Version management - pretty printer problem.

I have got a change request to change program.
Around 20 developers changed this program. I have changed the program. BUT BY MISTAKE I HAVE PRESSED PRETTY PRINTER button.
AS a result ...later to while checking version managenment,  my program won't show changes properly as you all know.
Please suggest me to avoid these pretty printer changes...
Please suggest me.

Hi,
in user settings you can specify 'ignore indenting' for split screen editor. This should enable version management.
Much better is a tool called Winmatch - don't know where to get; I use a version of winmat.exe from 1994.

  • PO Version management problem!

    Dear Experts!
After implementing Version Management for PO's , when the user is trying to take the printout of a PO that is modified , he could get the print(me9f) of PO with only the line items that were modified in the PO but not the whole PO , but when we see the PO in me23n we can view the whole PO .
Where is the problem? is it regards to ABAP or configuration?
    Regards,
    Parwez

    HI!
Well , the PO is printed thru ME9F transaction but is viewed threu me23n .
In this case me23n gives whole Po but me9f gives only modiifed line item sin the PO.

    Dear SAP Gurus,
How to fetch version management changes in the print output.
My client requirement is in the print output they need, in the first page the original data should be fetch and in the second page they need only the changes which has been made for that particular version number,
    ex:data before po changes
materialx  quantity 10 delivery date 01.05.2014.
    after changes
    material x   quantity 15  delivery date 01.05.2014.
In the printout put first page

    second page

  • My solution (or so I thought) to Power Manager/CPU throttling problems!!!

I have found a solution to all my Power Manager/CPU throttling problems!!! Though there is some good and bad news.
    {EDIT: The problem has NOT been fixed, even after latest PowerManager (3.62) and BIOS (1.30) versions. Pretty much ignore anything I say below as the problem is still occurring. You can see my full post here: http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/W-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/W520-Speedstep-not-working-properly-on-battery-...}
Good news:  I have NONE of the throttling issues or inconsistent CPU frequency problems I was having before on AC or battery power.  Everything, including TurboBoost on battery works! It is completely fixed! (I have no idea how this factors into Lenovo’s statements that TurboBoost is disabled on battery “by design”. There is at least one other post from someone else that also reported TurboBoost was working for them on battery)
Bad news: I don’t really know which one of the many things I tried actually worked. I am sorry I wasn’t more methodical about recording what I did and checking results, but this was my last ditch effort to get this fixed on my own without sending the system in for repair and frankly, I didn’t think it would work. Now that it has worked, I’m hoping my steps can help others.
For anyone interested, here’s what I did… and before anyone says something like “That has nothing to do with managing power/cpu, why would that help?!… etc., please keep in mind I’m just stating exactly what I did. I am aware some of the steps may not be relevant, but who knows… We all know how weird PC’s are sometimes, even the smallest, oddest thing may resolve a problem. So anyway, here goes.
**IMPORTANT** Not sure how many noticed, but there was a new version of Power Manager released a few weeks ago, 3.62. The PM driver seems to have stayed the same. That alone could very well be the sole fix, I’m not sure. You may just want to completely remove PM and PM driver and install the latest version before trying any of the steps below.
1)Made a complete system image via Windows built-in backup feature
2)Disable any 3rd party fan/CPU control utilities (Throttlestop, etc). Make sure they are also not going to run at startup or from a   scheduled task
3)Remove Power Manager Driver, then remove Power Manager software
    4)Reboot to Windows
5)Remove all traces of the Power Manager drivers/software directories (think it was something like C:\readyapps and C:\drivers.) **For some odd reason after I did this, my wireless stopped working but it resolved itself by the time I was done with these steps, strange
    6)Reboot
7)Access BIOS and reset all settings to default
8)Boot into Windows, downgrade to BIOS 1.25 [UEFI: 1.25 - 8BET44WW / ECP: 1.14 8AHT32WW ]  via the Windows flash utility. I wanted to downgrade all the way back to 1.06, but the software would throw up some error for any version prior to 1.25 and wouldn’t proceed
9)Reboot to Windows; make sure system booted w/ out issues
10)Reboot again, access BIOS, reset to defaults again
    11)Shut down system
12)Disconnect AC power. Remove main battery. Access and disconnect system backup (a.k.a CMOS) battery under keyboard. Discharge residual power in the system (there are various ways to do this, but you could just leave the battery disconnected for a few minutes).  Visually inspect the system for anything funky…my system had a slightly but noticeably loose CPU/GPU heat sink/fan assembly power connector.
    13)Reconnect backup battery.
14)Reconnect AC power but leave main battery disconnected.
15)Power on. Should get a message indicating “checksum error, system time reset” or something like that.
16)Reboot to Windows. Verified still okay.
17)Downloaded latest BIOS version, 1.26. This time I burned the bootable BIOS flash CD instead of running it through Windows.
18)Restart and boot from disc, flash BIOS to 1.26. Once complete, restart. Verify BIOS set to defaults.
    19)Boot back into Windows.
20)Install latest Power Manager driver (1.62 ), reboot if/as prompted. Install Power Manager (3.62), reboot as prompted.
21)Boot into Windows, verified Power Manager was active and working. Verified TurboBoost was working. Restarted system a few times and played around with Power Manager for a bit to see if the different power plans worked and retained the settings, all the while monitoring the Intel TurboBoost utility and PM’s own “power gauges”. Let system Sleep, changed power sources, resumed, etc. Everything was working great.
22)Shutdown, reconnect main battery. Booted into Windows. Again, fiddled with Power Manager for a bit, switching between power plans and AC/battery power. Still worked great.
    23)Success!
That’s it.  Again, this is not a guaranteed fix guide. These are just simply the steps that I took on my system that resolved the problems many of us are having. Hopefully it will work for others.

All I basically did was download and install...
    (Chipset driver) http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/oss924ww.exe
    (PM driver)  http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/83ku14ww.exe
Now, I did chipset first (didnt ask to reboot) then installed the PM driver (did ask to reboot)
I rebooted.... then I went into bios (1.26) and set everything to default... then restarted saving changes...
Since I prefer not using optimus I changed the display settings in bios right after saving the default settings...
Not sure whether or not you really had to go into bios... but everything seems to be working...
My settings in PM is set to Maximum Power in the Advanced tab,  3rd party monitoring tools is TPFanControl and HWInfo64....

  • My "fix" to print problems in LR (using MS XP)

Having had the same problems printing from LR as many others are complaining about, I thought that I might give my 2 cents to what I did to solve (?) the problem. I have to run with current setting in a while to be convinced that it is not just an intermittent fix though ;-)
My problem when printing from LR was that the print came out much too Cyan-Green and somewhat dark when color management where handled by LR. When the same photo was exported to PS Elements (PSE) in Tiff with the Pro-photo color profile embedded, adjustments from LR, and printed using the same driver setting and color management, the print came out fine.
I must mention that I have had fine printout in previous LR versions but I'm not sure when the problem started. But at least from LR version 1.3, 1.3.1 I have had problems printing a proper print.
As I'm not 100% sure what caused the fix, I don't want to leave much info un-documented, so I start by describing my system etc.:
    - Athlon 64 3500+ with 2 GB RAM
    - Lacie 119 LCD monitor (calibrated with a ColorVision Spyder 2)
    - Epson Stylus Photo 890 printer; an old (6-7 years) 6 color dye-sub printer, but it can still produce very good prints. (It is BTW, the A4 printer version of Epson 1290).
    - Microsoft XP service pack 2
    - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.3.1.
    - Adobe Photoshop Elements 5
    - Latest Epson 890 printer drivers ver. 5.21/P (from 2004)
    - ICC profiles for various Epson printer paper
    - Paper used: Ilford Printasia Photo Glossy Paper (but I have tried Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper as well with same results)
    I used following setting:
    - In printer driver: "No color management" was selected
    - LR and PSE color management; printer profile: Epson Stylus Photo 890 Premium Glossy Photo Paper, Rendering Intent: Perceptual
    . LR Print sharpening: High
    - LR Print resolution: 360ppi
When the photo was opened in PSE and I had printed a small print with above mentioned printer driver/color management settings. The print looked good, but with a little magenta color cast, so I thought that if I used a different printer profile this might help (I have no ICC profile for the Ilford paper). So I chose the "Epson Stylus Photo 890 Photo Paper" instead and printed again, and this time the photo looked as it did on my calibrated monitor. I have to admit I was a bit delighted even though it was from printed from PSE and not from LR, but seeing that color management worked in other applications was a relief.
In PSE, I also I tried changing to a different Rendering Intent before changing printer profile, but with no success.
Another thing that helped further was to change Media Type in printer driver from "Premium Glossy Photo Paper" to "Photo Paper".
