Using word/excel from java (client or weblogic server)
Hi everybody,
i want to use excel / word functionality from java in two different variants:
-> serverside
-> clientside
I tried the weblogic.comc and i got serveral classes but in the remote-package i got only a utitlity-class.
My knowlege about COM is rather bad.
Does anybody did this bevor and
-> can say me, if it is correct, that i only got a utility-class (so how will i use it from the client ?!)
-> has a example for using Excel / Word from Java in bea weblogic
-> has a example for using Excel / Word directly in a client (not via rmi)
Thanks
Ciao
Sven

what your trying to do and I wil surely give you a better alternative

IBM's alphaworks site has JavaBeans that can access Excel.
see:
http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/ab.nsf/techmain/46E6FBA1F9DEC292852568EE0068C2
0C?OpenDocument
I haven't tried these. But the alpahworks site says:
1. these beans are stable
2. freely redistributable for use in commercial and non-commercial
products (but: I am not a lawyer)
3. source is available

Invoking a web service from dynamic client in weblogic 7
Is it possible to invoke a webservice from dynamic client in weblogic 7. Because i tried and it doesn't work. But it works with WL 8.1
I don't see any samples on the net for weblogic 7.Hello rss,
If you want to invoke a web service from a JCD you will have to build the SOAP message using JAX-RPC or AXIS and then programmatically creat an HTTP connection.
Or you can leverage the HTTP(S) eWay and then you only have to build the SOAP message.
Or use eInsight. You can import a WSDL into eInsight and eInsight will offer you a business process Activity to invoke the web service operations defined in the WSDL. -
I'm generating report in Excel from Java.In this is it posssible to place background color upto the text in the single cell
If you are using POI, you can set the background colour for a single cell.

Trouble to invoke BPEL from Java Client following rmi example
I still have troubles to invoke my BPEL process from Java Client by following tutorial sample of 102.InvokingProcesses/rmi .
I created my Java class within NetBeans IDE. And the following line of code return null for url,
java.net.URL url = ClassLoader.getSystemResource("context.properties");
I think that I need to have SystemResource set up somewhere, how should I do that?if you using oc4j.. then please make a small change in oc4j_context.properties
from
java.naming.provider.url=[java.naming.provider.url]
to
java.naming.provider.url=ormi://hostname/orabpel
And please make sure the context.properties file which gets copied to classes/context.properties has this above entry. For more details please refer to build.xml under rmi folder.
Please do let me know if you face any issue. -
Why can't I use word, excel etc after upgrading OS X lion ?
Why can´t I use word,excel etc after upgrading too OS X Lion ?
Office 2004 is a PowerPC app that requires Rosetta to run. Roseeta and thus all PPC aps are not supported on Lion. Further Office 2008's Installer is a PPC app. Office 2008 will run if installed before installing Lion, but you cannot install it from Original Office 2008 Media after installing Lion.

how we upload word file from java web page?? pls is urgent.
> i not understand. pls explain?
Ok. Take a look at the Fundamentals-forum where your post is in. If you look at the 30 most recent threads there are more tthen 10 thread about uploading files. A couple of those have some usefull answers which you probably can use.
It's always a good habit to search a forum first before you post your question.
Good luck. -
How to use Enterprise Seriver with java Client
Hello.
I'd like to access Enterprise Services that are provided by Test Drive from Java Client.
Access the Enterprise Services Workplace Systems [original link is broken]
I've known how to find services and how to test a service.
I've got .wsdl file.
But I have no idea that I should do next.
Let me know how to create proxy from Enterprise Service's wsdl files.
Thanks,
Koji.Hi Koji,
You can test your webservices using the software XMLSpy. which you can download from here and its free.

ESB Webservice call from Java client
Hi,
i need to call webservice from Java client which inturn will call ESB
I tried creating proxy from the WSDL in jDeveloper and tried setting the following end points
My concrete WSDL path :http://10.237.25.63:8889/esb/wsil/SubroCaseESBSystem/InputRouter?wsdl
My EM -path:"http://10.237.25.63:8889/event/subrotest/SubroInputrouter"
When i call the concreteWSDL im getting
"HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 405 Method Not Allowed"
If i call the EM pathim getting
"javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException"
Any guess as how i need to call my ESB from client.Hello Venkat,
- I have created Java Proxy using Jdeveloper for ESB webservice and I usually use http://host:port/event/...?wsdl, and it creates stub which works without any modification. Let me know, may be I can try sending sample project
- I would like to verify if you are having issue with Java client or ESB itself, are you able to execute that ESB process/service from EM test page or from any other BPEL process?

Why is the word count different when I use word count from the tools menu to the number at the bottom of my mac word document
This forum is for Apple's defunct office suite 'AppleWorks' - since the word count is not in the places you mention I assume you are talking about Microsoft Word? Though it's just possible someone in this forum might also use Word and know the answer, you would stand a higher chance of getting an answer in Microsoft's own forums. You could also try asking in the forum applicable to your operating system - Lion, Mavericks or whatever - on the reasonably chance of finding someone familiar with Word.

Hi all!, someone knows about an API that let me use a scanner from Java?
without programing JNI code.
thks in advance!.The Java Twain package from http://www.gnome.sk does exactly what you need. You do not have to bother about jni, you can get an image from the scanner directly from your java application.
