Weblogic.jndi.internal.RootNamingNode by Startup
Hi,
I have definied a ConnectionPool, but in Startup exception raised:
Anyone knows why?
Interesting, I can see my connectionpool in "View JNDI tree" at the Consol. But
trying to use it from an EJB exception raised:
java.sql.SQLException: Connection Pool SEOInterBaseConnectionPool does not exist.

I was install j2re-1_4_05_windows_i586_i.exe and copy weblogic.jar file in true directory .I set the archive attribute of the applet tag to weblogic.jar path.
Can any body help me!
Thank a lotHi Famoniri,
I guess you have used weblogic specific libraries for looking up. IE does not know about this class and hence java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
If the above is the cause of the problem, try packaging the weblogic jar files with the applet(not a good idea!) or use the standard javax.naming packages(may be a good idea!).
The problem causer is weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactoryDelegate.newRootNamingNodeStub which is trying to load classes which are not prsent in its viscinity.
Let me know if this helps.

Weblogic JNDI lookup in Applet
Hi
We are facing problem in JNDI lookup inside the applet
here is the scenario
We have two weblogic servers(port 7001)
one server is main server where the Applet1 , weblogic.jar and app.htm
are in C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp_myserver
and another is proxy server where HTTPProxyServlet is running and one
web.xml file ( wall these files are provided by weblogic and the port
of proxy server is 448)
Both the servers are running on different machines
and when we run the client browser and put the folloing url
http://proxyServer IP Address:448/app.htm
we get the following exception
Java(TM) Plug-in: Version 1.3.0-C
Using JRE version 1.3.0 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:\Documents and Settings\kkumar
Proxy Configuration: no proxy

Hi
We are facing problem in JNDI lookup inside the applet
here is the scenario
We have two weblogic servers(port 7001)
one server is main server where the Applet1 , weblogic.jar and app.htm
are in C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp_myserver
and another is proxy server where HTTPProxyServlet is running and one
web.xml file ( wall these files are provided by weblogic and the port
of proxy server is 448)
Both the servers are running on different machines
and when we run the client browser and put the folloing url
http://proxyServer IP Address:448/app.htm
we get the following exception

Using JRE version 1.3.0 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:\Documents and Settings\kkumar
Proxy Configuration: no proxy

Regular RMI server object with WebLogic JNDI
Is that possible to register a regular RMI object with WebLogic JNDI
tree? I was building a simple program (using javac and rmic only) based
on the java.rmi.* (without changing the import statements to
weblogic.rmi.*) and using the weblogic.jndi to register the server
object. Below is some piece of code,
Context ctx = null;
Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
"weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
ht.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://172.20.20.20:7001");
ctx = new InitialContext(ht);
ctx.bind("HelloServer", obj);
The code failed for the following reason,
javax.naming.NamingException. Root exception is
java.rmi.MarshalException: failed to marshal public abstract void
weblogic.jndi.internal.NamingNode.bind(java.lang.String,java.lang.Object,java.util.Hashtable)
throws javax.naming.NamingException,java.rmi.RemoteException; nested
exception is:

Any suggestions would be very helpfulI'm not promising that I'll be one of the individuals to try to help, but for starters don't you think what you posted so far is completely insufficient? Don't you think showing what you think is the relevant code and configuration would be more relevant than just saying you already think you're doing it right?
All that's left for someone remote so far, is to say: Well obviously you're doing something wrong. But since we don't know what you're really doing, we can't tell you. -

2. My SOA server is coming up but in admin mode and giving OPSS connections errors.
Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks,
SKHi Faisal -
is your domain in development mode or production mode?
- While configuring my domian , I had selected Prod Mode, but pon start up when I see in admin server console, it is starting in developement mode already ?
Any idea how, why ?
if its production mode you can switch to development mode, change all the credentials in the config.xml and configurations under sub folders to cleartext and start the server..
- Let me still try these and get back to you.
Thanks,
SK -

krishnaThis error line does hint that you do have the required JARs in the classpath but there may be version different. If jar is missing you would have NoClassDefFound Error. But it say method signature not found. May be the jar that you are using do not have this method. Try using other version of the jar. Incase if you have like any java decompiler, you can always open this .class file and see if this method signature exists in that class.
Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.objectweb.asm.ClassVisitor.visit(IILjava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;[Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)V
I do not know anything about asm, but just incase if this class happens to exist in any other package also but with different APIs (older versions) and you are referring them first. Usually this happens if we have same class with diff versions in diff jars and the order in which this class gets loaded. So if you have this same class but latest version put those JARs in the first before asm jars. You gave list of some packages, put the asm package in the end and see if that helps. Its just a hint as we do run into these kind of issues specially with diff version os Struts jars that we use everyday with weblogic.

Java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic/jndi/WLInitialContextFactory
Hi All,
I am getting the below error repeatedly in logs after installing BP7 in OIM 11gR2. wlclient.jar is present in <OIM_HOME>\server\lib. But I am able to login to OIM consoles.
What is the root cause of this issue? Appreciate your response.

Hi All,
Can any body tell me what are the reasons for this error.
Thanks

1. What version/service pack of Weblogic?
2. It looks like you are configured for a cluster. Is that correct?
3. Have you followed the documentation for configuring classpaths and
starting Weblogic?

ClassCastException while looking up RMI objects bound to weblogic.JNDI under WLS 6.1
We deploy a servlet (in a single .war archive) establishing a RMI connection to
an external Java object bound into weblogic JNDI (WLS 6.1).
We get a ClassCastException on invoking JNDI lookup:
Servlet failed with Exception>
java.lang.ClassCastException: $Proxy67
at com.thyssenkrupp.tks.tnt.admin.rmi.ClientServlet.init(ClientServlet.java:81)
at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletStubImpl.createServlet(ServletStubImpl.java:698)

Curiously we don't observe these problems when we include all the classes of the
remote application in the classpath of the WebLogic Server. Actually we want to
avoid including external classes in weblogic.classpath for (hot) deployment reasons.
It also seems that problems don't occur when accessing the remote object from
an independent client application.
We expect this to be a classloader conflict within WLS 6.1
Does anybody know a solution to our problems?
Thanks for suggestions
Andreas KoernerThere was a similar bug that was supposedly fixed in WL 6.1 SP 2. I had
filed a bug on this myself, and was given a patch for SP1, you should be
able to ask for the patch for CR060416.
