War not running on managed server but run on admin

Hi,
WLS 10.3.1 , application deploy on admin runs successfully but doesnot runs when deployed on managed server.
netstat show when access via browser the managed server show connection status as FIN_WAIT_2 but established when accessing via admin.
any idea why?

To understand your problem can you let us know
- If you are using any proxy between the client and WLS.
- Is this happing with only one managed servers or all the managed servers.
- What is the basic difference with you try to access the same application when it is deployed on Admin sever and Managed server.
- Does the response comes from the server (MS) after sometime or its stuck and you do not get any response, and if you do not get it then what do you error do you get if any.

    Srinath is 100% correct.
    If the deployment failed, then there will very likely be some mention in the log.
    You state that you checked the log, but you didn't mention whether you found an error, no error, a successful startup, etc. you are providing painfully few details to assist.
    I would bet if you posted your .log and .out logs to Pastebin.com - #1 paste tool since 2002 and provided us links, We would be able to point out the error.
    Lacking that information, my best advice would be to re-install and double-check you're completing all steps in the correct order.
    Also, be sure to always search the product documentation first, the search this forum. For basic issues (e.g., standard installation), there is a high probability that someone else has asked that question.

  • Trying to run the SOA/BPM managed server withOUT running the Admin server

    (This is for demo/development purposes... Using 11.1.1.4 in Windows 7 with 4gb)
    Because of memory constrains I am trying to run the BPM/workspaces application without needing the Admin to be running.
    When they both run, I can use the credentials I create with the Admin server but the response time is prohibitive and all my memory is used...
    It seems to run much faster when only the bpm managed server is running but then I cannot login ...
    So my question is simply: Whats the easiest way to set it up so I can use credentials elsewhere without requiring the admin server to be running?
    ( I could connect to an OID instance I have outside this server or the seeded demo they refer to in other posts ... but do these also require the admin server to be running???)

    I don't know if what you want is possible. Only did a suggestion that works fine for me. I'm running SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11.1.1.5 on WLS 10.3.5
    Configure a new WLS domain and see if the BPM Dev template is available in your version.
    I've tuned my startup script (setSOADomainEnv.cmd) as follows:
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS%
    set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx1024m
    set PORT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms1536m -Xmx1536m
    if "%JAVA_VENDOR%" == "Oracle" goto OracleJVM
    set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=%DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS% -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
    set PORT_MEM_ARGS=%PORT_MEM_ARGS% -XX:PermSize=256m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
    Use visualvm that's available from your jdk/bin directory to monitor your jvm and optimize it accordingly

    Run software up date, write down the update name and version. Go to the Apple site and do a search for the updates one at a time and download them one at a time. Use an ethernet connection, sometimes software update "crushes large updates. I have experienced this before.  Hope it helps.  ATB

    Don't start the admin server as managed. Removing
              -Dweblogic.management.server...
              from the command line should help.

  • Query runs in management studio but not in SQLAgent job

    I have the following query which runs fine in Management Studio but when I put it in a SQLAgent job it fails saying
    Error formatting query, probably invalid parameters (SQLState 42000 Error 22050)I have tried changing Quote characters but to no avail.
    Does anybody have any idea why this would be happening?

    I have another SQLAgent job that is almost identical in what it does, ie sending an email with a query result and it works fine. See below.

    I am using WLS 7.0.1.0 SP1 runing on Windows 2000. I have setup a node manager, Admin server and Managed Server as Windows Services. Admin Server has -delaySeconds as 2min. Manager Server(MS) has been made to depend on Admin Server start. When I boot my machine, all the three services come up properly. I can access my application which is running on MS properly. But for some reason the Admin Console doesn't show the MS as running. If I use the Admin Console now to start up MS all it does it "Reconnects to the admin server" since the MS is in started state. What is the reason for this

    It could be the ordering dependency and the rediscovery of the MS by the AS.
    An AS has a notion of where MS's live on disk and it could be an issue with
    AS bouncing in between MS's constant state of upness.

  • How to run a managed server on a different physical server?

    Hi,
    A) I have the following configuration:
    1) Server A:
    Weblogic software with domain is installed.
    MachineA (ListenAddress=localhost, port=5556)
    NodeManager(port=5556)
    AdminServer (Uses MachineA, port=7001)
    ManagedServer01 (Uses MachineA, port-7002)
    ManagedServer02 (Uses MachineA, port-7003)
    2) Server B:
    Weblogic sofware with domain is installed.
    I wish to have ManagedServer11 running on ServerB, and be started/stopped using the Node Manager running on ServerA.
    B) My questions:
    1) Where to create ManagedServer11, on ServerA ot ServerB?
    2) What properties should give to ManagedServer11?

    You'e going to have to start the managed server with the node manager located on the same host. You can still control using the admin console but you'll have to configure a machine for each physical host in the cluster.
    The Pack & Unpack utility makes the domain configuration on the second host easy.

