User defined funcs in a Servlet

I am invoking a servlet from a java program. Some data is being sent to the servlet. I want to manipulate that data in servlet. The data sent from java program is received in doGet(). Now to manipulate the data can I write member functions inside a class within the servlet, create an object of that class and invoke the mem Funcs ?

  • User defined func: Unavble to merge two arrays in result list

    Hi
    I am trying to merge two arrays on the basis of "FEE" element in the input file;
    Actually there is an Attribute Name and Value pair array coming in the input file which has 5 pairs already(Notification + 100 , oversize + 8 etc.) see example below;
    <m0:Fees>ZB9</m0:Fees>
    <m:Attribute>
      <m0:Attributename>NOTIFICATION</m0:Attributename>
      <m0:Attributevalue>100</m0:Attributevalue>
      </m:Attribute>
    <m:Attribute>
      <m0:Attributename>OVERSIZE</m0:Attributename>
      <m0:Attributevalue>8</m0:Attributevalue>
      </m:Attribute>
    <m:Attribute>
      <m0:Attributename>OVERWEIGHT</m0:Attributename>
      <m0:Attributevalue>108</m0:Attributevalue>
      </m:Attribute>
    <m:Attribute>
      <m0:Attributename>SIGNATURE</m0:Attributename>
      <m0:Attributevalue>294</m0:Attributevalue>
      </m:Attribute>
    <m:Attribute>
      <m0:Attributename>RTS</m0:Attributename>
      <m0:Attributevalue>8</m0:Attributevalue>
      </m:Attribute>
    The condition is:
    CASE 1. If the FEE doesn't exist in the file then only the Atrribute Name and Value in added to the Array
    CASE 2 If FEE exist then add all the Atrribute Name and Value pairs as well as in the last index of Array add String "Fee" in Attributename and String "ZB9" in  Attributevalue.
    CASE 1 is working fine.
    but in CASE 2 even if i m taking an output array of length Attributename +1 and Attributevalue +1 and trying to add "Fee" and "ZB9" respectively, it never happens.
    Please have a look at the code below;
       //write your code here
    public void ud_Attributename(String[] Fees,String[] Attributename,ResultList result,Container container){
              String attribute_copy[]=new String[Attributename.length+1];
              String attribute_name[]=new String[Attributename.length];
              String array_copy1[]=new String[Attributename.length+1];
              //int len =Attributename.length;
              if(Fees[0]!=null)
                   if(Fees[0].equals("ZB0"))
                   Fees[0]="01";
                   else if(Fees[0].equals("ZB5"))
                   Fees[0]="02";
                   else if(Fees[0].equals("ZB6"))
                   Fees[0]="03";
                   else if(Fees[0].equals("ZB9"))
                   Fees[0]="04";
              try{
                   if((Fees[0]=="01")||(Fees[0]=="02")||(Fees[0]=="03")||(Fees[0]=="04"))
                        for(int x=0;x<=Attributename.length;x++)
                             if(x==Attributename.length)
                             array_copy1[x]="Fee";
                             else{
                             array_copy1[x]=Attributename[x];
                             result.addValue(array_copy1[x]);
                   else
                        for(int i=0;i<=len;i++)
                             attribute_name<i>=Attributename[i+1];
                             result.addValue(attribute_name<i>);
              }catch(Exception e)
              {e.printStackTrace();}
    Same way i've used for Attributevalue.
    But the result is
    <ATTRIBUTEPAIR>
    <PAIR>
    <NAME>NOTIFICATION</NAME>
    <VALUE>04</VALUE>
    </PAIR>

  • User defined function error in Labview mathscript

     I m Labview 2011 user. I had a problem when i use a user defined func in mathscript.
     I have used it well, but it doent work suddenly. It looks like below.
     function name turned to grey color suddenly. Plz help me.

    The last time I dealt with this, it was very confusing.  If I remember correctly, there were 3 different places that I had to set the correct search path for the .m file:
    1) Tools>Options>MathScript
    2) In the Project, right-click on My Computer and select Properties>MathScript
    3) Tools>MathScript Window>File>LabVIEW MathScript Properties
    The documentation seems to indicate that at least 1 and 2 should be the same and 3 only applies to that window, but like I said, last time I did this I remember having to change all three.
    Good luck!

  • User Defined methods

    Hi,
    I have a query as to where are the user defined methos in jsp/servlets are stored after compilation.
    and in a given jsp page 1.jsp when i include 2 files (2.jsp and 3.jsp). so when the 1.jsp gets loaded then in all how much total .class files get created?
    Thanks

    Sounds like homework question. At least I don't stop you from looking in the class folder yourself.

  • How can I call a stateful webservice from a user-defined XPath function?

