Web service component

Hi,
While creating a process workflow in LCES 8.1 I´m using the web service component. Can someone tell me how this service works in terms of proxy? Does it creates a proxy in design time (after making the load of the wsdl file) or will it try to get the wsdl file everytime the service process is invoked?
I ask this because wilhe batch testing my service, sometimes I get the error that the wsdl file used by the service component is not well formed... but other times it works fine.
Thank you.

Hello,
Web service component doesn't work in terms of proxy. Every time when it invokes it loads wsdl from the beginning. You can easely check it from logs into youre web container where LC running.
Best regards,
Paul

  • Web Services Component

I am new to web services in flash. I am running Flash 8 and
am attempting to use the Web Services component. I have defined my
web service, bound to text fields on my form. Every thing works
fine when I test the movie. Data is returned as it should. But when
I put the movie on the web and I try to get data back, I get
nothing. Any ideas what I am doing wrong.

I am in the same boat. Everything works fine until I access
it directly on the web. Can anybody out there help us?

  • Tween & Web Service Component Help!

I am trying to build a component for which I enter a
paramater value, and it calls a web service, retrieves data, then
tweens a movieclip based on the value.
I cannot seem to be able to access the Label within the
component to display the data, from within the webservice.onResult
    call. I am sooooooo lost!!!!!
I would love some help! I'm in a deadline too!! Aaah
    actionscript!

'this' inside an event normally refers to the object that
holds that event, so inside 'onResult', it refers to the
PendingCall object. There's not _parent property in that, so you
can't get to the component this way. Instead, try to pass a
reference to the component to the event:
var me = this; // in openService()
    wsGetAllVals.onResult = function (result)
    me.sensorMax = "400";
    trace("All Values received");
    var splitArr:Array = result.split(";");
    me.sensorMax = this.lblMax = splitArr[6].substring(9,15);
    me.sensorMin = this.lblMin = splitArr[5].substring(9,15);
    //sensorUnit =lblUnit = splitArr[3].substring(6,25);
    trace(splitArr);
    trace(sensorMax);
    _root.sensorMax = me.sensorMax;
    trace(_root.sensorMax);
I also noticed that the init() function is nested in the
openService() function in the posted code, is that right? Dunno if
this is important, but I thought it should be a part of the class,
not of a function in that class.

  • Web service - document style

    Hi all,
I need to create web service component which will accept SOAPMessages as request.
    Pls find my requirement below.
    1. I have to use document oriented style.
    2. I should not use apache ant script rather that i need to use weblogic ant script
    3. I should not use RPC call, i should use document oriented call.
    4. I have to use weblogic web service frame work, i should not use axis framework.
Can any one pls help me on this? Pls provide me some sample programs.
    Thanks,
    Mani

Hi, Mike. There is a newer version of 10.1.3 JDeveloper just made available for download.
When you use that, you have a choice between the old J2EE 1.3 Web services, and new J2EE 1.4 JAX-RPC based Web services.
With the latter you can select the message style (doc/wrapped - a version of doc/lit that interoperates well with .NET, doc/lit, rpc/lit, and rpc/enc), and complex Java objects should in general also be serialized automatically.
(One caveat with this download: you tend to have better success if you blank out the field where it asks for the mapping file instead of accepting the default shown there.)
Your point about not getting to the full wizard with a right click on the Java class is still valid (i.e. no change in the newest drop).
Also, I believe your original issue where methods did not get published likely was due to overloading - in this case the Wizard grays out the method, but you can ask why it is not publishable.

  • Send a map of documents via Invoke Web Service

    Hi,
I have one process with map of documents and 2nd process on other server, where input variable is map od documents too. How can I send this map between these processes via "Invoke Web Service" component? Simple datatypes I can.
    Petr

Take a look at Quick Start: Assembling a PDF document using the web service API
It shows how to create an input map for multiple documents.
But it sounds like you're asking how to create a WSDL that allows you to use an input map as an argument in a Web Service invocation. If so, take a look at the Assembler services WSDL. For 8.2, access
    http://myServer:myPort/soap/services/AssemblerService?wsdl

  • "HTTP500 - OTHER_ERROR: Failed to read WSDL" creating a Web Service in OBPM

I'm currently experiencing a problem with OBPM 11g when trying to consume a Web service into my composite application.
I have created a BPM Application and have previously been able to consume Web Services from our service bus. Since a recent restart of my client however, I can nolonger consume the same (or indeed any) service from any location as JDeveloper gives nme the following error when trying to access the WSDL file...
    Error while reading wsdl file
    http://<server>:<port>/<service>).wsdl
    Exception:
WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Failed to read WSDL from
    http://<server>:<port>/<service>).wsdl:
HTTP Connection error code is 500
I can navigate to the WSDL within IE on the same client and I have switched off the "Use HTTP Proxy Server" within the "Web Browser and Proxy" preferences'. Are there any other preferences or settings that could be causing this issue?
    Steps to reproduce...
Open the cmpsite.xml view of the application
Drag a Web service component from the Service Adapters within the SOA Componet pane
Enter the name of the Service
Paste the WSDL location into the WSDL URL
    Try to select port type
At this point the error is received
Thanks to anyone who can assist
    Darren

  • Classic Web services challenge;  help please

    Hi :
We are developing a webservices application and our architecture is somehow falls
into different category. We have some challenges in creating stateful web services.
First and foremost, our webservices is going to be within corporate and the direct
user of the service @least initially is some other web-based application (GUI), which
may inturn be accessed by users.
    Challenge:
We may need to maintain a state for every users. The web based HTTP session wont'
work as the users are routed thro' another interfacing application. So for our web
service the request comes from single IP.
I think we should write our own session management layer for maintaining user session.
Just wanted to know is there any standardized way of doing this ? does weblogic
    provide some feature or doc.?
we will be able to identify every new user in web service with the help of calling
application. so identifying new user is not a problem.. its all about maintianing
    session.
any help, all suggestions welcome and appreciated ,
    Venki

    Thanks manoj and bruce:
manoj, the challenge of session management is solved if we were to use stateful
session bean. Whereas our implementation i'm not sure we can use stateful session
bean. Our arch. is doesn't require stateful part( which i can always explain if
need), so introducing stateful session may be the only req. to maintain user session.
But the real problem is our application individual users cannot be identified
    as our arch..
    calls WS
User ---> GUI APP ------------> WS
So the User is unaware of WS and user request will not be directly forwarded to
WS. So we may need to maintain our own session.
Introducing conversation ID can solve identification challenge, whereas i'm concerned
on maintaining session per sever.( like storing [converstaionID,SessionInfo] map).
using Custom maps work well in single mode whereas in clustered environment ,
the map should be supported for seamless migration of session in fail over.
    Option:
Using single HTTP session per server and storing conversation map , is good but
the size is huge and memory replication traffic will be enormous as every request
    modify the data.
I feel this is one of the major challenge, whereas minor ones' are manageable.
My primary concern is on scalability and reliability.
Hope this helps, ( if needed i'll be able to detail down further, lemme know mailto:[email protected]

An example of using state full session bean is attached.
In this example the web service component does the
state management. It needs to do lot of work to achieve
this, but it gives better control on how the sessions
are maintained. For eg: where to put the session info
(which header/body part), when to start/end a session etc.
If there is lot of interest in this kind of use case, it is not
that difficult to roll this example out as a web service end
    component. Let us know.

    Hi all,
Please throw some light into this issue i am getting the following exception.

  • 'schema is missing for the component ' while creating a web service

    Hello,
I am trying to create a web service in Application Explorer on my dev server as described in:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28996/config.htm#BABBJHHF
I use an adapter for JDE Edwards EnterpriseOne. After supplying the parameters (service, license, method name) I get: com.ibi.bse.AddWSWorker:java.lang.Exception: schema is missing for the component.
I think the environment (JDE system, GenJava files) is configured correctly as I am able to communicate using J2CA.
Debug mode produces ibse_log.txt with some errors (below) but this does not give me a clue to the solution. Could you point me in the right direction?

  • Web service in Web Dynpro development Component

    Hi All,
I have created a web service in SAP GUI and I have saved the WSDL file on my local PC.
Now when I create a web service model in a simple web dynpro project it works perfectly.
But when I do the same in a web dynpro development component; as soon as the web service model instance is associated with the activity in the DTR my application get hanged. I have to quit my NWDS. When I reopen NWDS my application shows following errors:

    Hi Sidharth,
Which version of NWDS you are using. I was facing the same problem with SP16 sometime back.
I did find a workaround to do that. See, whenever you will create the WS Model in Web Dynpro DC, it will ask you to add some file in DTR..right!!........ do one thing press "Cancel" or "No" there. Then studio will ask one more time to add the files, in different dialog box though. Add the files from the second dialog box rather than the first one.