  • Running Weblogic managed server as Windows service

    i'm using Weblogic 6.0 SP2 and i'm trying to run Managed Server as windows
    service (i'm using Win2k). I use a pretty long CLASSPATH in order to run my
    WebApplication and it looks like beasvc.exe truncates my CLASSPATH - that
    way my application wouldn't work.
    Is there any workaround to my problem ?

    Windows has a command line limitation of 2K.
    Since you invoke beasvc.exe from command line, it will obviously get's
    truncated
    1)
    One work around will be to set the registry manually after invoking
    the beasvc.exe
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
    <service-name>\Parameters
    Alter cmdLine parameter to include everything. After this if you start
    the service, it should work.
    2)
    Put all the classpath in a file called C:/temp/foo.tmp (since classpath is
    long)
    Invoke beasvc.exe with cmdLine set as
    -cmdLine:... -classpath "@C:/temp/foo.tmp ...
    Since jvm pulls the classpath from the file, this should also solve your
    problem.
    Sun VM's support this feature as of 1.2 and above.

    Hi ,  
      This is a sort of performance issue , because your program takes more than the max time set for the program to execute in foreground.
    There are many stuff in program which will hamper your performance.
    I will list down a few
    1. SELECT *
    FROM konp
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE konp_itab
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN a363_itab
    WHERE knumh EQ a363_itab-knumh
    in this statement you are using for all entries a363_itab , but before this statement you are not checking if the table has any entry or not , please do remember that for all entries has this characterstic , that if you internal table does not contain any record , then all the records are selected from the database table. So in this case if you table a363_itab is empty , so what you want is no data must be seelcted from table konp , but what will happen is all the records in KONP will be seelcted.
    2. While retreiving data you are using seelct * even though you do not require all the fields , an example is
    <b>SELECT *
    FROM mkpf
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE mkpf_itab
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN mseg_itab
    WHERE mblnr EQ mseg_itab-mblnr.</b>
    in this your internal table contains only 2 fields
    <b>mblnr LIKE mkpf-mblnr, "Number of Material Document
    bldat LIKE mkpf-bldat, "Document Date in Document</b> , but to get these 2 fields you are selecting all the fields of the table.
    3. In select you are using into corresponding fields of table , it is not a good practice., so please avoidd it.
    Please understand that you must try to reduce the access to your database tables and try to keep it minimal , because this same thing may happen becasue data in DEV is very less compared to the volume of data in production , so a program working in DEV will take much more time in PRD if not written properly and may result in timeouts , as in your case.
    Please try to make chanegs to the prorgam and see if it works.

  • Help me! why can not start oracle management server?

    maybe for my shutdown and startup database abnormal for several
    times,now the server oracleorahome81management server can't start
    and while i logon to enterprise manager console,it show me a
    error as follow
    "vtk-1002:The Oracle Management Server you are trying to connect
    to is still in the process of initialization. Please wait for it
    to start up completely and then try logging in again"
    the error also when i restart my machine.
    and,the configuration assistant can not logon to database.
    but sql*plus,sql worksheet can work normal.

  • Certreq -submit run locally returns successful but run remote via invoke-command hangs

    Good morning I have been struggling with a certificate request script.
    The requesting server is in the dmz and I have a management server internally.
    I successfully create the Inf file, as well as the req file then copy the req file to my internal management server. Once copied internal I attempt to run the following command from my laptop executing as my admin account

    $managementServer = "InternalServer"
    $Path = "C$\Test\CertRequests"
    Invoke-Command -ComputerName $Managementserver -ScriptBlock {param($CertificateAuthority,$FQDN,$Managementserver,$Path) certreq.exe -submit -attrib "CertificateTemplate:DVNOfflineComputer" -config "$CertificateAuthority" "\\$Managementserver\$Path\$FQDN.req" "\\$Managementserver\$Path\$FQDN.crt"} -ArgumentList $CertificateAuthority,$FQDN,$Managementserver,$Path
    This exact command pasted into a powershell window locally on the management server returns the crt file.
    Run via invoke-command just hangs forever. I even tried to the Silent=True in inf file as well as -q but neither worked.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Authentication denied: Boot identity not valid for Managed Server

    Weblogic 8.1 SP4. Solaris 2.8.
    Initially, I only had the admin server in my domain. My application was targetted to the admin. Eventually, I created a new managed server so that my application would be targetted here and my admin server would just be dedicated to its admin tasks. I tried starting my managed server for the first time using the standard startManagedWeblogic.sh -
    I get this:

    Starting the admin server is fine and it uses the same boot.properties file in my root directory (user weblogic). But when I start my managed server instance (which is in the same root directory), it complains about the boot.properties ! I assume it uses the same boot.properties file. Any insights ? Thanks.

    You should know the right username and password, so you have to edit boot.properties by hand.
    Remove user and password entry and re-insert them.
