Using Xellerate User as trusted Resource Object -  11G Release 2

Hi all,
I want you use Xellerate User as trusted Resource Object for trusted reconciliation. From design console I try to add my custom attributes to this RO, but when I try to save I get error that it is not permmited.Is this a kinda bug or in Release 2 something has changed and I must define new trusted RO? Any help is strongly appreciated..
BR,
Aliye

There is a checkbox "Trusted Source" on the Resource profile. You can select this check box if you want to use the resource object for trusted user reconciliation. By default, this check box is not selected. It is selected by default only for the Xellerate User resource object. Since Xellerate User resource object is OOTB and very critical, it is recommended to use a different dedicated resource for simply used as Trusted Resource Object....
Details can be found in *11.9.4 Resource Objects Form*

    Note that this forum is for XE Beta, not EE.
    Can you connect from some other client tool, such as sqlplus?
    There's a {forum:id=178} forum that may be more suitable, if basic connectivity outside php works (i.e. issue is only php specific).

    Find the hostname and service name of the database and use those values in the ORA_CON_DB constant.
    Use 'lsnrctl status' on the database host to find the service name.
    If you use a "tns" alias, you may need to create a tnsnames.ora file where PHP can access it.
    Set the environment variable TNS_ADMIN (on Linux) to the directory containing the file.
    See the section "Oracle Database Name Connection Identifiers" p 102 of the free book

  • Get IT Resource instance by given IT Resource name - 11g Release 2

    Hi all,
    We are developping custom scheduler for trusted reconciliation. The name of the IT Resource defined from oim sysadmin console is passed as scheduler paramater. How I can get the parameters of the IT Resource using OIM API ? (it resource type is db)
    public void execute(HashMap hashMap) {
    String itResourceName = hashMap.get("IT Resource");
    //Want to get the db connection parameters which were defined with IT Resource definiton from the oim sysadmin console
    Thanks in advance,
    BR
    Aliye

    find the below code
    tcITResourceInstanceOperationsIntf itResource = Platform.getService(tcITResourceInstanceOperationsIntf .class)
    Find the It Resource Instance Key
    String itResourceName = "ADITResource"
    Map filter= new HashMap();
    filter.put("IT Resources.Name","IT Resource Name");
    tcResultSet trs=itResource.findItResourceInstances(filter);
    int rowCount=trs.getRowCount();
    long itResourceKey=-1
    if(rowCount >0)
    trs.goToRow(0);
    itResourceKey = trs.getLongValue("IT Resource.Key");
    Getting IT Resource Attributes
    Map attributes= new HashMap();
    If(itResourceKey >0)
    tcResultSet itrParams=itResource.getITResourceInstanceParameters(itResourceInstanceKey);
    int paramCount= itrParams.getRowCount();
    for(int i=0;i<paramCount;i++)
    itrParams.goToRow(i);
    attributes.put itrParams.getStringValue("IT Resources Type Parameter.Name"),itrParams.getLongValue("IT Resource.Parameter.Key"));
    }

  • Error while provisioning resource object to any user

    I get below error while trying to provision or reconcile any user to AD resource object. This was working fine till yesterday and suddenly started behaving otherwise.
    This error occurs while provisioning to the user i.e., as we de-selected auto save option on the process definition, it does not show up the process form while manually provisioning the resource instead show DOBJ.UPDATE_FAILED error on the web console.
    I tried provisioning the resource by removing all the pre-populate adapters from the process form with no luck
    This is on OIM 9.1.0.2 BP12
    Has anyone faced similar issue before or any pointers to resolve this ??

  • Instead of creating new resource, recon is updating the same resource object for a user

    Hi,
    I created a DB target recon in OIM 11g. I ran recon and it created resource object. Resource is visible in Accounts tab.Now, I added one more entry with different description in DB. I ran the recon again. This time, instead of creating new resource object, recon linked it the same user with same resource object.
    My requirement is to create as many resource object as there are entries in DB table. The recon should not link all DB entries with same resource object in IDM. For every entry in DB, recon should create that many resource objects in accounts tab of user.
    Please let me know how to achieve the same.

    Kalpana.

    Hint is : Verify Reconciliation Key field mapping in Process definition

  • Copy values between Xellerate User and Resource user

    Hi all,
    For any user (xellerate) updates, i'm trying to copy these values to the resource user. Now copying string values is simple enough, however I run into problems when I try to copy:
    - boolean

    What is the best way of achieving a straight copy from the Xellerate user to the resource user?

  • Deleting a Resource Object

    Hello,
    I'd like to know if there is a way to delete a Resource Object.
    I am using the AD as a trusted recon source but i'm not doing any provisioning to the AD.
    In order to prevent users and managers from selecting the AD as a RO for provisioning, I wanted to delete the AD from OIM.
    Is there a way to do this? I know deleting a process form is impossible.. but if someone knows of a way to delete a Resource Object it'll be very helpful.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    It is not good idea to delete the resource object.If you want to hide it from manager and user configure the resource object property.You need to uncheck "Allow All" property.

  • How to inner join attribuet from user with system resource on sccm 2012 query

    Hi , I am using SCCM 2012. Trying to create a WQL query to get list of computers with department name and netbios names,etc. these are in USER  and SYSTEM RESOURCE  object type seperately. The query wizard doesn't allow me to choose sytem
    resource and USER attribute at same time. In JOIN, the inner join also doesn't have SYSTEM RESOURCE attribute class for me to join it with USER attribute class. Any way to resolve this issue so that I can get a query as mentioned?
    I tried the wql below and pasted to my test query, it gave an error. I guess it's because that wql is on sccm2007.
    Please advise,thanks!

