Versions of object type TOBJ

Hi,
In which table versions of object type TOBJ will be stored.
In table vrsd it is not stored.
Thanks in advance

Hi Krithiga,
In many times a sap object don´t have any version.
If you go to the table TOBJ and press Utilities -> Versions -> Versions Management it´s posible that appear a unique version and the next text:
There are no versions in the version database.
For this reason aren´t any entry on VRSD table.
Best Regards.

    Hi,
    Does someone know from which version on object Types can be referenced via database links ?
    I could not manage with Oracle 8.1.7 and needed this features as the only way to access
    a stored procedure array is via collection and using Object Types.
    But Object Types are not possible to access remotlely.

    Hi Srinivas,
    We are working on Modelling in SAP PI, but we are unable to create any Business Object.. is there any specific steps need to be followed.
    Once we login to our ESR from index page we have this option to choose
    Available Profiles :         Process Definition
                                       Service Definition
                                       Unregistered.
    We are getting the option of new types (_Business Object_) only if we select Unregistered Profile and not in other Profiles . Is there some settings need to be done.

  • OSB to Object Types: difference between NULL value and not available

    Hello all,
    I have a question about Object Types. More specifically, how to differentiate between an empty value (null) and a string not available.
    This is my case:
    I have created an object type with three parameters.
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE OSB_EMP_OBJ_TYPE AS OBJECT
    (EMP_ID NUMBER
    ,DEPT_ID NUMBER
    ,ORDER_ID NUMBER
    ,CONSTRUCTOR FUNCTION OSB_EMP_OBJ_TYPE
    RETURN self as result
    /I would like to see what happens when I put an empty string into emp_id, NULL into DEPT_ID and nothing into ORDER_ID.
    To do so I have this test script:
    declare
      p_emp OSB_EMP_OBJ_TYPE := OSB_EMP_OBJ_TYPE();
    begin
      p_emp.EMP_ID := '';
      p_emp.DEPT_ID := null;
    --  p_emp.ORDER_ID := null;
      if p_emp.EMP_ID is null
      then
        dbms_output.put_line('Empty');
      end if;
      if p_emp.DEPT_ID is null
      then
        dbms_output.put_line('NULL');
      end if;
      if p_emp.ORDER_ID is null
      then
        dbms_output.put_line('Not available');
      end if;
    end;The result of this is:
    Empty
    NULL
    Not availableIt seems that Oracle treats all three situations alike. What I would like to achieve is a way to see that p_emp.ORDER_ID was not initialized.
    To elaborate a bit: in our production system this procedure would be called from OSB and the object type would by the input for that procedure. Our database version is 10.2.0.5.0.
    Our procedures look something like this:
    procedure p_procedure ( p_emp in osb_emp_obj_type )
    is
    begin
      do_something;
    end;Can anyone tell me if there is a way to achieve this, so I can see whether or not a value in the object type was filled?
    Thanks in advance!

    Darn...
    Eventually we want to use this for an update procedure. The client gets all current data from the database by calling a webservice that (using OSB) selects the data from our database. What we want to achieve is that the client can update that data, by returning only the changed fields to an update procedure.
    We then handle an empty tag to update the field to null, and we ignore missing tags.
    OSB itself can handle this, but PL/SQL can't.
    I'm now thinking of adding an indicator to each optional field (clear_field_yn). OSB can still check for empty tags or missing tags. When a tag is empty, it's corresponding indicator will be set to 'Y'. If the tag is missing, then it will be set to 'N'.
    Is that a solution to consider, or is there a much simpler approach possible?