After the print success in PSE I went back to LR and changed the Printer Profile to "Epson Stylus Photo 890 Photo Paper" (still with "No color management" and "Photo Paper" selected in printer driver) and printed the photo again. Now the photo looked as good as it did in PSE (!!!???).
Now I have made a few printer preset in LR for various print sizes, and the prints look fantastic. Every time! Do I have to mention that I am a happy guy ? :-)
BTW, remember that a printer preset also saves the printer driver settings. Forgetting this can easily cause some unexpected results.
The only thing is that, I still do not know what fixed the problem, and I am a bit worried that the problem might come back again. Maybe the print related changes made in PSE and the following selection of the same settings in LR did - somehow - "synchronize" LR to a proper color management. Sounds weird, but if it works...
I hope this long explanation was useful to - at least - some of you, who experience printer problems in LR. LR is a fantastic application, and I enjoy using it, but the printer problems has really been frustrating.
    Good luck!
    /Per

Little unclear about the border thing- you say it prints with a too wide border, but also say:
When I print the image with this set up, it still is printed without a border.
It's a factor of your printer, though; some can never print without a margin around all sides; this can be a border, or cut off. Good news, though; you can have a 5 x 7 borderless, or with any size border you wish if you print on larger paper, and trim to taste.

  • Version Management

    Dear Sirs,
We have activated version management for purchase orders.
Purchase Orders are made in the system and printout of the same are being taken from the print preview screen before the release of the PO.
If some changes are made in the PO after the release of the PO, the sytem does not activate the version management.  Reason: no messages were issued after the release of PO.
Is it possible that when a print out is taken, the system automatically processes the output message, whether the PO is released or not.
    Viral Bhinde

    Hi Viral,
    I got ur problem.
As you said when you make changes to PO system set new release strategy as well as new version. It is expected that whenever there are changes in PO it should be communicatted to Vendor thru PO print.
In your case ur PO created new version as well as new release strategy. And you tried to take print before PO release. Please first release the PO and take print thru ME9F. That message will disappear.
Plz let us know if there is further problem.
    Thanks
    Nilesh

  • Version managment in purchase order's

    Hi,
I am working on version management. I have configured it in the system but i have problem which is as below:-
Suppose i create a PO the system gives it version 0.Now i do various other changes and say create 2 more versions say ver 1 and ver 2.Now if i want to take the print of the original PO i.e ver 0 it still gives the print as in ver 2 which has all the changes instead of the original PO.Can u please explain why this is happening and the solutions.
    regards,
    Akshay

    HI GUYS,
    here's the scene in detail.
I make a PO with 1 item and qty 10,now when i save this version 0 is created.
Now i make changes in the PO say change the qty from 10 to 20, now version 1 is created. Now if i have to to the print of version 0, the print contains the changes which were made in version 1 i.e qty 20 instead of actual 10.
Does this mean that once a version is created the print of older version can't be taken without the changes that were made in the new version??

