Weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspException: (line 1): Error in using tag library uri

Previously my web app was running fine using eclipse 3.1
When I upgraded my eclipse to 3.2 then built the same web app and deployed, upon running the url i got error
weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspException: (line 1): Error in using tag library uri='/tags/css' prefix='css' : cannot find tag class
Your help is appreciated.

          Hi Guys
Problem is almost certainly because I've gone and defined the get as returning
          an int, (hence no property!)

    Hmmm...
I'm trying to config my userprofile by creating it in the tools application (myserver/tools/index.jsp),
but when I try to access the Unified Profile Types I get an Error 500 Internal

    sounds something like this:

I'm running weblogic 6.0 and wlcs 3.5. I'm sure of that the tag libraries are
correct and they are located under tools/web-inf.

I am using WLServer6.1, and keep gettingg this error:
              Error: translation of /my.jsp failed:

Now, if I change sessionbean to Asessionbean:

Thanks for the reply. I have already opened up the BEA Support Case and they have provided me the latest JRockit rolling patch (1.4.2_08). After installing and pointing JAVA_HOME to this latest JRockit version, the javax.servlet.jsp.JspException problem got resolved. I have seen that most of the times JRockit related problems get resolved with latest rolling patch of JRockit.

This may not solve your problem, but WL8.1 SP1 seems to have a problem with
              closing tags.
              Where you are using:
              <randME:number id="random1" range="10000000-99999999"/>
              ...try this instead:
              <randME:number id="random1" range="10000000-99999999"></randME:number>
This problem is fixed in SP2.

That would focus on this part of the code:

  • Problems with JSP - using tag library with Weblogic 8.1

I am getting the following error when I try to run a web application called "regain":

This application runs fine on Tomcat.

    Hi
The message java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer is caused by network problem or even forced closure of IE browser.
This should not affect functionality and is harmless.
If the page process is too long, the user closed the browser or the user reloaded the page, this error could happen. Reloading a page or closing the browser is very common, and so we should not log this message.
BEA has a known issue CR219602 where we catch the SocketException and ignore the logging in the doEndTag() method.
If this error message is annonying please contact BEA Support to get a patch.
    Thanks

  • Error [javax.servlet.jsp.JspException

    Hi all,
I am having problems integrating j2ee web apps into the portal.
    Here's the step I've done:
    1. Creating an application that needs log in, and then does some transactions based on user actions/what user needs.
    2. Tested on local machine using Apache Tomcat 4.1 and works perfect!
    3. Created WAR whether directly from build result (using NWDS) and creating WAR from using deploytool.
    4. Created EAR file and then deploy it to the portal. All steps are done without error.
    5. Tried to open http://localhost:50000/
    <ear_name>
It gives me the following error:
Application error occurred during request processing.
      Details:
Error [javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Cannot find message resources under key org.apache.struts.action.MESSAGE].
    Exception id: [000C292A67430069000000D70000071000044AFC1E2EC5F1]
I need your help to find what's wrong...any suggestions are welcome. Let me know if you need any further details of the apps.
    TIA.
    Charles A.

    Hi Harini,
    Thnx for your reply.
I've deployed a J2EE apps before and it was using struts as well. But the difference is it was already build by other person and it worked well.
This time I get the "opportunity" to build it. Apparently something isn't right, dunno whether it's in the code or something but it can't even open the login page when it was deployed on the portal. I've tried to "match" everything up with the previous apps but still no result.
I must add that everything works perfect in local machine.
Still hoping this isn't a terrifically extremely stupid mistakes...
Still open to any help & suggestions.
    Regards..