  • Expression or Function as field in Object Type

    I am trying to use an expression or call a function as a return value for a field in an OBJECT TYPE.
    Here's the obj def:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE OUTAGE_REPEAT_CALL_T2 AS OBJECT (
         INITCALL_TS      DATE,
         LASTCALL_TS      DATE,
         CALL_SRC      CHAR(8),
         ELAPSED_TIME     NUMBER,
         REP_ID           CHAR(8),
         CALL_CNT      NUMBER(3)
    The ELAPSED_TIME field should be the differnece in minutes from the LASTCALL_TS and SYSDATE...
    I'm not sure how to select into this OBJECT to get my result...
    Sample table and data:
    SQL> desc oms.outage_repeat_call
    Name Null? Type
    ACCT NOT NULL NUMBER(10)
    INITCALL_TS NOT NULL DATE
    LASTCALL_TS NOT NULL DATE
    CALL_CNT NOT NULL NUMBER(3)
    CALL_SRC NOT NULL CHAR(8)
    REP_ID NOT NULL CHAR(8)
    The ELAPSED_TIME is not part of the underlying table..
    sample data from tbl:
    ACCT INITCALL_ LASTCALL_ CALL_CNT CALL_SRC REP_ID
    123456 02-JAN-02 02-JAN-02 1 CBIS MJB2302
    I want to have this as a result:
    INITCALL_ LASTCALL_ CALL_SRC ELAPSED_TIME REP_ID CALL_CNT
    02-JAN-02 02-JAN-02 CBIS 9997 MJB2302 1
    But by doing a select from the OBJECT TYPE:
    i.e.
    SELECT OUTAGE_REPEAT_CALL_T2(     ORPC.INITCALL_TS,
                        ORPC.LASTCALL_TS,
    ORPC.CALL_SRC,
                        'expression or func' AS ELAPSED_TIME,
    ORPC.REP_ID,
    ORPC.CALL_CNT)
    FROM
    OMS.OUTAGE_REPEAT_CALL ORPC
    WHERE
    ORPC.ACCT=123456;
    I am using DBMS_XMLQUERY to eventually get this:
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW num="1">
    <INITCALL_TS>1/2/2002 12:45:0</INITCALL_TS>
    <LASTCALL_TS>1/2/2002 12:45:0</LASTCALL_TS>
    <CALL_SRC>CBIS </CALL_SRC>
    <ELAPSED_TIME>10009</ELAPSED_TIME>
    <REP_ID>MJB2302 </REP_ID>
    <CALL_CNT>1</CALL_CNT>
    </ROW>
    </ROWSET>
    Here's the real query... this OBJECT TYPE is embedded as an attribute of another OBJECT TYPE def.
              sQuery := 'SELECT '
                   || iNumAcct || ' AS NUMACCT,
                   SITE_T(S.ACCT,

  • Calling a PL/SQL from VB with IN argument of object type

    I need to call a PL/SQL function in Oracle 8.1.6 from VB. One of the IN arguments is an object type (TYPE). How would I instantiate the variable of Oracle object type on VB side so that it can be passed to the Oracle?
    Thank you

    You have some flaws in your code.
    First - don't use same identifier for pl sql variables ( including parameters) and column names. In your case oracle will evaluate the where clause as where column_name=column_name which is probably not what you want. The next one - you should ensure that select into yields one row , not more, not less, otherwise you 'll run into exception.
    To actually print the desired values, you have to use dbms_output aware client ( sqlplus is such one) and for sqlplus in particular you have to issue set serveroutput on
    Here is a very basic example how can you get it to work:
    SQL> SELECT * FROM V$VERSION;
    BANNER
    Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Product
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production

    TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production

    SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE FIND_EMPLOYEES

      5  BEGIN
      6          SELECT LAST_NAME INTO LAST FROM EMPLOYEES WHERE FIRST_NAME = p_first_name;
      7          dbms_output.put_line(LAST);
      8  EXCEPTION
      9    WHEN no_data_found THEN
    10    dbms_output.put_line('There is no one employee with such first name!');
    11    WHEN too_many_rows THEN
    12    dbms_output.put_line('There are many employees with such first name, try with another one!');
    13  END FIND_EMPLOYEES;
    14  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL> SET SERVEROUTPUT ON
    SQL> EXEC FIND_EMPLOYEES('Julia')

  • How to automate the employees info. from R/3 to xRPM for object type P

    We need to automate the employees information (new/change) whose object type (P) from R/3 system to xRPM system (CProject component).
    We did ALE distribution model  with the message type (HRMD_ABA) and able to achieved  distribution(R/3 -> xRPM) thru manual step using PFAL transaction. I have no issues on this part.
    Now we want to automate the same process to distribution(R/3 -> xRPM) that whenever employees have been created/change in R/3.
    By using standard program “RBDIDOC” which can be achieve by defining background job with message type “HRMD_ABA”. But it pulls all the object types for the given message type at selection screen. But i am interested only employees with object type P.
    There is no much provision existed to restrict only for employees with object type (P).

