is there any idea ?

Hi Frank,
i see there is no independent adfinstaller for 11g yet,
we should have install by jdeveloper11g.
java -jar jdevstudio11110install.jar (on linux)
Thanks.

  • ADF 11g Deployment on other webservers

    Hi All
    can i deploy my ADF 11g R2 application on web server not WebLogic server , something like ibm WebSphere or Apache
    thanks

    Have you checked the certification matrix at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/jdev11gr2-cert-405181.html#Application_Servers ?

  • ADF 11g inheritance problem

    Hi
    Giving a look on ADF 11g model Business Components, I tried to have a generic component A and its extended component B.
    A has an id primary key attribute and if i generate a database table it has the PK generated, but B has no PK generated since the extended attribute is marked with the PK property.
    I used Jdeveloper 11g 11.1.1.1.0, and built two components from a BC diagram.
    Questions,
    is it a good practice to have a master generic component with common id version and audit attributes ?
    why the pk constraint is not built on database table for extended components ?
    Thanks for your answers

    The screen goes normal when I place the cursor over the top of the app and I don't get any height=100% on my page.
    I noticed that some pages that have the table component on it don't get this bug.
    I see the last release and the EL to get the agent detects the IE8 normally but that is some way to port my app to it??
    Thanks in advance,
    Renan.

  • ADF 11g deployment

    Hi,
    I installed Jdeveloper 11g production ver. with Weblogic 10.3 , i made a sample application using ADF BC and it worked well.
    the question is how to deploy this application to weblogic server?
    and if there any document that could help plz give me it's link.
    Thanx 4 help

    Start with Section 32 of the Fusion Developers Guide for Oracle ADF (Deploying Fusionb Web Applications) - it's in the online help - just search for "deploy" and you'll find it.
    As a word of advice it's a good idea to convert your ADF BC project to use a Datasource for it's connection if you're not doing so already, then define that datasource in the WebLogic domain. That's simpler than moving the credential file across which contains the connection information.

  • ADF webapp deployment problem...

    I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 and making some ADF web application.
    Actually deploying to Weblogic has no problem.
    But when I access to the web page, I got a NullPointerException like this:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.adf.model.binding.DCIteratorBinding.getSortCriteria(DCIteratorBinding.java:3710)
    at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlRangeBinding.__getSortCriteria(FacesCtrlRangeBinding.java:261)
    at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlHierBinding$FacesModel.getSortCriteria(FacesCtrlHierBinding.java:405)
    at org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.component.UIXCollection.getSortCriteria(UIXCollection.java:476)
    It seems it can't get a data control.
    But when I try on my integrated WLS, it works fine.
    Why did it fail?
    Thanks.

    Thanks, pino.
    But I think why it works fine on Local Integrated WLS.
    it failed only on remote WLS.

  • Weblogic 10.3.0.0 deployment problem

    Hi All,
    Im trying to deploy a hibernate application i.e app1.war file on Weblogic 10.3.0.0 and it shows following error on console while deploying(Please have a look at the bottom section which contains exception details captured from log file) :
    Error An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
    Error Failed to load webapp: 'app1.war'
    Error org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl
    The org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl problem, i.e it point is to the DocumentBuilder file --
    org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl cannot be cast to javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory
    The jar file i have in my app is 'xerces-2.6.2' & the jar present in the weblogic is of version 2.8.1 i guess..
    When i remove the xerces-2.6.2.jar from my application the war gets deployed but webapp wasnt working properly as the jar required was removed.
    Later i tried adding the weblogic versioned xercesImpl.jar file but still couldnt crack the issue.
    I also tried adding the following in the weblogic-application.xml file of META-INF folder :
    <weblogic-application xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <prefer-application-packages>
    <package-name>org.apache.xerces.*</package-name>
    <package-name>org.apache.oro.*</package-name>
    <package-name>org.apache.commons.*</package-name>
    <package-name>org.apache.log4j.*</package-name>
    <package-name>org.apache.axis.transport.http.*</package-name>
    <package-name>org.jdom.xpath.*</package-name>
    </prefer-application-packages>
    </weblogic-application>
    Before this exception i was getting the antlr.jar file problems(i.e queries werent executing.. stopped @ first query itself)... so i added the following in the weblogic.xml file located under WEB-INF folder to make it work :
    <weblogic-web-app>
    <container-descriptor>
    <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>
    </container-descriptor>
    </weblogic-web-app>
    Error occurring due to antlr.jar file :
    {"message":"system failure: SQL: 'select currencyCode from OprationalLocation where code = ? and domainCode=?'","success":false}

    Can anyone guide me this issue, how should i deploy my app with the required changes so that my app works seamlessly with the libraries provided in the /lib folder?
    Any kind of help would be priceless!

    Hi Mohtashim,
    System.setProperty("javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory","new-factory");
    In this case The Property will be set at the System level ...means the JVM level where this code get executed will be effected...and if any other application is running on that JVM ..then that application also will be affected by this property.
    So For Application specific setting please use:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <weblogic-application xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application/1.0/weblogic-application.xsd" xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application">

    using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3. with Firebird database.
    I've created ADF BC application, added firebird jar to project.
    I am instantiating driver for database this way:
    Class.forName("org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver");This is my connection string:
    jdbc:firebirdsql:127.0.0.1:test, where test is firebird alias for C:\db\test.fdb
    Application works fine in JDeveloper. I've created deployment profile, added Main class,
    created Dependency Analysis where I've included all libraries shown in Contributors and have chosen "Include Contents in Output". All jars in Profile Dependencies are chosen.
    When I deploy application, and run it with "java -jar app.jar", I get next error:
    java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
            at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
            at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)When I choose "Include JAR Files in Output", I get next error:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdeveloper/lay

            at com.firm.manord.FormMain.<init>(FormMain.java:152)
            at com.firm.manord.FormMain.main(FormMain.java:568)When I choose "Add to Dependency Analyzer Classpath", I get next error:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver
            at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
            at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)

            at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
            at java.lang.Class.forName(Unknown Source)These are jars included in Dependency Analysis -> Libraries:
    JDeveloper Runtime -> jdev-rt.jar
    Jaybird-2.1.2.jar -> jaybird-full-2.1.2.jar
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks in advance.

    It seems my problem is little more complex. I've tested DriverManager for firebird driver.
    It is there all right. All dependencies are resolved.
    Here is output when I run application from JDeveloper:
    1)Enumeration e = DriverManager.getDrivers();
    while (e.hasMoreElements()) {
      Object driverAsObject = e.nextElement();
      System.out.println("JDBC Driver=" + driverAsObject);
    }OUTPUT: "JDBC Driver=org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver@a83a13"
    So, there is only firebird driver...
    2)
    System.out.println(connString);OUTPUT: "jdbc:firebirdsql:localhost:test"
    3)
    System.out.println("CAN OPEN: " + DriverManager.getDrivers().nextElement().acceptsURL("jdbc:firebirdsql:localhost:test"));OUTPUT: "CAN OPEN: true"
    When I deploy and run, everything is the same except in 3) where output is
    OUTPUT: "CAN OPEN: false";
    So, I can connect to database from JDeveloper, but when I try the same thing from deployed app (when driver is loaded) I get error.
    The problem is in connection, but I can't understand why...
    Connection string is obviously not the problem.
    Any ideas?

  • ADF Swing Deployment problem

    Hi,
    I have an ADF Swing project completed.
    I can run my application from Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3 successfully.
    Now we are ready to go to production.
    I want to generate a simple JAR file which can be called like - java -jar MyApp.jar
    To generate MyApp.jar:
    1) I have created a new group in the deployment profile file and specify to add the Manifest.
    2) I added all the jars found in my application log file (the logs when jdev run my app.).
    3) I Specify the full path to my MainForm.class
    4) I have added all my classes
    5) Finally I generated to JAR from jdeveloper
    6) I copied the MyApp.jar into the JDK\bin folder of my Jdeveloper (to avoid potential java version conflict)
    Problem: When I try to run my app from the JDK\bin folder with java -jar MyApp.jar, I got the error Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: .....
    My question is : Does anybody either successed in deploying an ADF Swing application using Jdeveloper. If yes, how?
    I have read dozen of articles from this forum, nobody seemed to successed deploying ADF Swing application.
    Thanks.
    houevoton.

