Use of WHERE clause to get 2 columns from dynamically generated html page.

I am using postgresql.I have to complete a java program , which is a forum like thing.User can login and submit question.....if anybody know the answer he can post the answer........Now the problem is that if more than one questions are entered it all should be displayed when we click on a "faq" button.........i created that one......these questions have the hyperlink.........When we click on a single question a text box will come........we have to write the answer there and answer should lie on the column corresponding the question clicked..............
Here i need the querry to write in servlet so that the answer is stored in the corresponding column only.................
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee help me as soon as possible..................

Trying to use a where clause from a table

hi,
I have a report and I need to use a where clause that is archived in a table, it is a different one depending on the row (colour=blue or number = 88..) I have tryied with ref cursor, dinamis sql, functions, packages and could not get it, any suggestion??

How do you use 3 Where Clauses in a query

Hi, i am trying to figure out how to use 3 Where Clauses in a Query where 2 of the Where Clauses uses a Sub query.
Display the OrderID of all orders that where placed after all orders placed by “Bottom-Dollar Markets”.
Order the result by OrderID in ascending order.
First WHERE clause checks for OrderDate and uses a sub query with ALL keyword.
Second WHERE clause use equals and sub query.
Third WHERE clause uses equal and company name.
This is what i have so far but i am pretty confused on how to do this.
My Code for NorthWind:

The book shows how to use the ALL Keyword but not in a Sub query with Multiple Where Clauses.

How to get the columns from SYS.ALL_COLUMNS and use it in COALESCE() Function.

I have table called Employe. And the Columns are Emp_ID,EMP_NAME,SRC_SYS_CD,DOB
I have Query like

I want to generalize the query like get the columns from SYS.ALL_COLUMNS table for that table name and want to pass it to COALEACE() function. I tried with Cursor. But i didnt get the appropriate results.
Is there any way to achieve this? Please help me out in this regard.

i have list item populated with many table names from a schema.
i have grid in oracle forms 10g and i want to fill the grid with the data that should come at least four/more columns.
i want to fire the list change trigger when each time any one table name is selected/changed.

by getting column names dynamically i am creating a record group
using this below query
SELECT COLUMN_NAME, DATA_TYPE FROM USER_TAB_COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME = <table_name>
but when timestamp datatype is there then it is showing error cannot create group groupname
but the record group is running successful on varchar2,number,date dayatypes
if any alternative is there i mean to say without using record group then tell me or where is the problem

I'm having difficulty recovering my girlfriends laptop, it has start up problems and start up repair hasn't resolved the situation.
I have mananged to remove the drive and save all the important files and pics.
However I haven't got a recovery disc for it and she is the other side of the world at the moment.

sorry for this stupid question. I have been looking up in google "where does apex get user details from for login in" and nothing answers my question. Basically I wanted to know when you log in your application how does apex know you have access to this application. How does it know you are a valid user because I am creating an application which basically checks if a user exist in one database and also checks if he/she exist in the second database.
