Vertical calcuation (Calcuation b/w two rows ) in Reports
I am trying to create an report, where, I want to see the % change between two rows. For Eg. What is the %age +/- between January 2008 and January 2009. I am not able to display that value in reports. I have two seperate reocords for each customer for january 2008 and January 2009. Any help will be really appreciated..
yudhvimor, you will get the best results if you post this question in the CRM On Demand Analytics and Reports forum. Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I want to merge two rows in my reprt.For ex:
<u>Now my report is showing in this format:</u>
Customer Plant Value
A B 0
B 12.5
<u>I want to make it as</u>
Customer Plant Value
A B 12.5
Any suggestions. Thanks.You can try doing a lookup for your field A at the cube or the ODS level[in your update Rules].
You get two different records because your Field A is # not assigned in this record. Try populating your field A doing a lookup to other related ODS or cube based on your key fields. This would get you a single record with all the fields and a single record at the report level. -

Two rows as one display the data in one row
Hello All,
I would like to have data of two rows put in one as:
Lets say the data is like this:
SELECT * FROM TEST;
COL1 COL2 COL3 C
1.5 3 1 M
2 1 C
2.5 2 C
3.5 2 M
4.5 3 M How do i get the output as :
COL1 COL2 COL3 COL4 COL5
1.5 3 1 M 2
2.5 2 C 3.5
4.5 3 M If there are two rows with same value in Col3, then col5(a new dummy column in select stmt) the second row's col2 should be disaplyed in Row 1.
Can we do it in a Select Statement ?
Regds,
AmkotzA try :
SQL> select * from Amkotz;

hi all
In alv report out put the field heading is too long.
So I want to disply the heading in two rows.
Like April 2006 prior month personal,
Is to be disply like in one row April 2006.
And in next row prior month personal.
Please send the reply as early as possible to [email protected]i think it is not possible like that , u can increase the length of that field in fieldcatalog
wa_fieldname-outputlen = '100'.
and in layout u can use
wa_layout-colwidth_optimize = 'X'. -
I have several bookmarks on my toolbar, and my most often used ended up in a pull-down menu, which is annoying. I tried to click and drag them onto the menu bar, because there was room for more icons, but they won't budge. Nothing under "Toolbars" was helpful. Help would tell me to right click on my toolbar and then click on "Customize"...which didn't come up as an option. I would really like all my toolbar bookmarks (I only have about 10) to be visible on the actual toolbar, not hidden away in a small pulldown tab.
There is a plug-in that enables you to put bookmarks in two rows on your toolbars, but it is not compatible with my version of FF (7.0.1).
App Tabs are cute, but I don't like them on top where they take up room where I have the tabs for various websites open (I usually have several open at a time). App Tabs are fixed and don't scroll over like website tabs, which is extremely annoying, and hence why I 1)would like to move them to the bottom of the toolbar or 2)be able to display all my bookmarked toolbars --which is what I prefer.
BTW, I have Windows 7.
Thanks in advance for your help.App tabs are special tabs and are always displayed at the left end of the tab bar.
You can place all bookmarks that you want to see on the Bookmarks Toolbar in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.<br />
You can do that in the side bar or the Bookmarks manager if you can't do it on the Bookmarks Toolbar.<br />
Most Visited is a special (smart) folder that shows websites that you've visited and that aren't necessarily bookmarks, so you can't drag them on the bookmarks toolbar unless you first bookmark them. You can do that by opening them in a tab and clicking the star on the location bar twice and choose the Bookmarks Toolbar as the destination folder.

