Urgent Requirement-- ABAP Query
Hi,
I have a developed ABAP Query by the name "YCOPM_Bill_PUR".
In this query, I have an additional field "indicator". For this field, there is some code written, wherein either of the values "N" or "O" are assigned to this "indiactor" field. Now, the query should generate the output, only when indicator = N i.e. only those records should be displayed in the output for which the indicator field has value 'N'.
Records having indicator field value as "O", should not be displayed.
I want to know the place where I can write this condition and keep a control on the records displayed in the output.
Currently, the query output displays all records (irrespective of whether indicator = 'N' or 'O').
I have added the field indicator on the selection screen.
But, I want to know where can I write the condition :
if indicator = 'N'.
endif.
In "SQ02", there would be some place where i can write the above condition so that the output is trigerred only for those particular records. If possible, please do let me know.
In short, I need to know, where are the output fields getting populated and where can I write this code to control the output.

I have done the same . i.e. i have written the code for that particular field (indicator) in SQ02 and generated the infoset. Now, the correct value ('O' or 'N') gets assigned to the indicator field.
But, my problem is different.
I need to find the location, where the all the output(report output) fields are getting populated, so that I can place a condition on my additional field (indicator) and control the fields to be displayed in the output.
In short, I need to know, if there exists a location where I can place a condition such as "Display the output, only if field indicator = 'O' ".
I hope you got my query.

ABAP Query - Not showing the required changes through Z T.Code

Dear, it seems that you have changed the query in SQ02 and then just save it and not generated.
or may be after generation again clicked on SAVE button.
So untill unless you will not generate the query, it won't work.
Secondly, by chanegs in the query, i don't think it changes the name of the main program.

in SQVI there is this graphical tool to link the tables. Just right click the thin line between the two fileds and choose 'left outer join'

Create a request related to that Table Definition and add data content in the request like
R3TR-TABL-<table name>
R3TR-TABU-<table name>
R3TR-TABD-<table name>
and release the request
Take the DATA files and CO files related to that request in a Pen drive and put the same into the new server DATA and CO files and import using STMS.
For new program, it gets transported along with the program.
For changed program (which has already been transported once), you need to include texts in transport request - just go to Selection texts, save them in the transport request and you're all set.
whenever you assign a request number to the program
and also the selection texts willbe stored under that request number
so when u release the program
the selection texts will also go
after releasing the request if you change only the seleciton texts
only the changes done to selection texts will reach the target
and the rest of the things remain same
so when ever you release a request all the things under that request
will go -
Transport of ABAP query to production server
Hi!
I have developed a report with ABAP query in development server with transaction codes SQ01, SQ02 AND SQ03 respectively.
I also got the program name from SQ01.
Now , how to attach a transaction code with the program that is generated from ABAP query and transport it to production server
successfully.
If the program is attached directly to the tr code through SE93 and transported----- program is not found in the pr. server.
pls help me out , requirement is very urgent.

Functional requirements
Introduction
The wish of the customer is a printable customer overview. All desired fields will be shown in a new query called ZZADDRSS_CO. Double entries are taken for granted because of the data taken from the sales area and because of multiple contact persons. The customer accepts this. It should be made possible that the user creates and saves its own variant.
A second overview is needed, another ABAP will be developed for this requirement. This ABAP will show all the customer data and this list will have the possibility to be printed.
Solution
New Query ZZADDRESS_CO
The desired fields of attachment 1 need to be shown in the query.
The selection criteria are shown in attachment 2.
The column names of the additional data have to changed in the query.
Customer Overview.
Functional specification.
On behalf of this customer overview a standard SAP transaction will be used (transaction VC/2).This transaction will be extended.
The fields are shown on screen with the described headers. Printing of the overview will be done via SAP script. The script makes use of a fixed layout of the data.
The selection criteria are specified in attachment 2.
The layout of the customer overview and the SAP Script are specified in attachment 3.
Specification.
The next steps need to be performed.
1. A routine per infoblock need to be created in Include RV77UNNN. In this routine the data is retrieved and written down to the screen and script,
Example LST1_901 . In include RV77SNNN you can find the standard infoblocks.
2. Adapt via transaction SE16 table TFRM.
3. Create a new view in the customizing (sales and distribution- Sales support-sales summary-Assign Reporting Views).Assign the new view to the infoblocks.(Example view 001 is assigned to block 901).
4. In customizing it is not possible to assign the correct window and element to the infoblock .so this is done via SE16 in table T182A.
5. Adapt script. Copy script SD-SALES-SUMMARY to a Z-SALES_SUMM.
Assign this new version to the new view in customizing. Create in the main window the element who writes the data on behalf of the print.

Hi All,
I have one ABAP query which has been created for vendor details. Its using standard sap LDB KDF. Now there are some fields in vendor classification which are not there in LDB. so i need to add these fields in ABAP query.
those fields are in other tables, ehich are not been used in standard LDB.
Can anybody suggest me. Its really urgent issue.

You will need to change the Infoset using tcode SQ02 (Probably copy current infoset and change in the new one), in new info set you can add tables and even custom fields with ABAP code behind them.

I am using ABAP query using LDB. I want to fetch the record(current) within a particular dates for the corresponding pernr.
But when i gives validity dates it fetches all the record for the particular pernr.
Actually our requirement is to display only current status record for particular date periods.

In trying to create an ABAP query with parameters. So it will select data where fields are equal to the parameters entered. The default logical expression is SELECT.. WHERE... AND.. However I want to have an OR logical expression instead of AND.. how can I attain this??

