  • Writing a WL plugin for netbeans

    Hello all,
I'm currently planning to create a jsr-88 based plugin for the Netbeans IDE. The problem is that I need to have the WL's implementation of the jsr in my classpath. The needed classes are located in weblogic.jar. From the licensing point of view is it possible to extract the needed classes and to integrate them into the plugin?

  • VSS Plugin for Flash Builder 4?

    Hello,
Does anyone know which VSS Plugin is available for Flash Builder 4?
I tried googling, but in vain.
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    Tanu

Finally found the elusive JDT from Galileo Repository - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo/
    Installation steps below:
Installing Visual SourceSafe plug-in for Eclipse:
    1) Download the Eclipse VSS plugin from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vssplugin/
    2) Extract the zip file. Watch out for the duplicate folder (folder-within-folder) when you extract, you do not want this.
    3) Copy the folder “org.vssplugin_1.6.2″ to your Flash Builder 4 plugin folder [“C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\plugins”].
This needs the Java Development Tools. Get it from Galileo:
    1) Open Flash Builder 4 (works for Premium too!)
    2) Help > Install New Software…
    3) At the top of the dialog, click “Add…” to add an update site URL
    4) Specify any name and this URL http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo/ and press OK.
    5) In the table of features, expand “Web, XML and Java EE Development” and select “Eclipse Java EE Developer Tools” [Eclipse Java EE Developer Tools    3.1.1.v200908101600-7_7EGrjFQRwRb4P511ebObS5XZhq]
    6) Finish the wizard
    7) Restart FB4
    8) Now right click your project in Package Explorer > Team > Share, you will be able to see “VSS Configuration Wizard”.

  • Flex plugins for NetBeans and JBuilder

There seems to be plugins only for Eclipse. How about
NetBeans and JBuilder. Eclipse seems to have some serious memory
    leak problems.

well as far as I know JBuilder is based on eclipse platform
so theoritically flex plugin should work.,

    Hi.
Is there any obfuscator plugin for Netbeans?
    Many thanks.-
MarlaOh. To answer your question, try letting any programmer fresh out of school or one that migrated to java from lisp have a crack at your code. Right at the moment Im looking at code like that and no obfusicator could be worse. =(

  • A definitive source for netbeans plugins information

I don't. For the moment it seems too complicated. I follow the MVC pattern when the application is big and try to look at the code of successful projects.

  • NetBeans plugin for portal (Portal Pack Project) and prefered IDE

Does anybody know wheather portal pack 1.0 for Netbeans 5.5 support development process for Sun Portal Server 6 2004Q2? If no - what IDE or plugins I should use to relieve development process for Sun Portal Server 6?

The portal pack produces a standard JSR-168 portlet application WAR file, so yes, it can certainly be used with PS 6 2004Q2. However, to get the WAR file installed, you have to manually run the pdeploy command on the WAR file. For automatic deployment from the IDE, the portal pack uses the JMX interfaces to the portal server that were introduced in PS 7.
Another thing to watch out for is that the portal pack and the portlet container that it uses for testing support an interportlet communication API that was introduced in PS 7. So if you want your portlets to run on PS 6 2004Q2, don't use that API.

  • JavaFX plugin for Eclipse IDE problem with installation

    Hello all,

I appreciate someone is providing "homemade" plugins but when You want design reliable application it is better to use some widely supported solution.
Tom Schindl is the only one person who takes care about this stuff. For me it is not an option :(
I am using Eclipse because my company uses it. I used to Eclipse. However when it comes to test some new technologies form Java world I see problems.
Oracle drives Java development - they launched GlassFish, Netbeans, JavaFX.... etc. Eclipse has to catch up with every new thing but it takes time.
Assuming NetBeans developers are in better situation. Easy Glassfish integration, embeded support for JavaFX....
I don't like to use two IDE's pararelly.
Is there any chance that official plugin for JavaFX 2.0 will be available?
Funny how you rant about all that and still demand answers about Eclipse in the Oracle Java forum.
This has nothing to do with how Eclipse advances; "Eclipse" is only the bare IDE and a minimal set of plugins. Basically everything that you bolt onto it is a third party, or "home made" plugin. Some plugins will be updated quickly, others more slowly depending on how active the developers are. Its just how Eclipse works. At least try this alternative plugin, perhaps it is usable until a better supported solution opens up for Eclipse. Or use Netbeans. Or use command line tools. Be a true engineer - adapt to the situation and get the job done.

