Virtual Machine Cloud - Provider registration failure

Hi,
I've successfully installed the Admin portal on a dedicated server and installed VMM SP1 2012 with SPF on a separate server.
I was also able to register the SPF, but unfortunately, when I try to register the System Centre Provider, I get the following generic message:
"Failed to register VM Cloud provider 'test'" - An error occurred while processing this request".
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Stephane

I have done SPF and SCVMM Integration in KATAL portal more than 10 times, but i haven't faced this error,
SPF registration is done, only issue happens with SCVMM Integration, Am i right ?
or u missed the integration of SPF ? first integrate SPF then SCVMM, it will work , Issue arises because of Permission, make service accounts as local admins
Have u done post installation config from hyper-v nu links ? like make spf-svc as a admin in SCVMM console
spf-svc should be member of 3 local admin groups in KATAL Server
Cross check basic things,
User Access Control set to never notify in All All Servers ( KATAL,SPF and SCVMM)
open windows powershell with admin rights and set execution policy to unrestricted in All Servers ( KATAL,SPF and SCVMM)
Open IE as Administrator and try to Add SCVMM again in KATAL Admin portal.
f System Center Cloud Provider registration failed for VMM Clouds then we can Unregister
the failed system Center Cloud Provider.
For that
Open SQL Instance of Katal Portal, Expand Microsoft.MgmtSvc.Store. Database, Expand Tables
Choose mp.ResorcesProviders, Edit Top 200 Rows and delete systemcenter value
Read mentioned articles, it will help you

  • Error when trying to register VMM as Virtual Machine Cloud provider

    Hello, I have some unusual problem with registering VMM server 2012 SP1 in WAP.
    The error is in WAP application log Windows Azure Log\Mgmt-SVC-AdminAPI:
    ''...An error occurred while processing this request.</message><innererror><message>Execution of command Get-SCSPFStamp2 failed. Cause of the problem: An error was encountered while trying to get one or more Stamps. ErrorCode=CmdletGeneralError

    VMM is not recorded in the SQL database MmgmtSvcStore, table mpResourseProviders as registered server.

  • SAP BW JAVA MCOD vs Standalone BW JAVA on Virtual Machine

    Hello,
    We are implementing fresh BW system on HANA and we are trying to decide whether to go with MCOD approach for BW JAVA or build the BW JAVA (portal) on a standalone virtual machine, please provide some best practices in this area if anybody has seen any performance issues when BW reports are accessed through portal when JAVA is built on standalone virtual machine with SQL database. please provide some pro's and cons based on your experiences.
    Thank you and appreciate your feedback.
    Regards
    Vijay

    Hi Florian,
    as already proposed by your consultant, we performed the upgrade of BI JAVA with SUM followed by the migration to HANA as MCOD with SWPM (as new installation of BI Java by choosing the system copy path) as follows:
    Simply upgrade your BI JAVA on Oracle as usual with SUM.
    Perform a JAVA Schema Export with SWPM (SAP NetWeaver 7.4. SR2 - Oracle - System Copy - Source System - Based on AS JAVA - Database Instance Export)
    Before you uninstall/delete your J2EE Instance, however it's a good idea to back up the J2EE environment - you never know:)
    The uninstall option in SWPM of BI JAVA doesn't work, since it does not recognize any instance numbers, so I have deleted SCS/J environment based on file system. Don't forget to delete also J2ee's profiles in home directory.
    Perform a New-Installation of SCS/J with SWPM (SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR2 - SAP HANA Database - System Copy - Target System - Distributed System - Based on AS Java -
         - SYS Instance
         - Database instance (Attention MCOD: be ensured that you do NOT perform an "Initial Database or Database Tenant"). Migration Export (JMIG): <your export directory>
         - Primary Application Server Instance (also be ensured here: do not choose "initial database")
    - Postprocessing (hdbuserstore, setenv, rsecssfx, etc.)
    If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
    good luck!

  • Provider hosted app in windows Azure cloud Virtual Machine

    Hi
    thanks in advance,
    1. I am having requirement to setup a sitecollections specific to clients with same app installed for each client site collection( as app will act specific to client configuration).
    Thoughts :
    1. Create a provider hosted app or SharePoint hosted app and SharePoint site collections in the same virtual machine in Cloud.
     I am able to achieve high Trust provider hosted app on premise, it is working.
    Can any body suggest my thoughts on the approach is right or wrong. If wrong please suggest me how to achieve this.

