Using a lookup in a filter

Question

I am trying to create some kind of join between two excel tables I am using as my date source for a project siena project and I am trying to do so by nesting a lookup in a filter. The expression I am using is
Filter(Table_0__2, Number = LookUp(Table_0, Name = "Dropdown1!Selected", Number)
In table _0 I have names and numbers (in a 1:1 relationship) and in table_0__2 I only have numbers.
Also, in my Dropdown1, you are able to select all of the names from table_0.
So what I am trying to do is filter a gallery based on the number in table_0__2, depending on which name is selected in dropdown1.
Am I looking at this the right way? Or am I totally off base?

Thank you for your question. I believe you are not completely off base. Try this example out and see if it helps to explain things:
1) Add a label.
2) Set this rule on the label: Text = First(Filter(Table_0__2, Number = LookUp(Table_0, Name = "Dropdown1!Selected", Number))!Number
This should set the label's text to the number corresponding to the selected name. The "Filter" function potentially returns multiple rows (although in your case it probably returns 1), so we use First to select the first of the items returned.