You cannot just replace AND with OR in an ABAP QUERY. ABAP QUERY is a self generated SAP code. You'll just declare the tables, input parameters and output fields to be displayed and it will create a SAP standard code. If you'll try to change the code and replace the AND with OR in the SAP standard code, the system will require you to enter access key/object key for that particular query.

these queries are user specific and client specific and can't be transportable and you can't write your own code as you wish like reports

Wrong sequence in selection screen generated by ABAP Query
Hi,
I am developing a query to display the data in the view.
My query has 8 selection fields totally.
As part of my requirement I have added selection parameter in the
selections tab of the infoset and maintained the sequence as 9.
Inspite of maintaining the sequence number as 9 in the infoset, It is
appearing first in the selection screen of the query.
I tried putting different numbers in the sequence number, but even it
is appearing first in the selection screen.
Can you please let me know how to display the selections declared in
the infoset as per the sequence required.

Madhuri.Actually what happen when you declare your own fields in ABAP query . you have to care about the sequence . As an example if youre selecting lets say state name , you have two variables

2- land</b>
for state you have to select land first , if your state is first and land is 2nd it gave you the error of sequence .
Because you have to get data in land first in order to get state specific to the land .
it should be
1-Land
2-State
Just see the your fields , Im sure youre missing that .

How to hide some fields in ABAP Query
Hi,
My ABAP Query has a long list of extracted fields. I wanted to set some of these output to "HIDE".
This allow User the flexibility to decide what fields to show.
How can I set the field to "HIDE" in my query?

You can do this by setting the Report layout variant in following steps:
1. First define the parameter on selection screent for report variant.
2. Data decelaration for variant.
3. Value request to get already present variants on report:
4. If doesn't choose the layout take out the default report layout.
5. Initialize the report variant.
6. Apply the variant to the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY funtion module.
Here to generate report variant first to open report output and then as per according to user set the layout of report using the layout icon of ALV with summation on value fields (as required) and create layout name.

Hide/Delete lines from ABAP Query output when Quantity is 0
Hi all,
I'm changing an existing abap query. My requirement is to delete the rows from the report output where qantity = 0.
I tried the following ways.
1. In SQ01, select the quantity field and check the checkbox for "Display only field <> 0", but this didnt worked as it will
supress the zero from display.
2. I tried to write code in the Infoset SQ02->Edit->Code. I wrote the following code "CHECK vbep-wmeng IS NOT INITIAL".
Here the problem is, the code is not executing in the test client. When I open the Infoset in test(i mean development test)
client the code is there, but when i execute the program its not working. I tried using "BREAK-POINT", program executions
does not stop at the break point. There is existing code in the event "START-OF-SELECTION", this code I'm able to see in the
query program opened through SE38. I edited the existing code and kept a break point in between, and now checked in the
program in SE38, but the changes are not reflected. I'm able to see old code only(even after save n generate).
3. Gave search in SCN, google etc.
Please note.
1. I'm not using any Logical Database in the Infoset. Its a simple join of 4 tables.
2. Query is created in the Global Area (cross client) not client specific.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem and how can Over the above issues and achive the requirement.

I have an existing abap query whose infoset has logical database ADA.
Now I have to add a new table ANLC to this existing query .
My main task is to add 3 new fields in the output of the existing abap query One is a direct field from the ANLC table namely Acquisition value and 2 other fields will be derived from the following formula :
anlc-Acc ordinary depreciation + anlc-Ord. depreciation posted = Total accumulated depreciation.
NBV = Acquisition value u2013 Total Acc depreciation
Could you please sugest:
1. how to add the ANLC table in the query?
2. How to calculate the above two fields and populate the output in an abap query?

Suchi.No, above mentioned is not the solution for your problem.
I believe you want to write ABAP Query (i.e. Tcode SQ01), NOT the SQL Query in a normal program.
Now, if you want to put abap code behind a field in your SQ01 query then you need to create custom field in your infoset. To learn how to create custom fields I have written a blog: SAP Adhoc Query SQ01 SQ02 SQ03
Good news is that you do not need to create custom fields for the requirement that you mentioned.
i want to fetch data where one field begins with 1* or 2* or 3* or 4* .
For this, simply put the field on the selection screen by selecting appropriate check box and just use 1, 2, 3* or 4* in on the selection screen.
Where should i COUNT the data selected and display it .
when you execute the report, click on the 'Layout' icon, and select 'Column for number of rows'. It will give you last row with count. You can then save the layout as default layout so that it appears automatically.
If you want to do anything different than above then you need to create custom fields, see my blog for that. -

I am still not clear with the problem..I guess you require plant in your selection screen which you have.
i guess if you go to sq01tcode there is a option infoset query from where you can give your selection options and value.
have you selected all the fields in infoset and made a selection screen?
When you have done with your infoset you just need to diplay the fields and there is a automatic program generated.

When I open iTunes I click on my iPad. I can browse the general iPad info, app setting, even music settings. However if I click movies to change my ipads movie setting or try to transfer a movie my entire machine freezes. Any advice? Troy

Hi. I am new to Java. Right now I want to list the contents of a specific directory. One approach is to use FILE array. But I just cannot get it right. Am i missing out something?

Mac and Word say 2GB Flashdrive is full, when its not
All of a sudden, my 2GB Flashdrive is saying its full and Word will not let me save to it and I can't drag files into it. I know I've never put that much on it, nor have I deleted anything off of it. Any suggestions?
