User defined deployment procedure (UDDP), directive, etc. reference or developer guide

Hi,
I try to make custom provisioning procedure with custom sw library component. But I don't know and find how can I refer to a sw library component from a directive.
Actually it would be really useful to get such a reference or documentation where I could find predefined variables, syntax of the usage etc.
Many thanks in advance.
Peter
!UPDATE!
I found it:
${ora:getEntityURN('Component directory/component name')}
But still don't find any documentation or developer guide.

Please refer to thread [Authorization Error|WDA adobe error] where various solution to the problem specified by you are described.

  • Opening a Crystal Report in B1 8.8 in a User Defined Form representing UDO

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to open a Crystal Report from a User Defined Form representing my UDO?
I had developed a 'Vendor Quotation' UDO and its  User Defined Form
I wanted to show the report while clicking the Preview menu in SAP B1 8.8 toolbar.
    I have created the Crystal report and used the record selection as {@OVQT.DocEntry} = {DocKey@}
    Please help
Also, is it possible to add Print layout and assign a default Print layout to this User Defined Form?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Arun

    Hi,
I also face the same problem. I make a master type using UDO. But i want to print it.
In my opinion ( i haven't tried this way ). If we make a UDO ( master or document type ) , we will find the docentry and object field in our UDT. Both of these will connect between SAP form and Crystal report. In crystal report we select the tmsp_doclinetypelayout. It is a store procedure which will connect between SAP form and CR. Before that try to modify this SP by adding the udo object.
Fyi, if i'm not mistake dockey is connected to docentry SAP form.
    Thanks

  • User Defined Field Print Layout Designer print problem

I am having a problem with a user defined field in the Business Partner - Addresses table. The user defined field is a "directions" text field that is intended to print on packing slips generated from the sales order. When I use the PLD to add the UDF in the header or in the table, all data lines in the body of the report repeat.

  • Regarding sqlserver user defined functions

    Hi,
How to write user defined functions dynamically?
Please help me in any situation

    Hi Bellam,
You post same question 2 times. Please avoid this practice on Forum, I
have merged the same thread  into this thread.
As other post, dynamic SQL is not allowed in user defined functions (UDF), however, you can execute dynamic SQL store procedure with parameter. A user-defined function takes zero or more input parameters and returns either a scalar value or a table. There
is different between user-defined stored procedures and
user-defined function. User-defined functions do not support output parameters.
For more information, you can review the article about User-Defined Functions(UDF).

  • Add User Defined Field (Landed Costs Window)

    Hello All!
Somebody can help us on this, we wonder if someone can tell us how can we add a user defined field in the Landed Costs Windows -> Fixed Costs TAB place.
We were unable to add this field, and now we're thinking that's impossible through the USER DEFINE FIELD function, there's not reference about Fixed Costs TAB in this tool, but if someone knows the 'how to', please help us.
    thanks in advance
    jssanche

    Hi Sanchez,
I am afraid you could not do that. User defined field is not be added into landed cost. Landed cost seems like process external bank statement. I have ever asked to SAP support about this (how to add UDF in process external bank statement) and they said it could be done using add-on. You have developed add-on to do that (DI/UI or UI API only).

    Dear,
I'm going to design User-Defined Conflict Resolution method. But reference site / documents is very few. It's difficult to find them.
Have you ever designed that ?
Do you have any sample scripts for that ?
    Thanks for advance.

  • SQL Developer user defined reports (appropriate utilization)

I have used SQL developer on a limited basis but I have never created a user defined report. Can someone compare and contrast the
types of user defined reports that can be created via SQL developer versus the types of user defined reports that can be created via
a tool such as Crystal Reports or similar tool.

    Hi user7753875 -
I agree with reidelme that it won't match the capabilities for fancy organisation/output of tools like Crystal Reports, but you can do interrelated parent/multiple child reports.
Check out the Reports tab on the SQL Developer Exchange for some examples of what other users have done with this.

Turns out no one has used that in a long time. You will have to do some interpretive cut/past from xml given by web site & report editor in SQL Developer. • Deploying c# procedure with user-defined type

    Hi
I've written a c# procedure which makes use of some Oracle user-defined types (c# classes generated using the wizard).
I will be calling the procedure from an Oracle package and one of the out parameters needs to be one of my user defined Oracle objects (basically a record object). My problem is when I come to deploy the package, it tells me "... does not contain any .NET stored procedures that can be deployed to Oracle"
If I change the user defined type (out param) to something like an Int32 or string, it works fine. AFAIK the latest version of ODT/ODAC supports user defined types. For Info I've 11g Client , .Net v4 & VS2010
quick example of procedure entry point.
    works:
public static void GetOrderCost(int OrderNr, out Int32 orderCost )
    Not work:
public static void GetOrderCost(int OrderNr, out ORDER_RECORD orderCost ) - Note: ORDER_RECORD is the class created using the class generation wizard.
I've spent 2 days now trying to get this to work, perhaps its not possible or perhaps my setup is not quite right but any help gratefully received.
    Ian

think I have found some small print which scuppers my plan. Good if some one could confirm and nicer if someone could suggest a workaround (without resorting to writing the UDT to a Oracle table)
    Oracle User-Defined Type (UDT) Support
UDTs are not supported within a context connection but they are supported with a client connection. UDTs are not supported as parameters to .NET stored procedures.
    Source:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14435_01/win.111/e10927/extenRest.htm#CJAHJBJI
So you can use UDT's within the body of the procedure (and can read them off the DB) but as yet its not possible to use them as parameters.

  • Calling Oracle stored procedure with out param of user define type from Entity Framework 5 with code first

Guys i am using Entity Framework 5 code first (I am not using edmx) with Oracle and all works good, Now i am trying to get data from stored procedure which is under package but stored procedure have out param which is user define type, Now my question is
how i will call stored procedure from entity framework
    Thanks in advance.

I agree with you, but issue is we have lots of existing store procedure, which we need to call where damn required. I am sure those will be few but still i need to find out.
If you think you are going to get existing MS Stored Procedures  or Oracle Packages that had nothing to do with the ORM previously to work that are not geared to do simple CRUD operations with the ORM and the database tables, you have a rude awakening
coming that's for sure. You had better look into using ADO.NET and Oracle Command objects and call those Oracle Packages by those means and use a datareader.
You could use the EF backdoor, call Oracle Command object and use the Packages,  if that's even possible, just like you can use MS SQL Server Stored Procedures or in-line T-SQL via the EF backdoor.
    That's about your best shot.

  • How to deploy jar file for use within mapping user-defined fcn

    Hi all,
I have a java class I'd like to called from a mapping user-defined function.
    Here's what I've done (but hasn't worked)
    1. Added 'package com.<mycompany>.xi.util.base64 to the source class file and compiled it.
    2. Created a sda with a plain provider.xml file, i.e. no references were made to any other library files.
    3.  Deployed the sda to the xi 3.0 j2ee server successfully using SDM.
    4.  Under the Visual Admin tool, I see that the library was deployed successfully.
    5.  In the import text box in the user-defined function (design time), I enter com.<mycompany>.xi.util.base64.*.
A syntax check returns an error indicating the package could not be found.
Can anyone give me pointers as to how I can get this working?
    Thanks,
    --jtb

    Hey James,
No! That's not the right way!
What you have done is for accessing external JMS & JDBC drivers in their corresponding adapters. For the access inside a mapping user defined function, it's enough if you import the jar files.
Look at this blog and you will be very clear!

  • Problem calling stored procedure with user-defined type of input parameters

    Hi,
I have to call a stored procedure with IN parameters, but these are user-defined types of input parameters.
    function fv_createnews (
    pit_groups in T_APPLICATION_USER_GROUPS,
    pit_documents in T_DOCUMENTS
    return varchar2;
    TYPE T_APPLICATION_USER_GROUPS IS

    INDEX BY binary_integer;
    TYPE T_DOCUMENT IS record (
    name varchar2(256)
    ,url varchar2(1024)
    ,lang varchar2(30)
    ,foldername varchar2(150)
    TYPE T_DOCUMENTS IS
    TABLE OF T_DOCUMENT
    INDEX BY binary_integer;
How can I do this using the TopLink 10.1.3 API.
I already found following related posts, but I still can' t make it up:
Using VARRAYs as parameters to a Stored Procedure
Pass Object as In/Out Parameter in Stored Procedure
Or do I have to create my own PreparedStatement for this special stored procedure call using Java and Toplink?

As the related posts suggest, you will need to use direct JDBC code for this.
Also I'm not sure JDBC supports the RECORD type, so you may need to wrap your stored functions with ones that either flatten the record out, or take OBJECT types.

  • Calling ORACLE Store Procedure with parameters in user define function

    Hi everybody,
We have a scenario connecting Oracle DB thru JDBC adapter.
We have to call store procedure with input parameter and output parameter to retrieve data from DB. The implementation was made using JDBC adapter by building the correct XML message with EXECUTE action, and it works fine.
Now we need to use DB lookup within mapping. I wrote users define function with SELECT statement (using the JDBC adapter) and it works fine but I need to call store procedure in ORACLE instead of SELECT statement.
I found lot of examples concerning DB lookup but none of them explained how to write UDF calling store procedure in ORACLE with input and output parameters.
I am looking for an example.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gigi

  • Calling procedure with user defined IN & OUT parameters

I have procedure in a package which I need to call from the JDBC. My problem is, that procedure take user-defined data types as IN parameters & gives user-defined OUT paramters. How do I call a procedure like this. Do I need to write the wrapper class. If so from where do I start, I mean I don't have any idea about writing wrapper classes. Hi,
U cant get the type record from the DB with java. I hope u r using oracle. Instead u can create a Type object and then make it as an OUT parameter. Try reading the oracle documentation for it (JDBC Developer's Guide and Reference).

  • User define table and store procedure install

    Hi there,
I like to deploy an addon, there are User define tables and store procedure need add to database, I wonder which chance is properly to add them, if add these user define objects in time of install, we can not get the enough information that connect to SQL server, and also create UDT need DIAPI. if put create UDT and UDsp in addon program, the problem is which DIAPI funciton or object can execute create store procedure SQL string.
    Thanks for any help.
    Lanjun

    R. Schwachofer,
    Thank you very much,
the way call isqlw.exe to run SQL script is a good way when install, but I confuse with two questions about this way. first, run isqlw.exe should provid loginid and password of SQL server, these two information need additional install dialog to get; second if use isqlw.exe the store procedure only create to the current company database, when create new compay DB the store procedure does not exist in new DB.
so I still do not know which way is the proper way to create SP for addon.
    Thanks in advance.
