Websockets flash fallback not working when secure is true

I am running Coldfusion 11 on a 2008 win server box (IIS7). I have configured websockets in coldfusion using the built in server with all the defaults with the addition of my keystore for the SSL setup.
I am using the the secure="true" on the cfwebsocket tag.

My addition is simply the secure attribute.
All works fine, over both SSL and Non SSL (ws / wss) exactly how I expected. The problem came when I was testing it in older browsers < IE 10 etc. The flash fallback is loading up as I can see the element in the html but there is no connection to the websocket server and no data is moved around.
As soon as I remove the secure = true attribute everything is fine. Flash fallback works exactly how I was expecting.
I have all the relevant ports open on the firewall. Flash fallback uses 1243 and it seems to connect when I trace it via wireshark but the connection from flash back to websockets doesnt initiate.
Is it intended to work this way? Am I missing a trick somewhere? Do I need to change something in the crossdomain.xml policies?

It's interesting that it works for you and not me, I'm even more confused now. I did finally think to open up the java console and found the following error:

Hey all. I've recently run into an issue with Adobe Flash Professional using Actionscript3 to navigate to separate pages on my personal webpage. I believe I have the coding correct because when I open it locally in my browser, the links all work perfectly fine and navigate to the appropriate location on my hosting service. All of the links work correctly when I open the files locally but stop working when they are hosted. Is there a reason for this?

I'm not sure if I can even use a "www" prefix on those links. They are a free hosting service and the "www" prefix is replaced by "justinwidener". I can give it a shot and see what happens if I add "www" to the beginning.
UPDATE: So I have added the "www" prefix to the links and they are still not working. However, the links work on IE on my computer and on Google Chrome on a different computer.

Flash catalyst cs5.5 not working when i run the project

when i ran prodjects in flash catalyst cs5 it came up as a webpage that could scroll, now in cs5.5 when i run the prodject it cannot scroll and it doesn't scroll when you export for web servers, help much apreciated.

You should show block property

1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button.
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

   Download it first.
   The next step is important.
   Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
   If it doesn’t quit, Force Quit it.
   Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
   When Force Quit window appears, select the application if not already.
   Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
   Application will quit.
    Follow the prompts and install it.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins

Runtime error R6025 message after log on to Vista - Flash Card not working

I'm a newbie & would appreciate any advice.
I am getting a runtime error message R6025 when I log on to Windows Vista.
When I click out of the box I then get a message saying Toshiba Flash Card not working.
I cancel that and my laptop is ok except I don't know if the flashcard is working or not because I don't know what it does.

But I doubt this description would be useful for you or anyone here. It describes this error in Visual C++ and this is programming language.
However, I think you should simply reinstall the Value Added Package which you could download firstly from the Toshiba European page.
At first you have to remove the old Value Added Package from the system, then reboot the notebook and follow with new VAP installation.

Why does flash player not work with fcebook? Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player. When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one. I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows. I don't know anything else.

This means you don't have the latest version installed. Update to 11.9.900.117, and Firefox will allow it: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Flash Player not working in Firefox

Suddenly Firefox will not play flash player content called
when I play games online. It worked fine a few days ago.
When I click on the link, it opens the game page, but where
the game should appear, I see a blank black box. When I click on
the "Play online game" link I also get a large empty black box.
I am running Windows XP on an HP Pavilion ze2315us laptop. I
recently installed trial version of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.
In efforts to fix the problem I tried the following:
Removed adblocker addresses that might conflict.
Checked blocked sites
Removed and reinstalled Flash Player.
Reinstalled Firefox.
Set folder options to use Firefox to open SWF files
All to no avail.
I tried the web site in IE. Had to download and install Flash
Player again but it works fine in IE.
Afterwards, it still did not work in Firefox.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have installed adobe flash-plugin 11.2.202.233
In Google Chrome I can see flash applications very well.
But in Firefox 11.0 flash does not work.
When I look in about:plugins I see:

In above situation communication is not establised when a funtion which is retruning boolean is called from flash using
ExternalInterfcae.call.The return value of this function is getting as false inside flash.But the value is true in javascript.

Note that you have different file names for the object (images/banner.swf) and the embed (images/banner1.swf)
You also placed the embed in the middle of a param tag and nested all param tags.
Because you didn't include a MIME type and the object doesn't have a classid for an ActiveX control for IE, I'm not sure what Firefox will be using.<br />

thanks for helping. I have windows 7, internet explorer. recently had to replace my hard drive, and compete reinstall of all software so still a few bugs on settings, ect. not seeing any error messages. video and uploading pics seemed to be fine until the last week. not sure what could have changed . I can still look at PDF ect, I'm not positive its the Adobe that is messed up, but the 2 things I'm having problems with, clicking on and watching video on espn.com and not uploading pics to Facebook, both just does nothing when I try them. no errors, just black screen where its suppose to play or upload. the trouble shooting for both sites say make sure to have the latest version of flash player, so thats why I assume something is wrong with Adobe. when I do the self scan from this site it says I have the latest version. my settings say the player is enabled

AS3 not working when uploaded to linux server

Works like a charm when I preview it but when I upload to the
server (tried 3 different ones) it just ignore the actionscripts
all together no matter what I use.
What I have is a rotating banner system. I set it up to
randomly start at a specific one. If I preview it locally or run in
in my .html file locally (just using preview in dreamweaver) it
works like a charm and starts at a random one. When I upload it it
just starts at the first one like the actionscripts do not exist.

Pretty sure it is not a problem with the upload as I have
been doing this for years the same way with Dreamweaver. In
diagnosing the issue I rebuilt it and in place of the movie clips I
just put text and uploaded it. Worked like a charm. Added the movie
clips and again does not work when I upload it. Ignores the
actionscript and just plays them in order. Did a build from top to
bottom and from bottom to top also. Something in the movie clips is
causing it but darned if I can find the answer. I have done this
same thing before and it worked just fine. Just at a loss. I am
attaching the code inside the movie scripts which work just fine.
It is just ignoring scripts on the Scene 1 level.
