Web Service URI
Greetings:
I wrote my first web service, and deployed it to OAS 10.1.3, it seems to be working. I can access the web service via the sample page. My question is, how do i call it from perl (which is the point of the whole exersize). I installed SOAP::Lite and followed the directions but it doesn't seem to make contact. What I think i am screwing up is the URI part. How can i find out what the correct URI is for my web service?
Here is the code I tried using:
use SOAP::Lite;
my $proxy = 'http://addison.its-is.uni.edu/SampleWebService-SWS-context-root/GetDateWSSoapHttpPort';
print "\n\nCalling the SOAP Server to say hello\n\n";
print "The SOAP Server says: ";
print SOAP::Lite
-> uri('http://sws/')
-> proxy($proxy)
-> getDate()
-> result . "\n\n";
I just guessed on what the URI should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
troy
Hi,
not sure how Perl accesses Web Services. In Java you would build a proxy pointing to the WSDL file. To get the URI, open Enterprise Manager and look up the deployed web service. Click on the Web Service and select Testing WebService. From here you get to the URI. Make sure that you append "?WSDL" (at least this is what you do to generate a Java proxy in JDeveloper)

Web Services URI - How do we find it?
Hi gurus
What is Web Services URI? How does the link look like?
Can someone navigate me after going in Web Services Navigator in http://<Server Name>:<Port Number>/index.html
You need web services URI when you create connectors, fill the Parameters values in connector, when you configure connector while configuring Training and Verification system.
Can someone help?Chinmaya
Can you send me the web service URI example
for e.g http://<server name>/Port number/XXXXXX etc
Maybe go in your CUP->connector and copy paste a connector you have configured for provisioning Portal. Just an example
I have the following folders so its confusing. I don't have anything starting with AE. We are on 5.3 version

Web service URI from VDS for GRC 5.3- IDM 7.1 Integration
Hi All
For connecting IDM 7.1 from SAP Business objects Access control 5.3 , when creating a connector we need to give following details of SAP IDM
1) Web Service URI
u201Center the URI address of the Web service in the IdM. u201C
How we can get the Web service URI? how we can get these details from VDS. Can you give the details
In the link , It is telling to create an .ear file from VDS . Is there Any documentation which talks about how to get this ?
Also it is written in grc config guide that
u201CFor the IdM system integration, obtain a copy of the SPML Schema file (an XML file). You must physically obtain a copy of the SPML Schema file from the IdM vendor u201C
How we can get this SPML Schema file from IDM 7.1 ?I think this is the URL for the documentation

Unable to access a Web service in Web logic
Hi,
We have deployed a web service in a Web logic 9.2 MP3. We have 1 admin server and 2 managed servers. The web service is deployed under 1 of the managed server. There are no errors thrown in the log files during starting of managed and admin server.
The other systems are not able to connect to the web service.
Also there is no entry or any error message in all the log files.
Can anyone please guide us to overcome this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ninad KI would advise you to open a support case.
Some basic things, do you know if the web service is bound to the URL that you expect on server 1? Try connecting to your web service uri with ?WSDL at the end to see if the WSDL is returned.
You can also try using tools like TCPMon to see what's getting passed over the wire. -
Threat Advisory Web Service?
Hi,
I have a CFMX project I'm working on that needs to be able to
determine the current threat advisory listed on the Department of
Homeland Security web site. I've spent a good deal of time
searching for a web service that reports this but haven't been able
to find anything.
Before giving up on this and doing it the "hard" way, I
thought I would check if anyone out there has heard of such a web
service. If not, no biggie...just thought I'd check!
Thanks!
CraigI finally gave up on DHS setting one up. However, if anyone
ever wants to get the current DHS Threat Level, I setup a web
service:
URI:
http://www.imageaid.net/webservices/com/DhsThreatLevel.cfc?wsdl
There is one method, "getDhsThreatLevel". It takes no
arguments and returns a string (one word) with the current level:
low (green)
guarded (blue)
elevated (yellow)
high (orange)
severe (red)
Nothing fancy or overly useful but thought I'd post it, just
in case someone might need one.
EX:
<cfinvoke webservice="
http://www.imageaid.net/webservices/com/DhsThreatLevel.cfc?wsdl"
method="getDhsThreathLevel" returnvariable="threatLevel"/>
<cfoutput>#ThreatLevel#</cfoutput> -
Web Service Endpoint URI expected. Not found endpoint with URI /wssproc
Hi All,
We are following the steps mentioned here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/ea/c91141e109ef6fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm to configure the message level security in our new PI 7.1 system.
We have created the RFC destination with prefix /wssproc/plain?style=document. But when we test the RFC connectioon, we get the following error message:
Status HTTP Response 404
Status Text Not Found
And response body is: Web Service Endpoint URI expected. Not found endpoint with URI /wssproc.
Are we missing a configuration point? Do we need to create the endpoint manually? And if yes, how?
Regards,
Masoud
Edited by: Masoud Ahanchian on Jul 23, 2009 4:58 PMWell, in addition to the 404 message I get the following error as well (i.e. if I go to the link http://<server>:<port>/wssproc/plain?style=document)

