Using literal values into AD Trusted Reconciliation

Hello experts,
I'm working on a AD trusted reconciliation and, during the user creation, I cant reconcile from AD the mandatory values "Organization" and "User Type" (they don't exist into my AD).
I thought to create some literary values ("End-User"/"Xellerate User"), but I don't find any way to insert them as literal values: any ideas?
Thanks

You can set the values for those fields in your AD User Trusted Recon Scheduler.

  • Handling Multi-Valued attribute in trusted reconciliation

    Hi,
    We have a requirement where an attribute is multi-valued in LDAP(Sun One Directory Server) which is a trusted source for OIM. We wanted to use oracle Out-of-the-Box connector for Sun Java System Directory Server. We wanted to bring in this multi-valued attribute into OIM, concatenate everything and populate it to a OIM User form attribute. Hence though the value is multi-valued in trusted source, we process it and populate as a single valued attribute in OIM. Since we run trusted reconciliation we are unable to bring this multivalued attribute for the user into OIM.
    Can anybody suggest any other workaround available to achieve this functionality without touching connector source code?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Deepa

    I would highly suggest writing your own custom code.
    You'll need to create a UDF that is large enough to handle your concatenated value. A resource object marked as trusted object. A provisioning process defintion to map the value to the field.
    Then write a custom scheduled task that will connect to the LDAP directory, perform your search using the modifytimestamp attribute to get all the values. Concatenate them together in your code and create the reconciliation event.
    It will turn out to be smoother than dealing with an entity adapter that runs everytime an event occurs which might not be related to this item.

  • Changing Timestamp value of incremental trusted reconciliation

    Hi,
    I need to run the incremental trusted reconciliation from an earlier date. This means I need to rerun the trusted recon on some of the data on which the recon might have already ran.
    Could you please let me know how to acheive this. The problem which I am facing is that if I run the incremental trusted recon then it starts from the date when it was last ran, but I want it to start from an earlier data to which it was ran earlier.
    Thanks

    all the available trusted recon implement this feature. download any ootb connector (ex: EBSER -eBusiness employee reconciliation creconnector) and look at the code by De-compling jar.
    basically you have to use OIM API where you have to supply Scheduler Key and currentTimestamp at end of the task

  • Managing literal values in PL/SQL

    Running on Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning and OLAP options JServer Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    We need to manipulate some specific values at runtime, and decided on storing these in a table. Our PL/SQL code retrieves these values to use in various queries etc... such as limit a cursor to a certain number of rows, or change some constant in a package etc.
    I've looked into Steven Feuerstein's best practices site with regards to managing "magic values" in PL/SQL. We've implemented a solution as per his column: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=2853:4:271093498565934::NO::P4_QA_ID:16382
    Basically a table holder our "literal" value data, with a packaged function to retrieve a given value by its name from another PL/SQL package.
    Now to avoid multiple calls to literal value get functions, I create a private global variable in the package body, and retrieve the given literal value into it. I then re-use this global variable throughout the pacakge body.
    For instance:
    g_bulk_mailer_email            VARCHAR2 (255)
          := pkg_application_constant.varchar2_value ('BULK_MAILER_EMAIL_ADDRESS');The problem I'm facing is, when I change the literal value BULK_MAILER_EMAIL_ADDRESS, in the database table, it doesn't apply to my global variable g_bulk_mailer_email in my package body. I assume because the package is already initialized and pinned in the UGA?
    Is this a case for the SERIALLY_REUSABLE pragma, or bad implementation/design on my part?
    The one alternative I thought of is to simply not use the global variable, and simply make multiple local calls where needed in my package subprograms, so it always gets the latest values from the literal value table.
    p.s. Once we migrate to 11g, I plan on using the result function cache...
    Thanks for any tips/advice

I assume because the package is already initialized and pinned in the UGA?Highly likely so. One way can be to reinitilize the package variable. But this works only if you change the database value inside the same session. Other sessions would not be effected.
    There should be others ways to
    Flushing the shared pool would probably work, but should not be done because it harms the overall performance of your system more than it helps. THere could be a way to invalidate the package. But then the next access from each session would get an error (invalid package state) and the second access to it would reload all.
    The one alternative I thought of is to simply not use the global variable, and simply make multiple local calls where needed in my package subprograms, so it always gets the latest values from the literal value table.It is a tradeoff between performance and accuracy. But if the literal value table is pinned to the SGA, then oracle will take care of optimizing the access to it. This doesn't mean that you approach is badly designed. Just that there are different things to consider.

