WatchedFolder Startpoint not writing documents in results...

Hi all,
I have a simple process with an WatchedFolder startpoint that picks up TIFF files and should convert those to PDF Files and save them in the results folder.
To do this I have created an Input variable of type document and an Output variable of type document. The "Create PDF" service operation follows the WatchedFolder startpoint. The "Create PDF" service "Input Document" is the same input variable and the "Created Document" is the defined output variable.
When I put TIFF files in the input folder on disc, the process picks up the documents, however converted documents are not stored in the "result" folder. Also there is nothing in the "failure" folder.
Am I missing something here to make sure the converted documents are stored in the "result" folder?

Nevermind, it was my own problem.
I forgot to restart the service in the AdminUI after modifying it in the Workbench.
The process works fine now...

Xformbuilder error ... Could not save document Name/Name-Schema.xml

Hello everyone,
We're using 7.00 SP14 and I have a problem with the xml forms builder on one of our systems. We're having a 3 system landscape - all three are on the same patch level etc.
I was able to create a new xml form on one machine, unfortunately it doesn't work on our P-system. I tried to create a new form as well as copied an existing one - with the same error result.
While saving a project the following errors appear:
The following error occured when saving the schema: Could not save document Name/Name-Schema.xml. Reason: Operation is not supported
The project could not be saved on the server. Do you want to save a local copy?

Okay I just found out that it's not possible to create a new folder in KM under xmlforms. That's working on the other 2 systems quite well. I have all the admin roles but somehow somewhere somewho must have restricted that. We found out that ice, etc, runtim, entry points and maybe even a few more aren't setup to create new folders in there. Does anyone know where/how to change that? It doesn't work with Details - permissions etc.

Security Update 2012-001 Bricks Rosetta programs
I've outlined the restore proceedure here, it covers a lot of bases and explains what is going to occur so please don't be intimidated it's a LOT easier that it appears.
Take your time and comprehend the steps involved and you'll be backup up like before in short order.
Restore method.
#1 Backup your personal data off the machine.
If you get a gray screen or some other hangup upon booting, try holding the Shift key down while booting to enter Safe Mode.
Backup files off the computer (not to TimeMachine). If you don't have a external drive, get one and connect to the USB/Firewire port and simply drag and drop copy your User folder to the external drive, it will copy all your files. It's best to have two backups of your data off the machine when trying to restore.
Disconnect all drives now to prevent any mistakes from occuring.
#2 Try Restoring from a TimeMachine or hold option bootable clone
If you have TimeMachine drive, or a hold the option key bootable clone use that to erase and restore from before the Security Update occured.
Obviously if you didn't make a recent backup before the update, your going to have to skip to Step #3.
Note: A TM restore can take a awfully long time, a clone restore takes under 2 hours in most cases.

#3 Reinstall OS X 10.6 from disk
If no recent TM or bootable clone then:
Get out your 10.6 install disk and make sure it's clean and polished (very soft cloth and a bit of rubbing alcohol, no scratches) If your disk is borked, you'll have to order a new one from Apple with your serial number.
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk (wired keyboard, internal optical drive), use Disk Utility First Aid to >Repair Disk and Permissions of your internal drive (do not format or erase!!), Quit DU and simply re-install 10.6.
Note: Simply reinstalling 10.6 version from disk (without erasing the drive) only replaces 10.6.8 with 10.6.x and bundled Apple programs, won't touch your files (backup anyway) or most programs, unless they installed a kext file into OS X itself. (only a few on average do this)
Note: If Disk Uitlity can't repair the drive, then come back to seek further assistance and make sure you have a copy of your data off the machine.
#4 Update to 10.6.8 without Security Update 2012-001
Reboot and log in, update to 10.6.8 via Software Update, but EXCLUDE THE Security Update 2012-001 by checkinig the details and unchecking the blue check box.
#5 Reinstall any non-working third party programs
When you reboot, make sure to reinstall any programs that require kext files installed into OS X, you'll know, they won't work when you launch them or hang for some reason.
If for some freakish reason you get gray screen at any time when booting (possible it might occur when you reinstall older programs), hold the shift key down while booting (Safe Mode, disables kext files) and update your installed third party software so it's compatible with 10.6.8.

Note: You may see a "hack" for this issue floating around, it has had mixed results as people's software is different.
You may want to try it, but it's at your own risk. It has worked fast for some and not at all for others, hopefully over time it will work for all.
The above methods I outline are Apple approved restore methods + based upon experience here and not a quick fix, but are sure to work as Apple recommends such steps themselves.
If at any time you feel this is beyond your capability, please seek local Mac/PC professional assistance before you lose your data.
In fact my steps above are very simple, you might want to have a family member or friend perfrom the proceedure in about a hour or two.
If you don't have any backup, please maintain at least a TM drive, just hook up a new blank external drive and TM will ask you to make a backup, takes some time so let it work.
If your a bit more skilled, a option bootable clone is much superior than TM drive.

