Way to pass JVM Args to JAXB SchemaGen ANT Task?

I'm getting the error when trying to use the schemagen ant task
java.lang.LinkageError: JAXB 2.0 API is being loaded from the bootstrap classloader, but this RI (from jar:file:/irad/glassfish/lib/webservices-rt.jar!/com/sun/xml/bind/v2/model/impl/ModelBuilder.class) needs 2.1 API. Use the endorsed directory mechanism to place jaxb-api.jar in the bootstrap classloader. (See http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/standards/)I am trying to figure out how to pass the
java.endorsed.dirs jvm args to the schemagen ant task
I tried the
<sysproperty key="java.endorsed.dirs" value="path to jaxb-ri.jar" />
but still go the same exception

Not on the web page. Would you want other peopleto
be able to do this on your machine?
On the client machine you can set these things onthe
java control panel.I dont want other people to be able to do this on my
machine.
I want to be able to increase the memory as my app
needs it when it is running. Normally I do this with
-Xmx. Now same app is being made available to the
client using applet. How do I tell client's java vm
to use extra memory?YOU can't. That's his point. He meant "would you like someone else to be able to make such changes to your machine, via a web site?"

  • Passing extra compiler options to flexunit ANT task?

    Hi,
    Is there a way to send any extra compiler options to the <flexunit> ANT task?
    I'm using conditional compilation and compilation (mxmlc) is failing from the <flexunit> task:
    "Error: Access of undefined property DEBUG.
    CONFIG::DEBUG {"
    I tried sneaking "-define+=CONFIG::DEBUG,false" in with one of the other compiler options you can set on the <flexunit> task, but that just doesn't work or results in a validation error like this:
    "One of the directories specified as a 'testSource' element does not exist."
    Let me know if this is possible at all.
    Thanks,

    Not late at all! I think a response within a day on a forum is quite fast!

    I thought I had captured this on the wiki, but it looks like I haven't, so thank you for the heads up.
    I'll also update the wiki @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Ant_Task to be more detailed regarding compilation so other don't have to dig.
    Did you just do an update on that Wiki page or did I completely miss the part that explained the <flexunit> parameters?

    In 4.2, which is super pre-alpha right now, I've added support to accept a series of flex-config.xml files provided by the user.  Not sure if conditional compilation can be tackled with a custom flex-config.xml file, but if so then that'd be the feature that may help you.
    Yes, being able to add (+=) a custom config file will solve this problem for me. You can define properties and values like this:
    <flex-config>
        <compiler>
            <define>
                <name>CONFIG::DEBUG</name>
                <value>false</value>
            </define>
        </compiler>
    <flex-config>
    So in your AS code you can use:
    CONFIG::DEBUG {
        // Do something that only should be done in debug mode.
    I have another question, I ran into this one during testing my SWF with flexunit.
    unittest.xml:82: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: command [<testcase classname='com.tuenti.video.unittest.testcase.player::MockPlayerCase' name='loadPlayer' time='0.000'  status='success'/>] not understood
    I had a look at the FlexUnitSocketThread.parseInboundMessages method that throws this error and it looks like that your defined END_OF_SUCCESS doesn't entirely match what the SWF is spitting out. They are of by 1 space: END_OF_SUCCESS is defined as: "status=\"success\" />", whereas my SWF spits out the following: "status='success'/>" (single quotes and no space before the closing of the tag).
    It looks like I'm not the only one with the ExecutionException as it is reported on StackOverflow as well: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3953677/flexunittasks-error-of-command-not-understood

    Is there any way to pass in JVM tunable params to OC4J containers?
    1. Switch to -server rather than -classic
    2. Min/Max Memory configuration
    3. pass in tunable GC params
    Passing parameters to the JVM when executing dcmctl does not pass these variables to the exec-ed java process(OC4J Containers).

    Hello
    say I like to pass object I created in one page say :
    MyObject obj = new MyObject("1","2","3");
    via http params (supmit or post ) to other page . and
    use it there can it be done ?No. You can however place them as attributes in scope (application/session/request) and retrieve these attributes in the next page.
    example
    in one page,
    session.setAttribute("obj", obj);
    in another page
    MyObject obj = (MyObject)session.getAttribute("obj");

  • What are different ways to pass variables in a c# program?

    What are different ways to pass variables in a c# program?
    I was wondering if :
    var numbers = textBox1.Text.Split('
    .Select(int.Parse).ToArray();
    var min = numbers.Min();
    var max = numbers.Max();
    textBox2.Text = string.Format("min:
    {0} max: {1}", min, max);
    and
    private
    int[] numbers =
    new
    int[10];
     were considered passing variables and I am also interested in learning new ways.

    Hi Billst3r,
    Your examples would be considered creating variables or "instantiating" them, which basically means creating them in memory.  To pass variables, here is a brief example.
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Threading.Tasks;
    namespace ConsoleApplication1
    class Program
    static void Main(string[] args)
    // Declaring variables
    int num1 = 1;
    int num2 = 5;
    // Pass created variables to private method
    int answer1 = ComputeSum(num1, num2);
    // Print results
    Console.WriteLine(answer1);
    Console.ReadLine();
    private static int ComputeSum(int param1, int param2)
    // Return sum of 2 provided parameters
    return (param1 + param2);
    Best of luck.

  • Why does buckminster not resolve my passed JVM argument?

    I have a jenkins job which uses buckminster to build an eclipse product.
    At the beginning I have an "Extended Choice Parameter" where the "customer" key can be selected.
    In the buckminster configuration I use this "customer" variable to select the right cquery:
    import '${WORKSPACE}/source/scodi-customer/${customer}/server/features/ch.scodi.${customer}.server.feature/site.cquery'
    Since the variable "customer" is per default not available in the commands, I added the following to the "JVM arguments":
    -Dcustomer=${customer}
    This all used to work well, but now I updated the server and build environment from Java 1.7 32-Bit to Java 1.8 64-Bit. Since then I get the following error trying to build:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: [Path to job]\source\scodi-customer\${customer}\server\features\ch.scodi.${customer}.server.feature\site.cquery (The system cannot find the path specified)
    Before the variable was resolved fine.
    Is this a buckminster or java8 problem, not being able to resolve the ${customer} variable? Is there maybe another (cleaner) way to pass the variable to the buckminster configuration?
    I did some further testing and added the following to the JVM arguments, I get the same exception referring to a missing ${customer}. It looks to me that JVM arguments are ignored.
    -Dcustomer=CUSTOMER

    Finally I found a workaround.
    I had to rename my "customer" variable to "CUSTOMER", now it is resolved in the buckminster command area:
    From:
    import '${WORKSPACE}/source/scodi-customer/${customer}/server/features/ch.scodi.${customer}.server.feature/site.cquery'
    To:
    import '${WORKSPACE}/source/scodi-customer/${CUSTOMER}/server/features/ch.scodi.${CUSTOMER}.server.feature/site.cquery'
    Also my JVM parameters from:
    -Dcustomer=${customer}
    To:
    -Dcustomer=${CUSTOMER}
    Found out the JVM parameters are not relevant to the buckminster command interface but are used later in "cspex" files.
    Running Jenkins on a Windows machine this might be the Problem...
    So the actual problem was the naming of the "Extended Choice Parameter", not being capitalized.

