URL definition
Hello everybody
We have implemented EP6 SP11.
The url of the portal is http://portal.company.net:50000/irj
We have configurated the IIS to access to the portal using http://portal.company.net
In the portal we have some links to Internet, for that we have created some URL iViews but we have a problem.
When we execute those links the page is redirected to the initial page of the portal because the url is built as follow:
http://portal.lubasa.net/xxxxx . If the url was built as http://portal.company.net:50000/xxxxx the problem would be solved. Is it possible to change the header of the url?
Thank you in advanced.
Ruben Garcia
Hi,
Why dont you change the http port to 80 instead of having 50000. This will solve your problems.
To change HTTP port to 80, open configtool and goto dispatcher / services / http and check the port property and set your custom property like: (Port:80,Type:http)(Port:50001,Type:ssl)
Save your changes and Restart the SAP J2EE Engine.

Error after import external webservice(RFC) wsdl url to Process Composer
Hi all,
I try to use RFC webservice in my BPM as below:
1. Expose RFC as webservice using CAF (import external service RFC and then create application service use this external service)
2. Define Destination in NWA.
3. Create a Process Composer project, and import the external webservice(RFC) wsdl file as service interface in the project.
After importing, i get error : the port type specified for the ...binding is undefined. Check port type name and ensure it is defined.
If i import another external service, not RFC (such as business object), there is no error.
My system is NWCE 7.11
Thanks in advance,
Sinh.

Url error in 7960 on CallManager Express
I have 3 7960 phones configured for CME. One of them has correctly taken the url definitions and displays it on its screen but others give the following messages when the services button is pressed:
phone-1: To set up speed dials and other services for your phone, please go to (SEP_MAC address of the phone)
phone-2: An error occured and was logged. (SEP_MAC address of the phone)
I tried erasing the ephone configs and reconfiguring, resetting etc but any attempts have given result.
Any idea?...ThanksHave not configured CME. But should be similar to CallManager wrt Extenstion mobility. I guess, there could be some configuration missing and hence the Extension mobility services is not working. Check out the document below for the correct steps of configuring the same.

How to setup a Godaddy Hosted URL with a Mobile Me Web Host Account
Is this setup correct for setting up a go daddy hosted domain name and pointing it to my iWeb account?
CNAME "HOST" field = "www"
CNAME "Points to" field = "web.me.com"
I've posted a screen grab of my setup below.
http://content.screencast.com/users/LukeJMorrison/folders/Snagit/media/0499cc2c- f1af-408f-b215-c396013e08b5/02.23.2011-13.34.30.pngYes! You do see your own domain and page path.
e.g. http://www.epiwellness.com/Site/Welcome.html
not just http://www.epiwellness.com/ no matter what page you are on, like what you see if you use godaddy.com "forwarding" option.
URL definitely changes when you change pages.
Case Closed!

Two more questions:
1. Is there other settings needed other than just waiting for this setting to update on the servers?
2. Can you clarify if I will see my domain name or the mobile me domain name once a person browses to the site?

I’ve developed a program that uploads files from a user local pc to an sftp server using cloned versions of PS delivered objects. In the 91 development instance it is working perfectly. However when I migrate it to ST it is failing.
The error is "URL Catalog entry 'MY_SS_FILE_IMPORT'” not found. (2,716) MY_FLE_ATCH_WRK.ATTACHADD.FieldChange Name: add_attachment called from:
MY_RCC_DSE013.GBL.MY_FLE_ATCH_WRK.ATTACHADD.FieldChange statement:8
The URL catalog entry specified in the first parameter of ViewURL() was not found.. "
The URL catalog MY_SS_FILE_IMPORT URL id is in the PSURLDEFN table just like in DV. Even in the PeopleTools Test Utility it works in DV but gets the “doesn’t see the url id in ST. But it is there. Anyone seen this before??How did you migrate the url definition?
Manual, dms, application designer?
Manual
Typo?
DMS
Doesn't the url definitions, especially sftp, have a parameter table, where you define the userid/password/etc?
Application Designer
Should have been migrated fine. -

User kicked out of PS when running Query to excel
Hi,
Just to note, I am actually a developer and doesnt know a thing about configurations or any PS tech admin knowledge regarding installation and setting up Psoft. So please be patient with me since im starting this just now and only starting to gain knowledge in this are.
Just to give an overview, currently we are supporting US psoft and I am located in malaysia tranferring the servers here at our end. we are on UAT right now and having trouble with the psoft application itself and from I see it, it can be caused by how it is installed. Because the US env (server in US) is working perfectly but the M'sia env are having errors (server in M'sia). Just to remind that its the same env only installed in different location, you can call it parallel testing if you like.
Now with the problem, when the user tries to run a query in the Query manager and doing "run to excel", the user gets kicked out of PeopleSoft online and giving just the literal "Error" message. And when I look at the PSQRYSRV dump file (just learned it yesterday), can't really understand what it says. I try googling it but to no success.
Does anybody can help me with this? TIA!