make document over two times in same class. I modified sample

Could not save document

I'm using GoLive CS2 v. 8.0.1
Mac OSX 10.6.7 on a Mac Pro w/ two Quad-core Xeon
I opened my site, made a small change, and when I tried to save the site, I received this error message: Could not save document, OS Error (-36).
When I try to re-open the same site, I'm told the site cannot be read. When I open the backup site, the change I had made is visible but I cannot save this backup site either.
Opening previous copies of the site from another disk gives the same results; I can open the site, make changes, but can't successfully save the site without corrupting it.
I've been using the same version of GoLive successfully for several years, modifying the same site, and now it suddenly cannot save the site.
I updated to OSX 10.6 last December, and have used GoLive successfully since then. I don't recall when the system did the update to 10.6.7 and am not sure if I used GoLive since that happened.
Does this sound like a corruption of the application software? If so, is my best course of action just reloading the software?
Is there some compatibility problem between GoLive 8.0.1 and OSX 10.6.7?

I'm a photographer, not a website writer, and only learned enough GoLive a few years back to write my site and maintain it. I seem to remember that GoLive was replaced by Dreamweaver (Adobe gave me a copy of it along with GoLive) and my impression is that GoLive is no longer being updated and therefore more problems might crop up as operating systems and hardware evolve. (I could be wrong, since I don't follow web software developments.)
Back to your original comment about wanting to stick with GoLive CS2. If for some reason I wanted to transition to another software in the future, is there a standout choice for me? Keeping in mind that I don't really use it that often, and would prefer spending the least amount of time relearning things.
What is the majority using these days?
Also, if I did switch software, would I have to re-write my site from scratch, or could the existing site be 'ported' over to the new software?

How to prevent Mac OS X's Finder not to show search results from other accounts?

How do I have Mac OS X 10.8.3 not show searched file results, on Mac, from other accounts with a standard account? I noticed a standard account found files (test.txt in an admin account in a standard account) and can open them! :O

Interesting. I didn't want to use Apple's default folders. I want to make my own. I tried chmod -R 700 on my account and that seems to work. Is that enough? I don't see Staff anymore through Get Info.

Function used in SQL query not showing the desired results

BUT if I user the function it gives me no results

However, I would expect it to be easier not to wrap all this into a function and just have your IN clause be the logic in your predicate_cidn cursor.

Not writing to file

Hi,
I have made a program that reads a string, converts it to bytes, then writes to a file.
Well i got the first two working, but its not writing to file. I know it should work cos i have written to file on my previous tests, but when i used a FOR loop it stoped working. Do ya know why. Below is the code...

Field posting period is not a document property

Hi Team
We are attaching comment for every manual adjustment.
While one of the user posted entry in the pervious preiod and upload comment also.
Now in this month he did some changes in comment file.
After that he try to see the attachment for manual adjustment posted are not visable and it shows message "Field posting period is not a document property".
Please help me how to fix this.

I'm trying to print from wirelessy from my MacBook Pro (OS X Mountain Lion) to a P1102w printer without success.
The error message is:

How to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?

Hi,
I have created one project assigning different users in Solution manger. I want to risitrict some of the users to change the project structure but simultaneously allwoing the project documents to be created, edited or deleted using solar01 under Project documentation tab. For that I have followed the steps provided in the follwoing link.

I am able to restrict the users to change the project structure, but I am not able to allow access to the project documents. It gives me the message "You are not authorised to change the project". This fulfills my one of the requirements. But, Is there any way to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?. Any help will be apperitiated.

Basically there are 2 different authorization role ...you should look for and customize as per requirement in Z* namespace.
role - SAP_SOLAR01_ALL
this take care of objects in Solar01 like tab access etc
role -SAP_SOL_KW_ALL
this takes care of entire documentation within solman

Adobe Reader 9.3.3 will not display documents w/ OS 10.6.4 Any Help?

I have a new MacBook Pro w/ OS 10.6.4. & Safari 5.0.1 Right out of the box Adobe Reader would not display documents. I downloaded Adobe Reader 9.3.3 & installed. When attempting to see pdf files on Safari OR pdf files on my hard drive, all I will get is a dark grey screen. Blank. No message. No errors. My older G4 iMac has no problems. Only the Mac Book Pro with latest OS. I noticed that the Adobe web site listed version 9.3.3 available for Intel Mac OS 10.6.3. I also uninstalled Adobe then tried new download/installs several times, rebooting system after each uninstall and download. Does anyone have any idea what the issue is and how to fix it?

Carolyn: I was able, through more research in the discussion groups, to find a solution that resolved my problem! In the HD>applications folder>safari>get info I checked the "open in 32 bit mode" box. Then I went to Adobe Reader>preferences>Internet and unchecked the box "display PDF in browser using" [Adobe Reader 9.3.3]. I then closed my Safari Browser, restarted the computer and, happy days are here again! On my older G5 I only had to set the preferences on the Adobe Preferences, as Safari 5.0.1 only appears to work in 32 bit mode, as the 32 bit mode check box was not there. You may want to pass this on to other users with the same or similar problems.