    I'm calling a stateful webservice from a BPEL process using a PartnerLink which implements Custom Header Handler classes to handle the session state, storing the cookie as a property of the PartnerLink.
    I'd also like to call this same stateful webservice, in the same session, from a user-defined XPath function enabling me to call this from an XSL Transformation.
    Is this in any way possible? Can I access the cookie and attach it to the webservice call made by the user-defined XPath function?

    Actually, as long as the servlet returns valid javascript, you can indeed "call it" from the client. It will initiate a request and return the result to the browser.
    This example uses Perl, but it could be easily modified to go to a servlet instead.
    Note that it is only supported in DOM browsers (IE6+/NN6+/etc)

  • USER DEFINED FIELD ERROR

    Hi,
    The following is the setup.
    1. I defined a DBAT - ORACLE CONNECTOR and was able to provision users to it.
    2. Then I defined an user defined field in OIM i.e.
    2.1 added in the User defined field list in Users form - branch
    2.2 Added the entry with proper tags in formmetadata.xml
    2.3 And also updated it in the xlWebAdmin_en_US.properties file
    3. Restarted the server.
    4. And in the DBAT provisioning process added a new task, attached a process task adapter in integration.
    4.1 in Adapter variable mapping
    Adapter return value
    Map to - Process Data
    Qualifier - DEFAULT_BRANCH ( I think target attribute name)
    4.2 input value
    Map to - user definition
    qualifier - branch
    5. Added the USR_UDF_BRANCH CODE , Update DEFAULT_BRANCH to the the lookup usr process triggers.
    When an end user modifies from the account profile, it only reflects in the process form and not in the target table
    It gives the following error and also an error for email notification which i have not configured. it is using OOTB user profile edit process.
    ition xml of the connector 'DBPCAT'

    You need to give permission to update the process form to any users who would be the source of the change. So if joe schmoe is updating the user, they need permission to update the process form for any user they update.

  • BUG in DB XML? (when dealing with modules, user-defined functions)

    Hi,
    this post can be related to Different results for the semantically the same queries but here examples are even simpler.
    I have the module with one user-defined function:
    module namespace tnt = "http://tntbase.mathweb.org/ns";
    declare function tnt:filter-path($docs as document-node()*, $path as xs:string) as document-node()*{
      $docs[dbxml:metadata('tnt:path') = $path]
    };Then I have a query:
    import module namespace tnt = 'http://tntbase.mathweb.org/ns'  at 'file:/path/to/module/user-func.xq';
    (: this variable is IMPORTANT in the query:)
    declare variable $len := 3;
    (: here goes the same function as in the module, but with different name :)
    declare function tnt:filter-path2($docs as document-node()*, $path as xs:string) as document-node()*{
      $docs[dbxml:metadata('tnt:path') = $path]
    (:the query itself :)
    tnt:filter-path(collection("xml_content.dbxml"), substring("a:/doc.xml", $len)) If I execute the query I get *0* results, if I use function tnt:filter-path2 (instead of module's tnt:filter-path) then I get the expected *1* result.
    Also I experimented a bit with a query and got the following observations (independent from each other):
    1) If I substitute $len by value *3* or *3.0*, then I get right results in both cases, i.e. if the query itself looks:
    tnt:filter-path(collection("xml_content.dbxml"), substring("a:/doc.xml", 3)) 2) If I change the module's function so that it uses value comparison instead of general comparison, then I get the right results in both cases as well:
    module namespace tnt = "http://tntbase.mathweb.org/ns";
    declare function tnt:filter-path($docs as document-node()*, $path as xs:string) as document-node()*{
      $docs[dbxml:metadata('tnt:path') eq $path]
    };Please, help me out! I'm pretty sure it's a problem of DB XML and I'm struggling with it for a long time in this or that shape.
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Vyacheslav

    I upgraded from 2.5.13 to 2.5.16 and the bug disappeared. The reason why I didn't do it before was that I hadn't seen any relevant for me fixes in the release notes of 2.5.16 comparing to 2.4.13 (Actually I already have had two patches for two relevant issues in the 2.5.13 version)
    Sorry for the false alarm.

  • User defined function in a cursor

      Hi All,
    I  need to use a user defined function(which returns a value based on my Procedure's input parameter) in my explicit cursor. Something like
    create or replace procedure test(pi_input number)
    cursor c1
    is
    select  col1,
               col2,
              func(pi_input),
              col4
    from table;
    begin
    end;
    Is this possible? I

    Hi,
    User-defined functions can appear in SQL statements, including cursors, if they follow certain rules (e.g., all arguments are IN arguments, in one of the SQL data types).
    You really need to post your code. You don't need to post the compete code; a simplified version that gets the same error would serve just as well (actually better).  Include CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for any tables used, the function code, the code that calls the function, and the results you want from that code, given the sample data you posted.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0).
    See the forum FAQ: https://forums.oracle.com/message/9362002
    Does your function work the way you want when it is not in a cursor?