    Gentlmen, thank very much.
    I have made a big progress.
    First, I have deploy a simple form based on Steve's scenario. It works fine. I learn from this the role of each type of File Group in a deployment profile.
    I also read and dowload the following show case http://verveja.footsteps.be/~verveja/files/oracle/JarStuffThread615655-v0.01.zip
    It works fine. I get how to include an external jar in my deployment file.
    However, I am still having a small problem with my generated JAR.
    In fact my workspace has 3 projects.
    1- AppUtils.jpr contains my utility classes (date utilities, system constants, etc.)
    2- Model.jpr contains BC entities, views objects and the AppModule.
    3- View.jpr where my forms and panels are.
    All those 3 projects are in the same workspace, which is slightly diffrent from the example of the show case above.
    I created a deployment profile and add two File Groups:
    - The first group is simple "Packaging" group and I check all utilities classes required in my application.
    - The second one is a "Dependency Analysis" group following process described by Steve.
    When I generate and run MyApp.jar, I get error [b]JBO-30003: The application pool (full.path.AppModuleLocal) failed to checkout an application.
    Since yesterday I was struggling with this. I am not able to understand why this message.
    My AppModule is well configured with credentials to connect to the target database. I tested it and it is ok.
    I can run the application from within Jdeveloper without trouble.
    Once again, I need your help.
    Thank in advance.
    houevoton.

  • ADF 11g - Deployed app (WLS 10.3) fall into endless loop

    My application runs just fine in the embedded WLS in JDeveloper 11. But when deployed to standalone WLS, the application is suddenly fall into endless redirect loop.
    I tried to put out any filter that might cause the problem, including JpsFilter to no result.
    The console output when a request came in is as shown in http://pastebin.com/f60edd84d . The last line of the log is when firefox detected an endless redirect loop and decided to halt.
    Server log shows repeated entry of:
    Redirect is executed in begin or refresh action. Redirect url is /console/console.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=DiagnosticsViewDomainLogTablePage&DiagnosticsViewDomainLogTablePortlethandle=com.bea.console.handles.LogDispatchHandle%28%22AdminServer%3BDomainLog%22%29
    What could be the problem?
    Thanks.
    Rgds,
    Rudi Adianto

    I wanted to mention, when it occurs while rendering the page (as can be seen from the stack traces) that its occurring when rendering a tag. Here is one of the tags in my JSP page, specifically one where I think it could be hanging. Does anyone see anything fishy? This tag is an Oracle ADF tag and the "param" variable is a local loop variable. I jus recently added the " || !financialBean.profitAssistant.paDataEditable" part but I don't know if thats the cause of the problem. This does not occur everytime, it just seems like when there is a good amount of load on the system.
    <af:inputText simple="true"
         id=         "tlInputTextParam"
         value=      "#{param.textValue}"
         rendered=   "#{param.rendered}"
         disabled=   "#{param.disabled  || !financialBean.profitAssistant.paDataEditable}"
         styleClass= "#{param.styleClass}"
         inlineStyle="#{param.style}"
         columns=    "#{param.componentSize}"
         onchange=   "#{param.onChangeJS}"
         onclick=    "#{param.onClickJS}"
         onkeydown=  "#{param.onKeyDownJS}"
         onfocus=    "#{param.onFocusJS}"
         onblur=     "#{param.onBlurJS}"
         onmouseover="try{this.title='#{param.description}';#{param.onMouseOverValueJS}}catch(e){}"

  • ADF Application deployment problem in JBoss

    Hi,
    I have developed a JSF/EJB 3.0 Application in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 and successfully accessed data using ADF Faces page which was run on the embedded OC4J container.
    Then, I deployed the same Application with modifications given in the ADF Developers guide. The application deploys in JBoss successfully and when I access the page, I get the following error:
    Error
    JBO-25221: Method SessionEJB.dataProvider.queryFindAll() not supported
    No stack trace is displayed on the JBoss console. Please help me, I'm stuck here without any clue.
    If somebody has done an App that uses ADF and EJB 3 and deployd in JBoss and accessed successfuly, please give the details of the changes to be done in the Application.
    Thanks,
    Prashan.

    Please post the deployment errors.

  • How to deploy a secured ADF 11g application to WebLogic 10.3 server?

