WebVPN on 881 Router and Groups

Hi there,
i have an question and i hope anyone can help me.
Is it possible on an Cisco Router to build WebVPN groups ?
I want build one group for users with grand access rights.
--> Connect with anyconnect or Web Portal and have access to all Servers on 10.0.0.0 Network.
And another group for users with limited access priveleges.
--> Connect with anyconnect or Web Portal and can access only Server 10.0.0.10 Port XXXX and Server 10.0.0.20 on Port XXXX
Info: i have an 881GW Router
thanks alot
kind regards
Jonas Diehl

Hi Jonas,
Yes you can use different permissions for different group of users depending on where your users are located , for e.g locally on the router or on radius server.
If its there on radius server, then you can push down some attributes and map it to use specific policy group or if users are created locally then you can use aaa attribute list.
The following is the document for your reference:-
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6586/ps6657/prod_white_paper0900aecd8051ac3a.html
Also lets take an example, for local user on router
aaa authentication login list SSL local
aaa authorization network localauthor local
webvpn context SSL
policy group policy_1
policy group ABC
default-group-policy policy_1
aaa authentication list SSL
aaa authorization list localauthor
gateway gateway_1
inservice
aaa attribute list ABC
attribute type user-vpn-group "ABC" mandatory
attribute type webvpn-context "SSL"
username cisco privilege 15 secret 5 $1$A840$hEkdXCQJRuPC3U5O8N3Gd0
username cisco aaa attribute list ABC
User cisco will be binded you use the policy as ABC and context as SSL and if there is no condition user will use the default policy policy_1.
I hope it helps.
Thanks,
Shilpa

• Can a Cisco 881 router create an L2TP/IPsec tunnel via NAT to Windows 2008?

Hi
Was anyone successfull in setting up an L2TP/IPsec tunnel through NAT-T against a Windows 2008/ R2 RRAS server? I am using an 881 router and the layout is someting like this:
Client -> 881 -> NAT -> internet -> Windows 2008 RRAS
The tunnel goes form the 881 to the Windows server (not from the client...).
Thanks
Roland

Hi Federico
Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.
In my case this should be transparent to the client - I would like not to initiate the connection from the client.
Does that makes sense? I am considering L2TP because Windows 2008 R2 doesn't support IPSec tunnels through NAT (2008 R2 being the responder and the Cisco router the initiator of the IPSec connection).
Regards
Roland

• Routing and WebVPN

Hello
I have a 1801 router directly connected to my ISP and on my LAN (with NAT). With SSL vpn to connect to my local network from internet. it's work perfectely but I would like to pass on the tunnel to acces to internet.
my local network is 192.168.0.0/24
the address pool for vpnconnexions is :
ip local pool webvpn-gw 192.168.0.230 192.168.0.250
this is the webvpn conf :
policy group default
functions svc-enabled
filter tunnel 100
svc address-pool "webvpn-gw"
svc default-domain "mshome"
svc keep-client-installed
svc dpd-interval gateway 30
svc homepage "www.google.fr"
svc rekey method new-tunnel
svc dns-server primary 217.119.170.10
svc dns-server secondary 212.23.30.10
default-group-policy default
gateway webvpn-gw
inservice
how to configure the router to route webvpn connexion to internet ?

You can have more than one WebVPN gateway associated with a device. Each WebVPN gateway is linked to only one IP address on the router. You can create more than one WebVPN context for a particular WebVPN gateway. To identify individual contexts, provide each context with a unique name. One policy group can be associated with only one WebVPN context. The policy group describes which resources are available in a particular WebVPN context.

• Group and Group counter in Routing

Hi all,
what is group and group counter in routing , how these are used in routing , please explain.
Regards,
Joseph.

Dear Joseph,
1.Each routing is stored against a group and group counter no.
2.When we create routing without respect to any material and only by giving the plant, the set of operations gets saved under one
group counter and group no.
4.Many materials can be assigned to this same group and group counter no,so that the routing is valid for all the materials included.
5.When you create a routing for material specific, the set of operation gets saved in a group no and group counter no as 01,when
you create another routing with another set of operations for the same material, plant and task list combination now the group no
remains same and the group counter gets saved under 02.
6.This data can be further helpful in assigning the routing data in the production version,.
Check and revert

• Lead Time - Customizatiou0131n steps: Shipping point, route, and loading group

It says about delivery scheduling that "The lead time considers the shipping point, route, and loading group". Can anybody explain me briefly the customization menu steps about this sentence?
Thanks in advance.

