Hello all, I've got an IMac G5. I've got I Work 06 on it. Single version, not the family version. If I buy a MacBook laptop, can I use the I Work 06 on it, assuming I also uninstall it from my Imac G5? Thanks, Adi.

Yes you can, you can even keep it on the other computer because it is licensed to you, and they are both your computers.

Using Time Machine, or any other such program, to transfer Adobe software from one machine to another works probably less than five percent of the time. Uninstall from your new machine. Run the cleaner tool (do a search for Cleaner Tool on this site if you don't know what it is). Then reinstall properly from original media or downloads.

I am sorry, but CS3 is not compatible with Windows 8.
Creative Suite 3 has been released Early 2007 and Windows 8 has been released Mid 2012.
When Windows 8 came out, we had just released our Creative Suite 6.
CS3 under Windows 8 may be installed, activated and used, that may happened for some customers, but we know due to the difference of the files system of these 2 products that it is unstable.
You could downgrade your operating system to Windows Vista or Windows 7 to have the CS3 working.
There is also an option to purchase a first-year discounted version of the new Adobe Creative Cloud membership due to your ownership of the CS3.

Using an ipod on a new computer

We recently bought a new computer. we have set up itunes, and got our music tranferred to the libraries, which are set up in exactly the same manner as on the old computer (playlists, etc,; 2 separate user accounts). Now we need to get the ipods to work on the new computer (one is a 2nd gen 4-button, the other is a 3rd gen click wheel). from what I can gather i need to install the original CD software, and maybe update it from the web site. Then will the ipods have to be reformatted? Any other steps? Advice?

You won't need to reformat your iPods, nor will you need or want to use the CD. All you need is iTunes, but if you ever do need to update or restore the iPods you just download the latest iPod updater from this site and install it.

I dont have Prokit 4.0.1 if you are referring to that, do I need this first? Please explain what application name I am looking for if other than Prokit which is sitting in my "download folder" do I need to manually put it into the apps folder? In some cases, the Creative Cloud app for desktop does not display all the applications available in Creative Cloud. The apps you can't install on your computer are removed from the download selection screen.

Firstly, if you still have access to older computer, sign out of CC activation on that computer by going to any product>help>sign out. This will deactivate your activation on the previous PC.
Then go to Creative Cloud Website and download the applications directly or download CC Desktop and downlad applications via that.
If you do not have access to older PC and you are getting a message like "Activation limit reached", the follow the steps mentioned in this document:

It wont fix your problem, but may tell help troubleshoot, why it is freezing iTunes, especially when the Pending and Realloc numbers are high.

Help to get my photo art edit software working in my new computer.i saved a backup before my old computer died. i have a new computer now, and is what i backed up, all i need to make my new computer have what i had in my old/dead computer?

help. am not a tech savvy person.
i do art with a win vista computer filledwith photoshop cs3 and tons uf unbelievable plugins that were given to me by a now deceased ps wizard.
that computer died. i now have a new computer, but it is of no value to me without the same art setup that i backed up into an ext hard drive.
i have wetechies @ 300 usd/year trying to remotely do that. day 2, so far no success.
i cannot afford to buy all that. i have cancer also, and with 6 months to live, friends have generously bout me a great computer for my art needs.
but i need more than a computer. and i need more than photoshop. i need the programs n things in my plugins .
does anyone know how to do that?
my wetechies from india are on day two, and ony have given me a 1.16 kb pd icon! then asked me if that was fine.
i said to them it is fine if it works! which it did not.

my cs3 extended and the plastic case bearing the serial #, bought for 900 usd, were stolen the night i was in the hospital having my mastectomy.
i had the ps3 inside the plastic case in my living room drawer. when i came home, there was a psc ( not extended ) in one of the 2 computer drawers.
i am not sure why. but in the second drawer was my chest xray from the hospital???? i suppose ,since i never looked at it myself, it may have had my personal info needed for the thief to pose as me. also, my purse, with passport,all forms of id and my keys, were stolen on another day . but i have bad credit, so good luck to them.

Whether your music purchases will be in the cloud will depend upon what country that you are in, and whether it is still in the store (record companies occasionally remove their music) - you can't add music to the cloud without subscribing to iTunes Match.

DW CS3 no longer working on a new computer

After migrating to a new macbook Air DW CS3 is not longer working
I had the "install Java SE" message
I installed Java SE 6
All the rest of the cs3 suite is working (allmost) fine
DW just shows an empty allert message
I' m using mac osX 10.9
The computer I migrated from used osX 10.9 as well
any suggestions ?

I asked because after I upgraded to Mavericks, NONE of my CS6 apps would open till I installed Java 6, but....
When I downloaded it from Oracle, it didn't help. I had to get the Apple Java update here: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572 before anything would work right.

Photoshop Elements doesnt work on my NEW computer.

Had PS Elements on my old computer, it died got a new one. Downloaded PS Elements on my new computer but now it wont work. What do I need to do to get it to work? Someone told me that Adobe wont let the same program software be downloaded onto more than one computer at a time, but since my last computer died to the point of not being able to take it off of that computer who can I talk to to reset things? Normally, you are allowed to install PSE on two machines - Normally a laptop and a desktop but it doesn't matter these days. Now if your one machine has dies or stolen then you need to chat with the Adobe Staff using the chat button on this link:
