Variable to function from image

Question

Greetings ~ I need to feed an image popup scenario with a
dynamic name. The image thumbs tile in a repeater and get there
paths from a mysql db. For the "popup" the app changes states on
click, and displays the big image within the other state. I'm can't
figure out how to get the dynamic image name/path into the popup
state. ? The same code from the img repeater doesn't work of
course. The state change is called from onClick(), which is called
from the <mx:Image> tag. Is it possible to pass the name
variable to the onClick function dynamically from the image tag? I
tried placing the {repeater.item} in the () but got errors.
Or, anyone know an easy to blowup a dynamically named image
source, other than scale and resize (because they ruin the layout
while scaling)? Thanks!

2. When posting code, post a minimal example program. You could have filtered
out all the extraneous GUI code, for example. Remember: the shorter the code, the

3. All that being said, your problem is a simple oversight: notice that the
variable "img" in your try block is a local variable, not the field named "img"
than you test after the try block.
You should have written:
