Web Server 7.0.14 won't start

I've just applied the WS7.0.14 update to my previous WS7.0.9 install on Centos 6.
The 7.0.9 instance is working fine. The 7.0.14 instance fails to start with this error:
fine: CORE3047: Server spawned worker process 21405
failure: CORE1285: NSS initialization failed (SEC_ERROR_PKCS11_DEVICE_ERROR: PKCS11 device error.)
failure: server initialization failed
Any thoughts?

This appears to be related to our old friend "/export/WS7/lib/libfreebl3.so: version `NSSRAWHASH_3.12.3' not found". The old workaround (move the included libfreebl3 out of the search path) seems to trigger this new NSS initialization failure.
I haven't figured out how to work around this dependency hell yet.

  • Microsoft Forefront Server Protection Eventing Service won't start?

    Hi Guys,
When Forefront Protection for Exchange was integrated/enabled on our SBS 2008 server, Microsoft Forefront Server Protection Eventing Service won’t start. Even when we try to start it manually we are getting this message (see attached). During this attempt,
we got these events in the event viewer. In this case, in order to have our email working, we have to temporarily disable Forefront. Any suggestion how to fix this? Please advise.

    Hi Arnel,
Based on error messages, it indicates a log file (inc.log) has become corrupted. Please restore the log file
from a backup copy, and then check if this issue can be solved. For more details, please refer to the following article.
    Event Id 465
    Hope this helps.

  • CM 13 Web server version installed but won't log in

Just finished the CM web server install after carefully following the instructions for MS SQL 2005 and jboss app server.
Close to the end of the install it gave the error: The CM Admin Config utility failed.
    Refer to the c:\Program Files\Oracle\ContractManagement\utility\CMAdminConfig\CMAdminCOnfig.log
But it still seemed to finish. I can get to the login page but the sa account won't log in. It gives me the "Internal Server Error" page.
Can I make additional accounts some other way without logging into the web page?

do not install as a standalone on Windows 7!!! this is not supported.
some people have reporterd success using Windows 7 as a client, but Not as a server.
also currently many issues with Windows 7 and Office 2007 compatibility with PCM 13.
    - after you installed MS SQL 2005 did you enable the tcp/ip port in SQL Configuration Manager? set it to port 1433 on Dynamic Ports in IPAll
    - run dbconfig.cmd in location: c:\Program Files\Oracle\ContractManagement\utility\CMAdminConfig\
set the database connection to MS SQL, username will be exp and password sql
    - run admin.cmd in same location: c:\Program Files\Oracle\ContractManagement\utility\CMAdminConfig\
ensure the database groups are setup correctly. You should have one Admin and atleast one group database folder
the usernames and passwords should be exp and sql in all the databases

  • Windows Server Essentials Email Service Won't Start SharedServiceHost.exe Unhandled exception from operation

    Gday Everyone,
Two weeks ago we installed a new Server 2012 R2 with the Essentials Experience role. It was fully patched at time of deployment. We enabled O365 integration and password sync was working fine last week. This morning I went to the Dash Board to add a new

    The system event log shows
"The Windows Server Essentials Email Service service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 3 time(s)."
The application event log shows the following.

The only thing we did a few days ago was enable the Azure Backup integration. I am not sure if this broke the O365 integration as I didn't go back to the O365 tab in the dashboard after installing the Azure backup.
I have spent a considerable amount of time on google, however, majority of the posts talk about Update 1 which disables the password sync service. I have checked and all services are started with exception of Windows Server Essentials Email Service (WseEmailSvc).
The Azure Backup module is working fine and the registry location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Server\Productivity seems to hold the correct configuration information throughout the various keys.
I am at a loss as to how to proceed with this issue? I have checked but there are no pending updates and I have attempted a server reboot numerous times.
Would appreciate external input if you have seen this issue before or know where we can look to further establish what is going on.
    Cheers,
    Chiper

I have a similar if not identical situation - I'm currently migrating from WS2012 Essentials to WS2012 R2 Standard w/Essentials role installed. The 'wseemailsvc' service continues to fail over and over, and I am unable to manage O365 accounts from within
the Essentials dashboard on the R2 server.

