Verify signature of a file

Is there a way to verify the digital signature of a file in AIR? For example, can I check the signature of an EXE in the file system?
I haven't found anything in the AIR or Flex docs, but is there a library for this, or are there any native extensions or tools available for this?
Thank you.

New SAP Business One license keys issued by SAP after January 31, 2010 may not work with SAP Business One license servers installed with older versions of SAP Business One.
SAP Business One 2007 A SP01 and higher, as well as SAP Business One 2004 are not affected by this issue.
The issue has been fixed in the following patch levels, which means that you will be affected if your SAP Business One system is running a lower version:
SAP Business One 2005 A SP01 PL54
SAP Business One 2005 B SP00 PL47
SAP Business One 2007 A SP00 PL47
SAP Business One 2007 B SP00 PL10
In order to avoid a system downtime due to this licence server issue, you need to install a license server fix. Check out SAP Note 1379033 for more information on how to install the license server fix.

  • Cannot publish Flash Updates Verification of file signature failed for file SCUP 2011, SCCM 2012 R2 and WSUS all on same Windows Server 2012 machine

I am attempting to distribute Adobe Flash updates using SCUP 2011, SCCM 2012 R2, WSUS ver4 and Windows Server 2012.  Everything installs without error.  I have acquired a certificate for SCUP signing from the internal Enterprise CA.  I have
verified the signing certificate has a 1024 bit key.  I have imported the certificate into the server's Trusted Publishers and Trusted Root CA stores for the computer.  When I attempt to publish a Flash update with Full content I receive the following
    error:
2015-02-13 23:00:48.724 UTC Error Scup2011.21 Publisher.PublishPackage PublishPackage(): Operation Failed with Error: Verification of file signature failed for file:

I have redone the certificates three times with no luck.  I can import metadata, but any attempt to download content results in the verification error.
    TIA

    Hi Joyce,
This is embarrassing, I used that very post as my guide when deploying my certificate templates, but failed to change the bit length to 2048.  Thank you for being my second set of eyes.
I changed my certificate key bit length to 2048, deleted the old cert from all certificate stores, acquired the a new signing cert, verified the key length was 2048, exported the new cert to pfx and cer files, imported into my Trusted publishers
and Trusted Root Authorities stores, reconfigured SCUP to use the new pfx file, rebooted the server and attempted to re-publish the updates with the following results:
2015-02-16 13:35:44.006 UTC Error Scup2011.4 Publisher.PublishPackage PublishPackage(): Operation Failed with Error: Verification of file signature failed for file:

Is there a chance this content was already created and signed with the old cert, so installing the new cert has no effect?  In ConfigMgr software updates I see 4 Flash updates, all marked Metadata Only (because they were originally published as "Automatic."
No Flash updates in the ConfigMgr console are marked as downloaded.  I can't find any documentation on how the process of using SCUP for downloading content for an update marked Metadata Only actually works.
    Comments and suggestions welcome.

Are you using the Reference Implementation WAR files that ship with Flash Access 2.0, or have you customized the WARs? The ClassNotFoundException suggests the WAR is missing some of the required JAR files (specifically bcprov-jdk15-141.jar), so if you have created the WAR yourself, please make sure you have included all the required JAR files listed in the "Setting up the development environment" section of Protecting Content.

  • Verifying Signature PDFs when opening is very slow

When opening a PDF it takes a really long time.  At the bottom of the screen it shows "verifying signatures".  How can speed up this process without unchecking "verify signatures when the document is opened"?  As a test I unchecked this box and the PDF opened almost instantly which leads to be beleive this "verification" is causing the slowness.  Also tested the file on a network drive and local desktop and both takes a really long time to open. I also imported some of the signature certificates into the "trusted certificates" but that did not fix the issue. Thanks.

What version of Acrobat are you using? Are the signtures use self-signed certificates or something else?I know signature verification performance has been addressed in various updates. You might also want to post this in the Acrobat Security forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/security_%26_digital_signatures?view=discussions

  • Cannot verify signature block SecurityException during version update

    Hi all,
I have my application installed on few systems using webstart. All the jars(including third party are signed by my certificate).
After that, during an update, I signed all the jars using a new certificate.
I have placed new jars in the cache server(Tomcat 5.0) and started it.
Now I made necessary version changes in the JNLP file(while the server is running).
When I started application on client machines, it tried to bring get the jars of updated version.
During that process, following exception is shown while downloading a thirdparty jar:

  • Event 7000 and 7001 in event log; cannot verify signature

On the user's system, the Workstation service will not start, preventing access to network drives through UNC paths.
The dependencies for the Workstation service (Browser Support service, SMB 1 redirect, SMB 2 redirect) are not starting because the system detects a problem with the digital signature for a file. For example:
The SMB 1.x MiniRedirector service depends on the SMB MiniRedirector Wrapper and Engine service which failed to start because of the following error:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.
I've run sfc /scannow a number of times, but that does not resolve the issue.
    Suggestions, please!

I tried updating bowser.sys at an elevated command prompt using the following commands:
    takeown /f  C:\windows\system32\drivers\bowser.sys
    icacls C:\windows\system32\drivers\bowser.sys  /grant administrators:F
    copy file-from-working-system C:\windows\system32\drivers\bowser.sys
The CBS.log from sfc doesn't indicate the directory in C:\Windows\winsxs to copy the file. There are multiple directories for the file, each tagged with multiple IDs. I used the same commands on the latest directory in \Winsxs, copied bowser.sys there, but
sigcheck shows that the file is still not signed.

  • Warning when trying to launch application over mapped drive "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure you want to run this file?"

We have 2 load balanced application servers that map drives with programs on them for users from a central server that are giving the warning "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure you want to run this file?". Basically how it works
is a user logs in to one or the other application servers (for example, 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2) and runs a log on script that maps an L:\ drive to the users folder on the central storage server (10.0.0.100). When the user goes to launch the .exe from the L:\
    drive it presents that warning.
I've looked around and have seen recommendations that you need to add the site to the local intranet zone for IE, but when I try to add L:\ it tells me that I have entered an invalid sequence. It appears that you can only put network shares in that location,
which is not how we're mapping the drive.
Has anyone run in to this before and knows how to resolve it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
A mapped drive letter is not supported so please try to input \\server or \\server\folder to see if it will help.

free tool (useful if PowerShell is not an option) to set this value. In addition, the utility can be run remotely. All it needs is a local API connection. It has built in help, but here's the syntax you'll need:
    /action setmaxcabsize /targetwsusname
    WSUSServerName /targeetwsususessl {YES|NO} /targetwsusport portnumber /maxcabfilesize
    sizeInMB

  • Do you have solution to add a signature on PDF files on HPUX (unix) system

    Hello,
My company plans tio use PDF files for our customers billings and we need to add signature to them.
As our PDF files are generated on a HPUX (unix) system, and quite 10000 files a day will be generated, do you have a solution do add signature to thses files directly on our unix system ?
    Thank you for help.

    Hello,
just to let you know that I had a contact with DataLogics who developped a new toolkit that seems to manage digital signature .
    Adobe PDF Java Toolkit http://www.datalogics.com/products/pdfjt/
I will let you know the results of my tests in the next weeks.
    thanks.

  • I am unable to read signatures on PDF files sent from my Los Angeles office - they use windows, any solution?

I am unable to read signatures on PDF files sent from my Los Angeles office - they use windows, any solution?

    Hey guys,
So this is follow up from my debarkle with the EDD. I found out my problem with copying files from Mac to EDD and vice versa was a result of a not so good EDD ( i had an apollo hard drive from imation) that was not very compatible with macs. So i did my research and found out that the best hard drives were Western Digital and Seagate. I bought the newest western digital EDD 1TB and formated it to FAT32 and guess what...no problems so far. The only problem is that FAT32 format doesn't copy files larger than about 4 gigs so i couldnt copy a movie from my brothers computer onto my EDD that was 1080p. You could probably resolve that by partitioning a small part of your hard drive in ExFAT? but yeah, hopefully that helped guys.