Bypass Adapter URI Endpoint with Escape Character for Web Service
Dear All,
I would like to apply by pass adapter URI Endpoint for XI webservice, the default format is
http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<BusinessService>&Interface=<namespace>^<Outbound Interface name>
If I am using format using with carat () character then there has no problem to the service, but consumer doesn't support carat () character. I instead the carat (^) with URL Escape Character (%5E)
http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<BusinessService>&Interface=<namespace>%5E<Outbound Interface name>
Then error occurred

WengHi ,
as per my knowledge.....................
When you create a WSDL with the help of a wizard. In the Integration Directory, choose Tools -> Define Web Service to enter the wizard.
On Propose URL button, as this genertated URL default Point to Entegration Engine.. SO already proformance wise Good.
If You want to Point your URL to adapter engine , use below given URL this will point ur incoming soap message to SOAPadapter sender channel
http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<service>:<channel>.

Hello all,
we need our help regarding the StockTrader example project that is delivered with SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor (Sybase ESP 5.1).
we want to build a simple Web Service and follow the instructions as described in the Sybase Infocenter. We have attached a screenshot ("Sybase InfoCenter") that contains the described steps (as copying the URL always lead to a wrong page).
We have problems with Step 10 ("Start the ESP project by running the start_project.bat or start_project.sh script."). We get the error message "Invalid URI" as you can see in screenshot "[error] Invalid Uri". Previously we started the "start_node.bat" (Step 9) - see also screenshot "[error] Invalid Uri".
Like in steps 6 and 7 mentioned, we have changed the parameters "USER" and "PASSWORD" of the adapter_config.xml files and the parameters "ADAPTER_EXAMPLE_USERNAME"and "ADAPTER_EXAMPLE_PASSWORD" of the
set_example_env.bat files. Here, we were a bit confused wether we should change these parameters in all those files as there are 4 adapter_config.xml and 4 set_example_env.bat files. Please refer to the attached screenshot ("changed files").
Does anyone know why this error occurs and how to continue to complete the Web Service?
Later we want to push data with this Web Service into a SAP HANA database table.
We are thankful for any input and help.
Regards, AndreasHello Neal,
thanks a lot for your help.
The solution for us was to change the column names inside Sybase ESP Studio to the column names in StockTraderMappings.xml.
After compiling and running the project we could see the data and were also able to push it to SAP HANA.
This is the CCL Code that worked for us:
CREATE SCHEMA tradesSchema (
transaction_buyerId INTEGER,
transaction_sellerId INTEGER,
transaction_supervisorIds INTEGER,
transaction_tradeTime LONG,
transaction_trades_amount INTEGER,
transaction_trades_price FLOAT,
transaction_trades_symbol STRING
CREATE INPUT STREAM tradesIn SCHEMA tradesSchema;
CREATE OUTPUT STREAM tradesOut SCHEMA tradesSchema
AS SELECT * FROM tradesIn;
* mapFilePath is currently ignored and must be set via the mappingFile configuration parameter
* in the given adapter configuration file (configFilePath).
ATTACH INPUT ADAPTER Web_Services_SOAP_Input_Adapter TYPE soapinput TO tradesIn PROPERTIES configFilePath =