Please go through this document it will help you
1) Maintain transportation planning point through Menu as follows:
IMG Maintain Logistic Execution  Definition Enterprise Structure  transportation planning point.
Create your own like BP01 enter the general data¡¯s required
2) Defining modes of transport:
IMG RoutesBasic Transportation Functions  Transportation Logistic Execution Define modes of transportDefine routes
Use the standard like:
Shipping type: 01
Description: Road
3) Define shipping types :

Enter condition type FB00 that is freight condition type, which is used as standard in the shipping cost pricing procedure.
Enter the price and save it
Process:
1. The system determines the pricing procedure for the shipment cost item-using transportation planning point, service agent and shipment cost item category
2. Calculation Basis
3. Condition Record
4. Access sequence.
For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.
You use Transportation Planning to group pending deliveries into shipments and then to perform the shipments.
The outbound delivery documents contain routes that the system calculates in route determination, and a transportation planning date for the delivery.
Dynamic transportation planning is responsible for grouping together outbound deliveries into shipments that have at least the same route, visit plan type and the same transportation planning date.
The following restrictions can be taken into account for a shipment in Dynamic Transportation Planning:
• Weight
• Volume
• Variable capacity
• Number of stops
• Maximum duration
• Loading units
Create Shipment Document
Use
After the status of the delivery is open for transportation planning, it is possible to create a shipment document to schedule the transportation.

Go as main menu: Item --> Acc. assignment, you enter G/L acc. and cost center to which the transportation cost will be posted.
On the Standard change, details – Freight cost items screen, then check the check box “Transfer”, which means you will transfer the relative transportation cost to FI/CO, in this case, the system should determined which Purchase Order will used to settle the cost, so after you check the “Transfer” check box.
Press save button on the current screen.
Shipment cost settlement and documents:
Use
After the shipment cost settled in shipment cost document, it has the following affects:
It creates a service entry sheet that refers to the purchase order determined.
It posts acceptance of services performed.
It creates an accounting document for the accruals.
Further subsequent documents are created in FI.
Generally process is-
1) VL01N
2) VT01
3) VL02N - PGI
4) VI01
5) ML81N – Service Entry Sheet
6) MIRO – Invoice Verification
Shipping docs (VT01) are created before PGI...
You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue

• Routes and route groups expanded

Is there any way to force the routes and route groups to show un-expanded when I click on the Routes/Groups tab in switch executive? I have many and it is difficult to navigate when they are all expanded.
kph

Hi kphite,
At this time, there is no method to force the collapse of the routes and route groups. However, thank you for this product suggestion. Just so you know, we have previously considered the implementation of such a feature and agree that this functionality would be beneficial. We do have it in our plans for future revisions of NI Switch Executive.
Thanks again!

I configured the COM in the modem list and I tried to start the
"Routing And Remote Access" service and then
I got this message.

• WebVPN on 2821 Router

I have had my WebVPN working fine on my 2821. Now yesterday my ACS server died and I had to load it on another server to get stuff back up. I had my router setup wrong and had to get into the router using ROMMON mode, changing the Config-Register, etc, the ugly way. I got the AAA turned off and can now access the router. However, my WebVPN no longer works and I was thinking I had this issue before and I had to do something with re-creating my certificates, keys, etc.
Anyone have any ideas? I am all out at this point.

Hi Jonas,
Yes you can use different permissions for different group of users depending on where your users are located , for e.g locally on the router or on radius server.
If its there on radius server, then you can push down some attributes and map it to use specific policy group or if users are created locally then you can use aaa attribute list.
The following is the document for your reference:-
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6586/ps6657/prod_white_paper0900aecd8051ac3a.html
Also lets take an example, for local user on router
aaa authentication login list SSL local
aaa authorization network localauthor local
webvpn context SSL
policy group policy_1
policy group ABC
default-group-policy policy_1
aaa authentication list SSL
aaa authorization list localauthor
gateway gateway_1
inservice
aaa attribute list ABC
attribute type user-vpn-group "ABC" mandatory
attribute type webvpn-context "SSL"
username cisco privilege 15 secret 5 $1$A840$hEkdXCQJRuPC3U5O8N3Gd0
username cisco aaa attribute list ABC
User cisco will be binded you use the policy as ABC and context as SSL and if there is no condition user will use the default policy policy_1.
I hope it helps.
Thanks,
Shilpa

Here ere are my current configs, please let me know if you need anything else. Im stumped on this one. Thanks.

