View scale apparently incorrect

I have used Illustrator since AI 7 but have recently begun using CS3 on a new Macbook Pro.
This is such a ridiculous issue which I have never experienced before that I reckon there must be something I've forgotten but if so it beats me what it is.
As we all know, Command-1 is the shortcut for Actual Size (100%), I never use the menu for zooms. However, currently the screen image is clearly NOT 100% but something around 75%. Actual Size is checked in the View menu and 100% is displayed in the title bar and at the bottom of the window.
I check the document setup to make sure that I didn't make a mistake there and it's as it should becorrect size in the correct units.
I use the menu instead of the shortcut and the result is the same. The image is definitely NOT 100%.
What have I forgotten guys?

Monitor dot pitch is all over the place these days.
On my Windows machine, AI's rulers view at about 75% "actual size" at 100%. But set Acrobat to "100%" and the zoom measures about 133%.
On my little Acer netbook, with its 8.7" screen, of course,
everything is smaller at "100%". On the newer Acer netbooks, everything will be slightly larger, because those screens measure 10" diagonal, but have the same number of pixels.
Photoshop, of course, display of so-called 100% means one screen pixel for every image pixel--so "100%" is a different size for different resolution images.
It's all much ado about nothing. It's just a matter of what zoom level is zoomed to when you select "100%". No matter how Adobe or any other software vendor sets that zoom, it would still differ on different monitors/computers. I personally
don't want Illustrator using 96 screen pixels to display an inch of the page. I certainly don't want my netbook to display "actual size" either.
I dare say that your never having "encountered" this before is really more a matter of simply not having
noticed it before--which kinda supports that it's really nothing to fret over.

  • How do I change the default setting on  the 'view scale'?

I'll try submitting this a second time - it didn't seem to go through the first time.
I have an iMac G5 (OSX 10.4.4.), my first encounter with Apple. I find that the default size that text displays on screen in the wordprocessing application is too small for my eyes (I ain't as young as I used to be ...). The text always displays in what seems to be about font 8 or 10, no matter what size I set the document font (it will print in the size I set, but not display in it).
I have discovered that I can change the display size by using the 'view scale' tab in the lower left corner of the window. Size 140 suits me just fine. Problem is that I have to change the view scale each time I open a new document.
Can anyone tell me how to change the default setting on 'view scale' ?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
You can create default documents with the settings you want for each type of AppleWorks document. I wrote a user tip, New, blank documents with your settings, that details how to do this.

  • How Adobe viewer scales images?

    Hi,
I am putting a JPEG file of lesser resolution than the PDF and is scaling it inside PDF. I have a doubt how the viewer scales the image while rendering? Is it just pixel replication or can we specify inside PDF to use some filters for scaling to get better quality? Can someone please help me regarding this doubt?
    Thanks,
    Sham

I found the answer myself from the PDF standard. Image interpolation is done if the /Interpolate field in the image XObject is set true. I am quoting from the PDF standard below.
"When the resolution of a source image is significantly lower than that of the output device, each source sample covers many device pixels. As a result, images can appear jaggy or blocky. These visual artifacts can be reduced by applying an image interpolation algorithm during rendering. Instead of painting all pixels covered by a source sample with the same color, image interpolation attempts to produce a smooth transition between adjacent sample values. Image interpolation is enabled by setting the Interpolate entry in the image dictionary to true. It is disabled by default because it may increase the time required to render the image."

  • Error in view images in Oracle I/PM Viewer. scale is not within range

    Hi,
I integrated Oracle IPM 11g with UCM and am able to upload and view the documents through imaging application. The documents are uploaded in Oracle Content Server. The issue is when I upload any image and then try to view it in Oracle I/PM through the Viewer it always give an error:
The requested scale is not within the allowed value range; 1-250
I tried with several images even the smallest possible but always gets the same error. Any other documents i.e. .doc, .pdf etc are working fine. Any ideas on what might be the issue.
    Thanks

If you click on 'Preferences' (top right) and check the value for 'Initial Zoom Level for the Basic Viewer' I would guess it is set to 'Best Fit', 'Fit Width' or 'Fit Height'.
It seems the system sometimes calculated the 'Best' scale is a value above the maximum range (in this case 250).
The solution that worked for us was simply setting this value to '50%'
Hope this helps the next person because it took us ages to work out the problem/workaround.

  • Custome Views Defined Showing Incorrect Data

    Dear All,
When users apply filters -> define and save custom views, they see instances in their defined view which have actually already gone out from the current activity.
This gives them an incorrect picture of the view at any point causing great amount of disgruntlement especially among the managers who need to know how many tasks are there in the queue and accordingly plan for it.
If we go to Internet explorer settings and delete temporary internet files and cookies then it does work and shows the users the correct figure. But every now and then an incorrect view is shown to user and users have to keep performing this irritating activity of deleting cookies.
Can anybody throw light on how best this can be handled and why the problem is occuring in the first place
    Regards,
    Viraj Churi

I've seen this happen with people abruptly close out of a prior view by using the back button having multiple windows open in BPM, or by closing a browser window on a view. You can educate the managers by telling them to not do this, but that never goes over very well, does it...
If this is the problem, you'll need to experiment with various causes, there may be some code remedies for this. I don't have the code handy to show you, but I believe we solved this using <BODY onUnload> or <BODY onBeforeUnload>. You can also try using windows.onclose and Javascript. These solutions are problematic as well and are not always supported on all browsers and versions. I'll see if I can find better code examples later, but you might try to pinpoint what is causing it and focus your solution based on that. (Back-button, or windows closing, etc.) There are also many post on this subject you can find through Google.

  • Metadata absent or apparently incorrect

When I import images from my Nikon D90 I notice some things are missing or incorrect in the metadata. All of them appear correctly in Nikon ViewNX.
    Missing items:
    1. Image quality e.g. RAW or JPG
    2. Image comment as entered in the camera
    2. Color space e.g. sRGB, Adobe RGB
Incorrect items (or possibly I am misreading them)
    1. Flash exposure Comp always shows 0ev, even when there is a flash exposure comp.
    2. Color model shows RGB even though I shoot sRGB.
    3. Profile name shows Adobe RGB (1998).
Has anyone else noticed this? Am I missing something?

    Bill Wilbanks wrote:
    Missing items:

That's not metadata, that's the file format. If you really need to see the file extension/format you can choose a metadata view that shows the master file name.
    2. Image comment as entered in the camera
    No idea on this one.
    2. Color space e.g. sRGB, Adobe RGB
    See later...

    No idea, I don't have a flash.
    2. Color model shows RGB even though I shoot sRGB.
sRGB is not a colour model, it is a specific colour profile within the RGB colour model. In other words, Aperture is showing the coirrect information.
    3. Profile name shows Adobe RGB (1998).
If you are shooting in RAW, the file itself doesn't have a colour profile as such. Like almost all other camera-specific settings such as saturation etc, the camera will set a tag in the file that tells Nikon's software what adjustments to apply when opening the RAW file. Software other than Nikon's will take any notice of these settings because they aren't using Nikon's conversion engine.
So when you have a RAW file in Nikon View and it says sRGB, this doesn't really mean anything - the RAW file can be converted to pretty well any profile, Aperture just defaults to labelling all RAW files as Adobe 98. The place to worry about colour profiles is on export...

  • EntityFramework retrieve the view and has incorrect values?

So the story is I have to use EF with Oracle datababse (lot of things go unsupported for 11c too...) Long story short, I have to create view that is a join product of multiple tables. Using distinct on the ID and Count distinct on something else. I have
something of the following: as a view in the ORACLE database:
    ID     DTG     VALUE
    A       11         2
    B       10         3
    B       10         4
    B       10         5
but when I use EF context to list it out and attach to database, what EF give me is:
    ID     DTG     VALUE
    A       11         2
    B       10         3
    B       10         3
    B       10         3
Note, when I tried to use .Take(5) from the context.MY_VIEW.toList().Take(5), I get one of the values from VALUE COLUMN in the Oracle db view, why is that?

  • Scale 3D annotation views

    Hello,
I tried to export Catia model including annotated views generated with different scales
in A3D the model appeare overload with PMI data and unreadable !!!
Is it possible to edit the view scale's ??
    Thx in advance

    Hello Zifou,
Thanks for the explanation you provide me.
Here is the result of my analysis
the overload annotated view came from that A3D can't retreive the original scale view from CATIA model(V5R17) but set the default scale 1:1
-> This is a not yet supported feature i have opened an Improvement Request, we are working on this issue for a future version of APEX, but nothing has been scheduled yet and I am not able to provide you a date or version for the implementation of the fix
Why the views are duplicated (see tree_views.jpg )it happened on all my Catia models (3 CATpart, 2 CATProduct)
As I remember it was n't the case in PDF 3D V8, no?
-> I guess that for all CATParts of the assembly some Captures Views, Views are available (i suppose that some capture views or views have the same name between some different CATParts that the reason why they seem to be duplicated in fact not duplicated, but just all listed.
In fact without sample a file i cannot indicate you clearly if there is a probleme or not but my opinion is that all CATParts of your assembly contain Captures or views with the same name, in the list box of the A3D toolbar all views and captures views of all available parts are listed...
Let me know if my explantion is clear enought
Regarding Scale view we will keep updated when a fix will be available

  • Report in Designer fast, in Viewer extremely slow

    Hi.
I have a report which connects to a SQL Server backend, calling 3 stored procs which deliver the data needed for the report. However, when I execute the report in the Designer (the web app uses CR 9, but I'm testing it with CR 2008 that came with VS 2008) it takes approx. 20 seconds to return with the data - yes, the query takes rather long...
When I run our web application and call up the same report, using the same parameters and connected to the same database, the Viewer sits there for about 10 minutes before finally showing the report. I've been trying to determine the cause of this but have come up empty so far.
The report itself is a fairly simple report: headers, a parameter overview (the report uses parameterized queries), the data, and no subtotals, no subreports, no formulas.
Why is this taken so long using the Viewer? Apparently it can be fast(er) since the Designer comes within 20 secs WITH the correct data!
I've tried a couple of things to see if I could determine the cause of the bad performance, but so far I've had no luck in improving performance whatsoever. The only thing left would be redesigning the underlying stored proc, but this is a rather complex stored proc and rewriting it would be no small task.
Anybody has any idea on what to do next? Our customers are really annoyed by this (which I can understand) since they sometimes need to run this report a couple of times a day...

Interesting article. Unfortunately, trying several of the suggestions made, it didn't improve the report's performance. No noticeable difference in either Designer or Viewer.

    > Next, determine where is the performance hit coming from? With Crystal Reports, there are at least four places in your code where slow downs may occur. These are:

    > Report load
    > Connection to the data source
    > Setting of parameters
    > Actual report output, be it to a viewer, export or printer
    >
This part is not relevant. Loading the report isn't the problem (first query being executed under 0.5 seconds after starting the report); as I'll explain further at the end of this reply.

    > u2022 OLE object inserted into a report is not where the report expects it to be. If this is the case, the report will attempt to locate the object, consuming potentially large amounts of time.
The only OLE object is a picture with the company logo. It is visible in design time though, so I guess that means it is saved with the report?
    > u2022 The subreport option "Re-import when opening" is enabled (right click the subreport(s), choose format subreport, look at the subreport tab). This is a time consuming process and should be used judiciously.
    The report contains no subreports.
    > u2022 Specific printer is set for the report and the printer does not exist. Try the "No printer" option (File | Page setup). Also, see the following resources regarding printers and Crystal reports;
Tried that. It was set to the Microsoft XPS Document writer, but checking the 'No printer' option only made a slight difference (roughly 0.4 seconds in Designer).
    > u2022 The number of subreports the report contains and in which section the subreports are located will impact report performance. Minimize the number of subreports used, or avoid using subreports if possible. Subreports are reports within a report, and if there is a subreport in a detail section, the subreport will run as many time as there are records, leading to long report processing times. Incorrect use of subreports is often the biggest factor why a report takes a long time to preview.
As stated before, the report has no subreports.
    > u2022 Use of "Page N of M", or "TotalPageCount". When the special field "Page N of M" or "TotalPageCount" is used on a report, it will have to generate each page of the report before it displays the first page. This will cause the report to take more time to display the first page of the report
The report DOES use the TotalPageCount and 'Page N of M' fields. But, since the report only consists of 3 pages, of which only 2 contain database-related (read further below) I think this would not be a problem.
    > u2022 Remove unused tables, unused formulas and unused running totals from the report. Even if these objects are not used in a report, the report engine will attempt to evaluate the objects, thus affecting performance.

    > u2022 Whenever possible, limit records through Record selection Formula, not suppression.
    > u2022 Use SQL expressions to convert fields to be used in record selection instead of using formula functions. For example, if you need to concatenate 2 fields together, instead of doing it in a formula, you can create a SQL Expression Field. It will concatenate the fields on the database server, instead of doing in Crystal Reports. SQL Expression Fields are added to the SELECT clause of the SQL Query send to the database.
    > u2022 Using one command table or Stored Procedure or a Table View as the datasource can be faster if you returns only the desired data set.
    > u2022 Perform grouping on the database server. This applies if you only need to return the summary to your report but not the details. It will be faster as less data will be returned to the reports.
    > u2022 Local client as well as server computer processor speed. Crystal Reports generates temp files in order to process the report. The temp files are used to further filter the data when necessary, as well as to group, sort, process formulas, and so on.
All of the above points become moot if you know the structure of the report:
3 pages, no subreports, 3 stored procs used, which each return a dataset.
    - Page 1 is just a summary of the parameters used for the report. This page also includes the TotalPageCount  field;
    - Page 2 uses 2 stored procs. The first one returns a dataset consisting of 1 row containing the headings for the columns of the data returned from stored proc 2. There will always be the same number of columns (only their heading will be different depending on the report), and the dataset is simply displayed as is.
    - The data from stored proc 2 is also displayed on Page 2. The stored proc returns a matrix, always the same number of columns, which is displayed as is. All calculations, groupings, etc. are done on the SQL Server;
    - Page 3 uses the third stored proc to display totals for the matrix from the previous page. This dataset too will always have the same number of columns, and all totaling is done on the database server. Just displaying the dataset as is.
That's it. All heavy processing is done on the server.
Because of the simplicity of the report I'm baffled as to why it would take so much more time when using the Viewer than from within the Designer.
    > Report options that may also affect report performance:
    >
    > u2022 u201CVerify on First Refreshu201D option (File | Report Options). This option forces the report to verify that no structural changes were made to the database. There may be instance when this is necessary, but once again, the option should be used only if really needed. Often, disabling this option will improve report performance significantly.
    > u2022 u201CVerify Stored Procedure on First Refreshu201D option (File | Report Options). Essentially the same function as above, however this option will only verify stored procedures.
Hm. Both options WERE selected, and deselecting them caused the report to run approx. 10 seconds slower (from the Designer)...

According to that list I'm using a correct version with VS2008. I might consider upgrading it to CR 12, but I'm not sure what I would gain with that. Because I can't exactly determine the cause of the performance problems I can't tell whether upgrading would resolve the issue.

Ensure you only return the necessary data on the report, by creating a Record Selection Formula, or basing your report off a Stored Procedure, or a Command Object that only returns the desired data set.
The amount of network traffic is extremely minimal. Two datasets (sp 1 and 3) return only 1 row containing 13 columns. The sp 2 returns the same number of columns, and (in this clients case) a dataset of only 22 rows, mainly numeric data!
    > u2022 The amount of time the database server takes to process the SQL query. Crystal Reports send the SQL query to the database, the database process it, and returns the data set to Crystal Reports.
Ah. Here we get interesting details. I have been monitoring the queries fired using SQL Profiler and found that:
    - ALL queries are executed twice!
    - The 'data' query (sp 2) which takes the largest amount of time is even executed 3 times.
For example, this is what SQL profiler shows (not the actual trace, but edited for clarity):
    Query                  Start time         Duration (ms)
    sp 1 (headers)      11:39:31.283     13
    sp 2 (data)            11:39:31.330     23953
    sp 3 (totals)          11:39.55.313     1313
    sp 1 (headers)      11:39:56.720     16
    sp 2 (data)            11:39:56.890     24156
    sp 3 (totals)          11:40:21.063     1266
    sp 2 (data)            11:40:22.487     24013
Note that in this case I didn't trace the queries for the Viewer, but I have done just that last week. For sp2 the values run up to 9462 seconds!!!
    > u2022 Where is the Record Selection evaluated? Ensure your Record Selection Formula can be translated to SQL, so that the data can be filter down to the server. If a selection formula can not be translated into the correct SQL, the data filtering will be done on the local client computer which in most cases will be much slower. One way to check if a formula function is being translated into a SQL is to look at u201CShow SQL Queryu201D in the CR designer (Database -> Show SQL Query). Many Crystal Reports formula functions cannot be translated into SQL because there may not be a standard SQL for it. For example, control structure like IF THEN ELSE cannot be translated into SQL. It will always be evaluated on the client computer. For more information on IF THEN ELSE statements see note number 1214385 in the notes database:
    >
    > https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects-notes
    >
Not applicable in this case I'm afraid. All the report does is fetch the datasets from the various stored procs and display them; no additional processing is taking place. Also, no records are selected as this is done using the parameters which are passed on to the stored procs.
    > u2022 Link tables on indexed fields whenever possible. While linking on non indexed fields is possible, it is not recommended.
Although the stored procs might not be optimal, that is beside the point here. The point is that performance of a report when run from the Designer is acceptable (roughly 30 seconds for this report) but when viewing the same report from the Viewer the performance drops dramatically, into the range of 'becoming unusable'.
The report has its dataconnection set at runtime, but it is set to the same values it had at design-time (hence the same DB server). I'm running this report connected to a stand-alone SQL Server which is a copy of the production server of my client, I'm the only user of that server, meaning there are no external disturbing factors I have to deal with. And still I'm experiencing the same problems my client has.
I really need this problem solved. So far, I've not found a single thing to blame for the bad performance, except maybe that queries are executed multiple times by the CrystalReports engine. If it didn't do that, the time required to show the report would drop by approx. 60%.