  • Consuming EJB Web Service in WD ABAP component

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I have Portal KM access methods exposed as EJB Web Service. This web service is deployed on J2EE engine.
And I have to consume this web service from my WD ABAP component controller.
Any idea how this can be achieved?
    Thanks and regards,
    Amey

This doesn't really have anything to do with Web Dynpro.  Normal ABAP functionality is used for the consumption of a web service.  In ABAP we create a proxy class based off the WSDL of the web service.  This proxy class can then be called from within Web Dynpro like any other ABAP class.  You can read about consuming a web service in the online help:

  • Help to create a component model using Calculator Web Service :(

    Hello All,
Im working on EP6 SP9 and have a Calculator Web Service.
I want to create a component which should contain following UI elements:
    1. <i>InputField</i> - to enter 1st number
    2. <i>InputField</i> - to enter 2nd number.
    3. <i>TextView</i> - To show the result
The calculator web service consists of 4 basic methods like addition, subtraction, division & multiplication.
I want to know whether how can I provide seperate buttons to each of the above mentioned functions 'coz when I add the web service while creating a component using SAP Web Dynpro (<i>using SAP NEtweaver Developer Studio 2.0.9</i>) - Model Creation step, I get an option to select only one method (and that is add).
    Its not working......
I am following the steps as mentioned in help pages on Web Dynpro, section "Web Dynpro & Web Services" and example on WebServiceEmail.
    Please help.......
I have to show this in a presentation on coming Friday.
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks and Warm Regards,
    Ritu R Hunjan

  • Web Service security is not set up on this component

    Hi Friends,
In RWB, when I click on component monitoring->Integration Engine, I got "Web Service security is not set up on this component"
I want to send message using soap adapter by encrypting and signing it. for this purpose I need to configure the Web Service Security.
Can someone please provide some documentation or link on how to set up this Web Service Security?
    thankx

    Hi,
there is a chapter - Security Configuration at Message Level
in XI config guide which specifies everything you need - this is what you need
so I hope no further explanations are necessary

  • Web Service Security not configured on this component.

    Hi Experts,
Before configuring the scenario, i went to RWB to check whether the comopnents are in active mode or not.
                                  Integration Engine XID
                                  Business Process Engine XID
                                  Mapping Runtime XID
                                  Adapter Engine XID
                                  Integration Engines
All components are in Green mode  Except Integration Engine, The Integration is in yellow mode
                           and shows the following details.
Details for 'Is Web service security available?'
Web Service Security not configured on this component.
Can you give the solution for this.

    Hi,
1, While sending idoc from sapR/3 to PI , in r/3 sm58 shows the foll error:
"No service for system SAPQA,client 200 in integration directory"*
Even the Bussiness sytem pointing R/3.
From your initial post, it appears that you are using XID system and from above error, I believe you are trying to send the IDoc from QA system. R3 dev will communicate to PI dev, so verify the partner profile and ports in your IDoc Header settings.
2, When i execute the tcode sm58 in PI   it shows the following error:
"Syntax error in program SAPLSXI_AC_CACHE _REFERESH"
I am kinda confused how come sm58 tcode can show an error for this program, as sm58 is for checking the transactional RFCs and  SAPLSXI_AC_CACHE_REFERESH is for XI Cache refresh for Alert Category. Might be some one else can explain this.
                         3, WHEN I EXECUTE THE tcode SXI_CACHE
Under the *STATUS OF RUNTIME CACHE
                                                           Unable to refresh cache contents
Error during last attempt toreferesh cache
(red colour triangle leading above both)
Check this SAP Note 764176, might help in your situation.
    Worth reading - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/28e1c20a9d374cbb71875c5f89093b/frameset.htm
4, Still there is no messages in Message monitoring.
Obviously because of error # 1, you are unable to send IDocs, how come you expect messages to reach PI ... strange, isn't it
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Neetesh