Add new row in table between two rows - OATableBean
Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to add a new row between two rows. Lets say I have a table with 5 rows. I am envisioning having an icon (table switcher) on the row #1, which when clicked will insert/create a new row between rows #1 and #2 like #1.5, something that can be achieved in core forms. In core forms, when we click the add button, it immediately creates a new row before the current row ( and pushes other rows down). Is that possible with OATableBean. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks,
Ravi.Hi,
I used following code to insert the row in the end
public void createNewRow()
XXEGASRLinesVOImpl vo =getXXEGASRLinesVO1();
Row row1 ;
int i;
Row row[] = vo.getAllRowsInRange();
row1 = vo.createRow(); //vo.createRowSet("10");
vo.insertRowAtRangeIndex(row.length,row1);//.insertRow();
row1.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
Check if it works for you, you have to modify it to meet your requirement.

I have a ABAP ALV(reuse alv grid FM) report.
The last field in the ALV is "Description" which can contain data of size more than 130 chars.
Since the max field length in ALV grid is 130 chars hence I am splitting this field value whenever the field length is more than 130 chars.
After splitting I am generating duplicate rows but with different "Description" field values ( each contains the splitted values".
For example:
Name| City | Description |
Hari|HK |Employee responsible for time management |
Hari|HK |and issue resolution |
Now I want to hide the grid line between these two rows
and just for Description field.
In other words I want ALV to display like this:
Name| City | Description |
Hari|HK |Employee responsible for time management |
Hari|HK |and issue resolution |
How can I acheive this?
Please provide some sample code.
Please help. I will be really greatfull to your help.
Thanks
GopalHi Rich,
If that is the case then atleast how can I hide the complete row grid line?
Please give some sample code.
Thanks

When using private browsing to view image results in Safari 5.1.3, only the first two rows of results are visible, the following four or so rows display greyed out place holders, the remainder of the results page is blank, and the safe search button is inoperable. When I turn off private browsing and refresh the page, everything works again.
Anyone else having this problem?I have got the same behaviour after the last Safari Update to 5.1.3. It seems that Safari now handles some scripts in a new way. If you debug the Google Website, you will see, that there is some Javascript Error, that seems to prevent to write into local cache. After some searching I wasn't able to finde a solution for this problem, other then disabling Javascript while private browsing to prevent the script loading. You then are able to use Google with the old layout. The option to disable JavaScript can be found in the Menu "Developer", wich has to be enabled in Safari in the options first.
In my opinion this is a bug that is now occuring, because Apple changed something in private browsing and that has to be fixed by Google now, to run again. Or we will have to wait for 5.1.4, as you can read online Apple will change and bugfix the javascript engine in that version, perhaps this fixes the problem as well. I hope so!
If anyone is in the developer program perhaps you could test this with the beta of 5.1.4 and tell us if it works. -

Please use the grid option and with the Spreadsheet button (CntrShiftF7). Do "Save as" and save it as excel. It should work.

Grouping of two rows of internal table
Hi all,
I am having a requirement in which I want to group two rows of an internal table and assign a pointer to the two rows.
This pointer variable will then be passed to ALV.
Help reqd.
regards.Hi Gaurav,
Hope the below code helps:
TYPES :BEGIN OF TY_ITAB2,
DATA(400),
END OF TY_ITAB2.
DATA: ITAB3 TYPE TY_ITAB2 OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE
Loop at itab1.
ITAB3-DATA = ITAB1-LABEL.
APPEND ITAB3.
ITAB3-DATA = ITAB1-MATNR.
APPEND ITAB3.
endloop.
or
You can create a deep internal table. You can declare one Column as an internal table and store the NOTES in that Internal table for each row.

How to compare two rows in PL/SQL?
Hi All,
How to compare two rows in PL/SQL? Is there any method that I can use instead of comparing them column by column?
Any feedback would be highly appreciated.PhoenixBai wrote:

If you're talking of rows within a PL/SQL associative array there are techniques as described in the documentation... e.g.
SQL> ed

3 r1 v1 := v1(1,2,4);
4 r2 v1 := v1(1,2,3);

6 if r1 MULTISET EXCEPT DISTINCT r2 = v1() then
7 dbms_output.put_line('Same');
8 else
9 dbms_output.put_line('Different');
10 end if;
11* end;
