Using the same subreport twice

I'm trying to use the same subreport twice in the same
report, passing it different parameters that modify its query, but
I keep getting a data binding error. I'm pretty sure what's causing
it is the fact that I'm using the same subreport twice because if I
save a copy of the same subreport with a different name and include
it instead of repeating the same subreport things work fine. Any
good reason why using the same subreport twice shouldn't work, or
any solution t o this problem?

Most certainly - you add the second audio track to the second audio stream for the track (A2). You can then set your menu buttons to play the track with either version of the audio. This is generally how things are done when there is a directors commentary, or where there are different types of audio (say, Dolby 5.1 and a standard stereo track for the same footage) that the viewer can choose between.

i'm having a problem whereby several SSI's are not showing on my page.
I'm wondering if it's because the instances that are not showing are the ones called the second time round.
Before i start posting code etc, i just wondered if it was actually not possible to call the same SSi more than one time on a page.
I can't seem to find documentation stating this anywhere.

Edit 2: I guess i didn't test properly initially. It seems it is NOT possible to use the same SSI twice on a page... What a bummer!!!

t's certainly possible depending on the PHP command which you use as the include directive.

Can I use the same scrollpane twice in my project?

I am creating a project that has 3 scenes. 1 scene has a movieclip. Inside the movieclip, I have a scrollpane that generates dynamic text called welcome_scroll. The file runs fine when I test it displaying the scrollpane window and loading the text. However, I need to use the same scrollpane with the same dynamic text in Scene 2 titled Home in the main timeline. So I copied and pasted the scrollpane into scene 2's main timeline. When I test it, Scene 1 runs fine, but Scene 2 only displays the scrollpane with no text. Plus I get an error message:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

I tried once test. I decided to delete the scrollpane in Scene 1's movieclip thinking that using the scrollpane twice was the problem. But that did not work. Scene 2 stills gives me an error message with just scrollpane and no text.
I was also thinking of duplicating the scrollpane in the library with a different name but not sure if that is efficient or the solution. If that is the case, would I have to duplicate the the dynamic text movieclip in addition changing the actionscript to reflect the changes?
It's just a headache for me thinking Flash would be efficient in allowing you to reuse the scrollpane with the same dynamic elsewhere in my project.

Below is the only code that I had to create which is basically variables for the textfield's point size and fonts to use that I embedded into the library for runtime. The way I was able to get the scrollpane to load the movieclip is by first creating a movieclip, drawing a textfield, naming the textfield instance called welcomeField, creating the actionscript in frame 1 of the movieclip (which you will see below), then setting up the properties of the movieclip by checking Export for Actionscript and Export in frame 1. The class and base class automatically created the names. I copied the class name and entered that into the source field of the component inspector of the scrollpane. That was it.

Using the same script twice but different options on a single page

having a hard time figuring out how to run the cycle script which is in use on one portion of my webpage as a slider gallery under my header, but i'd also like to use it in a small are in the upper right of the same page but with a different transition, to showcase specific products in a gallery.

I recommend using Cycle2 instead of the old Cycle Plugin. Out of the box, Cycle2 is better and has more features. Just copy & paste the following code into a new document.

How to use the same port twice in composite application

I have deployed a Dot Net web service which has 2 operation (say provider1 and provider2) both will accepts and return a string. This Dot Net web service has one port and 2 partner links (one for each operation). I created a client wsdl which also has 2 operations(say client1 and client2). Client wsdl contains one port and a partner link.
I also created 2 different BPEL processes for client1-provider1 and client2-provider2 operations, i want to create a composite application with both this bpel. If I deploy my composite application I can able to see only one connection from client1-provider1. How to add soap binding manully so that I can test both the processes. I am new to web service, need step by step procedure.

Subreport using the same Stored Procedure

I have a main report and a subreport that uses the same stored procedure. The stored procedure has 12 parameters and what I want to avoid is the user having to enter the same parameter values twice. When I created the subreport I put in the parameters + one field, the employee id field so that I could just test it on one employee.
After I entered the subreport into the main report, when I got to refresh the data, it's asking for params for BOTH reports. Is there any way to get around this? Because of the way the stored procedure returns the data, I had to create a subreport instead of just fitting it into one of the footers. I've looked at the subreport link and added the employee id as the key. When I ran it the first time, it returned the wrong date range on the sub.