  • Installing Weblogic Admin Server as service -  service won't start

The problem lies in your additions to the script installSvc.cmd
Say we have for example the following directory as our middleware-home
c:\bea. In this directory we also have installed a JVM say C:\bea\jrockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20.
When you create a domain (by using the config.cmd script) the domain you created
is placed in the directory c:\bea\user_projects\domain\base_domain (assuming we have
    called the domain base_domain).
Now we have to add the following parameter definitions to installSvc.cmd
@rem JAVA_VENDOR and JAVA_HOME are set in the call to commEnv.cmd
@rem JAVA_VENDOR is checked in commEnv.cmd to be Oracle or Sun
    set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle
    set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jrockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\bea\user_projects\domains\base_domain
    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain
@rem i am assuming it is running on localhost
    set HOST=127.0.0.1
set PORT=7001In your case it becomes (just a guess)
@rem use Oracle instead of BEA
    set JAVA_VENDOR=Oracle
@rem the location where your JVM is installed
    set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea10_64\jr
@rem if bea10_64 is your middleware home and PA_domain is your domain name
    set USERDOMAIN_HOME=C:\bea10_64\user_projects\domains\PA_domain
@rem the rest should be alright
    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set DOMAIN_NAME=PA_domain
    set HOST=10.0.1.28
set PORT=7001If you add the following to uninstallSvc.cmd you can uninstall the service
    set SERVER_NAME=AdminServer
    set DOMAIN_NAME=base_domain

  • URGENT: Web Server 6.1 SP4 won't respond to GET /index.html

    Hello folks,
I was adding "additional document directories" when the management web interface suddenly decided that it had had enough of my additions and decided to throw out all but the last three.
Worse still, GET /index.html doesn't work; instead the server responds with "Method not allowed", which my browser reports as HTTP405 but the server error log reports as HTTP2205. So no web page request is currently being honoured.
For what it's worth, a look at the mime.types file shows that type=text/html is linked with exts=htm/html.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers!

I had just clicked on OK to input another "additional document directories" when the administration server threw an error in a popup window; I honestly can't remember what text was in that popup, probably because I was gutted on realising that of the forty plus entries I had just made, only the last three were showing up in the "Current additional directories" list.
One possibility that would exonerate the administration server is that I gave some keystroke combination that caused the obj.conf fault as by that time I was typing in quite rapidly...
    Thanks for positng.
    Cheers

  • I don't see any way of configuring a web server in 10.9; this was always present in previous releases.  How to I set up a website on OSX 10.9.1?

I upgraded from Snow Leopard, where performance was great on my Mac Mini, to Mountain Lion, where performance is so bad that I'm now attempting a clean-install of Mavericks.  But, I don't see any way to set up my local website.  I don't see a Sites directory or any control in System Preferences to set up the web site.  How is this done in Mavericks?

Yes, the functionality has departed System Preferences. Here is an updated guide to jump start your solution. It deals with the Terminal solution below.
There are two approaches to launching a web server in Mavericks.
    Terminalsudo apachectl {start|stop|restart}
    System Preferences solutions
Web Sharing Preference Pane (free, originally for Mt. Lion)
    VirtualHostX ($)

  • Deploying to a web server

We have a web server/BOXI server with 11.5.3300 runtimes installed. I was not involved in the install.
I was instructed by support to install BOE XI R2 SDK for development with VS 2005.
After doing the samples (which run great on my dev pc), published it to the web server.
The app won't run. It complains it can't find the 11.5.3700 assemblies.
Since this is a test BOXI server, I checked the production server. It has 11.5.3308 assemblies.
Is the server running an older version? How do I fix the runtimes?

