Verify a X.509 Certificate with Bouncy Castle and Java ME

Hi,
Can anybody point me to an example of verifying a X.509 certificate with Bouncy Castle under Java ME?
I can see how to easily do it in Java SE code with java.security.cert.Certificate.verify(), but I could not find an equivalent method in the lightweight API.
Any help is much appreciated.

That's a shame. I'm afraid I don't have any solutions, but I'm am interested if you find one. If you solve your problem, please post back here. In the mean time I'll keep looking around. Have you considered non-free software? IAIK has some fairly complete Java libraries for $$$, though I'm not sure what they have for JME.

MDM with separated ABAP and Java Instance

We installed SAP ERP system with SRM server and Portal as Java instance.
We use Oracle and have 2 oracle schemas/instances: ABAP and Java.
After mounting of MDM server and DBMS configuraiton (to Java instance) we have the following oracle objects:
Oracle Schema A2I_XCAT_DBS
2 oracle users: A2I_XCAT_DBS (owner of the schema) and MDMADMIN
2 tablespaces A2I_A2I_XCAT_DBS.DBF and A2I_A2I_XCAT_DBS_IX.DBF within the main dbs directory E:\oracle\<sid>\102\database
The used tablespace was set to PSAPTEMP
Questions:
1) How can the DBMS configuration will be removed, because the oralce path E:\oracle\<sid>\102\database was wrong
Unfortunately we would like to avoid merge MDM and Portal data in one and the same tablespace PSAPTEMP
2) Where can we find the oracle configuration for MDM with Java Schema, but using their own tablespace?

Are you basically trying to put a new User Interface (UI) on top of MDM because you do not want to use the standard MDM UI? If so, then yes you could write a custom WebDynpro and use the MDM API. We evaluated WebDynpro as an option, but instead we built a new Adobe Flex based UI that sits on top of the MDM Catalog and it totally awesome! There is a sample on our website (www.simplifying-it.net), but we are making some changes to the look/feel... however, the sample demo on the website should give you an idea.

Issues with certificates with both Firefox and chromium

I tried everything ... I reinstalled both of them.
I canceled the profile and made new ones.
I check with all my other computer if they have issues with certificates: no problem at all.
Checked the date, is ok.
Finally I checked what is installed on the system related to the problem ..

I'm having the same problem.
One potential solutions is to use a custom SQL server JDBC driver instead of going through the ODBC bridge. This will minimize dependencies and should also improved performance. Hope this helps.

i am planning to install Solution Manager 4.0 with Oracle 10G. in win2003 . Along with ..can i install EP,JAVA and Abap (netweaver) in the same server with MCOD??

avoid MCOD in environments where the systems do not have any transactional relations.
this is exactly the case between SOLman and any other SAP System.
Solman should not be installed on production servers use development or qa systems, use 64 bit.

Even if it had, I would have expected OutOfMemory errors rather than degrading performance. Although if the max heap size of the JVM has been set to a level higher than the RAM on the machine you could be getting excess page file usage.
This probably wouldn't put CPU utilization at 99% though.. I suspect this is a code related problem.
My best guess is one of two reasons:
1. Somewhere in your code, or someone elses, there is a loop that never ends.
2. There is a bug in the servlet container.
I don't know which servlet container you are using, but I have used Tomcat extensively and never seen this behaviour.

The Eclipse java IDE has a plugin called Eclipse Profiler which will allow you to track the utilization of code right down to the method level.

Help with sql statements and Java

How can I create a string kind of like this
Select * From Students Where Name Like "Bob Burns";
As the sql statement might indicate I am using MS Access. I seem to be having problems with the double quotes required by the Like operator in MS Access, Java views that as a beginning of a string as oppposed to an actual string value.