  • Upgrade Simple Viewer

The "Simple Viewer" website indicates that the viewer will now work with iPhones and other non-Flash enable applications. Yet, when I build a gallery in Bridge using Simple Viewer it does not work without Flash. Is this an upgrade issue? And, does anyone know how to upgrade so that it will work through Bridge?

Well, you are probably correct. It is included with the default installation of Bridge as one of the slide show templates. When you open the output tab in bridge and create a web gallery, there are three "Airtight" options: Airtight Postcard Viewer, Airtight Auto Viewer and Airtight Simple Viewer. "Simple Viewer" is a nice, simple web gallery show that looks good when embedded into a Dreamweaver page.
But, as I said, it only works if Flash is installed. When I went to the Simple Viewer website (via the hot link embedded into the template in Bridge) the description says it works on iPhones and other browsers that do not have Flash installed. So, I was just trying to figure out why it says that, when the version that came with Bridge does not work on sites that don't use Flash.
I'm guessing that Adobe Bridge uses an older version of Airtight Simple Viewer and 1) I am a little surprised that they don't update it since it comes with the default installation of Bridge and 2) since it was installed with Bridge, I'm not sure how to update it even if I download the update file -- I don't know where Adobe Bridge puts the file or what I have to do to update it. The Simple VIewer site allows you to download the product and run it as a separate action, but I did not find any instructions on how to incorporate it into Bridge, so that if replaces/updates the Bridge plug-in.
I was just hoping for some guidance, thinking (apparently incorrectly) that Adobe would offer some support/assistance/guidance for a product they include with their default installation of Bridge.

In the received faxes log screen it still displaces the date/time, number of pages, and from whom the fax is received, I am just not able to view the (apparently) received fax. If I knew what folder on my PC the faxes were stored I would go there to pull up the PDF docs, but I cannot find where this data is stored.
I've also noticed thatI have April 2014 firmware and the latest firmware update is dated August 2014, but after multiple attempts the latest firmware update will not install. It downloads, appears to install, but the config report indicates the newest firmware is NOT installed.
The LJ  1536dnf remains in my local network via eathernet cable, and the printer and scanner components of the MFP function normally. The fax component manually sends faxes and can receive and print faxes in hard copy form.
**PLEASE SOMEONE HELP**  Thank you in advance.

    Hi @SimonSpeak ,
I see that you are having issues opening the faxes from the Toolbox. I will be happy to help you.
    Restart the computer.
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software, just to rule out any interference.
Try opening the Toolbox Software again.
Make sure Adobe Flash is up to date. I believe it piggy banks the HP Toolbox Software.
You can always restore your computer back to a earlier time when everything was working properly. It might have been a update that caused this issue, since uninstalling and reinstalling the software isn't allowing the software to work either. How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC on Windows 8.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
Try updating the printer's firmware by a USB connection. HP LaserJet Firmware Update Utility.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a great day!
    Thank You.

