User Default Setting in CO11N

Hi,
In the Goods movements screen of CO11N, is there some sort of a user default setting where the layout can be customized based on user preference?
Actually, I just have a problem with the material description because it's quite far from the material number.
It's tedious to always drag the description beside the material number everytime I branch out to the Goods movements screen.

In the goods movement screen drag the material description as required and also arrange the other fields as required by you. Now scroll fully to the right side of the screen, there you would find a layout button click on that and save the layout as shown in the screen shot in the link...

How to convert internal date to the format of user default setting

In the BDC program, I need to convert the date, such as the sy-datum 20070427, to the format of user default that is defined in T-code SU01, such as YYYY-MM-DD or YYYY.MM.DD, and so on.
The user format has 6 six kinds, and it is not good idea to write the code to process. So I look for the functions or CLASS method to process. I can use the function 'ITS_GET_USER_DEFAULTS' to get the user default setting of the Date format and Decimal notation.The problem is that I can not find the function or CLASS method to convert the internal date to user's date format.
The function: CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERNAL can not do it.
The CLASS method: cl_abap_datfm=>conv_date_int_to_ext may be do it. But I do know how exchange the parameters, and fail to make it work finely.
Is there the functions or CLASS method to process it?

create a veriable :
data: v_date type char10.
then after getting the date in YYYYMMDD format, write the following statement.
WRITE SY-DATUM TO V_DATE.
this might solve your problem.

You can't use Default value setting in ME31K.
insteed of default setting you can use varient creation for your requirement through SHD0.
There you can use the transaction ME31K. & set the default value & then assign to user id.

Doubt on User default

I have tried to understand and replicate the screenshots at User Defaults - GRC 10.0 , but could not understand Loop and Ruleset.
- Function USER_DEFAULT_FUNCTION is calling Ruleset,and Ruleset has the operation " Change USER_DEFAULT_ID after processing expression LOOP_CONNECTOR_ITEMS.
So, could you say to which value will USER_DEFAULT_ID be changed to, and what is meant by "after processing expression LOOP_CONNECTOR_ITEMS. "
- I could not understand the logic of the loop.
- Also George's screenshots are not in sequence. He first adds condition 'then'. why not 'if'
Could you please suggest, as i have to review a User default setting.

Hi Plaban,
Since SYSTEM is not available under Request Header attributes, rather it is available as Role Attributes which are called as line-item fields while calling the BRF Rule. So, in such cases LOOP is a suggested solution, rather than using the Decision Table directly. Though within the LOOP, you can still call the Decision Table or implement IF/ELSE conditions.
So, basically we have created a BRF+ rule for user defaults which will return User Default ID after looping through decision table entries based on SYSTEM as usually each SYSTEM will have different User Default ID.

Value conversion according to User default

I have a Problem in a BDC. I am trying to populate pick quantity filed in my BDC ( Tcode VL02N ) the BDC works fine for a particular user default setting( NNN,NNN.NN ). But is the same program is used by some other user whose Default settings are different ( NNN.NNN,NN ) BDC fails .
I need to convert the value based on user default before passing it to the field in BDC.
pl. suggest me the solution .

Try to use the WRITE command before transfering the value to BDC table
DATA: QUANTITY(20) TYPE C.
WRITE <QUANTITY> UNIT <UNIT> TO QUANTITY.
<BDC>-VALUE = QUANTITY.
APPEND <BDC>.
In this way the WRITE statament'll write the quantity in the format according to user default parameters.

Did you mean Set or enable / disable? Anyways if you want to set, you can do it as follows:
1. Global: I.e. Available for all
Selection Variant: Global do not toggle the User specific box
Description: XYZ
2. User Specific: Available only for the user
Selection Variant: aaa Toggle the user specific box.
Description: uvw

User specific default setting

I have one ALV z-report.
I have created two layout which is user specific.
At the time of selection of layout system is allowing me only default setting and the field of user specific is showing gray.
What will be the problem?
Can anybody help me for this?
I want to assign that layout to my specific user.
But in the std report e.g. MB51 system is allowing me to assign layout at user specific.

Allow User to set their Default Home Page

How can I allow the end user to set their defualt home page? There is a User Profile Portlet but end users are not able to see it when they log in. Also, I want them to be able to just set their own defualt home page.

As a privileged user:

Oracle Portal Home Page > Administer Tab > Portal User Profile > Edit Portal User Profile > Preferences Tab > Default Home Page
On this page you can also set the Default Group for the user. As groups have a Default Home Page property too, the Default Home Page can be managed on a group membership basis, if needed.

How to set user defaults in GRC 10.0

Dear Experts,
we are trying to maintain the user default parameters for access request, so that the user default parameters can be provisioned with the access request.
we've found the note 1615552, but when we following the guide and copy the BRF Function id (80E0ED08B0561DDFA5ADCADA787E1EDA) of "User Defaults" to BRFplus->open object, it shows always "Not a valid BRFplus ID" .
Can someone advice, how can I find out the right BRFplus ID for user default function or I have to create it by myself??

Hi Ying,
You have to create first the applications, Functions and rules etc in TA: brfplus and the the Application ID of the function has to be associated to the application id i.e. user defaults and MSMP workflow in the customizing activity:-
Governance, Risk and Compliance->Access Control->Maintain AC Applications and BRFplus Function Mapping

User Language setting changed to default language in MS CRM 2011

I have install the English version of the CRM 2011 and also we installed Taiwan language pack. Users modified their default language as Taiwan. But after some time period, the users default language changes to English automatically. I wonder how this happening

Default setting for Budget Report S_ALR_87013558

Dear All,
In Budget Report S_ALR_87013558, when it is executed every time when we enter, 2 number formats are displayed, one in Lakhs (Factor 1,00,000) and one in units (Factor 1). When I change it to Factor 1 through "Number format", then it comes as per selection.
This is only in prod server, dev server is ok.
How can I make it default to normal for all users on client level, i.e. to Factor 1.

Execute the report, now change the number format as per your requirement, now after changing, Press Ctrl+S, this will save the setting to this report. so if you execute the report system will take the number format which you saved as default setting.

How do I change the default setting on the 'view scale'?

I'll try submitting this a second time - it didn't seem to go through the first time.
I have an iMac G5 (OSX 10.4.4.), my first encounter with Apple. I find that the default size that text displays on screen in the wordprocessing application is too small for my eyes (I ain't as young as I used to be ...). The text always displays in what seems to be about font 8 or 10, no matter what size I set the document font (it will print in the size I set, but not display in it).
I have discovered that I can change the display size by using the 'view scale' tab in the lower left corner of the window. Size 140 suits me just fine. Problem is that I have to change the view scale each time I open a new document.
Can anyone tell me how to change the default setting on 'view scale' ?

Line Item Display - layout default setting

In GL-Account Line item display I have set a layout as a default setting. Now I want to set another lay out as default. The problem is the old default setting remains as default ahead and now we have two different default layouts.
How can I delete the old default setting?

This layout was defined as user specific and now this layout appears as standard layout in system of every user and even as default layout. And now this user specific layout is accessible by all users.
Both above mentioned methods have not helped me.
Is it possible to delete this user specific default lay out, which got standard layout for all users??