  • Inserting a Value into otherTable using an App. Proc. from a Date Picker

    I'm trying to call an Application Process that will insert an Attribute of a Row, into another table, after selecting a date from a Date Picker cell.
    I don't know why this shouldn't be possible. I think I've got all of my "Ducks in a Row", so to speak,
    but the Value that is being inserted into the other table is this:.. [object HTMLTableCellElement]
    (Ultimately, I'd like my Application Process to include Page element values with the insert as well, but I'm trying to handle one problem at a time)
    Here's a list of all the steps I've covered:
    1. I've Created an Application Process, (popDevices). The Process Point is "On-Demand". The Type is "PL/SQL Anonymous Block".
    The Process is defined as such:
    BEGIN
    Insert into P_DEVICES
    NAME,
    IP_ADDRESS,
    MODEL
    ) values
    'Unassigned',
    'Unassigned',
    :P153_MODEL
    COMMIT;
    END;
    2. I've Included the Javascript in the Page HTML Header.
    The Javascript is written as such: (minus the tags)
    function popDevices(PART_NO)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=popDevices',0);
    get.add('P153_MODEL',PART_NO);
    gReturn = get.get();
    get = null;
    3. I've included the following in the "Element Attributes" field of the Date-Picker Item (Date_Delivered).
    The Region Type is "SQL Query (Updatable Report)"
    onChange="javascript:popDevices(PART_NO);"
    THE RESULTS
    A. A row does get inserted into the other (P_Devices) table,
    But the value of the Attribute from the Page Region is not valid.
    The Inserted value is this: [object HTMLTableCellElement]
    B. I have tried Every conceivable combination of characters in the "Element Attributes" field, such as:
    ...(PART_NO), (#PART_NO#), (||PART_NO||), (+PART_NO+)
    C. The Javascript in the Page HTML Header appears to be correct, since I have written it this same way for other applications without any problems.
    D. If this simply cannot be done by referencing the "onChange" Javascript from the "Element Attributes" field,
    Then can you help me to write the code into the Select statement of the region.
    Thanks for any help you can give me.
    -Gary

