UserInfo Object - adding a UserInfoMap record for PEI
I am creating a onAfterLogin PEI, which uses "LookupUserInfoSettings("DefaultCommunity") to force a redirect to a User's default community. That default community will be populated into the PTPropertyData table via a PWS (which has not yet been written).
After creating the property, adding it to the Global Object Property Map | User, I manually set the value using "AddUserInfoSetting("DefaultCommunity","201").
When trying to use LookupUserInfoSettings("DefaultCommunity") , I notice in PTSpy, that it runs a query which references the table -- PTUserInfoMap. The Property - DefaultCommunity - is not in that table, and thus the query fails.
How can I get that Property into that table, besides manually putting it there? Is there any harm in manually adding that Property to the PTUserInfoMap table? Can anyone suggest another way to make my DefaultCommunity Property available for the onAfterLogin PEI? ...michael
You can modify the map through the UI by opening the User Profile Manager and going to the User Information - Property Map page.
Also, calling AddUserInfoSetting won't persist the setting to the DB, IPTUserInfo was originally designed for in-memory values only in 4.5, and then we wired up a way to populate it from User Profile data in 5.0. To persist the setting you either need to use the IPTObjectProperties interface or call IPTProperty.UpdateValues().

Record Management. Search record by objects added into the record
Hi all,
We would like to navigate from the gos (generic object service) of a business object to the record where this object is added. In principle the object will be added just to one record and it will be manually added from the organizer in the specific record. The point is that when someone is at the business object and at the gos press the record button, will navegate to the record.
Our problem is how without adding any specific field can we know the record where this object was previously manually added.
Any ideas? I was thinking of updating the attributes of the record (for example reference) after the object is added in the organizer, with the value of the object but I don´t know if there is a exit o service I could use when the object is added, the could give me the value of the object and also how to get the record values in order to update its attributes.
Apart from this, can anyone tell me, in the definition of a record model, for an object model node, what the relationship is used for? or where to find documentation, because I hope I could set a relationship with the record and the object that aftewards could be useful for my problem but when clicking there it just appear an screen with Available relationship _ Other objects but I can set any object o parameter and also in a record object I don´t find anything related with this.

Pushed my site live, need to modify domain records for Gmail
Was able to push my site live and now the site domains in site settings has all the correct settings for
www.mydomain,com going to start page, mydomain.worldsecuresystems.com going to start page, mydomain.com forwarding to www.mydomain.com, and mydomain.businesscatalyst.com going to start page.
Somewhere in the process of connecting the domain name with the test site, i said that Gmail would be used. in the mx records listed in Site Domains in my BC dashboard show the 5 standard google servers (aspmx.l.google.com, alt2.aspmx.l.google.com, etc)
I added a CNAME record for mail.mydomain.com to point to ghs.googlehosted.com
now, when i browse to www.mydomain.com or mydomain.com i do see the site that i'm publishing through muse, that i pushed live.
when i go to mail.mydomain.com i get a google 'can't find' error. i'm thinking i just need to be patient, even thought the basic site stuff seems to direct correctly. if a BC person is looking at this, have i set this up correctly and just need to wait for it to catch?I have checked the sites under your account and the mail domain seems to be working well for all of them.

Adding new object type (field BKPF-AWKEY) for BAPI posting
Hi everyone,
I am posting to SAP GL using an input file to read the data and transfer it to BKPF and BSEG tables.
The problem is I have to use BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST, and it expects values for OBJ_KEY and OBJ_TYPE.. For now, OBJ_TYPE creates a problem, because if I use BKPF, it says it cannot post using this object type, as it is for SAP internal use only.
Does anyone know how to add a new object type for the customer namespace, which can be manually used for this kind of posting? I know that the new entry must be made in tables TTYP, TTYPT, and possibly TTYPV, for which the maintainence view exists: V_TTYPV.
How to add an entry here, or where can I find it in customizing?

I'm running the DNS server role on Windows Server 2012 R2 on a physical machine on my home network.
My AD is configured with a non-registered name - let's say it's "home.acme.ca" and the DNS server is configured to host that zone. I also configured a 2nd zone in the DNS server called "myinf.acme.ca". They both run on a physical
server with an IP of 192.168.1.10
The DHCP server on my Cable Modem is configured to hand out 192.168.1.10 as the only DNS server to every device on my network. On my servers (with static IP addresses), 192.168.1.10 is configured as the only DNS server available for them.
I took the DNS servers from my Cable Provider and configured a Forwarder on my server to send name resolution requests to them only if my DNS server can not answer the request - basically for any name resolution request that does not end with ".home.acme.ca"
or ".myinf.acme.ca"
The "home.acme.ca" zone is populated with 'A' records for all of the physical and virtual servers and PC's on my network.
The "myfin.acme.ca" zone is populated with 'CNAME' records that point directly to the 'A' record in "home.acme.ca" - for example, I have a serve named s000abc123ww.home.acme.ca with an 'A' record providing an IP address of 192.168.1.20 and
I created a 'CNAME' (alias) record named 'webserver.myinf.acme.ca' which points to the 'A' record 's000abc123ww.home.acme.ca'
2 of my 6 machines can resolve the alias but not the real name of the server!
.10 is the Domain Controller. All of the other machines (except .98) are members of the home.acme.ca domain.
I attempted to ping 's000abc123ww.home.acme.ca' AND 'webserver.myinf.acme.ca' on the following 6 computers. I used the fully qualified name in all cases.
4 of the below machines are able to resolve BOTH names. The other 2 can resolve the Alias but not the real name!
I don't understand how this is possible, but I would like to fix it...!!! Please help?

