Weird.. why is my ical on my iPad and iPhone deleting my appointments. I still have them on my iMac. But my appointments are actually disappearing.. so far january is gone..

All my appointments are disappearing from my iphone and ical.. it is almost like a virus.. everytie I open them something more is missing. The Imac keeps them. Any advice? This is scary when I rely 100% on my ical.. Can I trust it?

This can be caused by a number of issues.
Was everything working and then suddenly stopped??
Or is this a new clean setup and has never worked.
Do you have a cable modem which is not a router and the TC setup in bridge? That will cause it. The TC must be in router mode, ie dhcp and nat.
Check the IP the MBP gets including dns and gateway..
Then check the ipad/iphone.. post what IP dns and gateway (router in applespeak) they get.

I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information.

What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tabs in the App Store apps on the two devices ? If they still show your account id then try tapping on the id and log out of it and your wife can then try logging in with her account.
Any content that is already on them that was downloaded by your account will remain tied to your account, so only your account will be able to download updates to your apps.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Why won't Notes sync between iPad and iPhone?

I own an iPad and iPhone and use MobileMe. My contacts, calendar, mail and iDisk all sync properly but I can't get Notes to work.
On my iPhone Notes, I have the option of selecting the following accounts:
From my PC
MobileMe
My 3 different email addresses
I have placed my notes under both "From my PC" and "MobileMe."
My iPad doesn't even give me the option to select the various accounts in the same way the iPhone does.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I couldn't find any other topics that are having problems similar to mine.

I purchased my ipad at a Apple store and the salesman sold me the mobileme convincing me that everything including Notes would sync in the clouds! I still cant understand why we're paying for something that doesn't yet work. This is unacceptable. I just want my NOTES to seamlessly sync between my iphone, ipad and mobileme just like everybody else. Is this too much to ask or expect? Besides, isnt what thousands of paying mobileme subscribers expect.
I want my NOTES to be identical on all platforms and not have to check my mail accounts. Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

Email with Ipad and Iphone-Deleting off of server

On my ipad and Iphone, I have icloud turned OFF. I have a ATT account that I have set up to BOTH my Iphone and my Ipad. When I recieve and email, both my Ipad and My Iphone recieve the email. However, If I delete it from my Iphone, It automatically deletes on my Ipad. But the major problem is this....
I have on both Iphone and Ipad in Advanced Settings for Mailbox Behavior to Delete messages "On My iPhone" Trash, and not the server. But, When I delete a message on either device and go online into my ATT account on the server, the message is GONE.. It is not even going into my trash. It is like the message never existed!
If I delete a message from my Ipad or My Iphone, it is just to clear them off my phone, I want them to stay in my inbox on the server so I can do work when I get to my desk. I have doubled and tripled check that the Mailbox behavior for delete is to my iphone/ipad! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you are running v10.6.4, click the Apple () menu (top left in your screen) Software Update ...
Then sync both devices, restart both devices.

Why aren't notes transfering between iPad and iphone

Using I cloud and have notes checked off to sync but they are not moving from iPad to iPhone 5. Everything else is transfering - contacts, pictures, etc.

Notes located in the "On my mac" or "on my device" (but not in the "icloud") sections will not sync to icloud. Could that be the problem?

It sounds like you are unable to sign into your iMessage account becuase of an error message telling you to check the connection. I recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:

If you see "Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" when signing in to your Apple ID
To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Verify that you have a data connection by going to www.apple.com in Safari. You can complete Apple ID activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure that your local Wi-Fi network is using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.
Sign in to your account and ensure that the primary email address and alternate e-mail addresses have been verified. If verification is pending, follow the instructions in the email Apple sent to that email address to complete verification. Or remove the e-mail addresses from the account.

Why do my photos on MacBook, iPad, and iPhone keep reproducing?

I keep getting multiple copies of photos I have taken on my iPhone, sometimes four or five copies of the same photo, and I can't find any way to delete the,-no trash an icon on most of them. These are choking my iPad. What can I do?

I had this issue as well. Quick fix - with iPhoto Open, disconnect your iPhone from the computer, then reconnect it. This resolved it for me (without having to update software as several other posts have suggested).

Why does itunes only recognize my ipad and iphone as a camera?

I have follwed all of the tools in the support menu and my itunes account will only recoginze my iphone and ipad as a camera, It won't allow me to sync them because it keeps being recognized it as a camera.....any advice you could give me would be appreciated.