  • UML plugin for eclipse 3.0

    hi,
could someone point me in the direction of the best UML plugin for eclipse 3.0,
    where to install it etc...
I did download uml2-1.1M1.zip but I cannot find any documentation on where to install it. I'm not sure if this is the best plugin actually so I don't mean to contradict my original question.
any help would be greatly appreciated,
    thanks,
    jp.

I'm not tied to eclipse, however I like it you see.
Although I do see where your going with this. If NetBeans is enterprise then there is no way I can convince accounts to give me the money.
I've realised through trial and error its painful building applications that have not been designed to a J2EE design pattern such as UML. I have tended to sketch things down and rock and roll.
We are planning to redevelop an application that is currently built with coldfusion using the struts framework and other components. I really want to have this application on diagram first (TOTALLY), before any coding begins. You don't see reusable objects that well when just coding.
Is there a completely independent modelling tool out their for J2EE that is not tied to any IDE as a plugin and is free. This defeats the whole purpose I guess. But I could quite easily import classes into an eclipse project that have been created somewhere else by a UML tool.

    - choose the VSS option and point it to your VSS server

  • Dwonloading GUI plugins for eclipse IDE in fedora

    Hi All,
I have downloaded the eclipse-jee-europa-fall2-linux-gtk.gar.gz. but it doesn't contain the visual editor for doing swing application. can you help me how to download visual editor plugins? I tried to do that but it was not success
    Best
    Kapila

Hi, sometimes installing all the necessary plugins for eclipse to have the GUI editor is complicated, searching for help I found EasyEclipse:
There are several distributions, this one includes the GUI editor and is designed for java desktop applications. Although I prefer NetBeans to eclipse which also has a GUi editor.
I dont use Fedora but I am sure you wont find problems getting easyeclipse installed.
    Good luck!

  • FREEEEE struts/jsp editor plugin for Eclipse

    Hi guys,
I am tired of searching for struts/jsp editor plugin for Eclipse. I tried the trail version for Exadel, My eclipse, Lomboz, but none of them are good enough. I dont want to pay for a plugin.
So I downloaded Netbeans IDE which has good support for struts. But I dont want to change my Eclipse IDE because its much better.
In case you are already using a good struts/jsp editor plugin for Eclipse then please advice me ASAP.
I dont want to type up the code like <html:text or wait for runtime compilation to realize that there is a problem in the syntax. Wouldnt it be a lot better if the IDE help us reduce the development time.
    Thanx

  • Crystal reports for netbeans

Are crystal reports out there for netbeans 6.0?
If anyone knows, please tell me.
    Thanks in advance

    Mr. Cotton.m
I know very well that NetBeans is neither a programming language nor a runtime. I know very well that NetBeans is an IDE for Java Language and specifications (with some other techniques and specifications too). I also know very well that NetBeans ( obviously IDE) is supported by Sun.
    Mr. ejp
I know very well that Crystal Reports is not a product of Sun or any other participating company. I know very well that Crystal Reports is a product of Business Objects SA and it has a website (www.businessobjects.com).
    Now,
For your kind information, I would like to tell you that I have been using Crystal Reports for more than 2 years with Visual Studio .Net. I had found a Crystal Reports package for Eclipse IDE (I assume you know what it is) a year before. So I assume that there could be a Crystal Reports package for NetBeans 6.0 IDE also. I had searched Internet, NetBeans Plugin Pages, www.businessobjects.com and many other websites but all in vein. So, I think that I may get a link or any satisfacting answer from this forum. But, again all in vein.
I would like to make two suggestion that,
    1. DON'T CATCH ONE'S TOUNGE.
    2. LET YOUR NOSE OUT OF ONE'S PROBLEM IF YOU DON'T ANYTHING ABOUT THE ANSWER.Regards,
    Aakash
