Using an RTC engine in a client - redundant?

I have a design for a Run-To-Completion engine in a server for asynchronous processing. A MessageListener stacks requests contained in the messages in a (non-persistent) work queue. A worker thread processes them at its leisure, sending each result back. The MQ broker is using persistent mode, with the intention to delete each message after it is processed. But this seems to allow a failure mode where my server can go down with unprocessed (and unsaved) messages in its queue.
Now it occurs to me that I may have re-invented the wheel. Isn't an RTC engine essentially the result when I set the session to CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE mode, then have the listener process a message before acknowledging it? The broker acts as the work queue and the listener as the worker thread. So a separate RTC engine gains nothing but headaches.
Have I finally figured it out? Any compelling reason to use a separate RTC engine?

What is the difference then between "Extend a wireless network" and "Participate in a WDS network" wireless modes? I wasn't familiar with WDS, so I have been trying the "Extend" mode.
The "Extend a wireless network" is a new feature that came out with the new 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Stations (AEBSn), which allows for extending the 802.11n network (wirelessly) by using a second AEBSn. WDS, on the other hand, operates in the 802.11b/g radio band and allows the ability to extend a wireless network with other non-"n" AirPort (& a very few non-Apple) routers.
Just to clarify:
I'm using an AirPort Extreme, not Express.
I don't want the AirPort to work as an access point itself. I just want it to work as a bridge between its own wired ethernet switch, and the Cisco AP.
Sorry, for my confusion. To operate as a "bridge" in this configuration, the AEBSn would still need to be connected via Ethernet to the Cisco router. The AEBSn, unlike the AX, does not offer a "wireless client" mode nor can you use it's "Extend" or "WDS" capabilities with the Cisco router.

    I'm trying to using XMLBeans to send a document to a web service from a standalone
    Java client. I'm using the PurchaseOrder (easypo) example document, and the service
    expects a parameter of type PurchaseOrderDocument. The client proxy class generated
    by WebLogic Workshop, however, expects to send a parameter of type PurchaseOrder.
    In the client, I can instantiate a PurchaseOrderDocument, and then obtain a PurchaseOrder
    (e.g. pod.getPurchaseOrder() ), but the returned class is not compatible with
    the PurchaseOrder type that the client proxy expects.
    In a previous attempt (not using Workshop), the client would not compile because
    it expected to send a non-abstract class with a public default constructor (presumably
    a JAX-RPC requirement), and XMLBeans had generated an interface.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I have been experiencing similar problems with the HTML Editor and have managed to find an answer that should start to answer some of my questions. The Apex HTML Editor Standard is actually an HTML editor called FCKeditor. The FCKeditor has a Javascript API that can be found at http://docs.fckeditor.net/FCKeditor_2.x/Developers_Guide/JavaScript_API. Unfortuately this doesn't seem to give the whole answer and I found more at http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:49607.
    I needed to get the text entered within my html editor standard (e.g. P1_MYTEXT) and use it within my javascript function. I did this by using the following script

  • Why does the message '500 internal server error' appear when I use any search engine?

    I am able to type a web address and use the internet successfully but when using ANY search engine I get the '500 internal server error' message.   • UDESEncrypt Errors when using the JAVA engine (NW IDM 7.0)

    Folks,
    I'm seeing an error when I use the uDESEncrypt function with the Java Engine in NW IDM SP2 Patch 3.
    The error I am getting is:
    runFunctionsInString($FUNCTION.encrPWD()$$) got exception
    org.mozilla.javascript.EvaluatorException: uDESEncrypt: Key should be exactly 24 bytes long.
    The code calling it is:

    Try to replace the '\' with '

    1) setting key empty and it will look into %DSE_HOME%\KEY\key.ini
      which should be C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Identity Center\Key\key.ini on default installation path.
    2) or setting the key to something like = 6D5A2AF59B1CDD7F9592484F178331C891537A3F9B91D362
       a 24 byte key...
    Also when using DES you should ensure that in Identity Center underneath Options/General
    you have encryption algorithm set to 3DES.
    Normally if you intend to use this for password provisioning in IC you would also
    on the identity store (for instance 'Enterprise people') underneath 'password policy' check
    of for 'enable password provisioning.'
    By doing so the MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD with be set when operating through
    workflow (3DES encryption version of the MX_PASSWORD) which allows you to obtain password
    when provisioning to other target systems...

    You can achieve that by exposing your client machine as a drive, then you can go using file adapter.
    FTP adapter will help you to communicate with different machine which is in different network.