Like this:
    Connection connection = null;

Safari issues with Tabs, Video, and Java

Hi. I updated to Lion and Safari 5.1 and did all the software updates. I have a MacBook from 2008. For some reason, I am having a lot of issues with Safari. I hope someone knows what I am doing wrong.
1. Every time I open Safari after I turn on my computer or it wakes up from sleep, I have to do an internet test to get the computer to realize I am still connected to my house WiFi.
2. The computer goes to sleep after 30 secs. Can I change this somehow?
3. I cannot open any videos from YouTube or vidoes my friends have posted on Facebook.
4. I used to be able to drag a link over an existing tab and it would automatically go there. Now I have to drag it to the + sign to get it to open. (command click still works)
5. I tried to check my plug-ins to see if that was the problem. I put all of my internet plug-ins in the trash and added them one by one. Safari seemed to work a lot faster, but then as soon as it went to sleep, I had the same issues. Also, I can't find Java anymore (not in my trash, didn't delete anything from the trash) and I did the java test on a website and it's not showing what it's supposed to. All the software updates say it is fine, but obviously it isn't.
I know this is a lot of stuff, and most of it is probably due to me not really understanding how my mac works. I've been looking through the forums to see if anyone else has all of these issues; after an hour and a half of reading discussions, I gave up. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.

So, while waiting for some help, I've been continuing my own research.
3. It turned out that it wasn't Java messing with my videos. I just needed version 10,3,181,34 of Adobe Flash and now all videos are working. Hope that helps if anyone else was having similar issues. 4. It turns out that there are several other discussions regarding people who can't drag and drop links into Tabs on Safari. My solution was to write to Apple to ask if they can put that feature back in.
5. I'm not sure if I am still having Java issues, but so far everything I am needing to upload and watch is fine.
One and two are still annoying, so I'll continue to look for solutions. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them. Hope this helps someone as much as it helped me. I don't want to throw my computer against a wall every 5 seconds now.

Working with .pdf files and JAVA

does anyone have an answer to how I can find more information on .pdf files?
I would like to convert .pdf files to textfiles and/or xml files. I can not find it in the j2se Edition, and someone told me it can be found in the j2ee edition, but I can not find anything there either. Please help..

thanks for your reply. What tools do you mean? I know lots of tools for converting text to a .pdf file, but no tools for the other direction. There is an API available (commercial), that lets you work with PDF in JAVA, but i am interesting in the other possibilities.

Saving form field data with Adobe Reader and Java script.

We would like to create some customized PDF documents with pre filled form fields for our customers. The documents will also have extended Java script functionality to check some entered data and to save the form data to a local disk.
Our customers will need to click on their personalized link on our web page and then download a pdf document with personal pre filled form fields specifically for that customer. From our site the PDF file will be dynamically created and partly filled out with our web application. (The application uses an external PDF library for the pdf creation).
They would then need to be able to edit the form fields and save/export them as a pdf whilst offline.
The saving/exporting of the data should be implemented by the extended Java Script functionality (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/js_developer_guide.pdf). Once the data has been edited they will send the pdf file directly back to us.
The issue we have is with regarded to teh EULA for Acrobat Reader. If we create those documents with an external application is the user allowed to open those PDF files with his Adobe Reader without breaking the Adobe Reader Restrictions in the EULA for the Reader? the problem which I have pertains only to the Adobe Reader. Because
our user will use Adobe Reader to open our pdf documents but it looks
like that the EULA for the Reader doesn't allow the user to open pdf
files which have the extended option to save data out of the form
fields unless!! this feature was created by an adobe product. But I
created the pdf file not with Adobe. So I don't want our user be punished...
It is actually a question of the law? departement of Adobe. But there
is no Forum for that

Issue with Internet Explorer and Java Plug-in

Hi, I have a problem here and I hope someone knows whats going on. I have installed the Java Plug-in 1.4.0_01 and I have no problems using the plugin from Netscape.
Now when i try to load the applets using IE, it will not use the Sun plug-in that is installed. I have selected both IE and Netscape in the Java Plug-in Control Panel and IE still does not want to use the plug-in.
Is their a way to force IE to use the plugin?

Problems with SQL*Loader and java Runtime

Hi. I'm trying to start SQL*Loader on Oracle 8 by using Runtime class in this way:

Just a note if the executable "sqlldr.exe" does not stop (quit running) by itself the p.waitFor() will wait for ever.

Security issue with a website and java

I am having trouble getting Java to work on a website, the message tells me that I have a security issue but I don't know how to fix it??

The site may be sending Firefox for Android a page that is not correctly formed.
We have a feature in Firefox 39 which will allow the request desktop site menu item to show the full desktop site.