  • Version Management - Automatic creation on vew version

    hi experts,
I have activated in customizing a version management for Purchase Order, but I have the following problem:
the system doesn't generate a new version of PO when I change the address. I have already defined this field like a print-relevant in Customizing for Purchasing under Messages ® Fields Relevant to Printouts of Changes.
At the moment a can only see this change in a version display in the current version.
    tkanks a lot
    Mario

    Hi Mario,
    1) Go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Version Mgmt-Setup Version Mgmt for External Documents
Activate Version Mgmt against your Doc type and Double click on that Doc type NB then in next screen in Control data tab mark all the fields and in Field Selection set all the Fields as Required entry Except Posting Date and save.
    2) go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Version Mgmt-Define Reasons for change
Create one New Reason Called Xyz something and give text and save.
    3) Go to SPRO-MM-Purchasing-Version Mgmt-Set up change Displays
Here Select Doc type say NB and Give Table name say EKPO for PO and EBAN for PR, Give Field name say MENGE for qty and save.
    Now try once.

  • Continuing printing problems with LR 1.3.1 (magenta)

Downloaded/installed the .1 version of 1.3 hoping that it would "fix" the magenta tinge associated with printing thru LR print. It did not. Still the same magenta tint. Although most of the discussion in previous threads had to do with MACs, I'm running a vista PC. This is a new PC ... previously had an XP PC running version 1.2 ... no issues. Do the issues identified for MACs also apply to PC users? Also not printing to an Epson printer, but to an HP B9180. Thanks.

Sorry I'm a bit late to this thread. Erik and Samora, I am glad that you solved the Lightroom / HP B9180 printing problem. Please keep this forum posted about HP followups or any future printing problems you may have.
Not to jinx you, but I have been down that road before. I started out with Lightroom printing with the magenta tint, mentioned by many others. I didn't understand what was happening since I had a managed workflow on my XP machine, and PS CS3 made excellent prints on the B9180. I spent much time on this forum looking for answers. Finally I thought I found the answer and changed the default printer to the B9180. (See http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bca1a12/8 for the full info.) Unfortunately, the good news didn't last. Within a couple of months Lightoom returned to its former bad behavior.
I think there is an insidious problem here with Lightroom, much more than people simply not selecting the correct profile or not understanding color management. What works for some people does not work for others. What worked at one time for me (see the above reference) now longer works. It seems that most people do not have a problem but others have great problems that apparently defy logic. The Lightroom bug bites Epsons, HPs, and Canons, as well as both Windows and Mac machines. After hours of analysis and testing, the best I can come up with is: "it just doesn't make sense." (I say this with tongue-in-cheek since I'm a highly-analytical person.)
After a couple hours of test printing, all unsuccessfully, I tried to reduce possible conflicting issues by deleting from the B9180 color management properties all profiles, except the HP PSPro B9100-Advanced Photo Glossy; this is so Lightroom could not inadvertently select another profile. I made sure that the B9180 printing preferences was set to Application Managed Color. Then I made sure that the profile selected in the Lightroom Printing module was HP PSPro B9100-Advanced Photo Glossy. Still the magenta tint. I also get the tint using a custom profile from InkJetArt for one of their papers. I do not get the magenta tint when I send Lightroom output to my old Epson 1280, which I also have connected to the computer (parallel cable instead of USB). It just doesn't make sense.

  • Activate Version Management in Purchase Order

    Dear All Expert,
Current Condition, Version Management will be activated once the PO has been full released (using t-code ME29N) and then printed (using t-code ME9F).
    Problem:
Condition in our client that they only need particular document that will be printed, so not all PO will be printed.
Based on this condition our client tends to activate Version Management once PO is approved/released (using t-code ME29N) without need to be printed.
Hope anyone could help me to solve this problem.
    Thanks,
    Franz.

