User exit screen for LM51--- urgt.

Hi gurus ,
I am trying to define new User exit screen for LM51. I have developed new screen assigned as,
logical == 9151 variant=9 actual screen = 2151
assighned in lrfmd with variant = 9
Even In Lm51 its not calling the subscreen 9151.i am not getting reson,
kindly help me

It is difficult to understand your requirement,but I suggest you please refer document on mobile data entry screen. Also to develop screen you have to use standard RF screen. Please consult with technical person who has worked on development of RFscreen.

Need user exit / screen exit for SE38 program variant save action to log addition details of variant changes done and relavent ticket details in z table.
Currently table VARID table stores only latest change and not history.
We need to avoid logging enabling for table VARID and custom field addition in it.
Please advice.

To find out appropriate user exit/ badi for transaction VT01n

Hi,
   I have the following requirement.
Cass shipment type (VTTK-ADD03) field needs to be required and should be automatically populated upon creation of the shipment document. The rules for populating the value (SO, ST, PO and RA) are as follows:
If any of the orders on the shipment are customer order types, then the CASS shipment type should be a SO,
If all of the orders are STO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "ST",
If all of the orders are PO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "PO" , and
If all of the orders are customer return orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "RA".
I have to find out proper user exit / badi to do this.I have tried with many userexit but it won't work.

DIfference Between User Exits, Screen Exits, Menu Exits And BADI

Could any one let me know the exact/practical dIfference Between User Exits, Screen Exits, Menu Exits And BADI. ? And why BADIs are more proned to use?

User Exits:
A user exit is a three character code that instructs the system to access a program during system processing.
SXX: S is for standard exits that are delivered by SAP. XX represents the 2-digit exit number.
UXX: U is for user exits that are defined by the user. XX represents the 2-digit exit number
Menu Exits:
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu items text when activating the item in an add-on project.
Screen Exits:
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screens flow logic.
BADIs:
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
And why BADIs are more proned to use?
In contrast to above customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, partner, and customer solutions, as well as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). Definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins can be created at each level within such a system infrastructure.
SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to control add-in implementation and make it dependent on specific criteria (on a specific Country value, for example).
All ABAP sources, screens, GUIs, and table interfaces created using this enhancement technique are defined in a manner that allows customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. In order to better understand the programming techniques behind the Business Add-In enhancement concept, SAP recommends reading the section on ABAP Objects.

The basic rule in SAP as far as ABAP workbench developments are concerned is "Do not modify the source code of the program"
Since needs and requirements keep on changing from client to client and for various business scenarios, there is a need to customise the programs as per client requirement.
For this purpose, SAP has provided numerous list of user-exits also known as enhancements, which is nothing but a program which will deal with the client additional requirement, without modifying the source code of the program. These exits are already provided by SAP. You can see the list of user-exits provided by using the transaction code SMOD. If you cannot find an user exit which match with client requirements, then you can tell SAP to create a new user exit.
As far as screen exit is concerned, as per the client requirement if the user wants a separate screen to appear on execution of a particular task, which deviates from the standard sap provided flow of transactions, you write a screen exit. In such case you first prepare the screen using the screen painter and define it as to after which sap screen you want this screen to appear for processing the transaction further.

User Exit MIGO for Purchase Orders

I need to check a purchase order during the Migo process.
I tried the User Exit EXIT_SAPLEINR_001, but the break-point has no effect. The user- exit is useful for schedule agrmts but it seems that there is a different handling.
Do you have an idea where I can check the MIGO date?

User Exit/Badi for G/L account assignment in ME21n/ME22n

Hi All,
I need user exit/badi for account assignment in item details for following requirement.
If user changes G/L account of the first line item then I have to copy same G/L account to all line items.
Please suggest me suitable user exit for this.

hello,
follow the steps.......
For User Exit's
goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that,
then goto to-> attribute take the package name and
Goto SMOD tcode ->Utilities->give the package name and F8
then a list of exits will display for that tcode as well as that package.
u can check the table MODSAP
For BADI's,
1)goto to tcode SE24 give the CL_EXITHANDLER and display and then double click on the GET_INSTANCE
keep Break point at this location 'call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface'
then the tcode it will trigger there and we can debugg there we can find badi'for that tcode and then remove the break point.
2)Goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that program will display's
then press crtl+F then cl_exithandler

user exit IPRM0002 for preventive maintenance
has anyone used this user exit? or BADI: BAdI: IPRM_MCP_SCHE_CHANGE ?
I seem to have some difficulty in knowing how to use these....
I need to basically be able to influence a calling date for next PMorder to be opened but documentation is not explanatory and, even if I do know what these exit/badi are used for, i do not understand how to use the parameters provided.

I dont think you would be able to test the exit if you dont implement them for the user exits simply passing the parameters wont help,actually there is a process of implementing a USER-EXIT i suppose u would already be familiar to it, I order to activate the exit you have to create a project in CMOD transaction and assign the enhancement to that and then also create the include that is avaliable inside the FM and there you would be able to put your code.
For the BAPIs ,yes the control should go inside the BADI once you put a breakd point inside the right method but there to you need to implement the BADI and then you can put your code in the method for the effects to take place and you can test.
The detail process of implementation are already avaliable on SCN, It seems that you dont have developer authorizations so i would suggest to take help from some one who has, Best of Luck:).

Hi,
Execute transaction SE24
Give class name CL_EXITHANDLER
Open GET_INSTANCE method.
Set a break point below line
CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
Now run trasaction PSV1, and your control will break at each BADI(If any), exit name and instance will give you the BADI details.
I think this is one of the simplest way.