  • How to send a user defined parameter to a web form?

    Hi,
    I4m looking for a solution how to send a user defined parameter to a web form when I start the form from a html-page.
    I think that it should work to add the parameter to the URL.
    Example: I added myparam=myvalue at the end oft the URL
    http://my.server.com:7777/f60cgi?form=myform.fmx&userid=scott/tiger@mydb&otherparams=useSDI=NO&lookAndFeel=generic&colorScheme=teal&myparam=myvalue
    How can I fetch the parameter myparam in forms?

    You have the user the otherParams parameter, which you can specify in the formsweb.cfg file, or override on the url. e.g. http://myhost/servlet/f690servlet?config=myApp&otherParams=myParam=myValue
    In the Forms Builder, in the Navigator window, there is a node called Parameters. Create one in there, and then you can refer to it like a block variable. e.g. if :myparam = 'myvalue' then...
    At runtime, Forms will match up any parameters on the command with parameters defined in your form, and populate them for you. You don't have to do anything.

  • How to use a user defined function in XI

    Hi Experts,
    I would like learn how to use a user defined function  in Xi during mapping . Is there any step by step on that.
    Besides during when me make communcaton channels I see the following tabs...Paramters ..Identifiers ...Module...
    The module that is given here ...where and how it is used.

    Hi,
    You can write UDFs in java in Graphical mapping to enhance your XI Graphical mapping functionality
    The steps for doing it would be:
    1. Click on Create New function Button found on Bottom left corner on your XI Mapping window.
    2. Write your java code.
    3. Run the Mapping Test as usual.
    >>The module that is given here ...where and how it is used.
    The adapters in the Adapter Framework convert XI messages to the protocols of connected external systems and the other way around. When doing so, some
    functionality might need to be added specific to a situation which is possible with the use of custom modules.
    Typical example would be validation of file content when using a File Adapter or modification of the message payload to a common content structure which is not supported by any of the standard SAP modules.
    An Adapter module is developed as an Enterprise Java Bean and is called locally by the Adapter.
    An example on modules :
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/da5675d1-0301-0010-9584-f6cb18c04805">How to develop a module for reading file name in a sender file adapter XI 3.0</a>

  • Problem while extracting using RSCRM_BAPI in user defined job

    Hi all,
    Of late I have trying to executing Bex query extract thru RSCRM_BAPI and needed a way to be able to schedule an user defined job so for that so that I have control in terms of when I execute the job.
    I went thru SDN and found this Function module RSCRMBW_REPORT which is supposed to do the part however I am getting a error since my BEx query has a variable screen and I dont know how I can take care of that. I am currently getting the error from the function module:
    "The entry type of variable ZPM_MEDT requires you to enter values"
    Where ZPM_MEDT is a date variable on my Bex report.
    So the question is how do I get my variables to my Bex report while using Fn module RSCRMBW_REPORT. I tried Bex personalization it didnt work.
    For more information on RSCRMBW_REPORT module please refer.
    Providing job names in trx RSCRM_BAPI
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3ba5e590-0201-0010-59b1-cab51fd245b7

    Sorry for the delay in reponse.  I have changed the all variables either to populater by user exit or hard code it to a filter (constant).  But I am having problem executing the function RSCRMBW_REPORT
    I am using the following parameters and getting the subsequent error message.
    I_MODE:  OPEN/START
    I_REPORTUID: YC_OO/ZYM_OO_Q0002_2
    I_REPNAME: ZYM_OO_Q0002_2
    I_PACKSIZE: 0000010000
    I_EXECMODE: TABLE
    I_EXTRACT: ZOCARRY
    I_USER: R2067Z
    I_LANGU: EN
    I_SEPARATOR: ;
    I_BATCH_TIME: 00:00:00
    I_CLEAREXTRACT: X
    I_CHECK_MEMBERS: X
    Rest all fields blank.
    Now I am getting short dump in the GET_CUBETYPE() method in the CL_RSCRMBW_BAPI class.  For some reason the cube name is not being parsed from the report ID name "YC_OO/ZYM_OO_Q0002_2".  Am I missing something?
    Also is there any other way SAP provides to schedule RSCRM_BAPI queries to a table externally without using standard job scheduliing from within the RSCRM_BAPI transaction.
    Thanks

    This is probably some jsf library issue.
    Which technology are you using? (ADF is not supported on WLS 12c)
    If you have jsf-api.jar or jsf-impl.jar in your deployment, try to remove them.