• What's the difference between transport route and transport layer

what's the difference between transport route and transport layer,Can somebody give me some explaination? thks in advance!

Hi,
Transport Layer in ABAP Workbench
The Change and Transport System supports the distribution of development
work on large projects across multiple SAP Systems.
The packages in each development system are grouped into one transport
layer.
The transport layer determines whether objects are assigned to a local
or transportable change request.
Use
Each of your SAP development systems is assigned a transport layer as
its standard transport layer. If you use Extended Transport Control, you
can assign different standard transport layers to certain clients.
You can define at the most one consolidation target for each SAP System
and transport layer.
When you create a package, it is assigned the standard transport layer
of the SAP System.
If you want to assign a different transport layer to a package, you
require the administration authorization for the Change and Transport
System.
The objects in a package automatically have the transport attributes
defined for the corresponding transport layer.
o If a consolidation route originating in their SAP System is defined,
then the objects are assigned to a transportable request, and
transported into the consolidation target when it is released.
o If a consolidation route is not defined, the objects are assigned to
a local request, and are not transported.
Customizing settings are not assigned to a package. They have the
transport attributes of the standard transport layer of the system or
client.
It is best to assign a package a standard transport layer for which a
consolidation route originating in the development system is defined.
To display and maintain the transport layers and routes, use the
Transport Management System (transaction STMS).
Only the system adminstrator can make changes.
Caution:
The tables TSYST, DEVL, TWSYS, TASYS are no longer productive as of
Release 4.0A and cannot be maintained.
Regards
Ben

Hello,
i have the same problem with router CISCO861W-GN-E-K9. Version 12.4(22r)YB5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Can someone help?
Thank you.
Here is my config for internal AP and router.

• Mismatch in Routing and production order

Dear All,
I am having problem with component allocation in rotuing.
For one of the component operation and sequence is 0010 and 0100 is assigned in component allocation. But in the production order it is picking as operation 100 sequence 0. Valid from date in fine. We have only production version and group no. i assgined correctly in prod version.
Can any on help me how to resolve this issue.
Regards,
Satyajit

Dear Satyajit,
If my understanding is correct then I guess the system behaviour is correct.
Generally the first set of operations created in the routing falls under standard sequence which gets saved under sequence
number as 0.So I assume you must have assigned the component for operation number as 0100 and sequence number as 0.
The same is getting copied in the production order, which is happening through the production version--->routing group and
group counter no.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Regards
Mangalraj.S

• Cisco 877W router and external ADSL modem

Cisco 877W router and external ADSL modem
In order to support ADSL2+ on a pre ADSL2+ router and in preparation for a later migration to BT infinity I am trying to configure the Router using an external adsl2+ modem appropriately.
The original configuration had 3 ports configured as one (internal lan) vlan and bridge group together with one wireless sub-interface, the remaining port configured a second vlan and bridge group with a second wireless sub- interface. The Dialer was a member of the second bridge group. This way the second wireless interface and associated bridge group provided a kind of DMZ for outbound access.
The configuration I am attempting is similar the lan ports remain the same, but port 0 as a member of the vlan and bridge group (now a pppoe client) associated with one of the wireless sub interfaces as per above. The ATM interface is downed. This nearly works except that if the wireless subinterface on this bridge group is configured the dialer no longer dials giving a 'no dialer string' error. If I do not configure that wireless sub interface all works well.
If anyone is interested to look I would appreciate any comments. I enclose a sanitised config in which you will note the 'commented out' wireless subnet interface (in red).

Hi Jody,
Apologies delay in replying. I have done the following:
Made two of the FE ports vlan1,BVI1 (for LAN traffic)
Left one port as VLAN10 as the pppoe client conected to the externalmodem
Made the last port VLAN10 as well and gave it an IP addess as for a DMZ client.
I have DHCP configured to serve the DMZ addresses.
This all works for LAN clients and also works for a client attachedto that physical DMZ port.
When I added a dot11radio sub interface into VLAN 10 the wireless client did not get an IP lease. Everything else continued to work.
I had never thought about this before, but if a dot11radio interface is on the same vlan (but not being part ofa bridge group) why are DHCP broadcasts not propogating to all the vlan members as I would have expected. I recognise that this isa limit in my understanding.
If I then made VLAN10 a member of a new Bridge Group, I lost WAN connectivity as per original posting.
I cannot add another VLAN due to the 2 vlan limit in this image.
Finally regarding your comment about giving it what it wants, what exactly did you have in mind. The dialer already has a dial string parameters configured.
Think I am about to give upon this.
Regards,
