This fields from PP Querris level how would i know from which table we're getting data is there any easy process to find out please drop your suggestions..
Next doubt is when generate querry e.g. PM Module we don't know exatly what're the available tables & fields technical names but in my currently project using SAP Delivered Infocubes & Querries at the moment & generating querries but when we test in the Portal it's shows some fields '0', X. I've to check in source system weather it's having any values or not.

I'm a colleague of Maarten, and I think maybe we didn't explain well enough what we want. So let me try to elaborate:
We want to obtain the reference (within the SOAP-Body of the XI-message) to the attachment which contains the main payload (at least, in XI itself). This reference seems to have gone missing, once our adapter module (after having gone through XI) is entered (and, by the way, before we enter the SOAP-receiver-adapter).
The JAVA-representation of the XI-message seems to hide the fact that in XI itself, the main payload is an attachment, referenced from within the SOAP-Body.
Nevertheless, we would like to obtain/retain(?) that reference, in order to put it in our own to-be-created-additional-attachment, which would go (via the PayloadSwapBean-module of SAP) into the SOAP-body of the final SOAP-call, and should then reference the 'new attachment' (which was (in XI itself) the main payload).
So, I think both answers (up to now) don't help us much (however: thanks for your reaction anyway of course).
So, maybe someone has another idea?

How can we delete value fields from the Table T237A?

Dear All,
We need to delete some value fields in CO-PA. We got a message that these value fileds are being used in the Table T237A.
This table is related to key figure scheme.
We have deleted in t.c. sm31 in the table/view V_RS_T237A elements which were assigned to value fields to be deleted.
But we still have a message value fields are being used. And after some searches we found out they are still being used in the table T237A.
COuld you please, help us?

Change the Table Control attributes such that user can only select a single record(row).

I believe you CAN find this only when you are creating lv_string from your structure (or whatever it is).
So paste that code that what is your 'structure' type and on what conditions you want to Fill lv_string from it.
in that LV_string is dynamicaly select. from a structure which is a combination of say VBAK and VBAP
If you have a custom or standard Structure from which you need to fill lv_string, then you should have no worries to full VBAK~ or VBAP~ because fieldnames will be always unique in any Structure and hence ~ additions are not necessarily needed.
The issue can be in the case where you are picking few fields each from std tables VBAK and VBAP in your lv_string and
your "(from_tab)" is an inner join condition. I believe in that case you should be able to identify VBAK~ and VBAP~ while populating lv_string itself. Also you can use DB view MASSVBAP.

There is no direct field to get the PO Open qty(undelivered Qty).
Take the PO quantity for each Item from EKPO-MENGE.
For each PO Item there will be multiple GR(good's receipts) 's in MSEG table.
So pass EBELN and EBELP for MSEG table and Take all the GR Quantities(ERFMG) field and sum up .(have to take care of the Movement type also, becasue there will be some returns and GI's).
Substract the GR qty from PO qty you will get the UNDELIVERED QTY of A PO.

How To Import Into A Table with Multi-Value Fields

I have a table with a multi-value field that contains states in which a company does business. It is multi-value because there can be more than one state. I tried to import a text tab-delimited file in which the data was arranged as follows:
Field1 Tab Field 2 Tab OR, WA, CA Tab
The "State field contained the multiple entries separated by a comma (like they appear in a query of the multi-value field), but it won't accept it. Does anyone know how to import into a multi-value field?

Here's the code I used to populate a multi-value field from a parsed field. The parsing routine could be greatly improved by using the Split function, but at that time, I had not used it yet. FYI... the field name of the multi-value field in

From which tables the data is coming in to transaction fields, how to find?

I am new to abap,
I have some data in one transaction.
I want to know that one particular record in a field from which table the data is coming, how do i know?
How to find that for the transaction is haveing header and item tables?
How to find that what are tables used for that transaction?
by presseing f1 on a field we can find table name or structure name along with field name of that particular field?
If structrure means how to find that field from which table it is coming?
I found table name for some of the fields like this by pressing f1,double clicking on structure name?
but some fields in another transaction does not showing the table names only structure it is showing?

where you have to 1) activate trace ,
2) execute transaction
3) deactivate trace after transaction complete
4) display trace
there you can find all step by step flow from where data has been retirved and tables also .

How to enter values to a database table with data type 'LCHR'?

Hello All,
I have created a database table with five fields, of which the last field is 'Value' field in which i have to enter text with a maximum of 1000characters. I have also specified a 'Length' field preceding the 'Value' field.
The datatype specified for the 'Length' field is 'INT2' and for the value field is 'LCHR' with length 1000.
When i tried inserting values to the table through a report, the report is giving an error that 'Literals that take up more than one line are not permitted', which means 255characters.
Also, when i entered a short text which is less than 250 characters to the 'Value' field,, the report is working fine and the table entry is visible.
Can anyone help me in this?
It would be really helpful if you explain how to use 'LCHR' data type in tables and how to enter values to such a field with more than 255characters.