  • ORDVir object type

    First i had a problem with creating tables with image type column.
    For example, when i typed:
    CREATE TABLE stockphotos (photo_id NUMBER, photographer VARCHAR2(64),
    annotation VARCHAR2(255), photo ORDSYS.ORDVir);
    i got the answere invalid datatype for "ordsys.ordvir"
    After that i tryed with ORDImage instead of ORDVir an i succeed. But
    then raised another problem. When i tryed to generate signature for
    image data object:
    declare
    image ordsys.ordimage
    image.analyze
    i got error. Obviously obtaining atributes can happen just to ORDVir
    object . So my Question is do i get this object type (in ORDSYS )
    after the installation of oracle or i had an installation problem?
    I also tried with CREATING ORDvir OBJECT TYPE procedure but i didn't
    succeed. What should i do?

    What version are you running?
    If you are running a newer version, you should look at ORDImageSignature for matching since it is the newer implementation developed in house instead of having to pay royalties, and passing the cost to customers.
    We do support ordvir applications, but you have to install the ordvir compatability kit. See: <ORACLE_HOME>/ord/vir/admin/README.txt

        No i am getting a sigle entry in which the sender service is the file system and the receiver service is the Integration Process.
    <i>>>Do you have 2 receiver determinations.

               Yes i have the above 2 receiver determinations.
    <i>>>Also go to SXI_CACHE and check the Runtime version of your Integration PRocess.</i>
          the runtime version of my integration process is 2.
    I also tried activating my integration process in SXI_CACHE but the version remains 2.
    What can i do next?

  • Help! modifying size of varchar2 in object-type

    Hi,
    Does anybody know a way to increase the size of a varchar2 attribute in an ORACLE object type without having to drop all object tables created from this type? I'm working on a ORACLE 8i (8.1.6) version and there are several millions of records stored in that table, and all I need to do is modify a varchar2(35) to varchar2(100).
    Michael

    This command don't work ?
    alter table TABLE_NAME modify COLUMN_NAME varchar2(100);

  • Passing Object types using JDBC

    I need to pass Oracle user-defined object types in and out of
    PL/SQL stored procedures. Is this possible???
    Thanks
    null

    Hi Tina,
    I just had another thought. JDBC for 8.0 doesn't support
    user-defined SQL types. This feature isn't implemented until 8i.
    Sorry about the false lead!
    So you'd have to wrapper your object in another PL/SQL method
    which 'explodes' the user-defined type, as:
    procedure can_call_from_jdbc (ename varchar2, empno number, ...)
    is...
    begin
    call my_procedure(employee_t(ename, empno, ...));
    end;

    : : : #sql {call P2(2, :out e);}

  • Object type mappings in expression builder

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use expression builder to give me a query returning all instances of an object with a particular foreign key, and where 'active' = true.
    'active' is a CHAR field in the database with values 'T' or 'F' and this is mapped to a Boolean in workbench as true and false.
    All works fine in normal operations, retrieving and writing the data.
    I've written the expression as
    myId EQUAL arg
    AND
    active EQUAL 'true'
    where 'true' is a literal of type Boolean.
    Unfortunately, running this query generates an error that no mapping exists for 'true'.
    I've also tried changing it to
    active EQUAL 'T'
    where 'T' is a literal of type String.
    This also generates an error.
    It seems to me as though the object type mapping is confusing the expression builder and it can't generate the sql correctly.
    Any ideas?

    Can you post the specific version of TopLink, the exact code you are using to construct and execute your query, as well as the error message with stack trace. With these items we should be able to provide an answer for you.