.21 (which is configured nearly identically to .20 and .22) can resolve and ping the Alias, but not the real name.
.98 can also resolve and ping the Alias, but not the real name.
The rest of the machines can resolve and ping both the alias and the real name.
All of the Virtual Machines are running under Hyper-V on the .10 physical server.
All the devices are on the same subnet.

CNAME resource records are recommended for use in the following scenarios:
• When a host that is specified in an A resource record in the
same zone needs to be renamed
• When a generic name for a well-known server, such as www, must resolve to a group of individual computers (each with individual A resource records) that provide the same
service, for example, a group of redundant Web servers
Therefore please try to create your CNNAM record in the same zone and try again.

in LSMW after you give Project-Subproject and Object.
1)Go to-> Maintain Object Attributes -> double click
2)Press Display/Change Button at top left to make editable mode.
3)Select radiobuton -> Batch Input -> Give Recording name say Z_mm01
4) Click the Recording Overview boton on right -> Give TCode which u want to record....

Import multiple info records for 1 material item in repository
Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
Systems:
SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
ECC 6.0
SRM-MDM 2.0
PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?

@ Shai: you are right; the standard SRM-MDM 2.0 catalog repository has a qualified lookup table u2018priceu2019, in which itu2019s possible to store the info record data. The standard fields in this sub-table are: Purchase Org, Amount, Currency Lower B, PIR-ID, price based quantity and Price based quantity UoM.
I added some extra fields (non qualified), to accompany the remaining info record data (product no. u2013 vendor id u2013 product category) which is exported/imported, via the standard extraction program in R/3: Tcode MECCM
I tried the solution Ravi proposed. This scenario works fine when, for example you want to maintain multiple info records for one specific material record in the main table (all info records related to the same source of supply, i.e. vendor). But as I described, the info records we import for one product can have different vendors.
The source of supply (vendor) in the shopping cart of SRM is determined via the u2018supplieru2019 field in the main repository table (which is in itself a flat lookup table ). What happens now is that all related info records are added to the u2018price informationu2019 field of the specific product record in the main table. Thus info records which have different suppliers are attached to a record in the main table which will have one specific supplier in the u2018supplieru2019 field. So from my point of view this will not work.
I am still stuck with the situation that the material master import will only import one record for every distinct product, which can have multiple info records. The info records can/will have different vendors. As the supplier field in the main table determines the source of supply in the shopping cartu2026. Iu2019am seeking for a solution which will duplicate the material records in the main table, based on the amount of imported info records for that specific material record, that have distinct vendors.
Shai, if you have some useful info on how you accomplished this requirement on a previous version of SRM-MDM, it would be greatly appreciated if you can share it..

Authorization object in Purchasing Info Record

I can't find an authorization object in the purchasing info record to block the acces to the general fields at client level, user by user.
I have found only the following authorizations object:
M_EINF_EKO : Purchasing Organization in Purchasing Info Record
M_EINF_EKG : Purchasing Group in Purchasing Info Record
M_EINF_WRK : Plant in Purchasing Info Record
S_TCODE : Transaction Code Check at Transaction Start
An authorization object like 'M_MATE_MAN : Material Master: Data at Client Level' doesn't exist for the Purchasing Info Record?

If dont have Authorization object in Purchasing Info Record, You can create the Spool request Number in SU53 Transction Code, send to Your Basis people, he will priovide the Authorization object in Purchasing Info Record. -
HELP!! Stored Procedures - Adding and Inserting Records
Can ANYONE tell what I'm doing wrong? I'm learning PL/SQL, and I don't know what I'm missing here.
For starters, I'm trying to write a stored procedure to:

Would it be more efficient to use a cursor to fetch the rows containing the null value or is a stored procedure OK for this?

Is there a possibility for adding new selection criterias for object MM_EKKO? Any exits for Release 4.6c?
Deactivated means that you have executed a 2-step archiving.
You have different residence times. SAP set the deletion flag if residence time one is met, but residence time 2 not yet.
If both times are met, the PO gets archived.
for examples see OSS note 948493 - Residence time in new reports RM06EV47, RM06BV47
You probably have customized the test variant for MM_EKKO as production variant, other wise SAP would not have updated your database. -

2012R2 hyper-v failover cluster Cluster name object has no DNS record created
I’m trying to setup a 2-node ws2012R2 cluster using ws2008R2 AD(with DNS) but got an issue with DNS entry creation on AD. I also tried ws2012 AD but it's the same problem.
The individual node DNS entries were created on AD automatically upon joining AD but I can’t get AD to create DNS entry for my cluster name object automatically. AD will have cluster name computer
created but no record for cluster name in DNS entries

How to populate invoice reference field (bseg-rebzg) in accounting document
Hi, I am working on a scenario in which first a billing document and its corresponding accounting document (say A) is generated. Then if there ia any correction, we create a credit memo request. From this credit memo request we create a credit note.

Added folder..files out of order
Adding folder with all files correctly sorted by name, results in out of order sort into itunes library...shuffle is OFF, and most folders import OK. Order is important as these are audiobook files.The listing can start with "Lecture 9" and then list
