Using java classes in forms

Hi All
Has anyone ever imported java class in forms and then run those forms successfully on web ??????
Plz help ... its urgent ..... i m successfully running the forms after importing java code in client/server mode but unable to run on web.
I have set the wrapper.classpath in jserv.properties file of apache but the form is unable to locate the java class.
where to set the classpath then ????

You have installer the JDK 1.2 (This software located in a Sun Microsystems Web Site), and you have a configure the your PATH:
PATH=%PATH%;< path your JDK installed >;
If you have Designer 6i installed in your machine, then your Enviromento Variable PATH = PATH=< path your JDK installed >;%PATH%;
After configure the PATH, you have a create another Enviroment Variable CLASSPATH with:
Example:
CLASSPATH=C:\oracle\designer\TOOLS\COMMON60\JAVA\IMPORTER.JAR;c:\jdk1.2.2;
Test your Forms 6i.

  • Can i Use java Class

    Can any help, can i use java class in
    froms 6 or any one have designed form
    of progress bar please help me

    Thanks for your reply...
    Actually the task is quite simple... It requires me to do a better interface for a tomcat server folders...
    For example, users are free to access
    http://apache.oss.eznetsols.org/jakarta/tomcat-5/v5.0.12-beta/
    to download the tomcat... However, its index may not nice and easy for browing.. Therefore, the task requires a new dynamic page to access this server folder, and get all file names under this folder, anlaysis whether it is file or directory..and finally get its path....
    It is quite easy to do a JSP page, but I don't know whether it is possible to do by using JavaScript .... Although JS is running in client side, the user/client also can access the tomcat folder, why not JavaScript?
    Thanks a lot!

  • How to run the imported java class in form

    Help!!!!!
    Pls help me to run the imported java class in forms.
    Package is created in forms while imported one class called

    Hi,
    It is because the converter works on byte code and it only supports a subset of the Java language (see the JC specifications). It is kind of like compiling you code on Java 6 and trying to run it on Java 5. The JCDK outlines the required compiler version.

    i have the classes located as the setup tutorial recommends (root/WEB-INF/classes/) and still nothing works. i would appreciate any help anyone can give.
    thanks,

    Which tutorial are you following?
    As of java1.4, all classes must be in packages for them to work in Tomcat. This means your beans and servlets too.
    Put your beans in a package, and then recompile them, and put them in the right place.
    eg
    package com.mypackage
    public class MyClass ...
    once compiled would go into WEB-INF/classes/com/mypackage/MyClass.class
    Are you using Product and ProductList classes in scriptlet code?
    Have you imported them with a page directive
    <%@ page import="com.mypackage.Product, com.mypackage.ProductList" %> ?

  • Image not displayed in pdf generated using Java API for Forms service

    Hi,
    I am creating a pdf document using Java API for Forms Service.
    I am able to generate the pdf but the images are not visible in the generated pdf.
    The image relative path is coming in the xml as defined below. The images are stored dynamically in the Livecycle repository each time a request is fired with unique name before the xml is generated.
    <imageURI xfa:contentType="image/png" href="../Images/logo.png"></imageURI>
    Not sure if I need to specify specify specific URI values that are required to render a form with image.

    please help me to find right way to do this.
    i am using netbeans ide.

    Very bad approach
    1) Think if your table contains more than one NAMEs then you will get only the last one with your code.
    2) Your String is declared as local variable in the method.
    3) You have not created any object of NewClass nor called the method in JSP page. Then who will call the method to run sql?
    4) Your NewClass contains main method which will not work in web application, it's not standalone desktop application so remove main.
    Better create an ArrayList and then call the method of NewClass and then store the data into ArrayList and return the ArrayList.
    It should look like
    {code:java}
    package ris;
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.DriverManager;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    public class  NewClass{
        public static ArrayList getNames(){
            Connection con = null;
            ResultSet rs=null;
            Statement smt=null;
            ArrayList nameList = new ArrayList();
            try{
                Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance();
                con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql:///net","root", "anthony111");
                smt=con.createStatement();
               rs= smt.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM emp");
               while(rs.next()){
                nameList.add(rs.getString("Name"));
               return nameList;
                }catch( Exception e){
                    String msg="Exception:"+e.getMessage();
                   </code><code class="jive-code jive-java"><font>return nameList;</code><code class="jive-code jive-java">
                }finally {
          try {
            if(con != null)
              con.close();
          } catch(SQLException e) {}
          </code><code>return nameList;</code>
    <code class="jive-code jive-java">    }