  • Set classpath in JAXB - schemagen

    Using JAXB -(schemagen.bat) i need to create the .xsd file.
    To which , should i set the classpath.
    (TO schemagen.bat OR any-other jar file )
    After setting the classpath, how can i run it to create the .xsd
    (Is this the way???)
    c:\>schemagen MyJfile.java
    C:\jaxb-ri-20060801\bin>schemagen.bat
    When i do this it gives an exception like this -->
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Files\Java\jdk1/5/0_0
    6\lib;/;F:\java\packages;C:\Program
    https://jaxb.dev.java.net/nonav/2.0.2/docs/schemagen.html

    The first major problem with the Runtime.exec() method is that path is obviously a variable and would need to be placed outside the quote marks: Process p = Runtime.exec("set classpath=" + path); Secondly this would only work under Windows, in Unix/BASH the command to set an environment variable would be export CLASSPATH=path.
    I had a similar problem two years ago, unfortunately I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I'm fairly certain it involved using the system properties of the System class. There is a system property called java.class.path, more info can be found in the API for the System class: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/System.html
    Look especially at the methods getProperties() (contains a list of the system property names), and setProperty().

  • Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?

    I have a Report that Contains 2 Parameters, @Customer & @Area. When trying to set up the Available Values for @Area, I'm having issues using multiple values for one Label, i.e. = "4006" Or "4610"
    One of the Filters in the Report is an Operation number, which is the [OPERATION] field, which is setup as a filter on the Tablix referencing the @Area parameter.
    PROBLEM: I cannot retrieve any data when trying to use the ‘Or’ Operator here. If I simply put “4006” or “4610” I retrieve data, but when trying to combine it returns no data.
    Example, I need to allow a user to select ‘Chassis Incoming’, which would include data from Operations 4006 & 4610.
    QUESTION:
    Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?
    I realize the typical solution may be to use ‘Multi-Value’ selection, but in this case we want the User to select the Area and the multiple values for Filtering will be automatically determined for them. Otherwise, they are subject to not getting
    it correct.
    I have tried several different ways, such as =”4006” Or “4610”, =(“4006”, “4610”), = In(“4006”, “4610”), etc….
    Note: We are using Report Builder 3.0

    Based on my experience, there's no way to 'intercept' the query that gets passed back to SQL Server, so a Split wouldn't work.
    Try creating either a function or stored procedure using the code below (compliments to
    http://www.dotnetspider.com/resources/4680-Parse-comma-separated-string-SQL.aspx) to parse the string:
    CREATE FUNCTION dbo.Parse(@Array VARCHAR(1000), @Separator VARCHAR(10))
    RETURNS @ResultTable TABLE (ParseValue VARCHAR(100))AS
    BEGIN
    DECLARE @SeparatorPosition INT
    DECLARE @ArrayValue VARCHAR(1000)
    SET @Array = @Array + @Separator
    WHILE PATINDEX('%' + @Separator + '%' , @Array) <> 0
    BEGIN
    SELECT @SeparatorPosition = PATINDEX('%' + @Separator + '%', @Array)
    SELECT @ArrayValue = LEFT(@Array, @SeparatorPosition - 1)
    INSERT @ResultTable VALUES (CAST(@ArrayValue AS VARCHAR))
    SELECT @Array = STUFF(@Array, 1, @SeparatorPosition, '')
    END
    RETURN
    END
    Once created you can do things like this:
    SELECT * FROM Parse('John,Bill,David,Thomas', ',')
    SELECT * FROM (SELECT 'John' AS TestName union select 'David' AS TestName) AS Main
    WHERE TestName IN (SELECT ParseValue FROM dbo.Parse('John,Bill,David,Thomas', ','))
    This is what your SQL query would probably look like:
    SELECT OperationID, OperationName FROM dbo.Operations
    WHERE AreaID IN (SELECT ParseValue FROM dbo.Parse(@Area, ','))
    You may need to fiddle around with the Separator depending on whether SQL Server inserts a space between the comma and next value.