    This may not be the most direct approach to the solution. But, none the less, it is a solution.
    For those other novices, like myself, I hope this can be useful at some point in your development:
    MY DESIRED RESULT:
    A. To Insert into another tablle values derived from both; Page Item (i.e. P153_x) and Attributes of a Row in an Updatable Report from which I have selected the Date-Picker.
    B. I want the insert to occur automatically after the user Selects the date from the Date-Picker.
    SOLUTIONS:
    1. I usea Javascript prompt window to prompt for information and store the information in Pre-Created Page Items.
    This is the Javascript as I've entered it into the Page HTML Header region: (Minus the Tags)
    function received_javaprompt () {
    var Serial_Number = prompt("Enter the Serial Number");
    var Bldg_Id = prompt("Enter the Bldg_Id");
    var Clst_Id = prompt("Enter the Clst_Id");
    $x('P153_SERIAL_NO').value = Serial_Number;
    $x('P153_BLDG_ID').value = Bldg_Id;
    $x('P153_CLST_ID').value = Clst_Id;
    2. I needed to identify the (Manufacturer and Part_No) Column Attribute in the Row from which I selected the Date-Picker.
    A. To do this, I enumerated the Columns in the order they were listed in the Select Statement of the region (Click on the Region Definition Tab).
    B. Then (Click on the Report Attributes Tab). Count, In the numerical order which these columns are selected, ONLY the columns that are Editable.
    C. When I counted down as far as the Column I wanted to capture the value of, Then I made a mental note of that number and used it in the following (2) Javascripts (findMaker and findModel).
    3. findMaker (Minus the tags)
    function findMaker (pThis) {
    var vRow = pThis.id.substr(pThis.id.indexOf('_')+1);
    var Maker = html_GetElement('f15_'+vRow).value
    $x('P153_MAKER').value = Maker;
    4. findModel (Minus the tags)
    function findModel (pThis) {
    var vRow = pThis.id.substr(pThis.id.indexOf('_')+1);
    var Model = html_GetElement('f16_'+vRow).value
    $x('P153_MODEL').value = Model;
    5. I added one more Javascript, to the Page HTML Header, that references the Application Process which will Insert the values into the "Other" table:
    function popDevices(P153_SERIAL_NO,P153_BLDG_ID,P153_CLST_ID,P153_MAKER,P153_MODEL)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=popDevices',0);
    get.add('P153_SERIAL_NO',P153_SERIAL_NO);
    get.add('P153_BLDG_ID',P153_BLDG_ID);
    get.add('P153_CLST_ID',P153_CLST_ID);
    get.add('P153_MAKER',P153_MAKER);
    get.add('P153_MODEL',P153_MODEL);
    gReturn = get.get();
    get = null;
    6. I added the "onChange" process to the Element Attributes field of the Table item which utilizes the Date-Picker:
    A. Click on the Report Attributes Tab of the Region.
    B. Click on the Edit icon of the column which utilized the Date-Picker
    C. I added this "onChange" reference to the Element Attributes field, which is found in the Tabular Form section.
    onChange="javascript:received_javaprompt();findModel(this);findMaker(this);popDevices((P153_SERIAL_NO).value,(P153_BLDG_ID).value,(P153_CLST_ID).value,(P153_MAKER).value,(P153_MODEL).value);"
    7. The Application Process which inserts the collected data into the table is as follows:
    (Name= popDevices: Process Point= On-Demand: Type= PL/SQL Anonymous Block)
    BEGIN
    Insert into P_DEVICES
    BLDG_ID,
    CLST_ID,
    NAME,
    IP_ADDRESS,
    SERIAL_NO,
    MAKER,
    MODEL
    ) values
    :P153_BLDG_ID,
    :P153_CLST_ID,
    'Unassigned',
    'Unassigned',
    :P153_SERIAL_NO,
    :P153_MAKER,
    :P153_MODEL
    COMMIT;
    END;
    Well, I hope this may help someone else like me.
    I usually arrive at my solutions by getting help here on the Discussion Forum and also Google. Google inevitably points me to a previous Apex Discussion Forum session.

  • How CallableStatement in JSP use setDate() method to insert the date value into DB?

    Dear all,
    I met a strange error message when i insert a date value into DB via JSP call PL/SQL procedures.
    The error seems caused by the setDate(index, date) method with CallableStatement.
    The message is: Can not find the setDate(int, java.util.Date) method in the CallableStatement interfaces.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks advanced.

    Thank you!:)
    I solved it using this:
    String name="david";
                stmt = con1.createStatement();
                String prikaz1 = "INSERT INTO table (id,age,surname,name) IN 'C:\\Users\\David\\Desktop\\db.mdb' SELECT id,age,surname,' " + name + " ' FROM table2";
                stmt.executeUpdate(prikaz1);

  • Is there possibility to add dimension value into hierarchy using dml or spl

    1 Is there possibility to add dimension value into hierarchy using dml or spl?
    If such possibility exists how to do that.
    2 Is it possible to sort dimension values inside one branch of the hierarchy?

    What version of OLAP are you using and how did you create your AW (e.g., AWM)?
    Assuming that you're used either AWM or the Java API for AWs in 10g, there isn't an OLAP DML for adding a dimension member to a dimension (and have all the meta data kept in sync); you must load dimension members using AWM the Java API for AWs.
    So, make your changes in the the dimension table and process that table.
    For sorting, you can add a sort attribute to the dimension. Add the sort attribute to the model, indicate that it's used for sorting, add the sort attribute to your dimension table and maintain the dimension.

