Using Jsp upload Image

I m using jdbc 2.0 . The image is stored in the LongRaw data type . Now without getbinarystream i want to get that data and display as an image. There is a oracle.jdbc.* package which provides getRaw() method .But i am facing problems in it . Can any one help me ? Please help me it is very urgent.

You do the same thing in the JSP page as you do in the PHP page, just with Java instead of PHP. There's no difference. Set the content type, send image data. You can generate an image using the java.awt.image.BufferedImage class, drawing on it's Graphics object, and exporting a JPEG or PNG file with the javax.imageio.ImageIO class
There is 1 caveat for JSP pages, which is you can't have newlines in the page before you send image data, which means you can't do this:

I'm not an applet programmer so I can't give you much advice there.
If you want to stream the file from the server before it's entirely uploaded, then I don't believe you can treat it like a normal file. If you're just wanting to throw it up there and then listen to it, then you can treat it like a normal file.
But again, I'm not entirely certain. You might be able to stream the start of the file from the server while you're still uploading the end of it, but it probably depends on what method you're using to do the transfer.

Uploading images in access database using jsp

Hi, am using jsp with access database and want to upload as in a profile picture for any profile on the site[i mean depending on the user's convenience] ..
I just have a code which helps select the image from the client's machine n gets its address..but then how to use it in a form or something so that it can be submitted and inserted in the database?
Any idea? I d prefer not using servelet.. but if it just cannot be done without servelet then ok can suggest with that too.

Don't put business logic in JSP. That's what servlets are for (and EJB).

Here is the solution for uploading images and displaying images. I am using struts with JSP, so this code has a Action and ActionForm class. You can put the same code in Java Beans or Servlet class to run it. This code has two JSP files - one for Upload (upload.jsp)and other for Image(image.jsp) display. This code will enable to to upload and display the image. If you know Struts, then you can write the Struts-Config.xml file by yourself. Other wise write to me, I will send you that. If you want to save the image in database, then you have to keep it as BLOB datatype is database. For database you need to send the byte array in the uploadAction.java file to database. Database will keep the image as binary.

I would like to allow users to upload images(photos) from the website im doing.
i was gonna use perl which seems quite easy. Since everything else i used was jsp i thought i might try to do uploader in jsp (though its seems more difficult)
id like to limit :
the maximum file size to be uploaded ,
the maximum width/height of the image file
the list of the acceptable mime-types (Content-Types) -jpg, gif
Any suggestions how to go about it PLEASE- ie. what packages, classes do i need- mimeparser, BufferedImage, FileFilter? cos im bit lost which classes to use.

Problem when trying to rename uploaded images using session value

I have a form where 9 images are uploaded made into thumb nail size and then stored in a file. What I´m trying to do is rename those thumbnails from their original name to username_0, username_1, username_2 etc for each of the 9 thumbs. The username comes from the registration form on the same page. I have created a session variable for the username and am trying to use that to change to name of the image name, whilst my images are uploading and resizing the name stays as the original and not as the new username_$number.