    Hi,
    Try the suggestion by Garth Jones or post a new thread at

  • Multiple resource objects provision issue in OIM10g

    Hi Team,
    We're facing an issue regarding multiple access policy trigger for a specific resource object in OIM.
    The scenario is whenever we try to process the enablement or creation of users through flat file recon, users are created / enabled with multiple resource objects in their resource profiles.
    When we checked in User Resource Access History report, we observe that the access policy has been triggering multiple times for these users resulting in users with multiple resource objects. Amongst these one shows provisioned/Enabled and the other shows provisioning/in some cases Provisioned/Enabled.
    Please advise as this has become an ongoing issue and also has led into data mess-up.
    Appreciate your help on this one..
    Regards,
    Sagar

    The terminology sounds a little confusing to me:
    If you mean you wanna create multiple IT Resources for a single IT Resource Instance so that the user can select the appropriate IT Resource during request creation -> All good upto here. But then since the Object/Request Form attached to a resource would be the same, so any user would always see the same form fields for creationg request.
    Example: Users creating request for Oracle Database Accounts but different server locations
    If it means you just need to create multiple Resource Objects then its a straighaway standard requirement and could be handled with normal Connector Development methodology.
    Example: Users creating requests for different resources like Oracle Database Accounts & Active Directory Accounts

  • Populate object form with already provsioned resource object's data

    OIM Version:
    9102 BP19
    Scenario:
    We have to pre-populate resource object (ModifyObject) form fields with already provisioned resource object (ProvisionedObject) form fields which can be multi-instance resource.
    This provided data will be used modify the already Provisioned resource object data (same ProvisionedObject). And this needs to be handled with approval workflow.
    Approach:
    We will use selected ProvisionedObject’s process instance key on web page in resource object pre-populate adapters. And using that process instance key we will fetch already provisioned resource (ProvisionedObject) object’s data.
    Issue:
    Not sure how can we pass the process instance key from WEB_PAGE to OIM_RESOURCE_OBJECT’s pre-populate adapter.
    Any pointers towards the solution will be appreciated.

    My suggestion is...
    At the time of raising the request, use userKey and in the code use getObjects() to retrieve the provisioned resource object information. Here you can retrieve Process Instance Key of the Provisioned resource and then retrieve the process data. So at this point you will have all the required data of the provisioned resource which can be returned to the object form field.
    This is one approach. Experts may throw more pointers.

  • Search a particular resource object in an organization in OIM?

    Hello,
    Can any body please suggest me which OIM API method i should use to search for a resource object inside an organiozation??

    tcObjectOperationsIntf
    getAssociatedOrganizations
    public Thor.API.tcResultSet getAssociatedOrganizations(long objectKey,
    java.util.Map attributeMap)
    throws Thor.API.Exceptions.tcObjectNotFoundException,
    Thor.API.Exceptions.tcAPIException,
    tcAPIException
    This method is used to get the list of organizations for whom the specified object is being provisioned. If not filter is specified, it returns all the organizations who are associated with this object in any way
    Parameters:
    objectKey - This is the resource object key

  • OIM - AD Trusted Resource/Resource Object

    I need to populate samAccountName in the Xellerate User object for Exchange Mailbox linking bc our Xellerate User User Id is a EmpID not samAccountName.
    So I've added AD as a Trusted Resource. Great, I can populate samAccountName in OIM. However, my problem now is that I need AD to show up as a Resource Object under a User's Resource Profile. When AD is a Trusted Resource, the associated user object doesn't appear in the Resource Profile since there is not process form.
    Is there any way to over come this?

    In the end, I just created another AD User Resource Object called AD User Trusted and used that object for trusted resource/recons and used the origianl AD User object for the non trusted resouce/recons.
    Works, just as I wanted. I have a AD resource associated to my users profile and I also have samAccountName populated in the Xellerate User object.

  • Resource Object API in OIM 11g r2

    Hi All,
    I'm new to OIM 11.1.2 and I'm working on provisioning users(trusted source) to OIM using custom code.
    In oim 9x ,tcObjectOperationsIntf is used to perform Resource object  Operations.I would like to know about Resource Object api in 11g R2
    Please help me on this.
    Regards,
    Madhu

    Resource objects in OIM11GR2 are application instances. You can refer application instance service API:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/apirefs.1112/e28159/oracle/iam/provisioning/api/ApplicationInstanceService.html
    Also, you can refer oim service api for common operations:

  • API of Resource object managment - OIM 11g R2

    Hi All,
    I want to provision a resource (say 'AD User') from a post event handler (OIM 11g R2) during user creation.
    Please tell me the API to be used.
    In OIM 10g, we can use 'tcObjectOperationsIntf' interface to operate on resource objects. what API is its replace in OIM 11g R2?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Create a role and add a rule membership to that role using your custom attribute.
    Create an access policy to provision AD resource and use the role created above while creating access policy. There will be a schedule task with the name "Evaluate user access policies". Change its schedule to run for every 1 minute.
    Now, create a user who satisfies the above role membership and make sure this user got the role membership. Immediately after a minute, this new user should be provisioned to AD resource automatically.