    Hi,
    I have just enabled security in our ADF 11g application, as descripbed in [chapter 29|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/adding_security.htm#insertedID0] of the Fusion Developer's Guide. It works fine in the embedded WebLogic server of JDeveloper.
    Now I'm trying to deploy to our WebLogic 10.3 server, which runs in production mode. I'm running into all sorts of problems. The WebLogic console seems to have hundreds of security related pages, I don't know which one I should use, let alone how to use it. The Fusion Developer's Guide doesn't cover deployment to a production server:
    >
    When the target server is configured for production mode, you typically handle the migration task outside of JDeveloper using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager. For details about using tools outside of JDeveloper to migrate the policy store to the domain-level in a production environment, see the [Oracle Fusion Middleware Security Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/core.1111/e10043/toc.htm].
    >
    However, this guide is of very little help to me. I found [chapter 7|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/core.1111/e10043/addlsecfea.htm#insertedID0], which says "The recommended tool is Fusion Middleware Control." I have no idea what "Fusion Middleware Control" is, where to get it and how to use it.
    Long story short: I'm totally lost. I'm looking for a step by step guide on how to deploy a secured ADF 11g application to a WegLogic 10.3 server that is running in production mode. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Ok, I found a [very helpful blog post |http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/01/practical-adf-security-deployment-on.html] by [Andrejus Baranovski|http://www.blogger.com/profile/04468230464412457426]. I wish Oracle's documentation was as clear as this...
    The blog post refers to an article by Steve Muench, called [Simplified ADF 11g Application Credential and Policy Migration to Standalone WebLogic Servers|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/credmig111100/index.html]. This article presents an Ant script that migrates policies from JDeveloper to WebLogic, using some PFM. (See the last definition here.)
    The problem is that Steve Muench's script assumes that JDeveloper and the standalone WebLogic are on the same machine. However, in a typical environment, such as the one I'm working in currently, this is not the case. In our case the developer stations are Windows machines, while our WebLogic server runs on a HP-UX machine. So the question is: how to perform this migration between two machines with different operating systems?

    Hi,
    Did you configure your application module to use a JDBC data source? To do this, right-click the app module in the navigator, select Configurations and in the dialog that comes up change the connection type to JDBC Data Source and enter your data source name - which should be the same as the data source you created on the weblogic server.
    Also, I do suggest you create an EAR file - this is what we've tested and certified with. You can find more details in the deployment chapter of the fusion developer's guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/deployment_topics.htm#CHDJJDDG.
    Hope this helps
    Blaise

    in Weblogic datasource name is the same
    Question: how to bind my application in weblogic to existed connection/datasource in weblogic?
    how Jdev deploys and configures Weblogic server, that it works fine, but when i start THE SAME server manually, deploy application using JDEV the application execution failed (see above exception)
    maybe i should use EAR profile instead of WAR, to deploy all connections and other stuff to weblogic?

    Hi,
    Did you configure your application module to use a JDBC data source? To do this, right-click the app module in the navigator, select Configurations and in the dialog that comes up change the connection type to JDBC Data Source and enter your data source name - which should be the same as the data source you created on the weblogic server.
    Also, I do suggest you create an EAR file - this is what we've tested and certified with. You can find more details in the deployment chapter of the fusion developer's guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/deployment_topics.htm#CHDJJDDG.
    Hope this helps

  • Urgent!!! Need help with ADF 11g app deployment

    Hi,
    My application is designed using ADF 11g and am using adfc-config.xml for page flow.
    Through Jdev 11g integrated WLS server the application is running smoothly.
    But when i deployed application using EAR file on WLS 11g server and accessed the appliction, the page flow didnt worked.
    That is i tried opening login page of my application, it opened. Then i provided login credentials , they were successfully validated.
    But after that the application home page did not apperaed and application stuck at Login page only. The page flow didnt worked.

    Thanks Timo/Arun,
    The problem was same as figured by you. :)
    The application is running smoothly in IE7 but in Mozilla 3.0.15 it is not running.
    There it is throwing error:
    Error 404--Not Found
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    +10.4.5 404 Not Found+
    The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
    If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
    Any pointers to this ...
    Thanks n Regards
