Webdynpro table sorting problem, its hiding the table while sorting

Hello All,
I have a stardard webdynpro application in our portal, when i am pressing sorting button on a table it is hiding the table,
please share your idea and please help me to get it resloved,

let's try to narrow down the problem:
please tell us which application it is about. Is it reproducible for any kind of table in any other standard webdynpro for java applications, or only for this one? Do you face this problem when you use any kind of browsers like firefox, internet explorer?

I have a scenario in which I have to create a adobeform from webdynpro application.
I have created the form and have the context designed in place.
I am facing a problem in the table I have in my adobeform.
I am adding rows to this table dynamically using a button using "addInstance"
Now on the webdynpro side , when I try to read this table I get a single row from this table.
This row is always the first row of that table.
I checked the following things from blog   /people/juergen.hauser2/blog/2006/09/12/avoiding-common-mistakes-when-using-tables-on-sap-interactive-forms , i.e. :
Cardinality of the node.
Tick on the option "Repeat Row for Each Data Item".
But still no success.
With deadlines to catch I had to post this question after trying a lot.Please help.

I had found this link before and used the same solution , but unfortunately is taking a long time.
Now what I am doing is :
1. I append 10 rows into the table then bind it to the node
2. Then on the adobe form I have removed the check on "Add row for each line item" because of which it shows only 1 row
     on the form.
     Now I add rows dynamically, but this puts a limit on the number of rows can be added to the table i.e. 10.
But this again has added problems like while displaying the form or modifying I hav to handle it seperately and cannot use the same form as it is.( as I have removed the tick for "Add row for each line item" ).

Remove/Hide sort for one of the table column

   I have applied the sort functionality for the table control. But for only column i dont need the sort function.
I have tried with the below code before doing sorting...but i dont see any result....

    I couldn't find any problem in the code.
Whether that is the first method you are initializing the alv model?
Try this, Comment the whole code in that method. Activate the whole component including views and then uncomment the code.

Sorting the content of table at first showing of the table

I can't find the solution of this very important case
Suppose this very simple scenario:
I have master-detail relation between two tables
and I try to show the content of detail table in some order (ascending order of first column)
Also in UI I want to see the sorting icon
I do this with generating of CustomEvent in OnLeadSelect
      HashMap map = new HashMap();
      map.put("col", "Version");
      IWDCustomEvent wdEvent = new CustomEvent("onActionSort", map, true);
      wdThis.onActionSort(wdEvent);
but unfortunately my detail table is ordered alternately
(asc and desc order)
In WD tutorials I find the tutorial for sorting the table
but sorting is triggered by user action - I want sorting to be executed programmatically and to be executed always in asc order

I am using a supply function - and sorting there is workaround - but the user can not see the sorting icon on the proper column - the first appear of icon is when user click on the column header for first time.
I want user to see which column is sorted initially

Problem with showing the table after advancing to another form.

Actually we have designed a search engine that displays results of candidates in a JTable upon clicking the 'Search' button.
we also have 'Advance Further' button to proceed to another form (form1)which allows the user to further narrow down the search.
well my problem is that how to display the search results in the JTable of main screen upon clicking 'Search' button in the form1.

Problem in accessing the table

My database in 10g (10.2.0.4), I have created one user TEST and given insert,update,delete on ABC table to TEST from XYZ user.
Also,
Grant select any table to test;
but when i connect with test and accessing tables of xyz it is showing error 'table or view does not exist' and i select the table with xyz.abc then i can select the table of xyz.
I do not want to create any synonyms for this table. Can you please help while accessing the table from TEST user without username.tablename

AnandGiven your other requirements/restrictions, your only option is to create a synonym. Why do you not want to do that? If you have many of them, you can "write a sql to write a sql"

Unable to descripe the table and unable to drop the table

I have a temp table that we use like staging table to import the data in to the main table through some scheduled procedures.And that will dropped every day and will be created through the script.
Some how while I am trying to drop the table manually got hanged, There after I could not find that table in dba_objects, dba_tables or any where.
But Now I am unable to create that table manually(Keep on running the create command with out giving any error), Even I am not getting any error (keep on running )if I give drop/desc of table.
Can you please any one help on this ? Is it some where got stored the table in DB or do we any option to repair the table ?

if this table drops then it moved DBA_RECYCLEBIN table. and also original name of its changed automatically by oracle.
For example :
SQL> create table tst (col varchar2(10), row_chng_dt date);
Table created.
SQL> insert into tst values ('Version1', sysdate);

SQL> select * from tst ;
COL        ROW_CHNG
Version1   16:10:03
If the RECYCLEBIN initialization parameter is set to ON (the default in 10g), then dropping this table will place it in the recyclebin:
SQL> drop table tst;
Table dropped.
SQL> select object_name, original_name, type, can_undrop as "UND", can_purge as "PUR", droptime
2 from recyclebin
SQL> /
OBJECT_NAME                    ORIGINAL_NAME TYPE UND PUR DROPTIME

