Web Forms Not working on Client Machines with Separate Win

Hi friends,
We deployed all our Forms on web and we are using Developer
Server 6.0 ,OAS 4.07, Oracle Jinitator 1.1.7.18 ,Netscape 4.7
Browser
My problem is we configured forms to open in a separate window
this is giving problems on Client Machines they are getting a
blank screen ,previously we used to open forms in the same window
(browser ) at that time we didn't get any problem.
We are using Oracle Jinitiator 1.1.7.18 & Netscape 4.7 as
browser on Client Machines.

JInitiator will be downloaded only once - the first time when u connect to a web-forms application. After that - no problem. It is true that the first time it takes a little bit longer, but I think forms are working better using JInitiator. However - it is just a matter of settings how u will make your application to run. Oracle did great improvement of the speed introducing the forms servlet listener. I would expect even better performance with Forms9i. And Win2000 is not a problem, but combination between Win2000 and Pentium4 is. There is a way to avoid your (installation) problems however.

FORM NOT WORKING on one PC (with reader 7.0.7 installed)

hello.. I created a form in Designer & it is working fine on 3 PCs but not on one which has the latest version of reader installed (i dont know if it has anything to do with that or if its just a coincidence)
the problem is that none of the scripts are working (reset script, submit by email script) & some fields (readonly text fields)are empty on form open -
Would anyone know what could be the problem?

I don't see any reason offhand why this form would not work... do other forms work on the system that you're having problems with? I'm wondering if there's a problem with the Acrobat installation on that PC that's causing the scripts to not run.

Launching EAS from URL not working on client machine.

We are on version 11.1.1.4. When I use EAS URL on the server it is working fine. But when I use from a different machine other than the server it is not working, after selecting the "locale country" and clicking launch button it is giving the following error. i checked the java version also and client machine is on 1.6. I also tried on different IE versions. But from the same client machine I am able to connect through the installed version of EAS.
Is something I need to open ports or anything like that. Please let me know your suggestions or comments.

Shiva -- Java version on the server and the client machine is same which is 1.6.0_24.
That is good point about the network. Actually the client and the server are not in the same network but I opened ports on the network router as well as I disabled windows firewall on the server to make sure it is not creating the problem.

Mountain Lion Server Web Server not working after time machine restore

Our Mountain Lion Server (mac mini) lost its drive yesterday. We got a new mac mini and did a time machine restore. Everything in the Server seems to be working (users, groups, file shares, etc) except for the web server.
Trying to connect to the server results in safari not being able to connect to the server. Even just clicking on the "view server website" link in the Server app doesn't work.
We've tried stopping / restarting the services. We have confirmed that the files in Library / Server with the web pages were restored.
Are there any gotchas, troubleshooting steps or guides anyone can point me to? I'd like to get our wiki back.

Server names and aliases do not work on client machines

I have Leopard Server 10.5.6, Advanced setting, on a local machine behind a Time Capsule router. The server's IP was set at 10.0.0.100 (the Time Capsule is 10.0.0.1).
After fiddling around with DNS names, I set the DNS name of the server (Server Admin -> Settings -> Network) to ABC-Server.local
However, from any computer on the network, going to "All... -> Servers" in Finder displays two folders, "abc.server" and "abcserver.local". Inside both these folders, aliases are unreachable.
1. Is there a way to remove these two folders and their aliases? I tried to "rm" or "sudo rm" them from a client and the server computer, but I get the "Operation not permitted".
I am also wondering if this is related to the Workgroup Manager: Selecting a user, then "Home" displays
afp://abc.server/Groups
afp://abcserver.local/Rewriting
etc.
I cannot remove these paths (the "-" sign is greyed out).
2. Is this related to the above? How can I remove these paths?
Also, setting up a roaming home profile (so that users can log in from any workstation) has been difficult up to now. I tried following the official instructions manual, but it didn't work out for me, maybe due to the above problems?

Removing the server in Directory Activity seems to remove the above "Server" folder and its contents, so could this be related to the Open Directory service?
From Server Admin, looks like I can't edit much. Are there any settings in Server Admin that I should check or fix?

Web forms not working completely

I'm creating this multi step form; this is the first page http://www.angelsjunkremoval.com/book-online-dates-times.php this is the second page http://www.angelsjunkremoval.com/book-online.php .
I've been able to make the PHP enter the time designated by the radio circle into the secon box of the second page but I haven't been able to figure out how to make the first box of the second page show the day of the the user is booking from the first page. Is there a way I could possibly create a conditional statement using the id# of the radio input or can I get the result I'm looking for some other way?