  • Lightroom printing problem Epson R1800, XP SP2, colors dark

I'm having no success with printing from Lightroom 1.3.1, with a quite new Epson R1800, on an IBM R51 with Windows XP SP2.
Printing is fine, using Epson's Easy Photo Print, and PhotoShop Elements 2.0. In fact, the results with Epson's Easy Photo Print and Elements 2.0 are almost identical.
I played with ICM on, off, downloaded new Epson icc profiles for glossy paper, loaded new cartridges, cleaned nozzles, etc.
And I searched this users forum and the general web. Sounds like printing problems with Lightroom is pretty normal.
Any other clues or hints to solve the problem? Seems pretty stupid that Lightroom can't be used to print.
    ...Vick

    Vick,
I'm new to printing on my Epson 1800 and am sure others know more than I do, but this might be a start since I had the same problem printing from Photoshop CS3 on a R1800 and R200. I think the problem is in the printer properties/printer dialog setup and since the problem is the same maybe the solution is also the same.
In Lightroom click File - Print Settings or, to get to the same place, click File - Print and click the Page Setup or Print Settings or Print button. Whichever, it takes you to the print setup for the 1800. Click Properties which takes you to the Epson Stylus Photo 1800 Properties window. In the bottom right, click Advanced button. A "note" warning about making changes pops up. Click continue. Under the Main tab, color management make sure ICM is NOT selected. I have "Color Controls" selected. Click OK (twice I think) to get back to the Lightroom print window. This corrected the dark colors problem I was having. When printing in PS3 it asks, "Did you enable color management in the printer dialog?" Somewhere else I found the suggestion to disable ICM color management when printing from PS3. So much to know!! Hope this helps.

  • Printing Problems with Lightroom!!

I am completely new to Lightroom and was hoping that someone could help with my printing problem. I have been taking all my photo's in both JPEG and RAW versions for flexibility and I have not carried out any development to any of the photo's yet. I have tried going straight to the print module and tried print a basic copies, however the pictures print in very dark tones like the picture was taken in very bad light and there are some blue vertical lines appearing on each copy. Please note that this happens with both the JPEG and RAW pictures. I have ruled out the printer as a problem because I can print out the same photo via the software that came with my printer and they look great, just as they appear on the screen. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Hopefully there is a quick answer!!
    Many Thanks,
    Gareth.

Sorry for the delay, I seem to be experiencing delays with this website.
    OK here goes:
Under the Color Mangement Banner on Lightroom it has profile with managed by the printer next to it. Underneath that is Rendering Intent with perceptual by it, but these are blacked out.
I looked in the Printer Properties on my PC and under the color management tab it has set to Automatic (I hope this is what you asked for)
The Printer is an Epson stylus PHOTO RX560
My Operating system is Windows XP, Media Centre Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2.
    Hope this helps.

  • Version Management error

    Dear Gurus,
Am havng a problem in version Management. After creating a P.O and saving it I need to make changes in it. I am changing the quantity and before saving the P.O i want to enter the reason for change. The red flag on top of status tab is not coming and it is not allowing me to enter the reason for change. Kindly guide me how to fix this prblm...Thankyou...

    Hello,
New version will only be triggered, once you completely release the PO, output the PO and then do any changes with print relevant fields.
For maintaining reason for change in version, you can follow Customizing --> Purchasing --> Version Management  --> Set Up Version Management for External Purchasing Documents, and make the field mandatory.
    Hope this helps.

  • Aperture colour management vs Printer colour management

I am quite new to both Aperture & Mac, having moved over from PC and generally Adobe software.  I shoot RAW mainly, on a Nikon 200 and use a Epson R1800 printer.
I have used a Spyder 3 to calibrate my screen and I am happy with the on screen images.  However I have used both Aperture 3 and the Epson colour management to print a few versions and am struggling to get the same satisfaction on paper.  Previously on a PC (sorry for that) I had few problems with matching screen to paper.
Any thoughts or similar experiences would be most welcome
    Thanks

I think you will find in the dialogues for printing the suggestion to turn off printer control of the color, and simply allow Aperture alone to control.  This is recommended.