  • Is there a way of passing a mixed cluster of numbers and booleans to teststand

    Hi,
    I have a labview VI that contains an output cluster containing both numeric and boolean results and would like to pass this to Teststand. At the moment I have coverted all my boolean results to  '1/0'  so that I can create a numeric array and can quite easily pass this to Teststand (using multiple numeric limit test).
    Is there a way to pass mixed results to Teststand and write in the limits (example PASS and GT 5V) or do I have to stick with what I have?
    Chris

    Which test step type to use depends on what you have to analyze - a boolean condition? String? Number(s)? I can't tell you because I don't know what's in your cluster. If you click on the plus sign next to the parameter name "output cluster" you will see all paramters and their types, which are passed from the VI to TestStand.
    You can either create a variable for the whole cluster, or you can assign all or just some values from within the cluster to variables.
    The name of the variable (Locals.xxxxxxx... or FileGlobals.xxxxx...) ist what you type in the value field. You can also choose the variable from the expression browser by clicking on the f(x) button.
    Are you new to TestStand, do you know how to work with variables in TS?
    Maybe the attached picture gives you an example, there I am assigning the values from VI output "VoltageOutputArray" to the TS variable locals.VoltageMeasurement.
    This variable ist used again on the tab "Data Source" as the Data Source Expression.

  • Is there a way to pass data between 2 seperate programs?

    I realize you can pass values to a program on boot but is there a way to pass information to a program after it's loaded? I want to make it so two seperate programs running on the same PC could exchange data back and forth. Where one program can call a program with options on boot but then that program can pass information back to the one that called it. I can also save it to a text file and constantly check if it changed but I don't think this would be practical. I can set up like a client/server but without networking services needed I think this would be a waste. Is there a better way or do you think the client/server is the best option?

  • Any Easy Way to pass initial parameters to a VI created with New VI?

    In LabVIEW 2010 I can use OpenG's New VI function to create and launch a VI that is built from a template.
    Is there any easy way to pass initial parameters from the VI that creates the New VI to the New VI that will be available as soon as the New VI starts?

    Check out the Control Value Set invoke node. I personally don't like this node, and tst has got a great suggestion to promote cleaner, less fragile syntax for launching VI's dynamically that require input parameters.

  • Is there a way to pass archive file name to the command-line control?

    Hi there,
    I have been researching the flash media live encoder laterly. But still cannot find confirmed anwsers on the following questions:
    1. Is there a way to pass an archive file name to the command-line control when starting an encoder?
    2. Can the username/password to the Flash Media Server be saved in the profile? If not, is there any otherway to provide(GUI mode) them automatically,
        like as variables to a script?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Helen

    1. The only way to inform the command-line encoder about the archive file name is to save the FMLE session profile with the file name. The node for saving the file name is <output><file><path>C:\sample.flv</output></file></path>. The easier way to update the xml profile is to use "Save Profile" option of the GUI mode. If you want to programmatically update the file name, read the profile and update the node before launching the encoder. I hope this answers your question.
    2. No. Credentials can't be saved in the profile. The only way to provide them programmatically is to use /ap and /ab commands for the command-line encoder. For GUI mode, there is no programmable option. But still you can try capturing keystrokes.

    The portalt contains:
    Page A with A.portlet with A.jpf and a.jsp
    Page B with B.portlet with B.jpf and b.jsp

    and begin action on B.jpf gets the values that I got from link i a.jpf.
    How are the different ways to pass the values from A.portlet to another
    B.portlet
    and that the coresponding .jpf files can get the values. I can not get the
    values to passed .
    One way to solve this is to use session scope to store values in A.jpf and
    then get it from session scope in B.jpf. I dont want that, because it then I
    have to remove it to avoid trash in the session.

  • Please Suggest best way to pass Strings in a pipeline

    I'm working in a project in which a line passes in a pipeline kind of situation.
    The String is passed between different modules and each module adds some more data to it (or may even remove some of it).
    Which is the best way to pass the String? I think java.lang.String might not be an efficient method because the String i'll be passing will be modified many times.
    Thanx

    Yes. StringBuffer or StringBuilder you can use.
    String string = "test";
    StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer(string);later you will add some more strings to the StringBuffer
    sb.append("Hello World");No additiional String object will be created.