Forget about session variables. POST form values only survive the duration of one page load, or action. So you'd have to recycle the value that was passed from the first page to the second page or else they are destroyed once a page is loaded after that. You can recycle variables either through a form field, a URL parameter, or a Session varible. You can also store the value in a database and call it. I'm sure you know that and it wasn't really your original question, so posting a w3schools link won't help much. Your example is recycling the value that's being passed from formpage1.php to formpage2.php so session variables are completely pointless for this discussion thread. Like I've said: forget about session variables. There are times where you might use session variables but for this scenario I do not see any reason to use them.
I've seen your form page and comprehended your question. For instance: visitor goes to formpage1.php and enters a time for a day. Upon submission of the form you're sent to formpage2.php where the time slot is displayed in a read only text field. You want the day to also be displayed in a separate read only text field. Currently it doesn't matter if visitor enters a time slot for anyday because a variable is not set for the day in formpage1.php and thus passed to display on formpage2.php in the day text field.
There's a few solutions you can do: either create separate forms for each day on formpage1.php with each submission value the name of the day, then pass the form submission value to formpage2.php and echo the value in the day input filed much like you've already done for the time slot. The other method is to use javascript to append the day value to the time slot radio selection on formpage1.php depending on the time that was selected. Something like if id="22" is checked then add a POST value 'day' value of Wednesday, etc. It's a cumbersome method that's dependent on javascript knowledge of the developer and also the client having javascript enabled so I don't recommend it. The final method is to add the day value into the time slot value then use php function on formpage2.php to separate the conjoined value of time slot and day. This is another cumbersome method but there's no dependancies on the client.
***The other alternative is to use drop downs for day and time slot. It'll clean up your form a lot and maintain one submission button without cumbersome code functions. One drop down for the day selection, one drop down for the time slot selection. Then echo the values into the respective read only input fields on formpage2.php That's what I'd do. boom.

PHP web form not working properly

I am having a problem with writing some PHP script in an attempt to draw info, entered by users, on a form on my site and email it to myself. The form is on the website page www.highwaytoheavenchurch.com/prayerRequest.php
In lesson 13 of the textbook "Classroom in a Book for Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" it takes you through the PHP script for emailing forms and gives a great example to follow. I adapted this example to fit my needs. Here is the script I have written;

The result is that the form will email me with the sender being the name of my FTP account of my hosting provider (this is acceptable), and the following info in the body of the email:

Obviously, it does not draw the information typed into the form text boxes by the user.

The form is being transmitted from a secure site. The data in the email is not stored on the site. It is transmitted in the email to me and then stored in my personal inbox.

"no serializer is registered..." error with a web service not working

I'm having issues with the web service not working after I create a client for it. The web service works fine up until I generate the proxy on the other side.

I saved the file before I added the proxy and the wsdl looks the same between the working one and the non working one. I can not pin point the when the change to the web service is occuring. It seemed to work once all the way up until I had a ADF page trying to retrieve data, another time it failed when the proxy was created.
I can get the version that I saved to work immediately after the version that does not fails.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Minetest translation does not work on my machine.

After trying my luck in the official Minetest forums a week ago and got nothing more than the initial “try this-and-that” thing as response in the German discussion section and no reply at all in the regular discussion section I decided to ask on Reddit on last Saturday afternoon, too. On Reddit my question only got 3 upvotes and no comments.
Since no-one seems to know what’s going on I decided to post my question here, too.
It sems like the translation feature in Minetest does not work on my machine for unknown reason.
The language files are there and according to it’s oputput and the PKGBUILD Minetest was compiled with gettext support. LANG and LC_MESSAGES are properly set (I even tried LC_ALL). Localization works properly in all other applications that support localization.
Here’s some relevant system information.

Since it seems to work for everyone else (otherwise there might be more replies to my quesions in several places, I guess *g*) I’m pretty sure that’s a local problem on my machine. But since gettext properly works on my machine in all and every application that use it I have no clue at all where to start debugging.

It gives me a URL that begins with http:// Safari does something strange, ie. flashes the page, and then complains about not recognizing photo://
It seems that it has not figured out that it needs to open iPhoto 6.
Regardless, the provided link is not viewable when cutting and pasting into safari, neither.
I am using the latest and greatest 10.4.4, Safari is 2.0.3.

Web gallery not working

Can't seem to get my web galleries to work. i end up with a white screen. The look fine in preview and in dreamweaver but not when i actually load them to my site. I have an older one web gallery that still works. here is a sample problem page http://anaphoria.com/test/index.html. still on cs5

What version of iPhoto are you running? If you're still at 7.0 then that's probably the reason. Update to the latest, 7.0.2 and try again.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Some web sites not working in FF but they are OK in Safari.

A couple of times lately I have had web sites not work correctly with Firefox. I need to switch to Safari to complete the tasks I needed to do. My FF is running on Mountain Lion and is up to date.

Hello michaeljt, the sites you have problem, is it with a lot of flash content ?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Please reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using '''one''' of the following steps:
*Hold down the ''Shift'' key and click the ''Reload'' button with the left mouse key.
OR
*Press ''Ctrl'' + ''F5'' or ''Ctrl'' + ''Shift'' + ''R'' (Windows and Linux)
*Press ''Command'' + ''Shift'' + ''R'' (Mac)

The long polling waitMonitor object in the FlexSession did not keep track of
blocking polls via endpoint ID. This prevented the second channel from blocking.
Enhance the FlexSession.waitMonitor to be a map of endpointID to
EndpointQueue objects, and keep track of the monitors based on what endpoint
they are associated with.

Flash player download web site not working

After uninstalling flash player, I can't get the web site to reinstall it. I go to the web site click the agree and install now and gos to the next page but nothing pops up like it said it should.

My OS is windows 7 Ultimate. There no Service packs listed Microsoft don't have one for it yet. My brower is Internet explorer 8 version: 8.0.7600.16385. My firewall is not causeing problems and the popup blocker didn't even activate.
