Use OC4J jms provider in a java application

Hi all,
I'd like to send messages in a OC4J queue (declared in jms.xml) using a java application, is it possible?
Thank in advice, Cesare
I read messages by a servlet using this code:
factory = (QueueConnectionFactory)new InitialContext().lookup("jms/myQueueConnectionFactory");
queue = (Queue) new InitialContext().lookup("jms/myQueue");
connection = factory.createQueueConnection();
connection.start();
QueueSession queueSession = connection.createQueueSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
QueueReceiver receiver = queueSession.createReceiver(queue);
Message message = receiver.receive();

hi
if you wish to know how to send and recieve messages from a queue then there is a sample application available at the following link.
http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/java/oc4j/samplesPage.html
try the ch19 sample.
hope this helps

  • Using JBOSS JMS provider with XI

    Hi,
    I am connecting XI to a custom Java application developed on JBOSS app server.  The custom application is developed with connectivity using JMS.  I was told that JBOSS has a JMS provider used by the custom app.  Has anyone done this before?  Is it possible for XI to use JBOSS JMS provider?  How difficult is this going to be for synchronous interface?  Any information is greatly appreciated.
    thanks.

  • Error while using webmethod JMS provider with JNDI

    Hi,
    I am using webmethod JMS provider (not SAP JMS) with JNDI to connect to webmethod with XI. Central J2EE adapter engine is used and the comm chaneel is configured in with appropriate Provider JNDI Server address, initial context factory, Name of queue connection factory etc.

  • Configuration of JMS receiver  Using Jboss JMS provider

    Hi all..
    I am configuring JMS adapter as receiver.
    I am using JMS provider JBOSS .
    I hav done configuration as
    Transport protocol :Acess JMS provider with JNDI
    JNDI lookUp Name of q connection factory: org.jboss.naming.LinkRefPairService
    Name of JNDI initial Context factory :org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory
    in sxmb_moni I am getting blak&white flag
    IN Run time work bench In adapter monitoring I am getting
    Receiver channel. Details: Cannot instantiate class: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory.
    Can anybody plz tell me why this haapend?

    Did you deploy the JMS client jars to the J2EE Engine?
    Cannot instantiate class: org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory  sounds like the Framework can't find the class.
    Take a look here:

    Hi,
    I'm not an expert in this matter, but I will post here what I know:
    In NW7 releases (at least 7.01.05) it is possible to run JS, also to capture any WD Event and run your own JS code after that, using IFRAME. I have jQuery running here, it would take some time till you create a "framework" to enable some easy usage. I just want to highlight that is possible, thou I think it's a lot of effort.
    Not sure about CE7.1 it seems iFrame is deprecated. Still, being deprecated should not "block" the usage, thou it's not recommended since this functionality can be removed in next releases.
    I've read that CE7.2 has JS support, and I think you should try having a word with Armin maybe..
    Hope it helps,
    Daniel

  • Using external JMS  provider

    I am trying to use Tibco EMS as an external jms provider.
    I created new factory (named TibcoFN) in JMSConnector service using visual administrator
    Then I deployed and started it without any visible problem.
    Then I created reference in a web.xml file of web application.
    When I am calling lookup of initial context I always get naming exception.
    What steps am I missing?

    I am trying to use ActiveMQ as my external JMS provider and having a hard time doing so.  I've deployed the activemq jar file in the JMS Connector service > library, and defined jms-factories.xml like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <jms-factories>
      <connection-factory>
        <factory-name>jms/ConnectionFactory</factory-name>
        <library-name>activemq</library-name>
        <context-factory-type>
          <link-factory-name>jmsfactory/default/QueueConnectionFactory</link-factory-name>
          <initial-context-factory>com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl</initial-context-factory>
          <provider-url>sapvm-vc:61616</provider-url>
          <security-principal></security-principal>
          <security-credentials></security-credentials>
        </context-factory-type>
      </connection-factory>
    </jms-factories>
    But I am getting the following error:
      Application error occurred during request processing.
      Details:   org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'exampleManagerContainer' defined in class path resource [integrationContext.xml]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: javax.jms.ConnectionFactory.createConnection()Ljavax/jms/Connection;

  • Use of LORD APIs from external Java application

    We have a need (business scnerio driven) to write an external Java application for Sales Order/Quotation entry. We have recently updated to EHP4 to make use of LORD APIs built by SAP for CRM processes. We are going through published APIs and learning them the hard way (tral and error). We are making progress but slow. Currently we are working through function group ERP_LORD which contains 32 function modules (ERP_LORD_LOAD etc)
    Does anyone know have documentation on basic order entry scnerios and APIs to use and further information on variations of ERP_LORD_SET that may save us some time?
    Any additional information will be appreciated.

    It looks like you are missing buffer.flip() after your put as otherwise the buffer position will be at 25 (not 0 as you expect).

  • Use loadrunner to test Web Dynpro Java Application

    Hi Gurus,
             I'm using Loadrunner 11.0 to do load test to Web Dynpro Java Application. At first, I used web(http/html) protocel script, and I could record the whole business process successfully.  But the script seems very hard to understand. For example, the following script is so complex.

    Could anyone give me the clue or materials about WDJ load test using loadrunner? Thanks very much
    regards.

    Hi Zhihua,
    First delete all the cookies from your browser.
    Close all the internet sessions which are opened in your system. During your script recording
    Open only 1 session which you will be recording for java script.
    The above mention log is the cookies from the internet explorer.
    its of no use for the script you can even delete from the script.

