Weblogic 9.2 server and remote debug

Hi,
How do you modify the weblogic server startup script so that Eclipse (3.3) remote debugger can be attached to?
Thanks

set debugFlag=true and start your weblogic.
look in setDomainEnv.cmd for the default DEBUG_PORT.

  • Test server and remote server

The sync button syncs files from the local view to the remote server. How
do you sync files from the local view to the test server?
    Best,
    Christopher

When you created your site in Dreamweaver, you gave it a name and defined a local site folder, right? You shouldn't have to do that twice to add a remote server.
In Site Setup > Servers, you will have to define a new server however if you want to keep your testing server. But this should not cause any conflicts, because they are both pointing to the same local folder in XAMPP, right?
If I know I'm going to need a testing server, I make sure that my site folder is in my XAMPP/htdocs/ folder. That way I don't have to bother with having to keep track of two versions of the same site. Then when it's time to upload it to the remote server, I'm just adding a new server, and checking the "Remote" box.
One site, two servers ( Local/Network & FTP), no conflicts.

  • X Server and remote access from Windows

I am contemplating installing a MacMini Server running X Server but different people may need admin access, not all of them on Macs.
Is there a way where some of the server maintenance is done from a Windows machine using some sort of RDC program or is the only option to do the RDC from a Mac?

Out of the box OS X will provide access to nearly any VNC client. Many version exist for Windows. You just need to explicitly permit standard VNC access and provide a password. This can be done in System Preferences > Sharing > Remote Management > Computer Settings.
In that dialog, check "VNC viewers may control screen with password" and set a password. In leopard the text box had a character limit. I have not tested in Snow yet. If you run into a problem, you can use the kickstart command line tool as it appears to have no character limit.
Oh, one other tip. Many Window's VNC clients will fail to establish a connection. This is because the screen depth is set to low. Make sure you set the number of colors on the VNC client to the highest it will go.
    Hope this helps

  • Exchange Server and Remote Access to Public Calendar

    Hello:
We use Outlook 2010 with Exchange Server at the 45 person architecture firm I work at.
We have a public calendar (set up in public folders) that is used by staff to note their time away from the office (doctor’s appt, vacation, client meeting, etc). The owner of the company wants to be able to remotely access that public calendar to be
able to know when staff are out of the office.  Can it be set up on his Surface 2 or phone (iPhone) so that when he’s not in the office, he can see that public calendar?
I’ve search online and from what I can tell, the only way to make it work is with third party software.
Is that true?  Or is there another way to make it work?  Is VPN an option?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I'm going to attempt to activate Anywhere soon, probably early next week. I found a site that does a step-by-step of the Anywhere setup and I have a couple of questions based on those steps (here's the site - http://exchangeserverpro.com/how-to-configure-exchange-server-2010-outlook-anywhere/)
After the Anywhere wizard opens, it says this - "The external host name you choose should ideally be one that is already included in the Exchange certificate configured on the Client Access server. Otherwise you will need to create a new certificate for
Exchange." So I can name the external host, where do I find the Exchange cert? When accessing the firewall to allow Anywhere through, it says this: To enable remote Outlook users to connect to Outlook Anywhere the perimeter firewall for the network must
be configured to allow the SSL/HTTPS connections to pass through to the Client Access server. The precise steps for this will depend on which firewall you are using in your environment. However the basic components of this configuration are: •A public DNS
record for the external host name you are using for Outlook Anywhere •A public IP address on the firewall that the public DNS record resolves to •A NAT or publishing rule to allow SSL/HTTPS connections to reach the Client Access server

    Hi,
the dev zone document says that if you already have an HTML document, you can embed a VI in the HTML document so a client computer can view and control the front panel of the VI in a browser. It doesn't speak about store multiple html pages in web server. So maybe you are not refering to the right document. I don't think that you can manage multiple html pages from LabVIEW.