  • Cannot import Java classes to form

    I am using Forms Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production).
    I want to use the Persian Calendar from this web-site http://persiancalendar.sourceforge.net/.
    I download the stuff and there are 2 JAR files.
    I did this:
    -- Put the JAR files in my E:\Ora_Dev_10g_R2\forms\java directory
    -- Made an entry of these 2 in the E:\Ora_Dev_10g_R2\forms\server\formsweb.cfg file
    Now, when I open a form and got IMPORT JAVA CLASSES, I Can't see the classes.
    The directory structure of the 2 JAR files (after expanding is like this):
    persiancalendar.jar
    -> E:\Ora_Dev_10g_R2\forms\java\persiancalendar\com\ghasemkiani\util
    -> under util there is the sub-dir icu
    icu4j_3_2_calendar.jar
    -> E:\Ora_Dev_10g_R2\forms\java\icu4j_3_2_calendar\com\ibm\icu
    -> under icu there are these sub-directories impl, lang, math, text, util

    I agree with Abdetu, you should create your own thread for your question. However, to set an environment variable in UNIX you declare the variable and then export it. For example, in your default profile you could add the following:

    export FORMS_BUILDER_CLASSPATHCraig...

  • How to call Java class from Forms 6i?

    Hi friends,
    I need to call a Java class from my Forms 6i application.
    (It runs under WIndows XP. It's a client/server application and I have only the client and the Form builder installed on my PC)
    I don't know almost anything about Java's world so your help would be very useful for me.
    Could you tell me exactly what i have to do?
    I've read in metalink several Notes, but they supposed that the Java architecture is already installed in the computer.... I only have the default installation of Developer 6i... so I would need to know:
    - How to install/configure the neccesary to execute Java classes without problem
    - How to invoke the .class from Forms 6i.
    Thanks a lot
    Jose.

    And also this one:
    Problem Description
    Installed Forms 6i Rel 2 on a MS Windows machine. When trying to Import the Java
    Classes getting the errors
    PDE-UJI0001 Failed to create the JVM
    Solution Description
    You need to to install JDK 1.2.2 to run the Java Importer. And set the PATH's
    and classpath's correctly.
    Explanation
    1. Download and install the JDK 1.2.2.
    Possibly available at: http://java.sun.com/products/archive/
    2. Assuming the JDK 1.2.2 is installed in c:\jdk1.2.2 directory and the JRE in
    C:\PROGRA~1\JAVASOFT\JRE\1.2 directory; ORACLE_HOME=C:\Dev6iR2.
    Set the PATH to
    set PATH=c:\jdk1.2.2\bin;C:\PROGRA~1\JAVASOFT\JRE\1.2\bin;C:\PROGRA~1\JAVASOFT\JRE\1.2\bin\classic;%PATH%
    ( If you are using ias9i then the JDK 1.2.2 comes with the ias installtion ,
    in this case please set the PATH to
    D:\ias9i\Apache\jdk\bin;D:\ias9i\Apache\jdk\jre\bin;D:\ias9i\Apache\jdk\jre\bin\classic;%PATH% )
    3. Set the CLASSPATH to set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\Dev6iR2\TOOLS\COMMON60\JAVA\IMPORTER.JAR;.
    (If you do not set the CLASSPATH correctly you will get the error
    PDE-UJI002 Unable to find the required java importer classes)
    4. Now run the Forms Builder by using the command.
    C:\Dev6iR2\bin\ifbld60.exe
    Now the Java Importer Should Run fine.

  • How to call java classed in forms 10g

    Hi
    I am using forms 10g
    There is a java class email_class (to send emails and attachments). this java class (email_class) has further used two moere .jar files (activation.jar & mail.jar).
    Now I want to use this java class (email_class) in my form to send email and attachment.
    Could you please help me how can I do that?
    regards

    The jar file must be included in CLASSPATH which is set in the Forms default.env (or your own custom env if you created one). If you have not jar'd the class files, then the path to the class files should be included in CLASSPATH. Here is a simple example. Your CLASSPATH will contain many more entries.
    CLASSPATH=D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\formsapp\formsweb\WEB-INF\lib\frmsrv.jar;D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\jlib\share.jar;D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\jlib\utj.jar;D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\jlib\zrclient.jar;D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\forms\java\frmall.jar;D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\jlib\importer.jar;D:\oracle10g\iDS1012\forms\javaNotice that jar files are included in the path and the last entry is just a directory. In this case, if there are any class files which are not in a jar, they could be stored individually in the \java directory.
    Verify that you have at least the following included in your CLASSPATH:
    frmsrv.jar
    importer.jar
    share.jar
    utj.jar
    zrclient.jar
    Do not remove other entries which may exist as they are needed, but ensure that the list includes the above.