  • Can I use JMQ 2.0 in a java application?

    Is it possible to have a stand alone iMQ client? I have a requirement where one of my applications which needs to communicate with iMQ runs on a different machine than the iMQ itself. I also need to have a separate JNDI repository for this application to look up administered objects. So in short I need to create a JNDI entry for an already existing Queue (or queueconnectionfactory) on an existing iMQ server. Also I need to know which libraries (jars) to copy to my application machine so that they can successfully access iMQ. I know I can do this for MQ series.

    iMQ 2.0 does support both:
    - installed only the client jar files
    - using JNDI to store the connections objects
    It is possible to have a standalone client. All of the jar files you
    need for a client is available in the client runtime package
    On solaris: you need to install the SUNWjqapi package on the client
    system
    On Linux: you will need the following libraries:
    fscontext.jar jmq.jar jnet.jar ldapbp.jar
    jaas.jar jms.jar jsse.jar providerutil.jar
    jcert.jar jndi.jar ldap.jar
    jms.jar -> is the jar which has the jms interfaces
    jmq.jar -> has the iMQ jms implementation
    jsse.jar -> is used for SSL comminication
    other jars are used for ldap
    On Windows: run the iMQ 2.0 installer and select a custom install
    when the "select components" dialog is displayed, select
    "client Runtime"
    Once you install the client runtime, your clients will need
    to connect to the remote broker. This can be done by:
    1. specifying the broker name on the command line
    (if you have changed the brokers portmapper port,
    you may also need to specific the port with JMQBrokerHostPort)
    the default port for the portmapper):
    java -DJMQBrokerHostName=<brokerhost> <your class file> <your args>
    e.g.
    java -DJMQBrokerHostName=myhost MyApplication
    2. Specifiy the broker host in an administered Connection Object
    for directions on how to create an administered object, see:
    Chapter 7 of the admininstrators guide
    (doc/en/userguides/admin.pdf)
    For directions on using administered objects, see
    Chapter 3 of the developers guide
    (doc/en/userguides/developer.pdf)
    If you are using JMQ2.0 and planning to use http to communicate
    with the broker, you will need to add one additional jar file:
    jmqutil.jar

    Hi,
    I am trying to intergrate Mckoidb into AS PE 8. Mckoidb does not implement the DataSource interface, so I am considering using Apache DBCP simpy as a wrapper around the Mckoidb connection to satisfy the configuration requirement. My intention would be to simply use DBCP as a means of creating a DataSource object, not as a datapool facility.
    My questions are:
    1) is this doable?
    2) Is it a reasonable way solve the problem?
    3) Any suggestions on a better way to do this?
    This would seem to me to be a fairly common problem as most of the open source databases do not at this point implement the DataSource interface. Possibly a genreric solution is in order until that situation changes.
    Thanks,
    Joel

    I also tried that with AS400 driver without success.
    But I kindly received help (by lancea) with the driver. I found out that in jakarta connection pool, tomcat uses the driver com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver and Application Server's pool uses com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDataSource.
    When using the new data source class name, the system automacally show me all the necesary properties, the same IBM toolkit describes.
    So maybe you can try other data sources name, maybe you can look at the source, or maybe can ask Mkcoi lists.
    One thing I want you to note. If you create incorrectly the connection pool, it is better to erase it an create a new one to continue trying, because I notice that if you change to the correct parameters the system will not connect.
    Happy coding,

  • Using the JMS API in Java EE Applications

    Hello to all,
    this is some sort of theoretical question.
    I been reading the JMS documentation for a while.
    1.I could not understand what this statement means :

    This section describes the ways in which using the JMS API in enterprise bean applications or web applications differs from using it in application clients.
    2. What is the difference to use the JMS in java EE web orEJB container and application client ?
    Thanks.

    What a developer is allowed to do is different depending on whether they are writing code to run in a container or not. The container already provides lots of services so some code you would write for outside a container is not needed when you write for a container. There are APIs that you are not allowed for in container code if you want to adhere to the spec.

    Thanks.Read more of that document to find out the differences. Application components in Web/EJBs must not create more than one active session per connection while application clients are allowed to do so.

  • Load sound in java application without use of newAudioClip api.

    In personal java 1.2, (JDK1.1.8), the method newAudioClip is unavailable to load sound. What other api can one use to load sound into the java application in this case?

    there's nothing wrong with the old one, except that it's a api of the applet. If you try to run the applet thru' the java app. (without the browser or applet viewer), the getaudioclip api will fail.
    This is the limitation I am facing, 'cos I am developing in Personal Java1.2 env.

  • Using Flex components in Java application

    Hello,
    I was learning Flex previously, and I thought I remembered reading somewhere that I can use Flex UI components in a Java application. For instance, I could use Flex for the UI, and Java for the backend. I can't find though the documentation for this. I read this last summer. I don't mean using Flex as a UI in a browser and Java on the server, but a Java application that runs on the client with a Flex UI. I thought what I needed was the flex compiler api, but I looked at the flex compiler api documentation and it isn't what I want.
    Does anyone know what this "part" of Flex is that I am talking about, but can't remember?
    Thanks,
    Vance

    No, thanks, but that wasn't what I was thinking of.
    What I remember looking at was some library that allowed wrapping Flex UI componnts in Java Swing components. Then the Swing components could be used in the Java app. One main objective of my wrapping Flex in Java is to use flash.media.Video class to play flash video.
