User define dimention in prompt of data pachage

I am trying to add a user define dimension as a data selection criteria in the dynamic script of data package, the dimension name is companycode, I add %companycode_dim% after %time_dim%, but when I run the package, all the orginal selection dimensions is replace by the companycode which does display and member list.
My question is can we add User define dimension in prompt of data package?

Hi,
You are absolutely right. These dynamic constants have been created based on the type of the dimension. Because, the name of the dimension can change anytime. However, the type will remain as it is. That is the reason, I asked you to check U1_SET, because for user defined diensions, the types will be represented by U1, U2, and so on. But, I thought so that this will not work.

  • User Defined Field that gives the date output of the last price update.

We would like to create a User Defined Field (UDF) with a Formatted Search (FMS) on the Item Master form that gives the date output of the last price update specifically the wholesale price.
    Last Price Update
    Pricelist 2 = Wholesale
    Is this feasible?
If it is feasible what is the recommended approach?
Current working UDF on Item Master.
/* Date output is based on all the latest updates on the Item Master.*/
    select max(updatedate)
    from aitm
    where itemcode = $[oitm.itemcode]

    Thank you Gordon,
We are looking for the date output of the 'Last Price Update' based on 'Pricelist 2 = Wholesale' which is the challenge.
These 2 are the parameters for the date output, I should have mentioned that in my original message.
    Last Price Update
    Pricelist 2 = Wholesale
Per reading a bunch of other similar Forum Questions it looked like it is might not be possible to do. With there being no date on the AIT1 table and AITM.Updatedate is based on any and all updates not just last 'Last Price Update' and not sure how to use the loginstanc.

  • User defined function for removing wrong data ... !!!

    Hi  Experts,
I'm having a source data like this

    1008     585     6895895     5846     654     5478
Some times I get a wrong data in my source file (above 4 and 5 th rows) .
My requirement is to remove these kind of wrong lines(entire lines to be removed) whenever XI reads the data. For this what is the standard function i can use in mapping. I thought I can create my own function to remove such kind of false data lines. It would be helpful for me if some body provide me the java code.
    Thanks very much.

    Hi Swarna,
    1001 545 6895895 1584 654 5478

is it the .txt file you are keeping.  Or the input in your mapping.
You just Tell your requirement properly.
If it is input in Mapping. Map like this
input ----->subtring( starting position 0 andNumber of characters 30) ---->Output
substring is a standard Text function.

  • Dynamic script - User defined dimension

    Hi
    I have the following problem.
When i create a task in the data manager, and i want the user to select some menbers of the dimensions to be used in the script logic, for example, if i want him to select the time all i do is a PROMPT tag with the %TIME_DIM% variable.
What if i want a user defined dimention, lets say product for instance.
If i use the variable %DIMS% i get the product dimension and all others, but i want only the PRODUCT dimension.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi Leandro,
You can try something like below:
    PROMPT(SELECTINPUT,%SELECTION%,,"Select the members to CLEAR",%DIMS%)
You can replace the above statement by
    PROMPT(SELECTINPUT,%SELECTION%,,"Select the members to CLEAR",CATEGORY)
In the above statement, CATEGORY is just the name of the dimension. You can try similarly with other dimensions too.
    Hope this helps.

  • Linking a User Defined Field in Items table

How to Link a User Defined Field in 'Item Master Data' table, to my own User Defined Table?
    Example:
In Item Master Data table, I want to add 3 User Defined Fields, for e.g, Country, State and Region.
When the value of Country combo is changed, values loaded in State and Region combos should change automatically.
I'm storing the relationship between Country,State and Region in my own user defined table. I want to load the comboboxes with a query from that table.
Or, if there's no solution to the above problem:
when the Item Master data table is opened, can we launch our own form?
Is there a way to specify that?
Please reply me back.. I'm a beginner learning SAP.

  • User Defined Object Default Form - Can't add record

    Hi,
I have created a user defined object on a Master Data Table with acccompanying Rows table.
For some reason I can't get any records in the Master table. SBO claims the operation (save) was succesfull however the table remains empty and the line I entered gets cleared!
    I'm running SBO2005ASP01PL07 so I don't think I'm missing any updates.
Anyone have an idea as to what''s wrong?
    Regards,
    Ivo Vink

For those that encounter the same problem.
A tool from a third party had made a small change in the SBO_SP_TransactionNoticfication stored-procedure,
This change produced an error when a transaction was done on a UDO becuase the object type of an UDO is NOT numeric but contains the name of the UDO.
The adjustment made assumed Object_Type was allways numeric wich it is NOT.
An error occured, resulting in SBO rolling back the entire transaction.
    Simple adjustment:
    If isnumeric(@object_type) = 1
    BEGIN
    -- third party added code
    END

  • User Defined Fields on System Form

    Dear All,
I want to know that how much User Defined Fields can be added on a system form. My problem is that I am developing an add-on for the Item Master Data. And I have used a lot of User Defined Fields on Item Master Data Forms which contains table 'OITM'. Now if I am trying to add any extra User Defined fields in OITM Table, I am not able to do so. I am getting an error as  'Internal Error Occurred'. What can i do regarding this problem.?  Help me. It is something very important.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
There is theoretically no limit on the number of UDF for a table. there is however a maximum number of characters for a record in SQL Sever.
As far as I know this is 4000 in SQL Server 2005 and older and 8000 in SQL Server 2008.
pls check Microsoft for the exact numbers

  • Data Encryption - Removable Storage - User-Defined Password

    Hello,
we are testing Data encryption for USB Storage and want "Enable encryption via user-defined password" to the entire device.
    But this is not working.
When i select "Apply password encryption to this folder only" and copy files to the specified folder, i got asked, which password i want to use and it works fine on the 2nd device without Endpoint Security Client to decrypt the files.
But reselect "Apply password encryption to the entire device" i got no prompt to set a password, neither i can open the files on the 2nd device.
I tried a lot. Formatting the USB Device (multiple times), clean the RSD Password, rebooting the devices, but nothing works.
Can someone confirm this issue or better give a solution?! )

I have already looked at blog http://weblogs.java.net/blog/kohlert/archive/2006/10/jaxws_and_type.html but unable to solve this issue. However, at run time using a tool like SoapUI, when this wsdl is imported, I am able to see all the params related to AccountIC class.
Can some one help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Sudha.

Did you try adding the the XmlSeeAlso annotation to the webservice
    @XmlSeeAlso({<package.name>.AccountIC.class})
This will add the schema for the data type (AccountIC) to the WSDL.
    Hope this helps.

  • Adding user-defined data

Okay I am having problems, obviously. I am developing a program where the user will enter X and Y values and the program will calculate the relational data. However, I can't even get a start.
First of all, the user defines the number of pairs of points they want to define. For example, they have 20 points, each with its own X and Y, so they click on 30 and then okay in the first window.
The next window will then take their answer and display X and Y text fields for as many points as they defined. However, I can't figure out any way to do this.
Feel free to run the program, the problem lies in the method setTextFields(). Help please!

If your teacher taught you to program like this they should be shot. There is no need to comment every single line (especially in upper case). The comments stand out more that the code does and doesn't add any usefull information. Obviously comments are important, but you need to pick and choose when to use them.
Swing related questions should be posted in the Swing forum.
Also, don't use AWT components in a Swing application. Label is AWT. JLabel is Swing.
I would use a JTable to input the matching pairs of data. Read the Swing tutorial on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html]How to Use Table to get started.

"CAQ"... and I click Tab key then SAP will bring list of BP Codes which begin with CAQ (eg. CAQU001; CAQF001 etc) for my selection.
    Is this possible?
    Regards,
    Karen

    hi.
u can create a user defined table enter your values..by creating columns like..
Customercode, customer name, vitst time, attachnment.
    but
"CAQ"... and I click Tab key then SAP will bring list of BP Codes which begin with CAQ (eg. CAQU001; CAQF001 etc) for my selection.
above one u can not do it..
all the cutomer codes will come if u use coding........are u can filter as per ur requirement
    else
if u say i  am not using the coding..
u can get all the  business master codes... but u have to use fms  u have to put it..otherwise u can not do it...

