Validate and set values of other attribute from the db or from the pl/sql

Hi,
I am working a validation of SSN field. I got around validating the entity attribute (SSN)(http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2003/01/17/usingViewObjectsInEntityObjectsForAnEfficientExistenceCheck.html).
Is it first of all possible to validation against a vo and set the values of other CoreInputexts ?
Where should I call the method exists (http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2003/01/17/usingViewObjectsInEntityObjectsForAnEfficientExistenceCheck.html)method to set the values of other field.
I am so confused.
Please shed some light!

The Tabular Form Element based on item_type column of SQL query is Displayed As Select List (based on LOV) referencing a named list of values which have the following properties
Display Value     Return Value
Hardware Asset    HA
Backup Device     BD
Computer System   HSThe Tabular Form Elements for the report attributes for hardware_id, backup_dev_id and hardware_os_id are all Displayed As Select List (Based on LOV).
What I want to do is only display the Select List for the FK depending on the value of the Select List on Item Type, e.g.
Item_Type is 'HA' then display Select List for hardware_id, do not display and set to NULL the Select Lists for backup_dev_id and hardware_os_id.
Item_Type is 'BB' then display Select List for backup_dev_id, do not display and set to NULL the Select Lists for hardware_id and hardware_os_id.
Item_Type is 'HS' then display Select List for hardware_os_id, do not display and set to NULL the Select Lists backup_dev_id and hardware_id.
There are properties on elements to conditionally display it but how do we reference the values of the SQL query Updateable region? they are not given a page item name?
Also on the Tabular For Elements there is an Edit tick against a report item - however when you go to the Column Attributes there is not a property with which you can control the Edit setting.
What's the best way of implementing this requirement in APEX 3.1?

I have a multi-row region that displays values and allows entries in a number of fields.Provide exact details of how this has been implemented. (An example on apex.oracle.com is always a good way to do this.)
I should like the fields to be conditional in that they do not permit entry, but still display, if certain conditions apply (e.g. older rows greyed out). Can this be done? Almost anything can be done, often in multiple ways. Which are appropriate may be dependent on a particular implementation, the skills available to implement it, and the effort you're willing to expend on it. Hence it's necessary to provide full details of what you've done so far...

Capture Hyperlink event and set value

Hello everyone,
I have a hyperlink on a report column and when I click on the hyperlink it takes me to an URL. Now I need to capture the time the user clicked on the URL and update a DB table column. So I created a Dynamic event to update an item, but I am not able to get the hyperlink event. When I select the Event as 'Click' and 'Selection Type' as 'Item', the report column does not show up on the Item(s) LOV. Can Dynamic Actions be based only on click of page items?
If so, is there any other to capture this Hyperlink event and set value? Also, as my 'Column Link' target is 'URL', I cannot set any value for items there!

I added the dummy page with 'OnLoad' page process with the PL/SQL code and my current page redirects to a new page with the new page's attributes set. Now I am able to update the timestamp on the table with the sysdate when I click on the click. However, my URL does not work. A page cannot be found error is returned. I displayed the P2_URL_ITEM on the page and it displays only until 'http', the rest of the text is cut. Is there a way I can increase the length of this page item?
As the URL value assigned to the page item did not work, I tried to hardcode the URL. Below is my page process on the load of dummy page,

Clipboard functionality and Multi Value in an attribute functionalities are not working.
I tried to look into the standard component and could not found relevant piece of code.
Our system is on 7.3 EHP1 SP9 but functionality does not seem to work.
Does anyone know in which EHP of 7.3 NetWeaver these functionalities are delivered.
Any note avalibale compatible with our system level?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately, a number of users appear to have encountered this problem. Some of these users have reported that the problem just disappears the following day or shortly after. Other users have found various other solutions to this problem.
Firstly, are you receiving any date and time errors when you turn on your Apple TV?
Check that you are properly connected to the Internet, by ensuring that you have a proper IP address and not one starting with 169. Also check that your location for the iTunes Store is set correctly, if so you might try changing it and then changing it back.
If the problem persists try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router, or if this doesn't work you might like to try a restore.

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...

Rate and accessable value is not displaying for the tax invoice output

Hello All,
Rate and accessable value is not displaying for the tax invoice output. Rest of all outputs for invoices shows Rate and accessable value.
Scenerio is free of charge sales order (samples) removing the goods from pant so excise invoice has been created and also updated. but for tax invoice out put rate and access value is not displaying.
Pricing procedure: In pricing procedure account keys have not been maintained because there is not gl account upadation during billing for free of charge delivery.

You can add values to that transient column programatically,either by getiing the row from the iterator and then row.setAttribute('Column_name','Value');
Or providing value to it in the SQL...

i got my new iPhone 5 and i connected it to my iTunes on mac and it ask me if i want to setup as new iPhone or restore backup and i restore back up but now i want to delete backup and set up as new iPhone, is the anyhow?

Can i use one JSF component's value for other component in the same page.
For example
I have a <h:selectBooleanCheckbox id="myChk"> in my jsf page, i want to access its value for another component like:
<h:commandButton disabled="#{myChk.checked}" action="myAction" value="myValue" />
** "myChk.checked" >> I am just asuming "checked" property is available...

Bind the checkbox to a UIInput myChk property. Then you can reference this property from the page, e.g.

I know. I was with my brother when we did this. He didnt clearly understood the question that poped-up. Regarding the simcard, after successfully restoring it on itunes my simcard won't work. I'm not able to send and receive calls and messages.

While playing my albums in iTunes it has just started playing the first song but will not progress through the other songs on the album. Did I accidentally change setting or are other people having the same trouble? thanks

Help to set value of an attribute based on value selected in another field

I want to set the value of an attribute STRUCT.ITM_TYPE to a default value whenever i select one of the value from dropdown list in LC_STATUS.
I tried to add an event in the get_p method of the lc_status but there i cant able to access the context of the ITM_TYPE as the fields are in different views.
