Warning in Deployment of EAR in AS Java Server

Hi,
I am getting below exception while deploying a particular EAR.
Description:
          1. Warning exception has been returned while the [cnfg_fed_ear] was starting. Warnings:[
Warning occurred on server 3226150 during startApp of cnfg_fed_ear : Cannot load servlet. Error is: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: there is no message configured for the property key: log appenders
Result
Status:Warning
Following this exception, the depending EAR r facing exception.
What is the probable reason

Hi,
NW app server, verifies the web application(EAR/WAR...) during deployment.
The warning you are getting is due to error in your web application. please check [here|http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/1.4/api/javax/jms/Message.html]
if you still have some doubt about NW itself, try deploying simple Hello world web app see if you still facing the issue.
Good luck,

  • How to deploy an Ear File into Weblogic Server

    Hello,
i have created an ADF application successfully and make it as an EAR file.
How can we deploy that EAR file into weblogic server..?
    Let me know step-by-step procedure.
    Regards.

    Hi,
Steps to deploy EAR file on Weblogic server:
    1) login to http://<hostname>:<port>/console
    2) Go to deployments and then install your ear on weblogic server.
Also you will need to create a data source with same name as given in your Application Module.
Following link contains steps for data source creation - http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.html ( section - "Configure a JDBC Data Source")

    Hi,
I need to deploy an IBM EAR to Oracle Application Server 10G. When i'm trying to deploy I get this message.
Deployment failed: The evaluate phase failed. The Adapter used in the evaluate may have thrown an exception.
    Resolution:
    Please call Oracle support.
    Base Exception:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

    Thanks
    Edited by: 919027 on Mar 6, 2012 2:39 AM

    Giuseppe,
It appears that this EAR utilizes Apache Common Logging and the following import might have been uses in some of the java classes.
    import org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory;
I don't think these can be deployed in Oracle 10gAS as is.

  • Error in deploying p6.ear on WebLogic: java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid entry CRC

    Hello,
We're trying to install Primavera EPPM 8.3 and test it on our server but having troubles in deploying p6 application.
We have successfully installed the following prerequisites:
    - WebLogic 11g
    - JDK1.7.0_45 and setting JAVA_HOME path=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45 in enviornmental variables
    - Downloading wsdl4j-1.6.2.jar for web services
    - Running the setup.exe file (located in PEPPM path\Disk1\install\setup.exe
    - Successfully finished the setup and running the Configuration Wizard.
    - Successfully created the database using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database
    - Successfully creating a new WebLogic domain.
    - We didn't install BI publisher nor any content repository ( would this affect running the primavera application? )
    - In the configuration wizard summary we can see everything is marked successfully except the "Start Web Logic" step it showed an error and a message indicating that we should start it manually ( however, the domain is successfully created ).
Next, we run the startWebLogic.cmd file in our new created domain, then we run startNodeManager.cmd from WebLogic common/bin directory.
We can access the WebLogic administration panel successfully but no "p6" application in the deployments.
So, we click "install" then open the p6 directory and deploy it without errors.
But when when starting the P6 server and then try to start p6 application, it failed with the following error message:
java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid entry CRC (expected 0xa0a67af0 but got 0xef73b950)
Can you please help us to solve this? Please note that every other deployment is running correctly except p6.