    Hi Richard,
You will need to install the Crystal Reports runtimes for the 2.0 framework.  There is an issue where the 2.0 framework dlls do not install properly on a web server that does not have VS.NET 2005 installed.
You will need to download the .NET server install that corresponds to the Service Pack level you are at and use the msi that ends in _2005.msi.
Search on Crystal Reports|XI Release 2|*

  • Report Web Server

    Hi,
I downloaded the Oracle by Example series for the latest verison of 9i (enterprise) on Windows 2000. I installed oracle OK and then created a Management Server repository on the same machine, but in a different database (as the doc's say to do).
The next thing it has you do is to try to set up a report server and it has you do the following steps:
    1. Log into the oracle management server and edit the REPORTS_USER user's password.
    2. Configure the Web Server for Enterprise Manager Reporting by starting the HTTP Server (Start -> Programs -> Oracle - OraHome92 -> Oracle HTTP Server -> Start Oracle HTTP Server powered by Apache)
This open a dos command window, which basically states the apache server is running
    3. Open up a command prompt and enter "oemctl configure rws" and accept the defaults except for the password of REPORTS_USER (enter the password from step 1). I did this and it came back saying everything was successful. It then states to use your browser and goto //computername:3339
I go to that location and select the ACCESS button and I get this error message (doncaster is the name of my computer which has the oracle db and the oracle manager server installed):
"The management server doncaster is using a different webserver doncaster for Enterprise Manager reporting services. This webserver Doncaster will be deconfigured and will no longer support Enterprise Manager Reporting. To access Enterprise Manager Reports in the future, please use the webserver doncaster"
Any body have any ideas where I'm going wrong ? It seems to suggest using the server I'm already using..
Some other info that might be useful:
    1. When viewing the http server in Oracle Management Server it lists the server as Doncaster:4443
The number beside the computer name is the port number, however when using the "oemctl" to configure RWS the default shows port 3339
    2. There is a service running on the machine called "OracleOraHome92HTTPServer" which doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Appache server. I can stop/start the HTTP server in Oracle Mangement Server and it has no affect on this service...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ned Radenovic

I used URL: http://172.16.8.182/ReportServer (report builder 2008 2.0RC), but I still got the error message:connection failed.
I don't know why, because i can access report manager using http://172.16.8.182/ReportServer in IE.

  • CiscoWorks Web Server won't start after LMS upgrade 3.0 - 3.2

I upgraded CiscoWorks LMS from 3.0 to 3.2 today.  Everything worked prior to the upgrade.
The upgrade was successful, with no errors, and all services started except "CiscoWorks Web Server" which has the following error.
Apache.exe: Syntax error on line 1025 of C:/Program Files/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/Program Files/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/modules/mod_ssl.so into server: The operating system cannot run %1.
    Environment:
    Windows 2003 SP2 Enterprise R2 32-bit, 8 GB RAM, HP BL460c Server
I suspect there is a problem with the precompiled apache installation?
I was wondering if someone could zip up a known-working C:/Program Files/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache folder for me from CiscoWorks LMS 3.2?
Or if someone has a patch or update to 3.2 to correct this?  Or, where I can get LMS 3.1 instead of 3.2 if LMS 3.2 is buggy?
Or if there is some other solution?  (even if it is a clean install... although I'd rather wait to see if someone can solve this a better way)

Do you have another application that might be loading Apache or OpenSSL on that same server?
Search for theses files and verify its located in CSCOpx\bin directory .
    cwssleay32.dll
    cwlibeay32.dll
If not, copy it from CSCOpx\setup\support directory to CSCOpx\bin directory and then restart the server.
Get the MDCSupportZip output from C:\Program Files\CSCOpx\MDC\bin\mdcsupport.exe file and upload it here.

    hi mv,
tried your suggestion of installing sun webserver7 but i got an error, something like "can't use sparcv9.so" (too bad i didn't copy the entire error before uninstalling). may have something to do with patches for solaris8. unfortunately, i don't have access to the patches since my support for the hardware ended many years ago.
was able to get 108434-18 but not 108435-18 which needs an active support account.