Hi,
Can anyone tell me hoe to find the service endpoint uri for a web service derived from java classes is and deployed on weblogic? In ALSB this used to be
in a file called weblogic-webservices.xml but this file no longer exists. I have checked oracle-webservices.xml and web.xml but haven't found a reference on what the endpoint uri is. I am invoking the web service using a business service in OSB.
thanks.
DamienI was little confused about your two statements
Can anyone tell me hoe to find the service endpoint uri for a web service derived from java classes is and deployed on weblogic? and 'I am invoking the web service using a business service in OSB'.
From your description it appears that you want to invoke WS through business service in OSB.
BS---?>WS (Deployed in Weblogic and Derived from Java classes) is that the case? -
RESTful web services : Accessing the param id resource URI parameter.
Hello all,
I created restful web services using Netbeans 6.1--->New RESTful web services from patterns-->Container-Item.
This gives me 2 class files, for example : MyWSsResource and MyWSResource.
Now in MyWSResource there are 3 generated methods GET, PUT and Delete.
Here is an example of the GET
@Path("/myws/{arg1}")
@GET
@ProduceMime("application/xml")
public String getXml(@PathParam("id")
String id) {
if(context.equals(null)) {
throw new UnsupportedOperationException();
//My code below
FpkSentDB fpkSent = new FpkSentDB();
MultivaluedMap<String, String> params = context.getTemplateParameters();
String arg1 = params.getFirst("arg1");
return fpkSent.getFPKSent(arg1).toString();
{code}I am not understanding the following code:
{code:java} (@PathParam("id") String id) {code}
.... I can access arg1 using the URI/arg1value.
How is PathParam("id") meant to be accessed?
If I do a {code:java} logger.debug("ID equals:" + id);{code}
id returns null always.
My code works just fine as it is but I am new to REST and wanted to follow spec as closely as possible.
Any Ideas?
TIA!Any possible solution for the issue?, so much thanks for it.

Deploy PLSQL web services on weblogic for 11g-URI not working
Dear all,
Scenario:
Using JDeveloper I deployed a web service from a PLSQL package to a war file. After that I deployed that war file on a weblogic (10.3.5) server manually not by using JDeveloper.
The deployment of the admin on the admin server is successfully done. While testing the application on the server itself again successful.
Problem:
But having an issue while trying to do the same using the URL giving in the application server.
404 -Not Found error is coming up.
Solutions tried so far:
Tried putting a html file to the created application in order to get the job done- Did not work out
Please I have no idea how to proceed. Quick responses are much appreciated.

Questions on using a SOAP web service's data in a Crystal Reports report
I'm attempting to create a report using CR 2008, accessing data from a SOAP web service. I've run into a few problems, and need some advice.
1) CR doesn't seem to support WSDL files that use relative URI imports (for example, I have a relatively complicated WSDL file that imports other WSDL files and schemas using relative URI locations). To solve this problem, I have downloaded all of the files to my local hard drive, and changed the "location" attributes to point to local files. Is there any other solution to this problem?
2) CR doesn't seem to support circular references within schema files. To solve this problem, I have removed circular references from my local schema files. Of course, my actual web service will still potentially return data structures with these circular dependencies. Is there any other solution to this problem?
3) CR doesn't seem to support request documents that allow for arrays of elements. For example, my schema allows the user to specify an array of Instruments that should be returned by the web service. In the meantime, I have changed the schema to only specify single instances of the Instrument element in the request. Is there any other solution to this problem?
4) CR doesn't seem to support empty values for optional attributes that are specified in the schema. So, when the "Enter Values" parameter form appears, I am required to enter values for these attributes, even though they are listed as optional in the schema. To avoid this problem, I have commented out the optional attribute values in the schema. Is there any other solution to this problem?
5) When the schema specifies that a value is based on a restricted simple (string) type, the CR parameter form shows a drop list with ellipses (...), but the drop list does not contain the enumerated types specified in my schema. Instead, I must manually enter a value. Do you know of any reason why the drop list is not populated?
6) The SOAP response document from my web service is relatively complicated. So, in the "Data" page of the Standard Report Creation Wizard, each and every XML element level of the response document listed in the schema is shown as a separate entry. If I choose just the top level element ("fetchInstrumentSetResponse"), then very little data is shown on the next page of the wizard (only the ID attribute). But, if I select each and every element type from the response document, CR prompts me for the request document parameters for each row I have selected (I see the same form 30+ times), even though there really should only be a single SOAP request to the web service to return this response document. It seems to be treating each of these elements as a separate "database table", with a different query string for each. Am I using this feature incorrectly?
If you can point me to somewhere in the documentation that handles this in more detail, that would be great (all I could find were the step-by-step instructions on how to connect to a web service as a data source).
Thanks!Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with your directly

Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
Validation error = 16
From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd); System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
1. Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
2. Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
3. Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
4. Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

The how to guide is :
-Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
-Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
-Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
-Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
-Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server. -
Web service client not working with HTTP Analyzer turned on
So the subject explains it all.
I have a simple JAXWS web service with @Policy(uri = "policy:Wssp1.2-2007-Https.xml") on remote secured (real SSL cert) Weblogic 10.3.5.
A simple client is generated in JDev 11.1.2.3 and run on my machine locally.
I'm really not sure I've tuned everything right with client certificates but the thing is when JDeveloper HTTP Analyzer is turned on client run gives bad_certificate SSLException.
With Analyzer turned off the service call is successfull.
javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: [Security:090542]Certificate chain received from localhost - 127.0.0.1 --> wl1n2.miit.ru was not trusted causing SSL handshake failureCould someone explain me this issue?Puthanampatti,
First of all, how am I to determine what security folder is being used for certificates when I run local client in JDev?
My JDev folder is D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.*3* and there's D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.3\jdk160_24\jre\lib\security
My JDEV_USER_DIR is set to another folder: D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.*2* \home so I'm not sure where should I import certificates.
To import a certificate I:
Open our https web site in Chrome browser. Click the HTTPS mark and expoer the certificate as Base64 (does it matter what encoding to use?) .cer file.
Then I open Windows command line and run setDomainEnv in my local weblogic folder:
D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.2\home\system11.1.2.3.39.62.76.1\DefaultDomain\bin\setDomainEnv.exe
cd D:\JDeveloper-11.1.2.3\jdk160_24\jre\lib\security
keytool -import -alias miitcert -keystore cacerts -file d:\cer\miit-base64.cerA bit confusing might be the fact that system11.1.2.*3* folder is inside JDeveloper-11.1.2.*2* folder but that is how it is.
So that were the steps I did to import a certificate, but the problem with HTTP Analyzer is still here.
And what is demotrust.jks? There's no such file in security folder. -
SOAP, Web Service Interaction using Flex 2
A Web Service exists on the local computer. It is a .NET
Framework web service (SOAP) running under IIS. It commences with a
demand for three parameters. One fills in the form and presses a
button on the form and is returned an XML file with vital data
necessary for future web service transactions that will involve
SQL-form queries and XML responses. Actions that Flex 2 is required
to perform: 1) submit a URI and receive a form, 2) POST a response
to the form and receive an XML file, 3) submit a query, 4) reformat
an XML file to remove irrelevant data and to make a Flex 2 data
provider happy so that a chart can be displayed. I assume Flex 2
can do all these things and it is just a matter of knowing how.Your description is a bit confusing. The webservice in
question has a single method that takes three parameters, and
returns a FORM? What are the three parameters, and what, exactly,
do you mean by "form".
When I hear "form", I usually think of an HTML form with text
input fields, comboboxes, radio buttons, etc. But, in general,
properly developed webservices do not return UI elements (such as
text input fields, comboboxes, and radio buttons). They are
typically only used as a communication method in the model layer,
where they return datasets or process responses. And the view layer
(in this case, Flex) is responsible for building any UI elements
that collect data for the interaction with the webservice.
But, okay, let's say, for some odd reason, this webservice
returns a form (as I am thinking of the term). What format is this
form in? I personally can't think of a readily available method
that could display this form with a Flex app, but maybe I'm missing
something. Or is it that, by "form", you mean something completely
different, like a second method in the webservice that receives
posted data? What is actually returned in your step #1?
Step #2 is a cinch. Simply create an HTTPService tag (or in
script, create URLLoader and URLRequest objects) in your app that
posts the appropriate data to the appropriate webservice URL with
the appropriate method. In the callback handler function for that
webservice call, a (properly formatted) XML response will be
converted automatically to a "Flex-friendly" data object, which you
can easily parse apart to build your SQL as necessary.
Step #3, again, where do you submit the query to? A third
method in the webservice? If so, it would be just like #2 above.
And the response data would, again, be automatically converted into
a Flex data object.
Step #4 would probably be accomplished more by manipulating
the Flex data object rather than any reformatting of the XML.
Simply loop through the object and remove irrelevant children/data.
Then set a bindable variable to the cleaned data object, and have
your chart bound to that variable.
There are many many examples on the web. Just search for
'flex "mx:HTTPService"' or similar. And take a look through
LiveDocs for [Bindable] for step #4.
