Can't find the meaning of the 16 DIP switches in the NI Instrument Simulator documentation for use in RS232.

swish is correct, it can be an array of radio button or a single button. If you have created more than one radio button your will have to use
document.ASCCodeform.acsRadio[x].valuebut if it is only one you will make it:
document.ASCCodeform.acsRadio.value

Yeah, I did. But if I go to settings and change the standard ring tone again, the ring tone for that special contact is still the old standard tone. But I want to 'tell' my iPhone/iPad that this contact should always have the standard ringtone from settings.

Yes, but he doesn't say why it is, unsuitable, for his needs. From what he says, it is perfect for his needs - you can set it for just one day, or any subset of weekdays, you can set it once, or repeat any number of times, or indefinately, it does not have to be the active app to work, and it is free and already included on the iPhone.
Simply set a weekday alarm, set it to repeat M/T/W/T/F, set a weekend alarm to repeat every S/S, and that's it - unless I'm completely misreading the first part of the post.
Given what was posted as desired for the app's function, simple saying the built in clock's alarm is "carp" really doesn't add anything, since by all accounts it does actually do everything that the first part of the post wants.
Unless he wants an alarm function that automagically somehow knows which days to chime and which days to not?

Want to set the logs path in the EM console

Hi All
I have a pure .xml file which show the path of the logs directory.
<fileNamePattern>/opt/orafusion/user_projects/shared/applications/soadomain/MyWay/logs/myWayClient-%d.log</fileNamePattern>
The problem is :
I am not able to define the Log path in the EM console as it is having a special character -%d ..... and because of this i am not able to see the logs in the em ..
-%d indicates the full date e.g. myWayClient-2011-12-29.log
What is required:
I want to see the logs in the EM with date
Please help me with this.... your help will be appreciated

If I understand, you want your plug-in, when enabled, to alter the settings of any other instances of the NI report plug-in such that their reports share the same directory as your plug-in is configured to use.
If so, your plug-in can access and modify the settings of all other plug-in instances. All instances are passed to all plug-in entries point in the plugins array sub-property of the ModelConfiguration parameter. You can iterate through this array. Any element of the array with a Base.SequenceFilename equal to "NI_ReportGenerator.seq" is an instance of the NI report plug-in. Its report options are stored in the element under PluginSpecific.Options.
You can change the report options to what ever you want. Note that the ReportOptions model callback is called from the Initialize model-plugin entry point, so you might want to ensure that your changes are applied after that, so they aren't overwritten. To do that, you could make your changes in the the Initialize entry point of your plug-in, and ensure that your plugin runs last. To make it run last, you could set the FileGlobals.ModelPluginComponentDescription.Default.Base.RunOrder in your plug-in file to a value greater than 0, such as 1.0 (see TestStand Help>>Fundamentals>>Process Model Architecture>>Process Model Plug-in Architecture>>Structure of Plug-in Sequence Files>>Model Plug-in Entry Points>>Order of Entry Point Execution at Run Time).

I want to set default printer settings to be used only for a specific type of application, certain documents. All other print jobs should use a different default setting for the printer.

I am printing a specific document from a web based application. This document need to be printed in landscape. So I would like to set the default settings for this specific printer to landscape. But for all other printers it should be portrait. But this does not seem to work. The browser picks the settings from the standard/default printer and uses this for all print jobs.

I want to set the sound output channel per application.

So iTunes and Spotify via my airport express, but normal youtube videos, or any other mac apps such as Safari via the internal speakers. Can this be set (forced) or do I need to switch manually all the time, by holding down the alt-key and pushing the volume icon?

With the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody there is an adapter that uses the Mini DisplayPort and a USB port to combine video and audio to HDMI. It's only 2 channel stereo not 5.1 Dolby Surround.

If you connect the MacBook using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo sound system if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs or a 3.5mm stereo input plug for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini DisplayPort to HDMI doesn't carry audio unless you have the Mid 2010 model 7,1 and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.

Photoshop CC video: Where is the audio flyout menu? I want to set the audio level of a clip but when I click the little triangle the flyout only offers Motion options, no audio.

I created a video clip by ripping from a (non-protected) DVD & brought it into Photoshop CC for editing. I want the audio to fade in & out but cannot find any audio controls!
The info I've found online says to click the little triangle at the right end of the clip & I should get the audio flyout menu, but all I get is a menu with "Motion" options.
Please help!! Where are the audio options I see on the tutorials?

The audio was indeed in there; I could hear it! But I found the fix:
Some Googling revealed that the timeline video sprites should appear *blue*, not purple as in my screenshot. I'm not sure how that happened, but I scrapped the project & restarted from scratch - and though I can't say what I did differently, this time the video sprite in the timeline was blue, and the audio flyout was there! So it's all good, thanks!

I want to set up Firefox sync from scratch using an account I own that shows as "already in use".

I had a problem with my old Firefox Sync account (from work, using my work email address) and I would like to set up Sync again using my personal account. When I go to try to set up Sync, my only options appear to be "Create a New Account" or "I Have an Account". If I select create a new account, I get stuck because technically the account has already been used (I set up Sync a few years ago using my personal account but never utilized it), even though it is not in use on any of my machines. If I select I have an account, it wants me to sync the device with another, but I don't have another to sync to. I want to use my already existing account to set up Sync from scratch on my main machine. How can I get this done?

If the keyboard and mouse are wired, then a USB KVM switch will work.
If they are wireless, you should be able to connect the wirelessly via Bluetooth settings. discover the same keyboard and mouse on each iMac.
However, you cannot use them on each iMac simultaneously. I think it would be rather difficult for you to switch between them (disconnecting and reconnecting them over and over again).
Most iMacs come shipped with a keyboard and mouse by default. How come you only have one keyboard?
Keyboards and mice are not that expensive either.

Why ist it impossible to set the instrument housing size and bounds programmaticaly?

Dear LV enthusiasts,
I have a slightly old project from LV 6. Since this time I am using the
oppurunity to set and change the housing size and bounds of
indicators at runtime. This is a very nice feature. Using this I am
capable to have a user defined window with moveable and resizeable
indicators.
Within LV 8 I noticed that this feature is gone. all the properties that
change the size of the control are read only.
I am very disapointed about the loss of functionality in the new versions.
Its a real handcap for the development of new software versions.
Is it possible to have this properties with read / write again?

Try to use the bounds insted of the housing size
As far as I can remember, the Bounds property has always been read-only (hence notes in the KnowledgeBase like Bounds Property of Front Panel Objects is Read-Only.)
Could you have been using something else in your old project?