    Hi,
    I have a sharepoint online site and Azure Virtual Machine.
    I have developed 4 SharePoint provider hosted apps and I want to deploy the same in office 0365 and App web should in Azure VM.
    So I seek help in terms with understanding the deployment.
    Because Azure comes with its own certificate cloudapp.net and what I find is this is a private certificate so I cannot use it outside.
    Please let me know if I am wrong, I need to buy a third party SSL certificate but doing so can I map it with cloudapp.net domain(which is provided by microsoft). Also Virtual machine is not in the domain. If so then do I also need a wild card certificate
    because I need to deploy 4 apps.
    just to conclude,
    I have SharePoint online site.
    Azure Virtual Machine (can I use the cloudapp.net certificate)
    SharePoint provider hosted apps(4 apps).
    Thanks and Regards Anup Kadam

  • How to enable diagnostics in cloud services and virtual machine

    Hi All,
    I need to enable diagnostics  for cloud services and virtual machine in our

    https://convective.wordpress.com/2014/06/27/using-azure-monitoring-services-api-with-azure-cloud-services/
    Installed azure SDK 2.5 and cloud services instance is not displayed for cloud services in Visual studio 2013. Please provide the steps to enable at run time.
    1) How to enable this diagnostics at run time.
    2) How to enable event logs for cloud and Virtual machine
    3) How to get the event log data's from REST API.
    Please help to resolve this.
    Thanks.
    Regards,

    hi Rathidevi,
    In addition, you could enable diagnostics feature on VM from this blog:
    http://azure.microsoft.com/blog/2014/09/02/windows-azure-virtual-machine-monitoring-with-wad-extension/
    Please refer to it.

  • Virtual network, virtual machine and cloud service

    Hi everyone
    I am new to Microsoft Azure and very confused about Microsoft VM and Virtual network relationship.
    I have a cloud service project created which has two worker roles in it and its deployed to Azure portal successfully, the problem is they need to connect to SQL database (which is on our prod machine outside of Azure) and in the config file of both these
    worker roles I have the cluser IP address added ( I believe its an internal Ip address),
    Now we have a virtual machine and a virtual network created on azure too (Not by me, so I have no idea how that is created)
    Some how I need to connect my cloud service to either the virtual machine or virtual network to get the sql connection going. What do I need to do to make that happen?
    How does the cloud service connect to virtual machine?
    I am so confused .. Please help with this.
    Thanks
    -Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
    Once an Azure VM is created, it belongs to a cloud service.
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/cloud-services-connect-virtual-machine/
    Do you mean that you want to create a VM in a virtual network and a cloud service?
    If yes, please follow the steps below:
    1. Create a Virtual network.
    2. Create a VM and select "create a new cloud service", and choose the virtual network you have created.
    3. After the VM is running, you can create other VMs into that exsting VM, and they will share the same public IP address and in the same virtual network.
    Best regards,
    Susie

  • Should Windows 10 provide ease of use virtual machine to run Android, Windows XP, etc applications

    In Windows 7, I really like the easy access to Windows XP Mode that enabled me to have full compatibility to my older hardware scanner and its software (which I still use today).  Similarly, I love my Z30 Blackberry phone which allows me to run Android
    applications in addition to those from the Blackberry store.
    My suggestion for Windows 10 is to provide a built in virtual machine option (ease of use) that would allow my Windows machine to install and run the multitude of Android applications that are currently available.
    I believe an ease of use feature like this in Windows 10 would become a real differentiator for Windows eco systems, such as Windows Phones and Windows Surface and help promote sales and product adoption.  To me it is another way of looking at the product
    and making it the best in any world...  Kind of like running the MS Office product on a Mac.

    Microsoft Office for Mac was purposefully written for Macs, it doesn't use an emulator to run the PC version. Microsoft earns revenue from the sales of Microsoft Office for Mac.
    You're not going to see Microsoft going out of their way to enable running Android apps on Windows 10.

  • Having trouble with creation of a cloud service with multiple virtual machines using java sdk.

    I am creating a cloud service on azure with 2 virtual machines using java sdk API. Service created successfully.
    My input endpoint details are as follows.
    INPUT ENDPOINTS
    Head : 191.238.144.47:2400
    Head : 191.238.144.47:22
    Node0 : 191.238.144.47:43211
    For Head instance port 2400 is for HTTPS and port 22 is for SSH and for Node0 instance port 43211 is for SSH.
    But I am having problem with doing a ssh on Head instance. Sometimes it works sometimes doesn't. Same problem with HTTPS also.
    I have some application running over there but when i try to access it thru browser sometimes it works but most of the time doesn't. When I restart the instances from azure portal, its works after
    that(not always but most of the time).
    Now I am confused what is going on there. I am creating cloud service and virtual machines using java sdk and setting input endpoints also. After creation of all instances i restart every instance programmatically .
    I am not sure whether restart is required or not. It must be something to do with input endpoints only but not able to get the right thing i guess. When i do the same thing thru azure portal(creation of cloud service with virtual machines and setting up input
    end points) everything works fine but not achieving the result when implementing it by java sdk API. Please help me.

