View OID users inside a portlet

Hello to all.
Is there a way I can call a user group located inside OID and present its users and their data inside a portlet just like omniportlet does with database tables??

Here's a start:
DECLARE
list PORTAL.WWSEC_OID.VC_ARR;
BEGIN
list :=
wwsec_oid.get_group_attr_vals(
p_groupname => portalGroupName,
p_attr => attribute,
p_base => wwsec_oid.get_group_search_base);
The hard part is cycling thru the members, determining which as are users and which are groups. If group, recurse the find that group's members.
Other options include determining if the user is an owner of the group.
I am not sure if wwsec_oid is officially published, so beware...
I hope this generates some ideas for you...

How to change the color of the links inside a portlet ?

Hi,
I have to apply a css into one of the portlets of my page. Since I thought it would not be easy I figured out that the only thing the client cares is the color of the links inside the portlet. The portlet has a bunch of links and these link should be blue and 12pt. Does somebody know how to do that ?

Change hyperlink color:
There are about 50 predefined styles with each template. They are modifiable. Hyperlink is one of the styles.
Follow this process:
• In your document select a word of text, any word will do.
• Style it the way you want your hyperlinks to look.
• Show Styles Drawer from the View menu.
• Find the Hyperlink style in the drawer and right-click on it.
• Select - Redefine Style from Selection - in the pop-up menu.
That's it. You've changed the hyperlink style for this book.

How to change the view of the basic search portlet

Hi,
I want to change the view of the basic search portlet. To be more precise, I just want a text box and a Go button in it. Cananybody advise on how to do this?

Indeed the 'Basic Search Box' item is what you want to use. You can choose what label you want or an icon if desired.
As mentioned in a previous reply, you need to edit the properties of the Page Group where you want to add the item and add the 'Basic Search box' to the list of available items that a user can add to the page group.
Navigator -> Properties (for the desired page group) -> Configure Tab -> Edit link in the 'Content Type and Classification' section -> Item Types section add the 'Basic Search Box'.
Now in a page in that page group, add an item, and from the list of 'Built-In Navigation Item Types' you will see the 'Basic Search Box'.

Mapping db users to OID users

We have a handful of database users accounts, each of which are shared by multiple OID users, depending upon the rights we want those OID users to have in the database.
The problem we have is tracking down the individual user in OID, and matching them up to the actual db login used to access the system.
Has anyone else implemented something similar, and come across a solution for this?

If I log into an application, and then try to look for the user in the view you mentioned, I do not see them. In fact, I get 0 results returned:
SQL> select username from v$session;
USERNAME
DBSNMP
FORBESC
DBSNMP
NP_TELE_EMP_USER
DBSNMP
34 rows selected.
SQL> select * from dba_audit_trail;
no rows selected
Is there some setup that is necessary in order to get this view to work?

9i forms/sso - at runtime can I display the current oid user on the form

Hi ,
Is it possible programically retrieve the current oid user name so that I can display this name on the form at run time.
I am also wanting to use the oid user name as a parameter to call a stored procedure inside the form,
is there a built-in to do this ?

OID User not able to login to owc_discussion

Hi,
I have a webcenter content domain (11.1.1.6) with both WCC and owc_discussion up. I have configured a OID authenticator (SUFFICIENT) in my security realm as the first authenticator. I can create users/groups in OID and use them to login to UCM (/cs) or any deployed application. However, i cannot find my users in owc_discussion. Do we have to do the setup as mentioned in http://george.maggessy.com/2009/08/oracle-discussions-configuration.html or am i missing something here.
My assumption was: any OID user will be let inside owc_discussion just as they log into /cs.

In your smoeac transaction you have to suscribe to the object :
Authorization
Authorization1
Authorization 2
User (USERNAME)
If you've these it might be working,
I had the same error message but it's not the id or the password like error message said it's just that customizing for authorization are not replicate as well

here I have two WFS servers and they configured with load balancing in F5 .
when I enable both servers in F5 I receive this error messages in 2nd server,

Do you have antiVirus installed on the sharepoint servers?
These folders may have to be excluded from antivirus scanning when you use file-level antivirus software in SharePoint. If these folders are not excluded, you may see unexpected behavior. For example, you may receive "access denied" error messages when files
are uploaded.

Server 2012 R2 how to view RDP user network use?

Hi All,
In Server 2008 you were able to go into tsadmin, click right on a user and click "Status" which would show their network usage (bytes received, bytes sent).
I noticed in Server 2012, when I check users under Collections this option is no longer there. How can I view a user's network usage?

How to view the Users in the Portal Activity Report

Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to view the Report of users who have logged in a specific time. For Example I would like to view the users who have logged in between 9.00 am and 9.15 am. Is it possible to view mentioning the country name?

hi,
You can certainly do it for hourly basis but i am not sure whether it could be done quarter an hour basis. Also The portal nodes within a cluster can be in different time zones, yet the activity data from all nodes are aggregated together and reported together. To enable the reporting of hourly data from different time zones, portal activity reports display hourly data based on the GMT time zone.

How to create a new user in OWB that can only view other user's mappings

I am new to OWB and want to know if possible to create different users that can only view other user's mappings without making any changes. Do you know if possible each user can have his own password?

I seem to recall as well from the OWB Admin class that existing objects in the repository would need to have the security updated if the additional restricted roles are created after tables/mappings/etc. so that they reflect the new security model.
Also, for individual logins to OWB, each developer would require a separate database login.

Need help in OID user Trusted recon

Hi all,
I am using oim9.1.0.1,oid 9.0.4.7.
When i run the OID user trusted recon it is bringing users based on pagesize.The problem is if i set the page size as 100 then it brought 98 users where as i have 30000 users in my OID.When i set the page size to 1000 it brought 998 users and ended the process.what i didn't understand is why it is not looping again and not bringing all my 30000 records.

Hi All,
I ran the OID trusted recon which brought most of my records from OID.Now i got a requirement to rerun the scheduler one more time,but this time it is not picking the records which it already brought. I changed the recontimestamp to 0 but then also it didn't brought all the records.
Can anyone help me of how i can rerun the trusted recon again which will bring all my records.

WLS not able to login with OID user

I have installed WLS 10.3.3 and had configured a new security realm which had OID as the authenticator . Set the details for the provider (OID) and updated , restarted the server . It was working fine till yesterday and I verified this by logging in to the WLS console with the OID user .
But now out of nowhere the login for OID users have started failing for the applications that are running on WLS . When tested the login for WLS console with the same OID user that is failing as well .
Not sure what to trace and how to figure out what is happening . Have verified that OID is working fine and this was done by hooking up OID to a standalone application and logging in with the OID users to that app.
Any help / pointers would be of great help .

Try enabling sap* user again and once its enabled, use the user to provide yourself the necessary access.

To define view and to make it default
Goto SAP IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales Support (CAS) > Sales Summary > Define Reporting Views (Tcode:OVCD).
To assign default user to the view.
Goto SAP IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales Support (CAS) > Sales Summary > Assign Default View To User (Tcode:OVCC).
To assign Elements of SAPScript "SD-SALES-SUMMARY" to information Blocks To A View use
Goto SAP IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales Support (CAS) > Sales Summary > Assign Information Blocks To A View (Tcode:OVCB).

Blank user displayed in the "Page Views Per user"

Hi everybody,
When I display my Application "Page Views By user" statistic bars digram (by going through
Home>HTML DB Workspace Administration>Monitor Activity>Page Views by User), I have a blank username that is displayed with a certain number of page views. Does anybody know what this comes from?