How to debug WFXML 1.1 XML response?
Hello,
I am using the Extended Communication configuration of a Web Activity step in a custom workflow (R/3 version 4.7). The step is setup to start an external non-SAP WF using WFXML 1.1 and store the response in a WF Proxy container element using routing class CL_SWH_WEB_XML_ROUTER.
The external XML response has the same structure like a response I get when connecting the same WF to a SAP test workflow instead of the external workflow.
The problem is that the workflow proxy container field does not get populated during runtime.
Is there any way of finding out why a workflow has a problem creating the proxy object? I couldn't find any log entries, traces or ways to simulate the incoming XML response.
Thanks for your help.
Regards
MartinHi Paul..
This is a common problem when you are working with webservices, i have worked with them and not always the response of the ws comes like de wsdl says, depends of your wsdl provider.
I suggest you that checks your response of your webservice with the Enterprise Portal Web Services Checker View
For see this view in NetWeaver go to Window > Show View > Other > Enterprise Portal Web Services Checker
Put the wsdl url definition in wsdl url textbox
and the click in the letter W, this procedure brings you all methods and everything for play with the WEB Services.. and you can check the response of you webservices call funtion, checks that all the tags comes like says in the wsdl
Good luck

Catalogue problems in shopping Cart
Hi All,
We have a custom catalog built and that is Through Requisite(Bugseye).
When we click on the custom catalog it opens up the first screen of shopping cart instead of Catalog page.
I have checked the URL definition in SPRO(Define external webservice) the URL path is correct.
we have looked at 866121, but nothing has changed even after applying that note.
So where all the places that i can look for, as it is a custom catalog is there any issues with that.
Thanks in Advance,
Regards,
Kishoe Yerra.Hi. Sorry if this is obvious but you have defined it as a "standard call strutcture" in the IMG not as an "integrated call structure"?

Dave. -

Hi,
I'm trying to push some test documents into our content server and thought I'd be able to use CHECKIN_NEW service via a http call, but I always get a error message saying
<h4>Content Server Request Failed</h4>
Content item '1000' was not successfully checked in.
The content item must have a primary file.
I'm running my command from the content server host and I currently have the documents I want to push in under
/data/oracle/new (this directory is owned by ucmuser:users, ucmuser is the account running content server)
ls -l /data/oracle/new/1000.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 ucmuser users 1446 2009-05-21 13:40 /data/oracle/new/1000.txt
This is the url I'm trying, but have no success with:
http://localhost/idc/idcplg?IdcService=CHECKIN_NEW&dDocName=1000&dDocType=ADACCT&primaryFile=/data/oracle/new/1000.txt&dDocAuthor=martinst&dDocTitle=1000%20Title&dSecurityGroup=public&doFileCopy=1
The request is made by sysadmin
Is this something that should work?
Thanks
MartinIf you want to push file, you must read it content and pass it to the server. Name in URL definitely will not help here. I can suggest to use some kind of http sniffer (I used HTTP Debugger Pro v3.1) - then you will be able to see difference in what is sending when you do standard check-in and when you try to feed your URL... You will be able to see what must be sent for successful checking in. I did it once with java code...

Cannot add users to Calendar Server
Cannot add users to Calendar Server
<P>
You may get the following error when you try to add users to a new
installation of Calendar Server 3.0:
<P>
Could not bind as [nsCalXItemId=10000:00001, o=Ace Industry,c=US].<br>
Create ObjectClass for user [cn=John Doe, o=Ace Industry, c=US]... failed.
<P>
This is an inconsistent problem that we are trying to duplicate on a
regular basis. There are a few solutions:
<P>
1) Create another node. This seems to work every time.<br>
2) Deinstall the Calendar Server completely and reinstall. Be VERY
careful of the Directory Server URL definition. What printer model is it? I ask, because often manufacturers provide USB-only drivers for USB-only printers - for Macs, that is. In other words, if you know about CUPS from using Macs and linux, the manufacturers actually provide drivers with the comm protocol built-in, rather than make use of the USB "backend" available from CUPS. These are called "monolithic" drivers - they don't follow the unix/linux/CUPS concept of making use of already-provided modules.

How To Debug XML Serialization Error while deploy web services
<b>My Scenario</b>
I've created a Java Projects with a Class. From there I convert it to Web Service by creating the virtual interface, the web services definition and the web service configuration. After that I deploy to the SAP WAS (SP11). At this instant I only try to deploy the web services with the intension to modify it later for GP to invoke.
<b>Result</b>
When deployment the Web Service I get an XML Deserialization error. Error text is below.
<b>Question</b>
How do I go about debugging this? What logs are good starting point? Can I capture the entire SOAP response message somehow?
Thanks

... 8 moreHi Paul..
Good luck

Error when calling skillbuilder popup in edit-record mode
Apexers,
Iam facing another issue with Skillbuilder modal page(for those who have used this plugins). Ive the CREATE part working well the problem is with EDIT part to edit records via the link i applied all the steps and clicking the edit link pops up the page but the issue is for any clicked row the parameter is not being passed and seleceted record doesnt show on the pop up page where could the problem be? though if i set it back to normal link created by the wizard the edit link works well and shows that record on the editable page.
Apex 4.1.1/oracle 11gR2 ; issue happens in FF & IE
any help please?

Hi,
How do you define the "URL Location" in the dynamic action "Settings" region when calling the plugin? Is it "Statically Defined"? If yes, please make sure that you are setting the URL to the target page correctly - you need to set the appropriate page items of the target page in the URL definition.
If the URL is being set properly, make sure that the target page has a page process (before/after header) to load the contents correctly.

thanks. So, what happens in other browsers - chrome?