  • SQL Server 2012 Management Studio: Creating a Database and a dbo Table. Inserting VALUES into the table. How to insert 8 Values for future use in XQuery?

    Hi all,
    In my SQL Server 2012 Management Studio (SSMS2012), I tried to create a Database (MacLochainnsDB) and a dbo Table (marvel). then I wanted insert 8 VALUES into the Table by using the following code:
    USE master

    FROM sys.databases
    WHERE name = 'MacLochlainnsDB')
    DROP DATABASE MacLochlainnsDB
    GO

    ('Hulk', 1),
    ('Iron Man', 2),
    ('Black Widow', 3),
    ('Thor', 4),
    ('Captain America', 5),
    ('Hawkeye', 6),
    ('Winter Soldier', 7),
    ('Iron Patriot', 8)
    I got the following error Message:
    Msg 110, Level 15, State 1, Line 5
    There are fewer columns in the INSERT statement than values specified in the VALUES clause. The number of values in the VALUES clause must match the number of columns specified in the INSERT statement.
    How can I correct this problem?
    Please kindly help and advise.
    Thanks in advance,
    Scott Chang
    P. S.
    The reason I tried to create the Database, dbo Table, and then to insert the VALUES is to learn the following thing:
    You can query the entire node tree with the following xquery statement because it looks for the occurrence of any node with the /* search string:
    DECLARE @x xml;
    SET @x = N'<marvel>
    <avenger_name>Captain America</avenger_name>
    </marvel>';
    SELECT @x.query('/*');
    You can query the avenger_name elements from the marvel_xml table with the following syntax:
    SELECT xml_table.query('/marvel/avenger_name')
    FROM marvel_xml;
    It returns the following set of avenger_name elements:
    <avenger_name>Hulk</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Iron Man</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Black Widow</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Thor</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Captain America</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Hawkeye</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Winter Soldier</avenger_name>
    <avenger_name>Iron Patriot</avenger_name>
    You can query the fourth avenger_name element from the marvel_xml table with the following xquery statement:
    SELECT xml_table.query('/marvel[4]/avenger_name')
    FROM marvel_xml;
    It returns the following avenger_name element:
    <avenger_name>Thor</avenger_name>

    Hi Scott,
    The master database records all the system-level information for a SQL Server system, so best practise would be not to create any user-defined
    object within it.
    To change your default database(master by default) of your login to another, follow the next steps so that next time when connected you don't have to use "USE dbname" to switch database.
    Open SQL Server Management Studio
    --> Go to Object explorer(the left panel by default layout)
    --> Extend "Security"
    --> Extend "Logins"
    --> Right click on your login, click "propertites"
    --> Choose the "Default database" at the bottom of the pop-up window.
    --or simply by T-SQL
    Exec sp_defaultdb @loginame='yourLogin', @defdb='youDB'
    Regarding your question, you can reference the below.
    SELECT * FROM master.sys.all_objects where name ='Marvel'
    --OR
    SELECT OBJECT_ID('master.dbo.Marvel') --if non empty result returns, the object exists
    --usually the OBJECT_ID is used if a if statement as below
    IF OBJECT_ID('master.dbo.Marvel') IS NOT NULL
    PRINT ('TABLE EXISTS') --Or some other logic
    What is the sys.all_objects? See
    here.
    If you have any question, feel free to let me know.

  • How can I programatically use the forced values to put a value into numeric data member?

    I am extremely new at using Lookout and need a way to programmatically force a value into a numeric data member so that I can later use that value as a flag when creating a report.

    Hi,
    You can do this with an Expression similar to the following:
    Object.datamember = if(Pb1, Pot1, Object.datamember)
    Where Object.datamember is the datamember of the Object you want to write to.
    Pb1, is a PushButton -- it can be any logical condition.
    Pot1, is a Pot -- it can be any other source for your numeric data.
    The IF statement basically says, "if Pushbutton Pb1 is pressed, write the current value of Pot1 to the Object's datamember. And if it's not pressed, leave its value as-is."
    Hope this helps.