    HI Nithin,
    Thanks for your reply. I am setting the endpoints after creating my instances using update call. Here's the code snippet.
    AzureService aServ = new AzureService(session);
     if(aServ.checkNameAvailability(clusterName)) {
               aServ.createHostedService(clusterName, "dbX cluster");
             // Creating head instance
             aServ.createHead(clusterName, imgName, headType, userName, pswd);
            // Setting end points for head node
             String name = "ssh";
             int port = 22;
             aServ.updateVMInputEndpoint(clusterName, "Head", name, port);
             // Restarting head instance
             aServ.restartVM(clusterName, "Head");
           String roleName = "Node";
           String tmpRoleName = "";
           for(int i=0; i<noi; i++) {
                      port = 43210+(i+1);
                      tmpRoleName = roleName + i;
                   // Creating node instance
                    aServ.createVM(clusterName, tmpRoleName, imgName, nodeType, userName, pswd);
                  // Setting end points for node instance
                   aServ.updateVMInputEndpoint(clusterName, tmpRoleName, name, port);

    I had creative cloud installed in a parallels deskto virtual machine on my mac, I delete the virtual machine without deactivate the creative cloud. after reinstall a new VM running windows 8.1. pro 64 bits, I downloaded the creative cloud installer but it does not install ang give an Error code 72, it is assuming that I already are using the Creative cloud in 2 computer, but itis no the case, how to solve this situation?

    Dave: I did the Microsoft Update two days before this happened, and rebooted as required.  I just created a new restore point and lauched Creative Cloud.  Now I get the famous white screen:
    It just sits and spins (been 10 minutes now).
    Fortunately, I saved away this command (which I've had to use 4 or 5 times already):
    del %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\opm.db
    Unfortunately now, I get this (even after closing the above window):
    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
    So I killed everything that said "Adobe" in the task manager and this time, the command succeeded.
    Fortunately, the current apps seem to still work.  I can't seem to find the "Creative Cloud" app in the applications on my system, but I launched Photoshop CC, told it to look for updates, and got a list of the 5 prgorams that need updates in the Adobe Application manager:
    I will proceed with the updates, holding my breath.

  • How to provide RDP cert file when create virtual machine deployment?

    hi,
    the Azure REST API here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/jj157194.aspx#bk_certificates did not say how to provide a cert for the VM when create it.
    the StoredCertificateSettings let you install the uploaded cert onto the vm, but this does not allow you to replace
    the RDP cert which created by Azure when the VM is created.
    see below:
    the highlighted cert is automatically created by Azure for the virtual machine to secure the RDP connection.
    so when you try to remote to the VM, you will see this error, because the cert used for the RDP on the VM is not installed into the "Trused Root Certification Authorities" on local machine.
    i want to replace the cert that azure automatically created :

    Hi,
    In Azure, this feature is called
    custom data. Currently, you can inject custom data into an Azure VM by using the
    Windows Azure command-line tools (--custom-data).
    I assume that it is not supported in Python API. You can use “custom_data=xxx”
    within “create_virtual_machine_deployment” to check if it works.
    If it is not yet available, please submit your requirement in Azure feedback below:
    http://feedback.azure.com/forums/34192--general-feedback
    Best regards,
    Susie

    Can Creative Cloud be installed on a virtual machine?

    What do you mean?
    Some people with a Mac prefer to use the Windows version of Adobe software, so they install a Windows emulator on their Mac to then run Windows software
    If you are asking about installing on a network server... the answer is NO... the programs are made to install on individual computers

  • Help! Azure Cloud Services and Virtual Machine Web Servers Load Balancing

    I have a cloud service. I have two virtual machines setup as web servers each with IIS installed. I have configured my domain registrar to point my domain name to the cloud service IP address. I also went into the endpoints of each virtual machine and verified
    that I have http port 80 setup on both in a load balanced set.
    I am unable to access websites on either server at this point. DNS propogation site shows "error: token mismatch"...this has been setup since yesterday and still error.
    Can anyone assist me in where I went wrong? Am I confused to how the cloud service should work? I am assuming it will allow me to load balance the two virtual machines in the way I have configured above. Please help!!!!

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting in here.
    We are checking on this issue and will get back at earliest.

  • Diagnostics Data for Virtual Machine and Cloud service

    Hi,
    We have an azure cloud account, contains Virtual Machine(Windows) with worker role and one Web Role. In this setup, we need to collect diagnostics data of virtual machine and cloud service. How to enable the diagnostics data in our setup and How to retrive
    the data
    I have read the below link says diagnostics data stores in WAD Table. How to read the data from table? Is there any query available.
    Or can we get this data from REST API. We need the perfomance data of every 5 min . Please help me to solve this.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh411534.aspx
    Thanks & Regards
    Rathidevi

    Hi,
    You can configure Azure diagnostics by using Visual Studio. Azure diagnostics captures system data and logging data on the virtual machines and virtual machine instances that run your cloud service and brings transfers that data into your storage account.