  • Remote debugging issue: Address already in use

First, I want to explain that to use remote debugging in oracle UCM server (IdcServerNT.exe), I add these lines at */server/bin/intradoc.cfg*:
    JAVA_OPTIONS_debug_enable=-Xdebug
    JAVA_OPTIONS_debug_options=-Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=8000,suspend=n
and since the JAVA_OPTIONS is shared between admin server (IdcAdminNT.exe) and non-admin server (IdcServerNT.exe), to prevent "Address already in use" error, I added same lines but with empty value into */server/admin/bin/intradoc.cfg*:
    JAVA_OPTIONS_debug_enable=
    JAVA_OPTIONS_debug_options=
or alternatively enable it but use different port for the "address=xxx".
Now the issue is when I had run the non-admin UCM server with remote debugging enabled, then I tried to run the Component Wizard, I got "Address already in use" error:
ERROR: transport error 202: bind failed: Address already in use ["transport.c",L41]
I found out that's possible because Component Wizard (ComponentWizard.exe) is using same setting file with non-admin server (IdcServerNT.exe): */server/bin/intradoc.cfg*. It's obvious that happened because of ComponentWizard.exe is in same location with IdcServerNT.exe, so I think other tools like Batch Loader and System Properties will be affected with same issue too.
Because of this issue, everytime I want to open Component Wizard, I had to stop the non-admin server which is inconvenient.
So, the question is there a way to define separately or disable the JAVA_OPTIONS_debug_enable & JAVA_OPTIONS_debug_options for Component Wizard?

Extending Thread is the wrong approach, since you're not creating a special kind of Thread.

  • Step Over not working with Remote Debugging of Servlets with JRUN

    Platform: JRun 4, JDK 1.4.1, JDev 9.0.3
using JPDA and copied jpda.jar to JDEV_HOME/java1.2/jre/lib/ext and set path to jar in app server path.
    using debug args: java.args=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5000
ok, I'm able to attach JDeveloper to JRun and remotely debug by jumping from breakpoint to breakpoint but stepover causes JDeveloper to continue execution to completion or to next breakpoint. Any idea why step over does not work? The only way to halt execution during remote debugging is by using breakpoints.
Thanks in advance for any insight to this issue.

    Hi Bob,
I think OTN ate the other thread. It says there are 4 replies, but it won't display them. Here's my latest reply.
I just noticed something interesting from your original message. You say you are using JDK 1.4.1 for the app server (that's good) and you are using JDev 903. But you say you have copied jpda.jar to JDEV_HOME\java1.2. That doesn't make sense because JDev 903 didn't have a java1.2 directory; I think JDev 903 has a jdk directory which contains JDK 1.3 (actually 1.3.1_03 or something like that).
Also, jpda.jar is really old and the directions for using jpda.jar and for putting jpda\bin on the app server path is really old. Those directions were needed for JDK 1.2 because JPDA was released AFTER the JDK 1.2 was released. Starting with JDK 1.3, jpda is built in and you don't need the jdpa.jar or the jpda\bin, etc.
All this reminds me that in JDK 1.2, HotSpot had bugs where stepping didn't work!!! I'm almost positive that this is what you are experiencing. Here is my advice:
    1. Make absolutely sure that you are using JDK 1.4.1 (or at least JDK 1.3 or later) for running your app server. Make sure that you are not using JDK 1.2 - you may have modified your app server so that it uses JDEV_HOME\java1.2\bin\java.exe[i]Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

  • Android Remote Debugging Help

    Hi everybody,
I'm using Flash Professional CS6 and am trying to deploy my application to an android device and remotely debug it via wifi, but the problem is that it won't automatically install the app on the device.
Debugging works if I transfer the .apk file, install it manually and then try to debug, but I'm sure that there is a better way.
I'm trying to set up Flash Professional so that it automatically installs the file on the device and then starts the debugging session.
I know this can be done via USB, but I would prefer to do it via wifi.
    Thank you.

Under the project run/debug settings make sure you checked the remote debug option.