  • A large program with MANY .vi's loads an onboard program to a 7344 board, later in anothor .vi I load a value into var = 1. and then run Onboard program. Program runs but value of var =1 is not used.

    Onboard program calls the "Load constant to variable.vi" in first block. Same call is made in labview code just before the run program block. the variable in the onboard program ALWAYS defalts to (0). WHY???

    Hello,
    Thank you for contacting National Instruments.
    My guess is that the variable is being overwritten by the first call (Load Constant to Variable VI) of the onboard program. The order of operations for the second VI appears to be the following:
    1) Load Constant to Variable (variable 1 = 10000)
    2) Run the onboard program
    3) Onboard program calls Load Constant to Variable (variable 1 = 0)
    Any value that the first step of the onboard program loads (step 3 above) will overwrite the value loaded just before the onboard program runs (step 1 above).
    I have attached an image of the block diagrams for both VIs I used for testing. The first VI loads an initial value into variable 1, starts program storage, loads position, loads veloci
    ty from variable 1, loads acceleration and deceleration, starts motion, then ends storage. The second program simply loads a new value into the variable then runs the stored program. As the variable value in the second program is modified, the velocity changes appropriately. I tested this with a PCI-7344 in LabVIEW 7.1 with NI-Motion 6.1.3.
    Hopefully this will help you track down the source of the problem.

  • How can I use the value returned for a function into the macro ??

    I create a function to work in a macro and I would like to use the value of parameter f_calc_error returned by function in a condition like IF, but I don't know how can I do that. I have to use the macro function CALC_ERROR ??
      Thanks.
    Edson Suzuki

    Hi Edson,
    Yes you need to use the CALC_ERROR macro function to be able to test whether the last macro function returned an error. CALC_ERROR will return an 'X' if there an error occured during the execution of the last macro function.
    You can use a macro similar to the following:
    IF
      CALC_ERROR( )
      = 'X'
          DO SOMETHING HERE
    ENDIF
    Let me explain how this works internally. The SAP system maintains a global variable g_flg_calc_error during the execution of macros in the planning book. The g_flg_calc_error variable will contain the value of f_calc_error that was set by the last macro function which executed. The ABAP coding of a planning book is something like this:
    data: g_flg_calc_error type /SAPAPO/FLAG.
    * SAP will pass g_flg_calc_error variable to all macro
    * functions. When SAP calls a macro function, it does
    * something like this.
    call function '/SAPAPO/MACRO_FUNCTION_HERE'
            exporting
              plob_values      = i_s_adv_plob_values
              sdp_book         = g_c_advf_sdp_book
              sdp_view         = g_c_advf_sdp_view
            tables
              cols_index       = i_t_cols
              value_tab        = l_t_value_tab
            changing
              f_calc_error     = g_flg_calc_error
    As you can see, the g_flg_calc_error variable
    is passed in the "changing" part of the call. The macro  function being called can then use the f_calc_error
    variable to change the value of the global
    g_flg_calc_error variable. In fact, the macro function being called can also check (by looking at the f_calc_error variable) if the last macro function reported an error.  The CALC_ERROR macro function just checks the value of f_calc_error parameter (w/c in fact is the value of the g_flg_calc_error variable) and returns "true/X" if the f_calc_error was set to true by the last macro function.
    Hope this helps in clearing things out

  • OIM 11g DBAT connector - trusted reconciliation for user roles

    Hi,
    We have a database table containing a bunch of user records, and a table with a foreign key that contains all the associations user-group. We would like to do trusted reconciliation from those two tables into OIM. I already did that for target reconciliation but now I am having a look at the DBAT connector docs, and I have found this:
    "Child Table/View Names
    If you want to use the connector for trusted source reconciliation, then do not enter a
    value. If you want to use the connector for target resource reconciliation and if user data is
    spread across parent and child tables, then enter a comma-separated list of child table
    names."
    Does this mean that role membership trusted reconciliation is not supported by the DBAT connector?
    thanks in advance

    DBAT connector does not support trusted source with child data.
    But that does not mean you cannot configure user table as trusted source.
    What is it that you want to do with child table ?