  • Decode statement in Select line of a View Object Query

I attempted to create a view object in expert mode with a customized query.
The query had a decode statement in the select line of the query. The view
object compiled correctly but gave an error when run.
    ex: select .... decode(CrpSchools.SCHOOLS_ID,null,CrpCustSchools.SCHOOL_NAME,CrpSchools.SCHOOL_NAME) SCHOOL_VALUE, ...
    from ....
    where ....
The error was that school_value does not exist in the statement. I got the error when
    doing a vo.executeQuery().
When I removed the decode statement everything worked correctly. Does anyone know if
the decode statement cannont be used in the select line of a query in a view object?
Or maybe I was linking the query column (SCHOOLS_ID) up to the view attribute (SCHOOL_VALUE) incorrectly in the
Attribute Mappings tab of the VO wizard?

There should be no problem using a DECODE() statement, provided that you've aliases the column as you have done.
At design time, if you click on the (Test) button, does your query test ok?
Are you by chance applying a custom where clause at runtime?
    If so, are you saying:
    setWhereClause("yourtable.column_alias = ?";
    or are you doing:
    setWhereClause("column_alias = ?";
for an expert-mode query, you'll need to use the latter syntax.

  • Design view and browser view in DW are different than when I view from local folder

I'm brand new to Dreamweaver CS5.5 and here is my problem:
I've made an html page in dreamweaver with a banner, with an additional graphic and some text on top of the banner.  It displays just fine in every browser when I view from the local folder, but when I open DW and view, it displays incorrectly in all three design, live and browser views within DW.  If I make changes to the css file until it views correctly in design view, it no longer displays correctly from the local folder and it still doesn't view correctly in live or browser view within DW.  If what I'm doing isnt going to display accurately in any of the views provided by Dreamweaver as compared to the live server, whats the point in having this software?  I could just keep building webpages in notepad and uploading with CoreFTP.
Any suggestions?  Is it some setting that I dont know about that I need to change within DW?   Please help.

align="center" is deprecated (obsolete) code in XHTML & HTML5 doc types.  Instead of styling markup with HTML, you should be using CSS.
    CSS
    .center {text-align:center}
    HTML
    <p class="center">some centered text here</p>
With respect to break tags, in XHTML doc types the correct syntax is <br /> not <br>.  However your usage of line breaks is inconsistent with good symantic markup.  Use headings <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> for important keywords.  Use <p> for descriptive paragraphs.  Use <ul> <li> or <ol> <li> for lists.  Line breaks should be used minimally if ever.
XHTML doc types require all tags to be lowercase.  Uppercase tags will throw errors.
Your design is too rigid.  When text size is increased in browsers, your content is unreadable.  See screenshot.
    SOLUTIONS:
    1) DO NOT USE POSITION ABSOLUTE.  You don't need it.  Absolute positioning removes content from the normal document flow resulting in a jumbled mess.  Use default CSS positioning (none) with margins, padding & floats to align elements.
    2) Remove HEIGHT values from all CSS containers.  Height limits a container's capacity to hold more content when needed.  Container height should always be determined by the amount of content it holds; not explicit values.  If required to reveal a background image, for example, use CSS min-height instead of height.

If I change the user agent string in Firefox to that of Firefox 7.0.1 everything works as expected, this implies there is some logic in get_IsNetscape6Up() which is failing because the major browser version as reported by the user agent string is two digits instead of one.
We encountered a similar issue for our legacy pages containing Infragistics 2007 controls but were able to fix that by overriding the System.Web.Configuration.HttpCapabilitiesBase.BrowserCapabilitiesProvider and faking the browser version to 9.80.  Crystal Report Viewer is apparently not using .Net's built in HttpBrowserCapabilities object, is there anything else I can adjust to stop the viewer failing?

    hello Robert
Today must be my day. I already got a reply from PM (normally it takes a "bit" longer...). Anyhow, here is what he said:
With Firefoxu2019s release cycles, I donu2019t think weu2019ll be able to officially support the latest versions
of Firefox at every service release.  We do our best to test the released versions of Firefox
that align with our releases.  I donu2019t know the details but Iu2019ve heard there is a plan in place where
the support team(s) (?) will test the most recent releases of Firefox with whatu2019s currently
shipping by SAP and log bugs as necessary.
(umm, this is my - Ludek note here ) -> news to me re. support doing QA... find out something new every day. Anyhow, continuation of the message from PM:
The current plan for CR for VS2010, the SP3 release (expected in April) will support up to
Firefox 9.  If there are reproducible bugs in Firefox 10 (or higher), then please enter a bug
and escalate and it will be investigated for the next available release.
I'll revisit this once SP3 is out there and do an escalation for Firefox 10 - ok?