All that happened to the table when we dropped it was that it got renamed. The table data is still there and can be queried just like a normal table:
SQL> alter session set nls_date_format='HH24:MI:SS' ;
Session altered.
SQL> select * from "BIN$HGnc55/7rRPgQPeM/qQoRw==$0" ;
COL        ROW_CHNG
Version1   16:10:03
Since the table data is still there, it's very easy to "undrop" the table. This operation is known as a "flashback drop". The command is FLASHBACK TABLE... TO BEFORE DROP, and it simply renames the BIN$... table to its original name:
SQL> flashback table tst to before drop;
Flashback complete.
SQL> select * from tst ;
COL        ROW_CHNG
Version1   16:10:03
SQL> select * from recyclebin ;
no rows selected
It's important to know that after you've dropped a table, it has only been renamed; the table segments are still sitting there in your tablespace, unchanged, taking up space. This space still counts against your user tablespace quotas, as well as filling up the tablespace. It will not be reclaimed until you get the table out of the recyclebin. You can remove an object from the recyclebin by restoring it, or by purging it from the recyclebin.

When I mail merge a message that incudes a table with an excel spreadsheet, the table disappears and the data appears in list form

I've tried both creating the table using Thunderbird, as well as creating the table in Word first and the problem is the same. I've reinstalled and updated both the mail merge add on and Thunderbird.

If you do not need all the excel specific items you can just write it to a spreadsheet using the write to spreadsheet file vi's.
If you want to go the excel route you will have to use active x. you can see a lot of examples on the excel board under the breakpoint forum. please post a sample of how you want your data to look and I can maybe help explain what options you have. and also oyu do not necesarily need the report generation toolkit.

Passing values to an internal table and use it with the table painter

I have seen this topic here before but the answers didn't help me. Maybe I,m doing something wrong.
The problem is that I defined the following structure on the |Types| tab of the |Global Definitions| section:
TYPES: BEGIN OF DETAILS,
       EBELP TYPE EKPO-EBELP,
       BSMNG TYPE EBAN-BSMNG,
       LFDAT TYPE RM06P-LFDAT,
END OF DETAILS.
Then defined the following definition on the |Global Data| section:
WA_DETAILS TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF DETAILS WITH HEADER LINE
The problem is that when I try to assign a value to one of the fields in the program code like this:
LOOP AT WA_EKPO.
     WA_DETAILS-EBELP = WA_EKPO-EBELP.
     WA_DETAILS-EMATN = WA_EKPO-EMATN.
     MODIFY WA_DETAILS.
ENDLOOP.
gives me the following error:
"WA_DETAILS" is not an internal table -the "OCCURS n" specification is missing.
Then if I add the "OCCURS 10" to the definition of the Global Data the error "OCCURS 10" is not expected.
How can I define, assign values and use as a parameter an internal table defined with types for use it with the table painter?

The master database records all the system-level information for a SQL Server system, so best practise would be not to create any user-defined
object within it.
To change your default database(master by default) of your login to another, follow the next steps so that next time when connected you don't have to use "USE dbname" to switch database.
Open SQL Server Management Studio
--> Go to Object explorer(the left panel by default layout)
--> Extend "Security"
--> Extend "Logins"
--> Right click on your login, click "propertites"
--> Choose the "Default database" at the bottom of the pop-up window.

How to insert a row in Tree table which is dragged from the table?

The requirement is i need to "drag" a row from the Table and place it under any parent node in the Tree table.
What i have done is I make the Tree table as ".ui-sortable" and table as a "draggable".
I am not able to find the position of the dragged item when i dropped it in the Treetable.
Please provide me a solution.

If that is what you mean, I tried that and there was no change in behavior. (Still does not highlight the correct row in the tree table upon execution of the next method for the bindings) Does anyone have any sample code they can provide that works?

Instead of pulling data and filling the next rows down it is giving me a separate sheet per data. This worked fine in Word/Excel. What am I missing here?

AND COLUMN_NAME='<COLUMN_NAME>'
I want to compare two schemas for the same above query .
Can we wirte a query on this - I am using SQL DEVELOPER , which has menu item - TOOL - database differneces to find the diffenence between two schemas but my requirement is to find the differences in two schemas for all the tables matching for a particular column ( as given in quer).
Appreciate your help.

This is the SQL and PL/SQL forum. If you have a question about SQL Developer, then the SQL Developer is a better place to post it. Mark this thread as "Answered" before starting another thread for the same question.
If SQL Developer has a tool for doing what you want, don't waste your time trying to devise a SQL solution. The SQL Developer way will probably be simpler, more efficient and more reliable.
If you do need to try a SQL solution, then post some sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for a table that resembles all_tab_columns; you can call it my_tab_columns) and the results you want from that data.