The cause of errors was a dying Westen Digital drive, specially the 48G partition reserved only for $ORACLE_BASE (/dev/sdb3 mounted on /opt/oracle).
A simple quick scan of unmounted partition (badblocks -v /dev/sdb3) reported more than thousand new bad blocks (compared to the last scan six months ago). Although I strongly believe, specially in the case of WDC drives, that the best utility to "repair" bad blocks is the one that opens a window and prints the message: "Go to the nearest shop and buy a new drive", I was very curious to prove my suspicion just on this drive. After zero-filling the partition with dd, then formatting it (mke2fs -cc) and mounting again, the 11g installation and database creation (on the same partition) successfully completed, performing fast and smoothly. To make sure it was not a casual event, I repeated the installation once again with full success. The database itself is working fine (by now). Well, the whole procedure took me more than four hours, but I'm pretty satisfied. I learned once again - stay away from Western Digital. As Oracle cannot rely on dying drive, my friend is going tomorrow to spend a 150+ euro on two 250G Seagate Barracudas and replace both WDC drives, even though the first drive seems to be healthy.
In general there is no difference between loading correct data from good disk into bad memory and loading the incorrect data from dying disk into good memory. In both cases the pattern is damaged. For everyone who runs into the problem similar to this, and the cause cannot be easily determined, the rule of thumb must be:
    1. test memory and, if it shows any error, check sockets and test memory modules individually
    2. check disks for bad blocks regardless of the result of memory testing
Therefore I consider your answer being generally correct.

  • Deploying an EAR file to Oracle Server

I went thru the documentation and created an EAR file but when we try to deploy it we get the following error: Application1.ear file – error on upload:
Failed in uploading archive. Invalid archive file: unexpected EOF
I have searched the forums and chat rooms trying to find a solution. Can anyone suggest something. Thanks.

    Hi,
did you create it with JDeveloper and if, which version. Did you create a WAR file first or an EAR file straight - in which case probably its missing the Web application. How did you deploy it? From JDeveloper or with OC4J or ApplicationServer Enterprise Manager?

    Kind regards,
    Martin Gerritsen

    Hello Martin Gerritsen,
This is Arti from the PM team.
It seems to me that the brms facade has not yet started in your application server. You can check whether it has started or not by doing the following -
You need to access the JavaEE Applications running on your AS. To do this -
    1. Open the nwa portal
    2. Navigate to Operations Management > Systems > Start & Stop > Java EE Applications
    3. Search for the brms related applications available on the server.
In case the applications have not yet been started, please try to manually start them. If you still have problem in starting the BRMS facade please contact me.
I will send across to you a fresh set of SCAs which you can deploy into your server to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Arti

Are you saying that you are successfully using a directory name of
<something>.war in WL 8.1xx? I continue to get the error you mentioned. I
suspect that it is a bug in WL. You will notice that the stack trace goes
through java.util.ZipFile. This makes me think that WL is supposing that the
archive is jar'ed instead of exploded.

i hope you might have deleted/undeployed the .ear file before deploying
    as in
    exploded form ?

Can you pelase tell why this error is cuming?

    hi,
there is some problem with the java proxy code which you have deployed on the server.
You are getting class cast exception ie some part of code is obselete or you are not casting the classes properly.you can see
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/ClassCastException.html
    http://www.jspwiki.org/wiki/A2AClassCastException
you first try to do a standalone testing of your code and see whether its working fine.
And you try and deploy the code on a decentral adapter engine via visual admin(if you are having a decentral adapter engine).

  • Errors when deploying application to a remote WebLogic server using Eclipse

I'm using Eclipse with OEPE for WebLogic 10.3.5 on linux and running a weblogic server versioned the same.
I've created a new EAR which combined several EARs that I had, and deployed it on my local server using the 'servers' tab in Eclipse. It went well.
When I tried to deploy the EAR into my remote server, I got the exception:
Application archive not found : myworkspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.projects/MyEAR/beadep/remote_weblogic/MyEAR/split_src.ear
This also happens when trying to deploy the EAR to a server that runs on my computer but configured as 'remote' in Eclipse. This does not happen for any other application of mine.
Next thing I tried is to update my Eclipse OEPE and server to 12.1.1, so I've downloaded the two, installed them both as new, and now when I'm looking for remote servers in the Eclipse, instead of writing the server status (republish/synchronized) it writes:
User: myuser, failed to be authenticated
I'm lost. How can I deploy my application with Eclipse OEPE to a remote weblogic server?
