URGENT:steps for registering a form in apps front end

hi,
i have created a form in form builder 10g(10.1.2)and i compiled that in my machine as well as in server.Now i want to register my form in apps front end and customize it.Can anyone explain how to do that .It would be more helpful with snapshots.

form builder 10g(10.1.2)I assume you have Oracle E-Business Suite R12, if you have Apps 11i then you should use Forms 6i.

I am attempting to deploy an application (.war file) using the Sun Access Manager Agent installed, (Reference http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3201/6n5eht3k4?a=view -near the bottom) and I get this error:

Now, when I remove the parts that http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3201/6n5eht3k4?a=view said to add, it deploys just like it used to deploy- just fine with no errors. However, I add that code and it breaks.
Note: The code was a straight copy/paste, so if there is any error in the code, it is because it's written incorrectly on the Sun doc website.

Well, if that was pasted on one line, it would be:

So it's supposed to be that way. I just tried it with the extra quotes, and no dice...

Steps to Register Oracle Forms 6i into Oracle R12 Applications

Hi All,
I have created forms using Oracle Forms Builder 6i(Database 9i).
Now, I need to register these forms into Oracle apps R12.
I read some where that, we have to run those forms from AU_TOP using some telnet with some unix credentials.
And we have to put those forms in the TOP from where we are accessing from the apps.
How to get into telnet? are there in credentials for that?
Could anyone of you help me in registering forms into apps?

I must say honestly that I got a little ticked when you have mentioned .odb is oracle lite.You should mention the complete name of the software whichever it may be as its not at all mandatory,everyone would know the acronym.
Anyways,a quick search revealed this.

Adobe for MSS PCR forms with 46C back-end???

Hi all,
A quick question - is it possible to use Adobe document services for PCR forms when the back-end R/3 system is 4.6C? Or do we need to be on Enterprise or ERP?
From what we've seen it appears that the ISR functionality in 46C is not enabled to allow selection of an Adobe form - thus ruling this form option out for 46C PCRs, meaning we'll use JSP forms instead.
Can anyone confirm whether this is the case, and/or provide details of what they have done for PCR forms in 46C?
(we do have a WAS 6.40)

If I am reading this correctly, you just need to install WAS 6.40 with the Adobe Services on it and then cerate an RFC to the 4.6 SAP system. Is this correct?

I have a datablock, STUDENt based on "fpkg_csm_stud.sp_student_query"
When I query the form I get an error, FRM-40505, on 9iAS.
However, if I created the same package as a stored database object, and based my form datablock on the database stored procedure everything works fine. I cannot find a reason why.
I know that forms can be based on front end based procedures OR backend based procs. Dont have a clue here, any help is great.

as far as i know there is no way to base a block on a 'front end stored procedure',
assumed that you mean a package in a library or form.
But what should be the reason for doing so, or the other way 'round why not just use a database package?

Fields for creation of BP in cProjects front-end are read-only

Hi everyone,
I'm a beginner in SAP-Development/Customizing so I hope this question isn't too easy
I can't create a Business Partner using the cProjects front-end (Ressources > Staffing) because the necessary fields and buttons are read-only... (> web-Dynpro Component: DPR_ROL_STAFF; View-Info: VI_SEARCH_CREATE)
I'm using CPRXRPM 450_700 patch 0006
The field-control is standard-SAP (0SAP).
My user-account has all cProject-roles + SAP-ALL
I assume i can change the behaviour of these fields in the Field Control but I can't identify which is the corresponding Object Category to apply the changes.
- Is there a documentation which field belongs to which Object Category in Field Control?
- Or can somebody tell me a procedure to find it out on my own?

generally it is recommended to use transaction BP or ALE distribution to get the business partner be created.
If you would like to create the BP in web UI directly, the user must have the Structural Authorization, see customizing path:
Collaboration Projects -> Resource Management -> Organizational Management.
It is very HR related topic, you may contact a HR consultant to know more details about it.

i have created a form in form builder and compiled successfully in server.i registered the form in apps and i have added responsibility also.what is the next step to run that form in apps.Do we need to create concurrent program and executable and add to the request group?Please help.

Do we need to create concurrent program and executable and add to the request group?Depends if you have custom concurrent programs. If so, then here are the steps:
To create a Custom Program:
- Login to System Administrator Responsibility
- Navigate to Concurrent > Program > Define
- Define your program
To add the Concurrent Program to the Request Group:
- Login to System Administrator Responsibility
- Navigate to Security > Responsibility > Request
- Query your Request Group
- Under Requests, select "Program" under "Type", enter the name of the Concurrent Program under "Name"

I have registered my form in apps,but unable to run it from front end.It's giving an error as "FRM 40911:Record not created due to sequence number generation error".I have created my own sequence in my user and I also created public synonym for it in apps user.Is it correct?My form is related to purchase order,so is there any sequence which this uses?should I use that purchase order sequence in my form rather than my own sequence?How will I know which sequence is used by purchase order form?Please help me.

How to Clear the history in Front End for one or more users

Need small help. Can any body tell how to clear/delete the history for a user in the BW front ends for example for a Query Designer or a Reporting user.

History is stored in DSO 0PERS_BOD. You can do a selective delete of data based on the user name from this DSO to delete history.

The function module KD_GET_FILENAME_ON_F4 can be used for selecting a file from the front end.
Similar way, I need to select a folder name (not specific file in it) through F4 help on to a parameter entry on the selection screen.
Anyone can help me with the relevant fn module or method.

Using ABAP Objects suits better to ur requirement.
The class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES should be used. In that a default method is there which shall give u list of directories.

Steps for Creating a Report in Oracle Apps

I need the steps for creating a Report 2.5 in Oracle Apps.
Please let me know the steps involved in detail

First you create the report using reports 2.5. (You need to refer Application Developer's User Guide to understand Apps standards for customization)
Then register the report in Apps:
1) Define the executable
2) Place the executable in the appropriate directory (You need to refer Apps installation guide to find the directory structure for placing reports)
3) Define the concurrent program (Pay attention when you define program parameters and value sets associated)
4) Attach your report to the request group attached to your responsibility
5) Run the concurrent program using SRS (you will not see the report when you open Submit Requests Form, if you do have permission)
The above procedure is applicable if you are defining the report directly in your instance. If you are using chain link, then you may have to migrate the objects appropriately.
Some of the above activities are usually done by System Administrator and users are not given permissions.

My question is, how do I run the form in the Oracle Apps? After registering it.You already have the steps in your post, just add the form to the menu and attach it to the responsibility.
My question is, how do I know if a form has a function that needs to be registered?Sorry, I cannot be of much help here, but you may check the Developer Guide and see if it helps.