Right click on the sub report and choose change sub report links
Top left pane contains your main report parameters use > to add
In the bottom left corner of that dialog then scroll down until you see the corresponding sub report parameter
Repeat for each parameter
This should then take the main report params and pass into the sub report

Actually no. After installing an app on one device, I used to see an "install" button on the second device (since it's already been paid for). Now i get the full price button on the second device. I didn't want to proceed with the purchase because i didn't want to be billed twice.

Two commands in the report using the same parameter - fail under Java

I have a report that contains 2 SQL commands.
Both of these commands use one parameter X of type Number in their 'WHERE' clause.
When i'm viewing the report in CR 2008, i'm asked for a value of this parameter and all data is filled in the report - OK
The problem occurs when the same report is printed through Crystal Java Runtime:
Report is printed without data! - it's empty.
What we noticed in the debug information thrown by the Crystal libraries is that parameter value is set only in one of these commands:
Original statement 1:
select a.something

where a.anmid = {?PARAMETER01Id}
Original statement 2:
SELECT * from ANM_T a
WHERE a.anmid={?PARAMETER01Id}
OUTCOME of Statement 1:

from ANM_T a

WHERE a.anmid=9825
In above example we may see that crystal set the value only in the second statement - first one got 0 - i suspect its some default value.
Parameter in the Java code is set in the right way. In case of using only one statement it works. If we use two separate parameters (whose values are equal ) it also works.

What is strange for me is that Crystal Reports enables to use the same parameter in two commands but if you edit one of them you may change the type of this parameter for a command ( for example from Number to String) but the parameter type in the second command remains unchanged ( it's strange because in my opinion it is the same parameter). In the Field Explorer under the Parameter Fields i still see one parameter of type used in the second command.

In both cases, the observed problem occurred. In one query the parameter was set properly, while on the other it was set to 0 (or empty string in case of string parameters). What is more, no data appeared on the print.
Do you happen to know the reason of this issue?How can we fix the problem?

When the first ipad came out i set it up and created an itunes account, since then she got an iphone and an ipad and everything was good. I had an android but wanted to try out the iphone. When i set it up ut jumpled all of our contacts, apps, and everythin. it was a mess.
Since, i purchased and ipad 2 and an iphone and to keep our stuff from combing i used a different computer and created an new apple ID for myself so our info wouldnt combine, I was wondering if i did the right thing or if i should have went about it a different way. I was going to see if there was a way when she purchased a song i could get it. I dont want to pay for the same song twice and only want to share songs. If i cant do this can i copy her library and paste it into my itunes??
Any help wouldl be greatly apprecieated we both have icloud set up but i cant figure out the best solution.

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.

Unlinking two iPhones that are currently using the same Apple ID

My parents accidentally used the same Apple ID for both of their iPhones. How can I unlink their accounts and create two different, unique Apple IDs for each of their iPhones? And without losing what is currently saved to the iCloud (some of the info saved is for business). I appreciate any help. When I create a new ID for one device it messes up the other one. Thanks!

Apple IDs are used in several different ways on an iPhone. You can have different Apple IDs for different functions. For example, if you use the same iCloud ID for both phones they will both be trackable by logging in to icloud using that ID, and they will both be protected by Activation Lock with the same ID. They will also both get the same email and back up to the same iCloud account. Or these can be different. Your choice.
The iTunes & App stores can have the same or a different Apple ID. If they have the same then you don't have to pay for apps twice; once an app is purchased it can be used by all devices on that account (there are licensing restrictions that limit sharing to a single family all at the same address).
Facetime and iMessage can have yet a third Apple ID. This is really a good idea, as it keeps everyone's messages private.

Can I use the same taskflow in the same page ?

I have an ADF library which I want to input into a single page (jspx).
In the single page, i drag a taskflow-A twice into showdetailitem1 and showdetailitem2. I used required parameter so I able to define each taskflow.
Everything looks good for the first time, and no error so far, but some component like carousel and af:foreach only works for the one of these regions.
My question is,
- can I use the same taskflow in the same page (2 regions) ?
- if yes, did I have to configure something to achieve this ?

Yes, provided your backup drive is big enough. For a Time Machine backup your backup drive should be at least twice the capacity of the drive it backs up. In the case of two drives sum the capacities of the two drives. Be sure you backup drive is at least twice that capacity.
You cannot partition a Time Capsule drive.