    Can anyone please clarify the use of host name and DB name? I mean currently we are using Oracle 8.0.5 where clients are connecting to Database using the hostname for e.g "Dataserver"... but now we are planning to migrate our DB to 10.2.0.1 where in testing phase when we created database with same name i.e "Dataserver" oracle doesnt allow this as giving error that DB name cannot b same of host name... now i want to know is there any possibility in 10g that we can use host name for connecting to DB through clients?
    this question requires urgent attention as we need to migrate our database as early as possible.

  • In firefox I cannot use the search engine, like to order a product or search it seems to be in the upper half of screen

    Anyone who can help with below error while implicit remoting in exchange 2010, i have verified WinRM service, and currently using power-shell v2 both on client and server.
    Error Code:
    Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot process the request.
    The following error occured while using Kerberos authentication: A specified logon session does not exist. It may alre
    ady have been terminated.
    Possible causes are:
    -The user name or password specified are invalid.
    -Kerberos is used when no authentication method and no user name are specified.
    -Kerberos accepts domain user names, but not local user names.
    -The Service Principal Name (SPN) for the remote computer name and port does not exist.
    -The client and remote computers are in different domains and there is no trust between the two domains.
    After checking for the above issues, try the following:
    -Check the Event Viewer for events related to authentication.
    -Change the authentication method; add the destination computer to the WinRM TrustedHosts configuration setting or us

  • Using a template engine in a portlet, possible?

    Hi there,
    When developing servlets I've always used webmacro as a template engine,
    separating the code (java) from the layout (html). With Portlets it seems
    that people put their html within the java code.
    Are there any template engine solutions available for portlets, besides
    jsp ofcourse. I'm not really familiar with jsp, and also isn't jsp doing the
    same thing, putting java code within the html?
    I read it was possible to use webmacro without a servlet container, so
    perhaps this is the way to go using it with portlets. But are there also
    any integrated solutions.
    Does anybody have any experience separating their code and layout using a
    template engine? eg webmacro, velocity
    How do other developers do this, do you use jsp, or put your html directly
    into your code?

    Hi Ido,
    If you can do it in a servlet, then you should be able to do it in the portlet too. You need to specify the servlet for the showpage information in your provider.xml file.
    As long as all the HTMl is getting generated upfront (at the Servlet side) then you should not have any issues.

    The Issue got resolved successfully.
    The solution is
    we need to change the E$_,I$_,J$_,...... to E_,I_,J_,.... ((i.e; removing the '$' Symbol)) in the PHYSICAL SCHEMA of SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE as per the information given below.
    When running interfaces and using a XML or Complex File schema as the staging area, the "Unknown Token" error appears. This error is caused by the updated HSQL version (2.0). This new version of HSQL requires that table names containing a dollar sign ($) are surrounded by quotes. Temporary tables (Loading, Integration, and so forth) that are created by the Knowledge Modules do not meet this requirement on Complex Files and HSQL technologies.
    As a workaround, edit the Physical Schema definitions to remove the dollar sign ($) from all the Work Tables Prefixes. Existing scenarios must be regenerated with these new settings.
    It worked fine for me.

  • Use of SQL*Loader and Thin Client

    I have a java application that is currently using the thin client. For portability issues, I am unable to use an OCI driver. My application also uses SQL*Loader.
    My big issue is that The Thin client requires the HOST and SID for a connection.
    But, for SQL*Loader to work in a client/server environment it needs to use the SERVICE_NAME and net8. Is there any way to have SQL*Loader use similar information that the thin client is using?
    I know the right solution is to use the OCI drivers, but right now that is not feasible.

    I assume you are using an ObjectInputStream. Without seeing your code or a snippet I can't be certain...
    The JDBC spec says the following about ObjectInputStream :
    "An ObjectInputStream deserializes primitive data and objects previously written using an ObjectOutputStream"
    Since there was nothing written by ObjectOutputStream, ObjectInputStream has nothing to deserialize and this exception would be raised.

    Love Firefox but it's annoying that if I'm using a search engine (I use lots of subscription legal search databases), when I press the back button all the data I entered in the search boxes has disappeared. I'm sure Firefox didn't use to do that?

  • Can't download attachments using the MS CRM 2011 Outlook client

    Hello,
    I am trying to Open/Save Attachment (from Notes in Meeting Entity) in MS CRM 2011 for Outlook Client. Once I click on attachement nothing happen.
    Both CRM Server (On-Premise) and Outlook client are UR13. Its ADFS deployment.
    I've tried solution here:

    But didn't helped.
    From log files I can't get any answer:
    I can download file using direct link in web browser. Also there isn't problem when downloading from CRM web app.

    Attachements are stored directly in CRM DB (in Annotation table).
    I have also tried fiddler. And it looks response was OK (200). I think its problem with CRM for outlook client.