  • Validation returns : no data found + unhandled user-defined exception

Hi, I'm working with Application Express 4.1.1.00.23.
I have an application for timesheet management.
On one page, I've got a report (not interactive) in which you can enter the hours you've worked. First you add a free line, choose the task and then enter the hours you've spent.
You can only have one empty line at a time. If you try to add a line when you already have an empty line, a validation will display an error. It worked fine in version 3.2. Now we upgraded to 4.1 and get a weird error :
    1) The validation msg appears fine
    2) The report appears fine
    3) There is a msg at the end of the report saying :
    report error:
    ORA-01403: no data found
    ORA-06510: PL/SQL: unhandled user-defined exception
Could somebody point out the source of this problem ?
    Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your answer. Here is the validation we are executing. I'm pretty sure its fine since count(*) always return a value (plus we see V2 in the debug...) :
    declare

    begin

    apex_debug_message.log_message('-----------------------------------V1----------------------------------');

    FROM VIEW_TACHE_SYSTEME
    WHERE NO_TACHE NOT IN (SELECT DISTINCT NO_TACHE FROM TACHE_JOUR WHERE NO_SEMAINE_EMPLOYE = :P36_NO_SEMAINE_EMPLOYE);
    apex_debug_message.log_message('-----------------------------------V2----------------------------------');
    apex_debug_message.log_message(l_count);
    if l_count = 0 then
    return 'Veuillez utiliser la tâche vide avant d''ajouter une ligne.';

  • User defined table types sometimes show up a unknown data type in Profiler

A couple of our users have a problem when using user defined table types. Calls are made using UDTT as variables and these are then passed to a stored procedure as parameters. Sometimes the application returns a timeout. In such situations a Profiler-Trace
    shows the following:
    declare @p4 unknown
whereas the correct trace (that is sometimes displayed) should be:
    declare @p4 dbo.ReportFilterTableType
ReportFilterTableType is a UDTT. The users do have correct permissions for the UDTT (otherwise they would never be usable for the user). What could be the reason that the data types for the variable
@p4 in the example are sometimes returned as unknown and at other times are returned correctly as
ReportFilterTableType? Could this possibly be a network related issue?
    Thank you.

I know this is a old post, but i am also facing the same issue that too in my production server. Did you find any workarround for this issue. Please do reply. Critical problem we are facing.
Alka, Is your problem timeouts when passing TVP parameters, or is it that a Profiler Trace shows type "unknown" for the TVP data type name?
If your problem is timeouts, be aware that TVPs do not have statistics so the optimizer might not be able to generate an optimal plan for non-trivial queries. Declaring a primary key or unique constraint on the table type may help since that will provide
useful cardinality information.  You may need to resort to hints in some cases.
I suggest you start a new thread with details of your specific situation if the information in this thread doesn't help.

  • User-Defined Type does not display values in Table Data grid

I have a User defined Type that is a collection of one character VARCHAR2 values. In the Table Data grid it does not display the character values. I know on all our other Oracle development applications these values display. Is this a bug or is there a snippet to display these values?

I have created one form using screen painter displaying text boxes and bind them to the table.
This form is working absolutely fine when there are some data in table (i.e. Browse using navigation)
My problem is, when I click add button from tool bar the "OK" button turn to "Add" that means the form is set to Add mode, but when I click "Add" button after entering some data nothing happens and input data is not stored in Table. The same "OK" Button turned to "Update" when I do changes in loaded data, but my changes are not reflected to table after I click "Update".

    Thanks Nagarajan,
    None.
There is no such query. The table fields is directly linked to Edit Box or Combo Box in form.
From the examples I learned that I have to do something like this to get my table updated
    Dim oUsrTbl As SAPbobsCOM.UserTable
    Dim Res As Integer
    oUsrTbl = oCompany.UserTables.Item("DRIVERMST")
oUsrTbl.Code = oBPC.Value 'Item Specific of Driver Code Edit Box
oUsrTbl.Name = Left(oBPN.Value, 30) 'Item Specific of Name Edit Box
    oUsrTbl.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_FullName").Value = oMFN.Value
    oUsrTbl.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_FatherName").Value = oFTHN.Value
    oUsrTbl.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_BirthDate").Value = oDOB.Value
    oUsrTbl.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_PhoneNo").Value = oPHN.Value
    (Similar For rest ofthe fields)
    Res = oUsrTbl.Add()
Just let me know that is this necessary to do like above.. To be frank there are few more fields and matrices on the form which I didn't mentioned. I am just trying to get recovered from first step to proceed further.