I too have tried with LCHR and am facing the same issue.. i am not sure why its coming..
i have tried STRING and its working perfectly.

Assigning value to Field - Symbol ( which is type of internal table field )

I am facing problem to assign the value to a field symbol. My requirement is creating a dynamic internal table and populate values into that internal table, so that i can display the values .
I am having a structure with fields like status , Plant1 name , Plant2 name.....Plant n .
So i declared an internal table it_tab with this structure.
I am having one more table which having number of records for Plant1 ,Plant 2 ,....Plant n based on some condition.
I need to count the number of records for Plant1 and i need to put in the internal table it_tab.
For this i created field-symbol .
Here, t_deployment table will have the plants 1,2,3...and
     t_devobject will have some records for these plants.

Because tommorrow some more plants added to t_deployments , i don't want to make changes to my program. It should take care....w/o changing the program.
I tried the following statement.
(<bet_var_name>) = w_count. But its not working.
Please let me know how i can get this.

I know the characteritic tables are AUSP, CABN and CAWN. Can someone tell me the table in which the possible values for a Characteristic Value field are given (Values that appear when we click F4 Values)?

There is none.   I created a custom search help for all our major characteristics.
1) Create a database view joining CABN, CAWN, CAWNT.
Join condition should look like this.
CABN     MANDT     =     CAWN     MANDT
CABN     ATINN     =     CAWN     ATINN
CAWN     MANDT     =     CAWNT     MANDT
CAWN     ATINN     =     CAWNT     ATINN
CAWN     ATZHL     =     CAWNT     ATZHL
The view fields are like this..
ATINN     NUMC     10     Internal characteristic
ATZHL     NUMC     4     Int counter
ATWRT     CHAR     30     Characteristic value
ATWTB     CHAR     30     Characteristic value description
Selection Conditions are like this.
CABN     ATNAM     EQ     'DOOR_GROUP'
In this example, it is a search help for the characteristic "DOOR_GROUP". Here you would substitute your characteristic name.
Ok now you have a database view for the certain characteristic.
Create a custom elementary search help via SE11, in the Selection Method, use the database view that you just created.
Parameter values should be like so...
ATWRT     X X 1     0     ATWRT
ATWTB     X    2     0     ATWTB
Now you have your search help.
Create a data element via SE11, under the search help declaration get the parameters as
Name         <Your Search Help Name>
Parameters   ATWRT
Now you have your data element. You can tie this to a database field or structure or whatever. In my case, its a structure.
Now in my program...
report zrich_0002 .
parameters: p_drgrp type zchar-door_group.
I have a parameter which is TYPED as my field in my structure, of course this field in my structure uses the data element created eariler.
Do it this way, you only have to worry about it once. It can then be used all over the system. You don't have to have a bunch of calls to F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to handle the F4.

Selecting fields those which contains values from a table of one record

Is it possible to select the fields of a table having not null values for a single record. The record contains 25 fields like
FieldNames are Field1, Field2......Field25
if Field1 and Field12 has some not null values and other fields contain null values, is it possible to retrieve these two fields...

How to get the table of value field? and can we expand the technical limits

I have created value field in COPA with KEA6. And now, I need the table which the value fields are saved. Yet, I have tried a lot to find it and get failure? Can any guy help me? Please tell me how to get the table of a value field.
And another question is that, can we extend the technical limits for the number of value field for ECC6.0?

You can display the length of a data record using Transaction KEA0 ('Maintain Operating Concern'). After you have navigated to the 'Characteristics Screen' or to the 'Value field Screen' choose menu path 'Extras -> Technical Limits'.
The maximum displayed here under 'Length in bytes on the DB' is the maximum length permitted by the Dictionary. The reserve required for the release upgrade must be subtracted from this value.
To increase the allowed number of the value fields, increase the value that is assigned to field ikcge-bas_max_cnt (FORM init_ikcge_ke USING fm_subrc, approx. line 165) in Include FKCGNF20. It specifies the number of the possible value fields. The corresponding part of the source code is attached to the note as a correction.

1. Delete / Remove login_ids from a string found in one or more of the fields in Mocha table

How can i change the color of a field in a table depence of a value

Is this possible to change the color of a row in a specific field of a table depends of the value of this field,,, for example if the value is equal or greather than 1.

Yes this is possible if you use the fillColor method. It requires R,G,B value of color.
//Sample code which highlights cell2 in my table which has two rows.
frm1.Table1.Row2.Cell2.fillColor = "120,120,120";
// If you want highlight complete row.
frm1.Table1.Row2.fillColor = "120,120,120";
So now just apply an if loop which reads the input value as greater than 1 and use the code shown above.
