Do you have any idea how to resolve this error and start weblogic server succesfuly.
Best regards,
Edited by: user13311731 on Jul 28, 2011 10:45 PMHi,
Try starting the managed server with parameters:
./startManagedWebLogic.sh myManagedServerName http://serverName:7001
Does that make a difference?

Getting below error when i restart the server.

I have changed the jar files path in build.properties file as its required to import new jars as part of Documentum server upgradation. But getting above errors.. Do i have to update Config.xml file or any other file.. Please suggest. You've got a problem with a corrupted config.xml file.
Since you did not make any changes you can copy the config.xml.booted file over the corrupted config.xml.
The other option is to walk though the config.xml file and look for the problem... -

Hi,
I am new to weblogic, just started to playing around with it. I setup weblogic server with a cluster consisting of 2 servers, all running locally. I was trying to configure the web server functionality on weblogic 10.3. I followed the exact steps described at http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/config_wls/web_server.html, but I keep on getting a permission denied error:

Port 80 is not being used by the IP. Am quite lost at the moment on how to troubleshoot this problem.
Appreciate any advice offered. Thanks in advance. There's not much benefit to having 2 instances on the same machines vs having one instance on that machine. Putting a load balancer in front of a machine with 2 hosts only helps you when you lose a mgd server - but not when you lose an entire machine ( since both mgd servers go away too )
Consider:
Mgd Server A on machine myHost1 with java memory 512m/512m
Mgd Server B on machine myHost1 with java memory512m/512m
vs
Mgd Server A on machine myHost1 with java memory 1024m/1024m
vs
Mgd Server A on machine myHost1 with java memory1024m/1024m
Mgd Server B on machine myHost2 with java memory 1024m/1024m
The first config is your current situation. Your two mgd servers are fighting each other for processing time & memory on that machine. They can't use the same ports, so how does a user decide which port to use when they access your application?
The second config combines their resources into one mgd server
The third gives you load balancing ability - you can survive the loss of a machine. Also note that since the 2 instances are on DIFFERENT machines, they CAN use the same non-SSL and SSL ports. -

I get the same error when I execute "startWeblogic.cmd" from domain folder and bin folder.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.Hi,
Few comments here...
1) Seems your environment is not setup correctly but that is not the big cause here.....
2) This one is important, it seems that you installed weblogic using a different account and are trying to run it from a different account.
So the account with which you are trying to run weblogic does not have proper permission on
MW_HOME\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\fmwconfig\bootstrap\cwallet.sso
Right click on the file and go in properties ..
Enable full control, modify,Read and execute, read and write permissions for the user you are trying to start weblogic and apply it.
if this simple steps doesnt work, please enable more logging by adding "-Djava.security.debug=jpspolicy" to startup option and grab more details.
Good Luck let me know if this works. -
OIM Startup Error After weblogic user password change
Hello,
I'm running OIM 10g (BP15) on WLS server in clustered mode. Everything was running smoothly until -
I changed the weblogic password after going to
security realms >myrealm >Users and Groups >weblogic > Passwords:
I was able to login to WLS using new cred (weblogic/newpasswd). But OIM server startup started giving login errors as below.
I reverted back by change by setting the old password again... but the error continued....
Please suggest. I already tried putting the correct passwords in the boot.properties. But it didn't help.
Please note.. i'm successfully able to login to WLS console.. only OIM server startup is having below errors..
OIM_SERVER1.log is opened. All server side log events will be written to this file.>

Integrated WebLogic Server won't start
Hi,
Hope someone can help asap, as I am about to tear my hair out :-) Hopefully it's something straight forward and just can't see it from staring at it for too long!!
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Same happens, with or without the WebCenter Extensions installed via Check for Updates.
Steps:
Downloaded WC Portal 11.1.1.5.0 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/portal/downloads/index.html
Confirmed the user I log into Windows as - Admin, is part of the Administrators group.
Confirmed no CLASSPATH variable set
Installed, specifying MW_HOME as C:\Oracle\Middleware
Set ide.user.dir = C:/OraJDevUserFiles in C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\bin\jdev.boot to avoid any Win directory spacing issues
Confirmed Administrators group has full control over both directories: MW_HOME and C:/OraJDevUserFiles
Run C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdeveloper.exe
Run --> Start Server Instance (IntegratedWebLogicServer) (no need to even go as far as creating an application)
Message in log pane is as follows:
[Waiting for the domain to finish building...]
[05:44:01 PM] Creating Integrated Weblogic domain...
[05:44:42 PM] ERROR: An error occurred while building the default domain.
Please see this log file for more details:
C:\OraJDevUserFiles\system11.1.1.5.37.60.13\o.j2ee.adrs\CreateDefaultDomain.log
The Server Instance cannot be started because the Integrated Weblogic domain was not built successfully.
Click the link for C:\OraJDevUserFiles\system11.1.1.5.37.60.13\o.j2ee.adrs\CreateDefaultDomain.log to open in JDeveloper and shows as follows:

1). Odd thing is C:\OraJDevUserFiles\system11.1.1.5.37.60.13 doesn't exist if I go to Windows Explorer, although JDeveloper suggests it is. If I do File-Save As from JDev for the log file, I can navigate through the system directory it thinks exists! If I try and save the log file somewhere that does exist, e.g. C drive, it doesn't appear there in Windows Explorer!
2). What's causing the domain creation to fail in WL??
I get different results if I run JDev from here: C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\bin\jdev.exe
C:\OraJDevUserFiles\system11.1.1.5.37.60.13 is immediately created once launched
If I run the Integrated WebLogic Server, the domain is created correctly and everything apears within C:\OraJDevUserFiles\system11.1.1.5.37.60.13
If I then try and run the Integrated WebLogic Server via C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdeveloper.exe again (now that the domain has been created the other way!), I then get different errors in the JDev log:

Any ideas please??I had already uninstalled/deleted folders several times but no difference.
Oddly, to add into the mix....it didn't work, then uninstalled/cleaned-up/installed and then worked...I restarted machine and it no longer worked and back to square one?!?! uninstalled/cleaned-up/installed couple more times since but always the same issue, as described in original post. Very odd!
No difference whether a project has been created or not - thought I'd just make it simple with description, as this doesn't seem to affect outcome...
Thanks for responses so far. Any other ideas much appreciated! -

Also I am able to login into App designer. and the server name and JSL is mentioned in the Configuration file. And this is the first time i am facing the problem
Edited by: user5838027 on Dec 9, 2009 9:01 PMMost of the time this error is coming from a wrong psservername parameter definition in configuration.properties of your Webserver. Be sure you can ping the servername or IP address defined, and the port is the Jolt port of the AppServer domain.
Please, show us what's the value. And also your PTools, Weblogic, Tuxedo version and OS used.

Edited by: 842284 on 10 avr. 2012 07:41Hi,
Please navigate to the fmwconfig folder and check the adapters.os_xml file.
$DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/ovd/default/adapters.os_xml
There are chances the adapters.os_xml file could be corrupted due to which the Weblogic server fails to start.
Please verify if the adapters.os_xml file is valid.
In case the file is corrupted, please perform the following steps :
1) Take a backup of $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/ovd/default/adapters.os_xml
2) Delete $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/ovd/default/adapters.os_xml
3) copy adapters.os_xml from $MW_HOME/oracle_common/modules/oracle.ovd_11.1.1/templates/ to $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/ovd/default/
4) Restart the server.

Weblogic Server 9.2 not starting
Hello All,
Our weblogic server 9.2 admin server is not being started. This is a admin instance and we are having issue with the managed server startup as well.
We get the following error message - I have read another thread as well on this forum for different version of weblogic but nothing seems to be working. Currently the log says that some ldap files inside the ldap directory and log files are owned via root and when we try to start the server with dmadmin user, the files are not accessable.
Our problem is -
(1) It is a production box so we have to careful when we change the ownership of the files if required from root to dmadmin.
(2) If we change the ownership or delete the ldap files how it will impact to the production environment.
(3) We have test environment and there all these files are owned by dmadmin user but in production some how few of them are owned by root and not starting up...since we are using the dmadmin seesion to start it....
I am pretty new to Weblogic server so dont know how to solve it. Please share your thoughts....

<Apr 17, 2012 10:11:56 PM EDT> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server state changed to FORCE_SHUTTING_DOWN>Thanks Arun. Your reply is helpful. How can I identify weather I am using the node manager or not....What we use is the following script to start the server...
#this script will start Documentum Application
. /home/dmadmin/.profile
nohup /documentum/bea9.2/domains/DctmDomain/startWebLogic.sh > /documentum/dba/log/Weblogic/StartWL.log &
sleep 90
nohup /documentum/bea9.2/domains/DctmDomain/startMethodServer.sh >/documentum/dba/log/Weblogic/startMethodServer.log &
sleep 90
These are the files currently owned via root. I have asked the Unix team to change the ownership because I even can not delete the file inside the ldap directory owned via root. Then I will try to restart the server ....
<Domain_Home>\data\ldap\ldapfiles\EmbeddedLDAP.tran
<Domain_Home>\logs\adminServer.log
<Domain_Home>\logs\DctmDomain.log
Kindly suggest if we are on the right track....and about the node manager...

One more thing if you see our script -
#this script will start Documentum Application
. /home/dmadmin/.profile
nohup /documentum/bea9.2/domains/DctmDomain/startWebLogic.sh > /documentum/dba/log/Weblogic/StartWL.log &

nohup /documentum/bea9.2/domains/DctmDomain/startMethodServer.sh >/documentum/dba/log/Weblogic/startMethodServer.log &
sleep 90
We start the Method server after the weblogic server and we get the nested error which says - Could not obtain the lock

server might already running..
Thanks for your help -

Edited by: 940243 on Jun 16, 2012 11:13 PMNo. I have tried all the possibilities, but it is still not working.
I am the only user for my PC and, i have even tried runnig the server in admin mode as you suggested. rightclick on startWebLogic.cmd and run as administrator
If the procedure is wrong, please suggest another way.
I have another problem in addition to this. The model project is not being saved to the harddrive. If i create stuff in the model project it only lasts till i close the JDev, once i open it again, everything is lost.
